The fact that some whales dumped and bitshares didn't meet their objectives doesn't mean that "nobody cares about this coin".."coin"lol...what coin?? bitshares is not a coin...

while shares are worth pennies

That's right they're "SHARES" and they're "WORTH PENNIES".  Lol

bitshares gives you the possibility for the first time to be able to have TRUE DECENTRALIZED MONEY (or coins if you like) like bitusd, bitcny, bitgold, bitbtc and not IOU btc of exchanges that risk to get hacked at anytime or fiat money saved in banks that risk to collapse anytime, or apply haircuts on your deposit or capital controls...

lol DE maybe you should look into Unit 8200 before jumping the gun. Synereo does have blazing red flags

Well, I don't know about their past involvement with Unit 8200, but I think evidence of their political beliefs is in the code they release.  Regardless of where they were previously employed, it looks to me that they are trying to create a legitimate, decentralized platform which will allow unmitigated free speech unencumbered by corporate and state espionage.  When they release the code and the beta program next month, their agenda will be made known.  Imo, it is foolish to label everyone who works for a certain agency as subscribing to a certain political mindset.  Policies carried out by agencies and those who work for them do not always originate from the inside and there is undoubtedly many different political persuasions at work inside these agencies.

Personally, the reason I invested in Synereo was because of their vision for a free and open social network without the constraints that accompany the centralized social networks of today.  I've always believed in free speech and anything that facilitates that end is a good thing in my book.

The code's already fully available.
https://github.com/synereo/

Good to know.
1646  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: WARNING! Communists Attempting to Subvert Decentralized Free Speech Movement! on: January 06, 2016, 09:57:13 PM
The guy who wrote this is getting it across to the reader that: 'corporate or government espionage' IS Synereo.
Synereo should rightfully have been placed after 'to create a decentralized social network'

..or did I misunderstand his point? is he indeed calling Synereo 'corporate or government espionage'?

What he is really saying is that "freedom is slavery", he may not even know he is a troll of the obligatory.

As a member of the Synereo community I can say that none of the folks in the synereo community I know profess any communist ideals, the more radical ones are closer to libertarians and anarchists.

Anyone can be part of the community and branch their own branch of the code if their is anything dubious about it.  In my view we are doing wonderful work that is necessary if we hope to be winning the information war.

The founders are in no way radical as far as I can see and are only interested in building a network nobody can control that is private, economically scalable and rewards people for the attention their participation attracts rather than the corporate giant information silos.

If there is something wrong with synereo, join the community, let us know and the community will fix it.  The community believes in the ideals Synereo professes of building a safe and fair cyberspace and would not willingly allow it to be subverted.  It is the antithesis of the dominated internet which will guarantee free speech.  Saying that it subverts free speech is so far from the truth that it reaks of Orwellian delusion.

"Make the lie big, make it simple, keep saying it, and eventually they will believe it." - Adolf Hitler

Ad hominem remarks are counterproductive and play into the hands of those who seek your information in order to have the advantage over you.  Don't be fooled by fallacious arguments.

Jim

Obviously, something got lost in translation, maybe due to my poorly phrased sentence in the op.  I'm not saying that Synereo is a communist plot.  I'm saying that Roach is a communist trying to subvert the Synereo free speech movement.

I think somewhere deep down you realize it is Nxt's closest competitor and resent not investing in it early.

Wrong genius.  I was mining PTS on day one and managed to accumulate a significant amount of PTS.  Go check your forum for a member called "2Kool4Skewl" and you'll see me there unless they deleted all my posts.  I wasn't critical of the Larimer Gang in the beginning, but I quickly caught on to their tactics.  You'll find that the biggest criticizers of Bitshares are usually the people who were there from the beginning.
Hm, very well then. I just find your obsession odd and figure there has to be a reason for it... you are to Bitshares what Spoetnik is to alt coins...

I guess it has to do with the fact that I actually remember when BTS was going to be PoW and only after NXT came out with its PoS algo did they change BTS to PoS.  That though didn't bother me so much because imitation is the greatest form of flattery, but the fact that they took PoS and turned it into their centrally controlled DPoS sham, I found upsetting.  Not to mention the countless other things that they've done like endorsing seizing money out of people's accounts, changing the terms on investors so many times nobody can keep count, trying to sell their testnet, etc....  I'd be here all night if I listed everything.

You are such a hypocrite anyways because everyone knows how poorly Nxt was initially distributed. I guess since you were one of the lucky few you can look past that, huh?

You're an international communist too huh?

Regardless of how many NXT I own, I can't rig the block producers by a fraudulent voting mechanism created to obscure the secret establishment of a block producing monopoly like you can in Bitshares.  If I want a greater share of the blocks, I have to go out and purchase more NXT.
It is not the Larimers' fault that no one votes. They couldn't of predicted 85% of stakeholders would suffer from voter apathy, so much so that they can't even select a proxy to vote for them. Without the Larimers' Bitshares would be nothing, so I am happy to have them in "control" of the chain. Daniel dreams big, thinks outside the box, and delivers as far as coding. If they did anything too terrible it would probably wake the rest of the stakeholders up and get them voting any ways.

You are complete missing my point.  DPoS's flaw has nothing to do with only having a small subset of the base actually cast votes in the election.  The flaw (intentionally introduced imo) has to do with the fact that they use approval voting where you can cast a vote for as many or as few candidates as you like.  This electoral sham allows a very small minority of the voting base to effectively control the outcome of the election via strategic voting.  This is magnified by the fact that there is no Sybil protection for "delegates" aka "witnesses".

If you want something that exposes you to a crypto transformative technology which will have widespread appeal then I'd recommend you take a look at the Synereo social network

Great, another information gatekeeper media network straight out of Tel Aviv from the "Israeli Air Force computer unit" LOL.  People need to start boycotting these ethnocentric, racial supremacist cult, Zionist mafias that are constantly forming monopolies in media, banking, and politics using ethnic nepotism.  If they're not attempting to financially enslave you, they're attempting to brainwash society with a constant stream of far leftist Marxism.  Either that or trying to manipulate your politicians to force you to fight their wars and die in the middle east somewhere while they play tennis.

Just say no.  Short it to 0.

Look at the imagery they use.  Looks like it was cooked up in some Tel Aviv board meeting where they said, "Hey guys, the female goy are not quite vapid and mindless enough with their 70 IQ and huge sense of entitlement yet.  How can we socially engineer them to make them even more repulsive?  I know, let's design an "attention economy" and tell them they're all princesses and deserve to be worshipped on our social media platform, catering to their primitive instincts of asinine vanity.  Ovey!"

Dump it to zero.  Just say no.

It has come to my attention that Roach (quite apropos), a known communist and supporter of anything that can be centralized or rigged to feign decentralization, is now actively attacking a project whose intent is to create a decentralized social network which will enable people to freely express themselves without falling prey to corporate or government espionage called Synereo.  These types of international communists would like nothing better than to have you keep using their corporatized Facebook so they can spy on you, your family and all your friends.  As I have stated previously and according to Vladimir Lenin, there is no difference between state socialism and state capitalism and Roach's attempt to label Synereo, a movement to facilitate unrestricted free speech, a "Zionist Left-wing Marxist" conspiracy is THE REAL communist agenda to maintain their stranglehold.  No doubt, this is a Chicom operation to destroy anything which threatens Chicom party hegemony.  Unrestricted free speech and the ability to break free from monopolized corporate agendas is the anti-thesis of state socialism / state capitalism.  Don't Be Fooled!

You calling somebody else a "Marxist" is pretty rich seeing that you're the numero uno supporter of the lying, cheating, stealing, wealth redistributing Larimer Gang and their Chicom associates.  How exactly is creating a decentralized social network which will allow unparalleled free speech and will unburden you from corporate / gov spying a "Zionist Left-wing Marxist" conspiracy?  Serious question.
1652  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] AMP - The Currency That Powers Your Attention On Synereo on: January 04, 2016, 10:34:55 PM
Interesting idea, but without PoW you lose a lot of this forum's interest.

Wow bro!  It must be really cool being a super rich PoW miner, but for the rest of us PoW mining hasn't been profitable since 2013.

There is no developer this active and skilled like dogecoindark.

Features, anonymous payment, he can do it all.

He's me favourite one for sure.

1654  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What will be the final amount of DASH? on: January 03, 2016, 11:36:59 PM
final amount = waaaay less than the original total supply that was advertised when Evan launched which was like 80,000,000 or so.

Yup the scam is coming out.

By reducing the supply he lied and stole from future users of Darkcoin/Dash from the original social contract that was setup by him in the first place.

So evan is a liar and a thief essentially.

Not to mention his double speak about starting a "for profit startup" then later claiming he was doing Dark/Dash as a "hobby".

I have to say Evan is probably the scamiest guy on here right after the Larimer Gang and the Chicoms.
1655  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Maidsafe is it vapourware? on: January 03, 2016, 11:29:09 PM
Yes, imo Maidsafe is a lot of hype over nothing.  How long has it supposedly been in development? 8 yrs or something ridiculous, right?  Regardless, nobody needs Maidsafe when there is I2P which is FREE.

If you want something that exposes you to a crypto transformative technology which will have widespread appeal then I'd recommend you take a look at the Synereo social network and AMPs which power the "attention economy".
1656  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BitShares Scam 2.0, another money grab. on: January 02, 2016, 12:48:57 AM
Well, they are at it again and again and again. The only thing they seem to be consistent in is trying to pilfer more money off their delusional base.

They asked for $45K in cash to implement "stealth transfers" in BTS 2.0. Some poor schmuck over there decided he would give them $45K of his own money if he could recoup it in stealth transfer fee. (Although I suspect it may be a rouse. They have some "plant" offer up his money in hopes that it "inspires" the people with actual money to hand it over.)

LOL.  The level of gullibility over there is unbelievable.  I'm sure it's an absolute hayday over there for the Larimer Gang robbing these mental midgets day in and day out that they like to call "investors".  I know that it's hard to imagine that anybody could really be this stupid and that this has to be another one of their rouses, but keep in mind that the intelligence quotient over there is sub-zero.

@ your OP... they decided eventually to release Bitshares 2.0 under the MIT license, so basically your whole OP is rubbish now.

Yeah, I guess that scam was so obvious that they had to obscure it by releasing the code as "open source".  What a crock.  The fact remains that Cryptonomex Inc is actively attempting to sell their "product" to third-parties which will cut out all current Bitshares' investors.  Think about geniuses... If they are able to convince a company with greater liquidity than Bitsnares to have their own USD chain who is going to end up the winner?  The company with liquidity and money for marketing or the poor schmucks who just bought the Larimer Gang / Chicoms last Bitsnare?

1660  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why Bytemaster Likes Ethereum on: December 31, 2015, 05:37:12 AM
Actually, as far as I know he owns only Graphene blockchain tokens and all the Graphene IP is in the public domain.

Let me rephrase it then...

It's because you, his mother, your Chicom backers or whatever legal entity you used to obscure the majority of your holdings dumped all his/hers/its Bitsnares on the lackies and threw it all into Ethereum.
