1661  Other / Meta / Re: Should the forum stop advertising mixers? on: March 16, 2023, 10:44:38 AM
Quote
The platform is believed to have enabled the laundering of 152,000 BTC – around $3.8 billion at current prices – since 2017, a large share of which was connected to ransomware groups, illicit goods trafficking and child sexual exploitation.

Such shame, we need to do a "walk of shame" for those advertising such services, I guess their argument is "if someone kills a man with a knife, should we stop the sales of knives?" Yes if the knife has grooving on it, we should because it was designed to kill people faster.

Are mixers good for privacy? Yes they are perfect privacy tools for illegal activities. I wonder how many people used that service, 7 TB of data, lol it looks like they logged everything.
1662  Economy / Services / Re: [WTB] Sell your EMPTY ETH Wallet! ($5-10/address) on: March 15, 2023, 01:47:38 PM
He just want to claim that free UniSwap tokens for you ... sell him your wallet used for uniswap trading and he will claim free 400 uniswap tokens ... It's that simple.
How much do they pay for those garbage tokens these days?
1663  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: i have no programming knowledge. but i love bitcoin and would like to learn on: March 15, 2023, 03:31:52 AM
Start from at least a few weeks being on the forum, getting to know your way around, read a few topics, learn who is an expert and who is an agent of misinformation.

To speed up the process, you can learn some basics from here:
https://learnmeabitcoin.com
More basic stuff on site, go here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=39.0

Above is the newbie board, around these woods if you ask newbie questions, mods will guide your topic to the said board to get help properly because here is more technical stuff, for advanced users. Welcome.
1664  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: We are working on an API for Bitcoin! on: March 14, 2023, 03:33:58 PM
Not to be a buzz killer, but what is the point of a service if the said service has no platform to offer it's services? First thing for an online service is a front end complete website.
In a few hours will check it out if it's working however.
1665  Economy / Services / Re: LoyceV's convenient (paid) service for signature campaign managers on: March 14, 2023, 02:56:54 PM
A convenient way with less hassle and trouble for managers, maybe you could offer life time plans? If you could automate everything then it should be easy for you to handle life time offers. Nice job👏
1666  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Which is more paying? on: March 14, 2023, 02:47:57 PM
You and your entire household wanna join bitcointalk for bounties? Well it's not worth the efforts, because 75% of bitcoin paying bounties are always reserved for friends and alts, and 99% of garbage coin bounties are nothing but scams, most of the times you won't even get anything at all because that's how much they are scammy.

The bread you put on your table must come from a pure and legit source of income, do not pollute your lives with these questionable funds.
1667  Other / Politics & Society / Re: To all women in bitcoin world on: March 14, 2023, 01:57:16 PM
Hey man, lets leave women out of this Ok? I see that you claim to be a mathematician and a programmer, why don't you visit Ivory tower so we can discuss about your capabilities? You could prove yourself worthy of the attention from people after all, eh?
1668  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: 1111111111111111111114oLvT2 on: March 14, 2023, 01:47:03 PM
1BurnTheseCoinsNowgk38fLR5y3meHnE, there is absolutely no way for you to verify whether I know the private key to that address or whether I don't.
There is no hardware/ and software in the world capable of generating 17 character prefix address,  not gonna lie you could generate that after 2^80 key gen operations.

I believe there should be some sort of fail safe in place to avoid losing coins when you make a mistake sending to a wrong script, maybe miners/ nodes should never accept to relay such transactions?
Also do you know how many zeros could RIPEMD-160 algo produce for a 160 bit hash? I guess it's not generating a certain fixed value.
1669  Other / Off-topic / Re: What all men's want most in life on: March 14, 2023, 01:25:44 PM
Real men want 3 things, good food, good pussy, good sleep. If you disagree we should create a poll for it.🤣
1670  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [Quiz 2022] History of Bitcoin and Bitcointalk 🚩 on: March 14, 2023, 01:20:43 PM
7/21, I only answered the scam ICO which I'm advertising with certainty, other questions were hard. Lol.
1671  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: 🥧 1st edition - Bitcointalk Pie Baking Contest 🥧 on: March 14, 2023, 12:59:32 PM
Why not? Maybe we could have some cooking contests in the future, we could even invite Gordon Ramsay to cuss at participants nonstop. Like the pie idea though for obvious reasons I can't see the images, these stupid bans/ filtering.

Haven't seen them but I'm already hungry, lol.
1672  Other / Meta / Re: Request Information Moderation: Topic edited, no info on: March 14, 2023, 12:46:11 PM
But if you don't want to leave a trace on Bitcointalk, don't create an account on Bitcointalk Smiley
The whole "right to be forgotten" is dumb anyway. Many companies here require a copy of your passport and a signed request before they remove your data. Sending more information kinda defeats the purpose of being forgotten.
I expect nothing less from a known social profiler/ data analyzer.😉

Ordinary people should have nothing to fear, unless they engage in illegal activities, otherwise why would someone want to erase his traces from the internet, it's not like we're Satoshi to fear for our lives and vanish. Simply put, don't make enemies and don't scam people, you will be fine. And leave the antics to remain in the past, lol why do you guys care about old topics anyways.
1673  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hal Finney RUNNING BITCOIN- What was Bitcointalk contribution? on: March 14, 2023, 12:21:37 PM
He is in cryo, technically dead (r.i.p) but there is some rays of hope to bring him back in the future.
1674  Other / Ivory Tower / Dangers, exploit methods and countermeasures regarding Collisions!!! on: March 14, 2023, 12:14:56 PM
I would like to discuss about implications of collisions if found.
Dangers to the whole system.
Known methods of exploit.
Countermeasures.
What are the possible contingency plans?
Do's and don'ts in case of discovery.
What should be the community's reaction?
How could we prepare the entire market, miners, nodes, services, traders, long and short investors and end users?

In case if you are unaware, we are in uncharted territory where nobody is going to rush in to help us if a disaster occurs, decentralized economy means that we need to have a plan A, B, C and even more, it's not just about a few keys and coins being exposed, it is rather much bigger than that, one thing I could think of was the fact that if a collision especially in SHA-256 is to be found, discarding the importance of what might happen to governments and their infrastructures considering they're dependent on the security of such algos, we can't simply ignore hundreds of billions invested in crypto markets, hence the need to come up with ideas to  mitigate the damage and minimize the losses as much as possible.

I might in the future devise an article to publish on the net, hopefully we could spread the words so that everyone know that we have plans in place for every unforeseen unfortunate event that might come our way. It's called crisis management.

I love it here, this is my luxurious penthouse at the loneliest place in the world, welcome.😉
1675  Other / Serious discussion / Re: The Effect of the Sillicon Valley Bank crash on Bitcoin and Cryptocurrency on: March 14, 2023, 11:41:04 AM
Always provide a link to the source of the news for people like me who don't give a fack about financial crisis related to central banks so we could simply click and read more on the subject, because I couldn't care less what happened to them. And if you think some crisis in a bank is going to hit bitcoin, you are wrong, all these things happening is the suicide of centralized banks by their own hands, a bitcoiner doesn't care what happens to them. Read the coin base message of bitcoin genesis block.
1676  Other / Serious discussion / Re: What are those problems you enjoy solving. on: March 14, 2023, 11:05:14 AM
I like to solve problems in the first place, which gives me euphoria and, of course, the desire to solve them. That's what drives me. That desire opens the way for me. The longer and harder it is, the more challenging and interesting it is to me.
Such as? If you are that much excited about challenges I would like to introduce some of them to see how you face them, are you in?
1677  Other / Bitcoin Wiki / Re: The Bitcoin Wiki Modernization Project - request changes and edits here on: March 14, 2023, 11:01:40 AM
Wow sir NotATether, are you an admin or just the key keeper? I assume that Luke has abandoned the forum all together and won't come back after the security scandal. Can I have access? I'd like to share some of my findings related to brute force, lattice and various other attack vectors as well as adding some info about vanity private keys, vanity public keys and pub key hashes.
I have found interesting collision attacks which could be useful for researchers, you know if someone knows of a way to attack/ collide, there is 100% certainty that some others know it as well, so it's better to share it publicly for the involved parties to come up with their solutions.
1678  Economy / Services / Re: [OPEN] Flush.com Signature Campaign | Sr Member+ | Up to $80/week on: March 14, 2023, 10:49:56 AM
Wow sir Little Mouse, good thing I saw this topic, I presume the cut on my trust page is too deep which you can see from miles away, I'll be right back with my alts. Lol.
1679  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: What if all of the miners get the same answer? on: March 14, 2023, 08:23:39 AM
In simple term, the dad ( previous block ) does not want 2 kids, he only wants 1 kid, if there are 2 kids, one of them is orphaned. Such a cruel world, right?
Wow what a beautiful story. But what if the dad has the power to run the 2 kids equally? Then one more child will not be an orphan. Because the father has the proper power to run the two children, then both children will have equal rights to the father?
Many have said, you have to choose any one?
What? I don't know what this man is talking about, lol. That was an analogy I used, it's not applicable to the real mining scenario. The whole network operates on a certain sets of rules, when you mine a block, you are confirming the previous block making it more mature, those who mined the blocks back in the chain, would continue to stay with the block which has the more hash rate behind it, so yes if you have more power you could win the battle by building on top of the longest chain, and others would as well follow. But you can't keep the two blocks for yourself, because that will become a fork and creates a new chain.

Some kids in the past thought they have the power to fork away and stay successful, look at their miserable garbage coins now. Lol.
1680  Other / Off-topic / Re: Webb telescope makes a surprising galactic discovery in the distant universe on: March 14, 2023, 06:42:57 AM
It's all in the things we have learned. For example. If you stand in the middle of Kansas, and look up at the sky at night, you will see a flat earth with a dome over it. The knowledge that this is not the way it is comes from consensus 'reports' from a whole bunch of people who seem to know.

The point is, everybody bases what he understands on info he gets from his senses. If light from the stars is running through the lens of the 'ether' in ways that nobody has understood the mechanisms of, we get a skewed view of what and where the stars really are.

Certainly this is the same for our view of things from the distant past. It's far better to listen to the records of people who have been there, than to try to guess that we are guessing correctly with our so-called science.

Cool
I assume the kansas you are referring to is for earth #567? Spherical shape of the earth and other extraterrestrial bodies is due to the gravitational forces( believe it or not, I'm being stubborn  about my ideas too, i.e. in tech boards I made a mess because I don't understand the elliptic curve completely, so I just spout nonsense until someone puts some sense in to the discussion).
There are so many experiments which you could perform yourself to see how physics work. It just needs study, something I need to do more often before posting misinformation. Lol.
