Here is my 1st draft for the CRISP for Kids article.  I'm probably only at around 450 - 500  words, so I could use everyone's input as to what else needs to be said.  I agree with Marc on being careful that things don't get wordy.  I would rather have a short article than one with too much filler.   The title is just a thought.

I purposely left out the Rich List, because I think it is something that is exclusive to the cryptocurrency culture.  I don't feel comfortable bragging about the the rich when I would rather be helping the poor.  I think this is true of everyone at DNotes and part of what we stand for.  Let's be rich... and humble. Smiley

CRISP For Kids - The Cryptocurrency Investment Savings Plan is Born

The CRISP For Kids program began as a joint pilot project of DNotes and CryptoMoms in July 2014.  It was designed to evolve around CryptoMoms, a currency neutral site dedicated to encourage women's participation in cryptocurrency.  This design allows for the easy participation of family and friends.  http://cryptomoms.com/

CRISP for kids was created to help the world's children and grandchildren develop strong saving habits early, in order to help secure their financial future.  All CRISPs (Cryptocurrency Investment Savings Plan) are unstructured and self directed plans, using DNotes as the investment vehicle.  Re-occurring savings, in a any amount, may be added at any time.

After the launch of the CRISP, it soon became evident that the parents, grandparents, aunts, and uncles from around the world are genuinely concerned about the financial well being of the children in their families.  In fact, many of the kids currently in the program were signed up by their grandparents who gave them a gift of DNotes to get them started.

Children are great candidates for a long term savings plan in digital currency.  Their long term investment horizon and the early stage of the digital currency industry allows for significant capital appreciation.

Anyone can set up or contribute to a child's CRISP, giving this program the potential to help children around the world.  A teacher could establish CRISPs for all of his or her students, and at the same time start teaching the class about digital currency.  Cryptocurrency can be a powerful lesson tool and what is new and evolving today will be the norm for them in the future.

The funds from the CRISP can be used by the child for their education, travel, their first home, as well as many other things.  By the time the children are old enough to withdraw the DNotes, they will be very grateful their parents or grandparents had the foresight to take early advantage of an investment in digital currency.

With the launch of the DNotesVault in December, 2014, you need little more than an email address to start a CRISP.  All deposits sent to any DNotesVault address are securely stored offline in DNotes cold storage vault with a 100% guarantee.  http://www.dnotesvault.com/

Everyone at CryptoMoms is very proud of the CRISP For Kids program and it is a delight reading the posts of the proud parents and grandparents as they share a little bit about each child.  Some have left messages that will outlive the writer and it is starting to have almost a time-capsule feeling.

CryptoMoms and the DNotes team are dedicated to helping anyone interested in starting a CRISP for any child.  Please visit:  http://cryptomoms.com/forum/cryptomoms-com/5/kids-with-a-cr-i-s-p/530

Looks great to me Chase! I think you've hit on the key points and benefits of the CRISP for Kids program while minimizing any fluff. The only thing I can think of is giveaways, but that probably isn't good for this type of article.

Also, do you think you can come up with an executive brief for this?

I can do that. Smiley

Perhaps everyone can comment on which of the statements in the article have the biggest impact and should be included in an executive brief.  There are a couple of sentences that will appeal to the executive as a parent or grandparent, but are probably too "frilly" for the shortened and to-the-point brief.

Chase I wish I have more time to help out. The followings would be some of the key points I would focus on in writing an Executive Summary:

CRISP for kids was created to help the world's children and grandchildren develop strong saving habits early, in order to help secure their financial future.
allows for the easy participation of family and friends taking full advantage of DNotesVault for easy set-up and 100% guarantee.

are unstructured and self directed plans, using DNotes as the investment vehicle.  Re-occurring savings, in a any amount, may be added at any time.

the parents, grandparents, aunts, and uncles from around the world are genuinely concerned about the financial well being of the children in their families

Children are great candidates  long term investment horizon and the early stage of the digital currency industry allows for significant capital appreciation

Wtf Cryptsy?

Market caps & (Volume):

CON: $27,000 ($290) - Added (Not on voting list)
SPRTS:  $6,300 ($80) - Added (Not on voting list)
AXIOM: $26,000 ($3000) - Added (Not on voting list)
CIRC: $187,000 ($22,000) - Added (Not on voting list)
NEOS: $23,000 ($150) - Added (41st on voting list)

NOTE: $1,240,000 ($550) - Not Added (1st on voting list).

No sense.

Good morning, Mochilles. I understand your frustration. Our community came together and made a big effort, in good faith, based on their published voting system. As a community we invested a great amount of time and resources and gained the 1st place on their list.  I like to trust that they respect our dedicated efforts and contributions of money by way of Bitcoin and Cryptsy Points. At this point, it is best not to rush to judgment and give them till the end of the month. Hopefully, DNotes would have been listed on Cryptsy by then or we would have been given the good courtesy of an explanation why DNotes deserves less than the coins you listed above.

A new crypto index is currently in development. I suggest going here:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1151078.0

and reading up on the project then, vote for DNotes (NOTE) to be included. I suggested they add NOTE to the voting and they have done so.

Get out and vote!   Cheesy

voted  Wink

Same here. We're tied for 27th place with 4 votes, it should be easy to break the top 20 if everyone votes.

RJF, thanks for getting us on the voting list. I just voted and urge you all to do the same. Despite all that hard work and PR campaign DNotes has a long way to go in our awareness campaign. Many people, even within our industry, may not heard of DNotes yet. Any exposure we can get for DNotes will be of value. Thanks.

This should give our readers a good idea what DECBrief is all about. I am personally delighted that this represents a strong demonstration of DNotes' leadership and commitment to our industry. It is not just about DNotes but the preservation and our commitment to the true spirit in promoting a decentralized global digital currency for everyone. This will take a lot of heavy lifting and we can use a lot of support from our industry peers.

Purpose and Mission of
Digital Currency Executive Brief

The dynamics of the world we live in are rapidly changing and at an increasingly faster pace. We are already living in the digital age, from a humble beginning when personal computers were first introduced in the late 1970s evolving into mobile computing and wireless communication in the late 1980s.

The Internet, E-commerce, smart phones, online banking, Crowdfunding, digital currency, social media and more, are the direct result of the convergence of technologies including seamless wireless communication and powerful computing capabilities at our finger tips, all of which are available today.

We are now hyperconnected globally, with a projection of five billion people online by the year 2020. Some of the world’s biggest problems may very well be our biggest opportunities, in terms of job and wealth creation. One of the biggest problems is the lack of a global currency that is not at the mercy of the misfortune of individual nations, where innocent citizens can lose their life savings overnight. Like the rerun of a bad movie, we have seen it too many times. Unfortunately, as in the case of Greece, it got a lot worse each time it was replayed, with little hope for a long term solution.

There are clearly massive economic inequalities on a worldwide scale. The opportunity to facilitate global collaboration to assist the unbanked as a means to help alleviate poverty, as well as to encourage women business empowerment and more are now within our reach. The technologies are already at our disposal. What is missing is a truly global digital currency that is not owned by a single nation, or a united group of nations as in the case of the European Union.

Most people may not realize that we are witnessing the greatest technology revolution in the history of mankind as a result of the creation of Bitcoin in 2009. This immensely innovative decentralized distributed consensus technology enables one Internet user to pay another Internet user anywhere worldwide, instantly at near zero cost, without the oversight of any central authority or middleman. It is as convenient as paying cash at a local convenience store and the value of the payment is exactly the same any where worldwide.

This will have very positive world changing implications resulting in a quantum shift in the way we collaborate and conduct global commerce. Imagine the limitless possibilities to facilitate global economic equality.

There may not be a better opportunity for our political leaders, regulators, philanthropists, media executives, educators, business executives and others to pledge a small commitment of their precious time to stay objectively informed on issues that matter as they pertain to the utilization of digital currencies to promote global collaboration for economic equality.

DCEBrief is committed to focus on bringing to your attention on issues that matter utilizing “Executive Summary” without fluff and filler. When appropriate, we may also include full length articles. Our mission is to keep you informed with timely, objective, accurate, and unbiased information. We will need the cooperation of the mainstream media and the full support of our political leaders and regulators to help promote and not stifle innovation for the better good of mankind.
1685  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][NOTE]DNotes - DCEBrief Digital Currency Executive Brief Coming Soon! on: August 13, 2015, 12:27:11 PM
In this one, they are proposing using fiat wallets as a stepping stone to bitcoin. Allowing people to pay and receive in local fiat, but transacting in bitcoin. It's an interesting concept, which might make it easy for users to understand, but I'm not sure it is a good solution. Anyway, take a look, I would like to hear your thoughts.

Fiat Wallets: The Key to Bitcoin Going Mainstream?

Since bitcoin was introduced in 2009, we have seen endless efforts to make it mainstream.

These efforts have spanned the launches of the world’s ‘easiest bitcoin web wallet’, ‘easiest bitcoin mobile wallet’, ‘consumer multi-sig wallets’ and ‘easiest way to buy bitcoins’.

The user interface has improved by leaps and bounds. We as a community even spent more than a year debating ‘bits’ vs ‘bitcoin’ in an effort to make new bitcoin owners feel wealthier. Startups who act as custodians of customers' bitcoins began advertising "we are fully insured", "we have proof of reserves", "we have the world’s most secure vault" and "we are fully licensed".

What has been achieved so far?

One could argue that instead of mainstreaming bitcoin as a payment network, we’ve instead encouraged the speculation on bitcoin prices.

In the past couple of years, as volatility became an issue in light of a more than 70% drop in bitcoin prices, merchant services offered retailers the ability to accept fiat over the bitcoin network.

The way it works is that consumer bitcoins would be sent to the merchant processor, who then settles with the merchant in the desired fiat currency. However, the benchmarks of success for these services have included statistics on the percentage of revenues merchants keep as bitcoin.

It begs the question: Why does that even matter?

This spring, on the consumer side, services such as OKLink, Coinbase, and Circle have solved the volatility issue for consumers by adding or pre-announcing fiat wallets linked to the bitcoin network. CNY (OKLink) and USD (Coinbase and Circle). This will let users pay and receive in their local currency, while the transfer is made using bitcoins in the background and without any currency exchange risk.

Thus far, this is being offered as somewhat of a side feature. These services are maintaining the dual mode of allowing users the choice to use bitcoin as the front end (bitcoin wallet over the bitcoin network) or the back end (fiat wallet over the bitcoin network).

This is akin to a gas station offering you a core service of buying and storing oil, while giving you the optional side service of filling your car.

In no way am I disparaging bitcoin’s long term value and the promise it holds as the best money the world has ever seen. A different approach towards mainstreaming adoption of the network won’t weaken this function, and could in fact strengthen it.

[...]

http://www.coindesk.com/fiat-wallets-the-key-to-bitcoin-going-mainstream/

I really don't see this as an answer to mainstream adoption.  It may be of help to people already familiar with bitcoin or businesses wanting to try it, that didn't use it because of the volatility, but I still don't see the average consumer finding any benefit in this.  This doesn't get consumers do drop their preferred method of payment either - the almighty credit card.  I don't see that they have done anything for the ease of use (or the Why do I need this??)  that is so badly needed for mainstream adoption.

That is correct. In my opinion, it is a useless attempt and NOT making things easier, less confusing and more user-friendly. I have a first hand, real life experience in my efforts to do a lot more reading as I start to outline and write articles for DCEBrief. Honestly, there were days I got so confused and exhausted I did not write a single paragraph. There is a look of "smoke and mirror" when majority of the population have not even heard of Bitcoin.

Wow! There seem to be so many great ideas, supported with great graphics, good documentation and well publicized; with some supported by big names; the likes of IBM, Samsung, Citibank, Accenture and others. Accenture even suggested dropping Bitcoin the currency and just keep the block chain: "Accenture: Blockchain Has Great Potential, Currency Needs to Go" http://cointelegraph.com/news/115019/accenture-blockchain-has-great-potential-currency-needs-to-go.

This next phase will be even more confusing. My prediction is that the banks will prevail in coming up with their "centralized" version of Bitcoin and demonize the need for decentralized Bitcoin.

It is important for us to be very clear that Bitcoin and alternative digital currency like DNotes utilize the entire ingenious innovation of Satoshi Nakamoto and I absolutely believe that, promoted as a total package, it is the greatest technology revolution in the history of mankind and will be the most effective tool to improve economic inequalities on a worldwide scale. New Oxfam report says half of global wealth held by the 1% http://www.theguardian.com/business/2015/jan/19/global-wealth-oxfam-inequality-davos-economic-summit-switzerland   Unless there is a movement to slow down this trend, worldwide economic inequalities will get far worse.

DCEBrief will be the best opportunity unity our industry to help build a truly decentralized global digital currency so that every one can participate. With financial crises already causing great financial pain in many parts of the world making an alternative global currency available is a very good thing. We are all proud to be the community who tirelessly pursue this worthy mission.

Cryptsy added a bunch of new coins! None of them were in the Top 30 voting list however, while one has a daily volume of $180, and another of $90. So, y'know...  #logic

I have no words...

We have done our part. The ball is in their court. DNotes stakeholders and Cryptsy customers could politely write and make mention of their new additions and ask if DNotes is scheduled to be included in their next batch of new listings. We are not privileged to their process and selection criteria. Perhaps a little patience is in order for now.

This article is a little different spin on the DNotes Educational Guide press release, but very good:

DNotes Launches Cryptocurrency Educational Guide

With projects further down the line with similar goals of attracting all kinds of people to DNotes, DNotes is a strong contender when looking for long-term altcoin options.

“DNotes is a shared stake concept, placing a large percentage of the coins in the hands of many, increasing personal stake and personal interest in the coin in promoting the long-term value of the currency. A rapid acceptance by a very large number of individuals and groups generating the most liquidity and high transactional value is our goal.”

DNotesDNotes latest project takes a different spin than CRISP’s in that instead of focusing on a new outlet in which cryptocurrency and be used; it raises awareness of cryptocurrency for people who are unaware.

DNotes new project comes in the form of an educational guide. Aimed for people who have little to no technical background, DNotes goal is to level the playing field and remove the perception that digital currencies are only for the technically inclined.

“There have been very few times in history when everyday people have had the chance to take part in the early stages of such revolutionary developments. It is important to learn about this early so you can make informed decisions about investing in this space as well as giving you an edge in your career as more and more recruiters are seeking digital currency expertise.”

The guide has all sorts of tools such as a user-friendly interface, thorough how-to guides, helpful definitions, links to relevant information, a quiz to test yourself on your knowledge, and the guide is continually updated to remain current.

“The need to educate will never disappear, but if ignored, the knowledge gap between innovators and everyday people may grow so large, that it will never be bridged.”

http://moneyandtech.com/altcoin-platform-launches-educational-guide-cryptocurrency/

The tool is an excellent example of how the DNotes team is solving problems. When I say team, it is everybody who actively got involved to work towards a common goal, not just me and Alan. Whether that is contributing on the forum to help shape the future of DNotes, to those who have accepted official roles and responsibilities, and those who have taken the initiative to create tools and site to help. You are all part of our team and we sincerely appreciate your involvement.

I just looked at the latest version of the application again. One can quickly learn the best practices and help avoid the pain making mistakes when first getting involved in digital currency. It has a very sleek and intuitive design, which makes it easy and fun to use. I've said it before, but great job on the app!

I appreciate the positive feedback. I'm sure everyone involved with DNotes would agree that being able to work with such a talented core team is perhaps the greatest learning experience available.

If there are any suggestions for new features you would like to add, please email or message me. I'd like to include a frequently asked questions section with questions written by inexperienced DNotes community members, and answered by some of our seasoned pros. What does everyone think about this?

Excellent job, CryptoBroker79. You and your team have done a amazing job. DNotes is much more than another digital currency. CoinTelegraph characterized DNotes as the currency with a purpose. I thought that was pretty good. When I was drafting the "Purpose and Mission" statement for DCEBrief another idea crossed my mind; may be we are creating a grass root movement to help preserve some of the financial earnings of the working class. Fiat currency has served us well but also becoming an increasingly heavy burden for each subsequent generation. We are committed to make DNotes a worthy alternative for people who feel that it is appropriate to diversify a small percentage of their savings to include a high risk/high returns digital currency component, such as DNotes.

Since digital currency is a new asset class, it is of vital importance for people to have a comfortable understanding of this new concept. DNotes Educational Guide is our first endeavor to provide that knowledge and it will be followed by DCEBrief soon. Both projects are of significant commitments of time and other resources, but that is how DNotes will be differentiated.

Excellent post, TeeGee.

"DYNA is doing a great job repeating a very consistent message for old and new stakeholders alike; a global digital currency is necessary, and DNotes is that currency."

This is not just our theme. This is our core mission and a generational commitment.

I am still actively drafting and refining DCFBrief - Purpose and mission. Here is a sneak peek:

There are clearly massive economic inequalities on a worldwide scale. The opportunity to facilitate global collaboration to assist the unbanked as a means to help alleviate poverty, as well as to encourage women business empowerment and more are now within our reach. The technologies are already at our disposal …………………..

Most people may not realize that we are witnessing the greatest technology revolution in the history of mankind as a result of the creation of Bitcoin and the Blockchain in 2009. Imagine our world with a digital currency accepted by everyone worldwide. The value of the $1 or that 1 DNotes is exactly the same any where globally. Imagine the limitless possibilities …………………..

Interesting find on coindesk. Another quote contender for DCEBrief as well:
"As the industry continues to innovate, it’s important that regulators strike the right balance between encouraging responsible innovation and managing risk. Virtual currency, like bitcoin provides a good example."
Thomas Curry - Chief Officer OCC

More about the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency:
http://www.occ.gov/about/what-we-do/mission/index-about.html

US Bank Regulator Calls for Balanced Bitcoin Oversight

The head of the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) has called for a balanced approach to regulation governing financial technology development in the United States, citing bitcoin as one such example.

Months after calling digital currencies "potentially revolutionary", OCC Comptroller Thomas Curry highlighted bitcoin during a recent speech as he called for regulators to avoid crafting overly burdensome rules that could stifle otherwise productive work on financial technology.

He stated:

"As the industry continues to innovate, it’s important that regulators strike the right balance between encouraging responsible innovation and managing risk. Virtual currency, like bitcoin provides a good example."

Curry said the agency has put together a working group that will "develop a framework to evaluate new and innovative financial products and services".

"We have a team with representatives from across the agency – policy experts, examiners, lawyers, and others – considering this question," he said. "We’re still early in the process, so I can’t tell you exactly where we’ll end up."

Curry added one result could be the creation of an office dedicated to financial innovation.

Moving away from the banking sector

Notably, Curry acknowledged during his speech that financial technology is largely being developed outside regulated entities like banks.

Excellent find, Joe. This tops my best news of the week. Being in the 1st place on Cryptsy Vote list is a close 2nd until we received a favorable response from them.

The article below is what I was talking about when I suggested a possible DCEBrief story "Blockchain without Bitcoin. Can you or can't you?  Pros?  Cons? - There have been a lot of headlines on various companies, banks, etc stating that they are interested in the blockchain, but not bitcoin.  The bitcoin community replies 'you can't have one without the other'.  I think this could use a little clarity (with a positive spin)."

It cleared up some confusion for me! Grin

Vitalik Buterin: On Public and Private Blockchains  -  http://www.coindesk.com/vitalik-buterin-on-public-and-private-blockchains/

There may not be an easy way to clear up all the confusion. Once people start creating a hybrid of the original there is no telling how many different versions there could be and how well they will end up.

For now its is best to assume that others are focusing in exploiting the blockchain technology without the digital currency component. Some are creating their own tokens as part of their internal reward for third party participation. Technically, it will work whether it is centralized or semi-centralized. As long as they are not centralized as a bank and create their own digital currency, it should not be a concern to DNotes stakeholder. Even if they try to create their currency, it will become worthless.

DCEBrief will be covering a lot of these issues. The value of DNotes is our commitment to build it a the trusted global digital currency in the true spirit decentralized ledger based on the consensus and self policing technologies Satoshi Nakamoto has created.
1691  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][NOTE]DNotes - DCEBrief Digital Currency Executive Brief Coming Soon! on: August 10, 2015, 11:21:38 AM

The hesitation of the majority to deal with digital currency is totaly understandable. this is the normal behavior of the majority. in any revolution, the pioneers come first, while the majority is hesitating, and only after a breakthrough - a great mass of people join the new trip. but their step is only the last step, it is never the first one. these people wouldn't invent any change in our life. if the world would be depended on their leadership, there is no doubt  that smartphones, internet, social pages, digital coins ect', wouldn't ever happend in reality - if these majority would have the chance to lead the world.
now, a real change is when the difference between the old and the new is sharp and clear - as almost a picture. I don't think that any of pioneers would bother themselves to invent something that is only improving the old item. and even if they would, the improvement of such thing would never reach so deep surprise as the appearance of bitcoin has recieved. only something that is shine because it's so innovative and so different in thought from the old ---can get so many exclamations.
the insight behind the DC is that money is nothing, there isn't any real value in money apart of the social consensus and consent to give it value. this sentence can raise many fears among the majority because it can break their life. but once they accept this, they will be prepared to accept the digital currency, with it's new rules and institutions

Hello Kanus, My view regarding the relations between the national currencies and the digital currencies is not as yours. I think that the digital currencies -and sure the first one-the bitcoin - deliverd with no central bank, no interest, no additional printing, no culture, no borders and so on. this way of delivery expresses clearly an opposition or alternative - at least in mind - to the old national currencies. sure that this is only expression of mind, because the new money can't replace the old one yet: the 2 main currencies have together 110 million coins which is less than USA spend (guess) for annually office supplies. my view is that when the time comes to arrange the field of digital currencies in institutional means (my offer for this aim was the creation of EGE - global monetary DG association) - than the mind expression will be shown as a reality to be placed along the coming decades

Here are some more dcebrief concepts, there is some overlap with previous ideas.

Digital currency is not anti-government, nor is it anarchist by nature. In fact, by design it is very well aligned with the principles of the United States founding fathers and I would venture to say the majority of the today's world population. "The highest level of prosperity occurs when there is a free-market economy and a minimum of government regulations."  - Quoted from the 28 Fundamental Principles of the Founding Fathers

Digital currency has a predetermined issuance rate that is easy to understand and 100% transparent. Unlike issuance of fiat currency, the process is often convoluted and highly manipulated, and you practically need a degree in economics to tie everything together and truly understand what is going on (smoke and shadows).

As we progress as a civilization, our economic future should be getting better, but it is getting worse. I won't say digital currency is the answer to everything, but it can level the playing field a bit.

Expanding on the idea of what digital currency is backed by from my point of view... Digital currency is backed by computational power, electricity, and time (through a predetermined issuance rate using a regulatory algorithm).

Hi Mati, i respect the challenge. Governments job is to govern, regulate, protect, create laws and enforce them. Government issued, or arguably government regulated, currency came about out of necessity, because money issuance couldn't regulate itself. Now it can, making it only necessary for government to find ways to protect people against other people instead of controlling money. In that view, you can be pro digital currency and also pro government and regulation. I think some people's hesitation towards digital currency is that it makes you anti-government or anarchist, and I was trying to address that by demonstrating you don't have to be anti-government to be pro digital currency.

Government protecting its nations economy is another story. Does it need to in a world where digital currency is globally accepted and fiat is not needed? If so, how would that be accomplished?

The process of change involving an individual, group, state, nation, or the world for this matter takes time. There is always “hesitation of the majority” at the early stage, as you correctly pointed out. Mati.

In the case of Digital Currency, it started with the creator, Satoshi Nakamoto in 2009 with the support of a few close to him who found his concept of distributed consensus ledger to create e-cash interesting and of some value. We are still at the early adoption stage. DNotes is committed to help shape the currency side of this amazing technology revolution we believe will provide viable solutions in confronting various global challenges we are facing today. There is massive economic inequality on a worldwide scale. A truly trusted global digital with mass acceptance is the best tool available and will go a long way in providing better social economic inclusion and opportunities for all. DCEBrief will help bring forth clarity on issues that matter

Have we started our 'Notes' Grin for the article on including a small percentage of a higher risk digital currency such as DNotes in a balanced investment portfolio?

I found a few posts from CryptoMoms that might help:

1. "In order to accumulate the huge sum of money needed to fund a retirement, it is recommended that everyone has 5 - 10% of their portfolio in alternative investments.  These types of investments, while riskier, typically yield a much higher rate of return.  Alternative investments can include such things as real estate, gold, silver, and other commodities as well as more sophisticated investments like hedge funds.  The latest investment to be added to this list is cryptocurrency, and starting even a small CRISP (Cryptocurrency Investment Savings Plan) now has the potential to partially or completely fund your retirement." (CryptoMoms - Retirement, Long Term Investing)

2.  According to Scotiabank, Canada's 3rd largest  bank:

"Avoiding risk can be dangerous for long-term investors. Conservative investments do offer temporary relief of market volatility, but this approach could stunt performance or delay plans/goals. With longer timelines, the market will help balance things out so you may want to take on more risk." (CryptoMoms - Long Term Investing)

3.  This was from the article "Bitcoin for a Booming Retirement" http://bitcoinwarrior.net/2014/08/bitcoin-booming-retirement/ published August 2014.  A lot has
changed in the past year and with the CRISP for Retirement, DNotes has earned top spot in the digital currency portion of retirement portfolios.

"The fact of the matter is that success is often enough not about hard work, or even ingenuity; frequently enough, it’s simply recognizing a good thing and taking hold."

"Right now, that good thing is Bitcoin. If every soon-to-be retiree, every single mother, every down-on-his luck employee scraped together a few hundred dollars and bought a fraction of a Bitcoin, they would be investing in their future far better than starting a business or going back to college. They would be investing in a better future not only for themselves, but a future where more people benefit from the wealth of the nation equitably, a future where people don’t have to worry about what the government or the banks are doing with their money since they control it themselves, or they can find out, a future where their savings will grow in value just because they save."  (CryptoMoms - Retirement)

4. "Financial Planning Association: Bitcoin Can Boost Portfolio Returns"   http://www.coindesk.com/financial-planning-association-boost-portfolio/

"An industry group representing certified financial planners has found that bitcoin can be a beneficial addition to investor portfolios.  In the new report, the Financial Planning Association (FPA) asserted that for many investors, bitcoin represents a potential opportunity that could both diversify and boost the efficiency of a portfolio."  (CryptoMoms - Bitcoin News)

Panterra Capital CEO Dan Morehead:

Even as the price of bitcoin has skyrocketed to around $1,200 a couple of years ago then down to $230 these days, Panterra Capital CEO Dan Morehead views bitcoin as a “buy and hold” investment. He has closed the firm’s macro investment funds and opened a bitcoin-only fund back in 2013.

The value of bitcoin, if successful, is much greater than the downside risk,” said Morehead.

He likened the development of digital currencies to the internet, which took a while to gain traction and benefit from improved infrastructure. “The Internet at that time had all of the protocols it needed to be really cool, but you couldn’t do anything because you had a modem screaming at 2,400 bits per second,” Morehead explained. “The Internet really sucked. Bitcoin is kind of like that right now. It has all the need attributes but just not all of the applications to make it useful.”  http://www.newsbtc.com/2015/07/21/hedge-fund-ceo-rates-bitcoin-as-buy-and-hold-investment/

Thanks, Chase. That is very helpful. We will plan on having at least one article on this subject: "Boosting Returns with Digital Currency To Maintain a Balanced Investment Portfolio." Proposed Headline, subject to change.

The last couple of weeks have been quite challenging for me with some uncertainties at Allcoin and supporting getting out the votes out at Cryptsy. I will be gone a good part of tomorrow attending the monthly Chicago Bitcoin Meet-up. Hopefully, I can get some assignments out before I my weekend trip to the farm. I am committed to launching DCEBrief before the end of this month. We will need a lot of help from our community.

Cryptsy Vote Update:

DNotes is still in the 1st place with  45,200 votes.

I have just sent the following email to Paul Vernon:

Thank you all for your dedicated and strong support. Let's hope for the best.

Thanks,

Alan

To: Paul Vernon,

Hello Paul,

I trust that you are aware that the DNotes' community had expressed a strong interest to get DNotes listed on Cryptsy exchange. They have acted accordingly with great efforts, placing DNotes in the first position of your voting list at this time.

As you may know by now, DNotes is totally committed to the long term best interest of all of our stakeholders and our industry. It is more than just another digital currency. DNotes is built with trust and integrity with a strong community to help address many issues hindering our industry from mass acceptance of digital currency worldwide.

Those issues include wide gender gap, lack of trust factors and much needed education among others.  We are also the only one offering a whole family of cryptocurrency investment savings plans (CRISPs) making it convenient for every one worldwide to participate. To accomplish all that and more we have created and funded our own ecosystem.

I hope you will favorably consider listing DNotes on Cryptsy exchange soon. Please let us know promptly if there is more that we need to do as a community.

Thank you for your kind consideration and looking forward to your reply.

Sincerely,

Alan Yong

Cryptsy votes up to 34355 at the time of this post, DNotes remains in position #2 with the top position at 42545. As Alan mentioned we may not need to compete with the top position, but it could only help our case if we make it to #1.

Also, as a reminder, tomorrow is the deadline for New York's bitlicense. For New York residents, be sure to check your exchange's balance and if they are licensed. Poloniex will no longer be serving New York residents.

Great press release, CryptoBroker79.  “There is an overwhelming amount of fragmented knowledge out there, and we wanted to make this simple enough that people from all walks of life and from anywhere in the world, can learn about it at their own pace.”

Bitcoin and Digital Currency like DNotes can be intimidating and even scary to anyone who has not heard much about it. Yet it is not because there is not enough published inform available but “an overwhelming of fragmented information” everywhere including a great amount of inaccurate reporting and aggressive headlines.

Knowledge vacuum is another challenge our industry has to overcome if mass acceptance of digital currency were to be expected any time soon. DNotes is committed to help overcome this hurdle. In addition to Digital Currency Educational Guide we will soon be launching DCEBrief for busy political leaders, regulators, media executives, educators, business executives and others by focusing on issues that matter with “Executive Summary” supported by full length articles.

Saturday Morning Food for Thought

'Total Data Security Approach'

Talked to a cryptography enthusiast the other day about 'ordinary cryptography' -- normal Internet security, etc., not including crypto currencies.

Been thinking for ages that we could be taking an approach whereby we assume that the use of one or more cryptos is integral to the general security of ordinary people. Think about it, having anti-virus on your computer, for example, is an 'overlap point.' You gotta have it for general security; ya gotta have it as part of the security of your crypto wallets.

Saleable product!

IMZ Mark

Mark, I like that "Total Data Security Approach", but don't expect that any time soon. Just doing something about it is not good enough. We want to be very systematic and strategic about it. Within a couple of years, DNotes will have the advantage of scale and coverage. There is also a great advantage to own the most important parts of our ecosystem. I can see how the whole thing can be incorporated as a total package. Thanks for sharing another great idea.

inspiring. the way that you and the team of DNOTES find and show the path inspires me. I love systematic way of thinking, which is describe very well the individuals in this team

On a normal day I received 50 DNotes related emails from around the world. With few exceptions, I response to every single one; most of them are just copy and paste, of course, but some are more personalized. I do not like auto response. Reading every single email is demanding but it gives me a very good feel of how DNotes and our related projects are being received.

Perhaps over 10% of my replies are individually responded to, including some from high level executives and others that relate to our long term plan.  The following email is an example of that and worth sharing: For privacy the name has been changed.

Hello Alan,

I hope you are trying to enjoy your summer and keeping cool. I just downloaded your Dnotes Education guide real great and user friendly. One thing that sparked my attention is the retirement plan that you added. Could the same concept of Insurance be added to it?

I mean it is a thought considering Fintech insurance is trying to get out.

Let me know what you think.

Hello Jane,

Very good to hear from you. I am doing well and have always enjoyed the summer since I love gardening. Hope you are doing well too.

DNotes is much more than another digital currency. We are always very proactive in identifying industry problems and challenges and provide solutions where we can. Educating consumers globally is one of them; hence the DNotes Educational Guide you just downloaded. We will be launching DCEbrief later this month. There is a serious knowledge vacuum in our industry, even among high level executives who are currently participants in our industry. DCEBrief focuses on providing "Executive Summary" on issues that matter, with full length articles. All indications are that it will be very well received.

I am glad that you had a chance to visit DNotesVault and took notice of CRISP For Retirement. All of our CRISP programs are still in pilot phase positioned for full scale roll-out at the most opportune time. The biggest holdback is regulatory constraint which otherwise would allow anyone worldwide to acquire DNotes with their local currency and instantly send the DNotes to their CRISP account at DNotesVault. However, I am confident that such convenience will become a reality in a number of countries in the near future. Imagine shopping in Spain at a "participating" convenient store and be able to tell the checkout person, " Make it $100 euros and send the change to my DNotes savings" One tap on your smart phone to bring up a selection of DNotes addresses and tap on the one you wanted the change to be sent to. Done.

"One thing that sparked my attention is the retirement plan that you added. Could the same concept of Insurance be added to it?"

And finally to answer your question. The answer is 'yes' if you can wait. Within 3 to 5 years DNotes ecosystem will include a registered and licensed exchange, banks, partner banks among others offering a full suite of financial services. Pilot on CRISP for Insurance could start as early as next year. Initial test will offer a whole life policy with a "Term Rider" and a universal life policy with different flavors.

In the mean time, CRISP For Employee Incentive Benefits is actually designed to engage Insurance Agencies and Insurance Sales Persons early so that they get to know DNotes and become DNotes stakeholders. For those who are not familiar with insurance sales, it is helpful to know that this industry spends billions on cash incentive often payout daily or weekly to reward producers who are typically dependent on 100% commission.

I hope this answered your question.

All my best to you,

Alan

Mati said, "Inspiring. the way that you and the team of DNOTES find and show the path inspires me. I love systematic way of thinking, which is described very well by the individuals in this team."

I have been involved in fairly large projects before but nothing like what we are doing at DNotes and the building of our own ecosystem. Nothing that I have ever done could come close to the scope and potential of what DNotes could be in terms of long-term growth based on the path that we have crafted. Yet, that is not what inspired me and our communities. It is the challenge of doing the right things with trust and integrity, and if successfully delivered, could positively impact so many global challenges confronting the human race today.

Though it is easy and convenient to point out specific problems and link them to our world leaders, down to local leadership, a more objective conclusion could be the recognition that they are the result of accumulative temptation to over promise and over spend over multiple terms. This has led many nations to spend way beyond their means resulting in penalizing the working class who worked hard in good faith yet ended up losing all or most of their live savings. We are committed and passionate in building DNotes, not as a replacement of fiat currency, but as an alternative store of value to supplement their life savings. I personally believe that it is a prudent choice after seeing great financial hardship around the world today.

I am currently focusing my attention on DCEBrief and may not have as much time to post over the next few days. Thank you all for your great efforts in getting out the votes to get DNotes listed on Cryptsy. Keep the votes coming and don't forget to join the write-in campaign.

Quite clever re: the Financial Planner thing.

If DNotes plans to bring these fund managers into the fray, then we need to make them aware of DNotes long before they make their first investment. I imagine that most financial planners do not plan to include DNotes or any other crypto in their portfolios just as they learn about it. For a CFP, Simply looking at DNotes 18 month chart in hindsight probably won't be enough. A CFP will need to watch DNotes continue to be stable / rise over a period of say 6 months, by which time they will feel safer about making an initial small investment. That six month watchful eye, will allow CFP's time to learn about digital currency and DNotes. It also means that if our industry begins to turn more heads in the coming 6 months to a year in their normal news sources, they will think of DNotes straight away. There could be many ten's or hundreds of financial planners watching or being made aware of DNotes today, who may check back again in 6 months and say "If I had invested then, would have made a great return, maybe I'll give a small initial $10k to it, and see what happens over the next month or two...".

The goal is not to make people invest in DNotes now, but to make the money men aware that DNotes exists. When they remember to check back on DNotes, they will remember their conversation with Alan (DYNA), see that DNotes has been achieving what Alan said they would. This will hopefully both excite the CFP's, and create the trust that is required to convince them to invest.

Sew the seed, plan ahead.

"The goal is not to make people invest in DNotes now, but to make the money men aware that DNotes exists." That sounds so simple, but it is only a small part of a rather complex equation. DNotes the currency and our growing ecosystems comprise of many highly scaleable strategic building blocks positioned for deployment at the most opportune time.

We project far into the future to determine what are the problems and opportunities. At times we are solving problems to create our own opportunities. We are thought leaders committed to shape and lead our industry to the best interest and mutual benefits of everyone and we are very passionate about.
