1641  Economy / Goods / BitBrew has gone global! on: July 08, 2011, 04:38:53 PM
The number of requests for BitBrew coffee from abroad have grown so much, I've finally been able to negotiate much better international shipping rates. Now, for only 1.5 BTC more, even those outside the continental US can enjoy premium coffee in exchange for bitcoins.

My thanks go out to all current and future customers for helping to grow the Bitcoin economy.
1642  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: So who is bitcoin *really* for? on: July 07, 2011, 11:33:36 PM
I haven't mined a day in my life.

I came across Bitcoin while doing some research on economics (to make an educated reply in another forum) back in April. I was lucky enough to get to buy some via PayPal before that option went up in smoke, but I was stupid enough to gamble them away. In the end, when the exchange rate began to increase dramatically, I was back where I started - at zero.

In hindsight, I do wish I had purchased more and acted more responsibly with them, of course, but my poor decisions don't take away from the desirable qualities of bitcoins which attracted me to them in the first place. At the moment, they seem to be a way to get rich in and of themselves, but this is simply a byproduct of the market, not built into the bitcoin client.

My advice to anyone who feels that they're being left behind by the Bitcoin train: review your motives and carefully consider why you want bitcoins.
1643  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I need web hosting help on: July 07, 2011, 10:37:13 PM
I was reluctant to reply when this thread was first created because I was sure the many individuals who offer hosting would jump at the opportunity to solicit your business, but since they haven't...

I can offer you webhosting that would match your needs for 1 BTC a month and I'm willing to adjust that price each month in accordance with the going exchange rate.

PM me for more details.

Here, we see an illustration of Paul Revere warning the British that BitCoins are dropping.

He's on a horse.

Yes, a horse named Satoshi.

Hi Everyone Smiley I have here a free Bitcoin Ebook so you'll be familiarized with it. Just PM me so I can send it to you Smiley Take care guys!

Didn't you have 22 posts yesterday? And today you have 14?

It doesn't matter how many posts someone has on there profile. Most likely her other posts were deleted because someone thought they were "spam" even though they weren't. Katherine really does have an e-book that has 45 pages crammed full of information about mining. Perhaps you should consider speaking with someone before you make statements about them. Smiley

Question marks indicate inquiries, not statements.
1646  Other / Off-topic / Re: I am killing this persona. on: July 07, 2011, 12:57:09 PM
He doesn't have to change behaviorally, just watch his post content.

I see where he's coming from, also. I was 23 when I became a retail business owner and I've been told I look much younger than I actually am. Consequently, I had several customers who refused to believe I was the owner or manager, thinking that, at best, I was the owner's son. I can't say with any certainty how much business I lost because of this, of course, but I can attest to the fact that many people will judge you based on your age.

And just to get it out of the way - No, I'm not Atlas.
1647  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Bitcoin Bubble Game (with jackpot) on: July 07, 2011, 12:32:03 PM
Since this game has been closed indefinitely, I thought I'd let anyone interested know that a very similar game has started up at http://bitcat.ch/.

1648  Economy / Gambling / Re: BitCat.ch - automated bitcoin game on: July 05, 2011, 11:54:26 PM
How does one lose coins?

The game ends and whoever hasn't gotten paid yet loses out.
1649  Economy / Gambling / Re: BitCat.ch - automated bitcoin game on: July 05, 2011, 10:08:03 PM
When will this round end?

I was just about to ask the same thing. It says "and never ends" at the top.
1650  Economy / Gambling / Re: BitCat.ch - automated bitcoin game on: July 05, 2011, 05:46:22 PM
I do believe this round was set to end around this time.
1651  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Any experience with Mybitcoin.com on: July 05, 2011, 01:11:05 PM
Does anyone have any experience with mybitcoin.com?
I know with my own wallet, I can have different addresses in my wallet_id. If I generate new address in mybitcoin.com; what happens to my old address? Can I still get the btc sent to the old address?

Since no one else is answering your question:

Yes, you can still have btc sent to any old addresses mybitcoin.com generates and they should show up in your wallet.
1652  Economy / Services / Re: Rent your very own comical sidekick. 0.5btc on: July 05, 2011, 01:52:34 AM
Don't limit yourself to RL, shakaru. I can envision some instances when a sidekick can come in handy online. You'd be like a sockpuppet without the ethical dilemmas!
1653  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: MtGox Websocket finally open! on: July 05, 2011, 12:56:44 AM

1655  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you really believe Satoshi is real?? on: July 04, 2011, 12:19:07 AM
I don't understand what you're implying. That Satoshi isn't his (her?) real name? Did anyone ever think it was?Or that the white paper popped into existence out of thin air?

There's always coffee.

If you're a tea drinker, that's coming soon.

Just bought two bags of coffee from bitbrew.net.

* Karmic Sumatra
* Peruvian Pick Me Up

Total = 1.5 BTC

Yes, I see your order. Coffee will be roasted Tuesday due to the holiday and shipped out Wednesday.

Thanks for shopping at BitBrew!

Any reason why the captcha on your site was half Chinese and half English?  It was 100% English on refreshing, but not at first.

It's a captcha based on text scanned from books so I'm guessing it wasn't caught by whomever loaded it. More info here: http://www.google.com/recaptcha/learnmore
1660  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Mybitcoin.com - Not working? Hacked ? on: July 03, 2011, 09:25:37 PM
Working for me now.

Is it?

 Still not working for me!  Can you contact them and ask what is happening?

I sent them a message and recommended they respond in this forum.
