1682  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Coinbase is scammers.. on: February 07, 2020, 07:45:57 PM
Don't be rush. You said you have sent 50 tickets, I guess more than couple of supoort tickets a day. Coinbase support take a lot of time to respond as you know it's one of the popular.
Using coinbase refers using bank. Minimizing the bank interfere or any 3rd party was the goal of BTC. There's no point of using that.
1683  Economy / Services / Re: [CFNP] blender.io Signature Campaign | Sr./Hero&Legendary Members | on: February 07, 2020, 06:10:21 PM
You don't have to apolozige, Hhampuz. Sometimes it happens aalthough it sucks  Cheesy
Looking for the betterment of the campaign and project as well. I will probably remove the signature tomorrow or the next day.
1684  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Actives Full Nodes of BTC, BCH & BSV on: February 05, 2020, 04:53:47 PM
the number of nodes has nothing to  do with hashrate (or number of miners). and my point was about the number of nodes. whether there are 10 nodes or a million node the transactions can't change without creating an invalid forked chain that will be rejected by everyone.
I was a bit misleading but I am not yet clear I guess in this issue. What's the exact benefit of having a lot of full nodes (not miners)? It's making the chain more decentralized, isn't it? Then how? Sorry if I have missed anything. I guess instead of "can not be altered a transaction" I can write "can not be overwritten"? Still it's same meaning.
1685  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: 💠 [ANN] SmartMixer.io | Crypto Mixer | Be Smart, Be Anonymous ❗❗✅ on: February 05, 2020, 03:47:33 PM
In confirmation of my words, I will provide a user with a good reputation in this forum a letter of guarantee. Only he must confirm that the letter is correct, and the connection between deposit and payment of 100%, do not publishing my addresses and other information.
I would like to verify your claims by checking your Letter of Guarantee.
Feel free to PM it to me, but know that this forum uses Cloudflare, which could be a honeypot.
I support LoyceV to confirm if the claim is right or wrong; he is trusted enough I guess, check his reputation. Smartmixer has a signature campaign running here, if the claim is true, lots of people may be deceived. Please continue cooperating with LoyceV and make sure what the truth is.

1687  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Some exchanges accepting Lightning Network on: February 04, 2020, 05:35:31 PM
Same even goes for already established sites like Bitfinex, unfortunately.
I had tried to reach them to know how frequent LN is being used or how much people talks about LN in their chat/support, they promised to share the data but no luck unfortunately. I didn't yet tried with any of the exchanges and yes, the service is yet to be established. In fact, a lot of people have no idea what LN is & how it works. On top of that, very few wallet supports LN. May be, with the update of Electrum, people will get more interested with that.

Either way, I got another addition for your list -- Bitstamp:
Updated, thanks.
1688  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin (BTC) Treasure Hunt Launches on Minecraft on: February 04, 2020, 01:50:02 PM
SatoshiQuest creator says the transactions are done on-chain and the game will reset after finding the loot.
Will this kill his idea? I don't know but; since Lightning Network is there, I guess it would be better for him if he had implement way to use Lightning Network. It would be very efficient and more attracting in my opinion. However, it's a big deal for the bitcoin community. Most of the people have very good idea about Minecraft.
1689  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Investing 1$ every day in bitcoin over the last five years on: February 04, 2020, 01:34:23 PM
Buying BTC for only $1 every day isn't a very smart choice as well, because of the transaction fees and the simple fact, that no BTC seller will sell you only $1 worth of BTC,because it looks pointless.
Well, that was not example. Not necessarily it have to be exact $1. In reality, he has shown how much effective it is to follow the DCA method. Instead of purchasing $1 per day, you could have purchased $30 per month since the last 5 years. Result would be more impressive of course. Some may argue that BTC price was lower back in the day. But if you take the ATH into consideration as entry point, here's what would happen if you would have purchased BTC for $30 per month.

1690  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Unbiased opinion about bitcoin wallet on: February 04, 2020, 01:15:31 PM
But seriously, how do you people end up finding these wallets. We have enough reputable wallets on the market already.
I don't know how OP got that crap wallet, I never have heard about it until now. However, when you google for "best bitcoin wallet", you will get recommendation as "Best Overall" for coinbase wallet (Image attached below). Couple of days ago, for the search term "bitcoin wallet", the first result was coinbase as well but things have changed, the first result is bitcoin.org; best place to get all together.
Many local sites most of the time recommend some crap wallets. May be OP was suggested by someone who have no idea how this things work.

1691  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Full Node Client vs Light Node Client on: February 03, 2020, 04:44:29 PM
BUMP.
A side note: The user "Velkro" above is promoting a method of generating Vanity Address which is very risky. You must not generate any address through that website.
If you are interested in generating Vanity Address, you may check this- https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1813624.0
1692  Other / Beginners & Help / Actives Full Nodes of BTC, BCH & BSV on: February 03, 2020, 04:12:53 PM
Well, I know there's no point of comparing this three. I just wanted to share the figures with the community so that they can learn more about full node and decentralization.

Number of active full nodes of BTC at the moment- 10945
Number of active full nodes of BCH at the moment- 1475
Number of active full nodes of BSV at the moment- 361

That means, BTC transactions can never be altered at all because of its significant number of nodes which have all the records in their nodes. BCH & BSV transactions are too can't be easily, but that's much easier in proportion of BTC.

As you can see here, out of the total active full nodes of these three coin, 86% is domintaed by BTC while the rest 14% are by the other two coins.
Hope you liked the figures.
1693  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Some exchanges accepting Lightning Network on: February 03, 2020, 02:26:22 PM
Most of these platforms are unknown, so it is best to avoid them, especially since many of Scam exchanges
Thanks, I would have added more but didn't because I was totally new to most of the services listed in the link.
From that list I only know bitfinex but it is still good to know there are others.
There are some more familiar swap sites as well; for instance- hodlhodl. I didn't add some of these because I have no much information like how much nodes are they connected to , how much channel are there etc. Have tried checking in explorer with hodlhodl and its alias but I wasn't able to find.
1694  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Proof of Work problem? on: February 02, 2020, 05:29:31 PM
May be I am a little off topic here-
The total number of full node on 4th November 2019 was 9379, which as of now has been increased to 11002; can't we take it as miners are increasing too? Well, you are correct that at some point we may see only a couple of pools will have most of the power which may later intend to collude the system if necessary. I don't know how much it's possible though.

1695  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Beginning my pay in bitcoin on: February 02, 2020, 05:14:57 PM
Sounds cool. I had never heard about this up until now.
Most of the times in last 2 years, I have been receiving my freelancing payments through Bitcoin, all the credit goes to my client who almost forced me to accept Bitcoin; otherwise, I would never bother much learning the amazing tech behind it.
I guess you have taken a great decision. That's where BTC enthusiast get the motivation.

I definitely don't see the point in this? Why automate it to where you get little choice of when you're actually making buys, I'd rather have the fiat to be be able to buy a dip or hold on buying a giant green candle we all know is about to drop.
Isn't it good to receive your salary with BTC? If everyone wants to receive fiat, how bitcoin global adoption will be increased? I guess these stuffs will work as influence for the future acceptance of BTC. Moreover, since OP will receive the payment through BTC in a specific time with a certain amount, he is going to follow the DCA method which is very much effective for long time holding.
1696  Economy / Service Discussion / Some exchanges accepting Lightning Network on: February 02, 2020, 04:19:14 PM
In this thread, I'm going to list some of the exchanges/swap sites which accept payments through Bitcoin Lightning Network. I will try to add a little information of the exchanges.
Before that, I would like to add two benefits of LN implementation in the exchanges. I would appreciate hearing some more from you (Of course benefits when using LN in exchanges; not in general)

Fee: You don't have to pay higher fee anymore. Basically, when we withdraw BTC from exchanges, a common fee of 0.0005 BTC (In some cases, it's lower and higher as well). Through LN, you don't have to pay such a big amount of fee anymore. You can easily send LN BTC from channel you have with the exchange and receive Main net BTC from a lot of swap sites which will cost you few times less than 0.0005 BTC.
Faster Transaction: It's common for LN, we know how faster LN can be. You don't require to wait minutes for the confirmation when deposit. You can do it instantly.

Bitstamp
Number of channels- 294 (At the moment of writing this.)
Nodes connected- 288
Capacity- 14.30128051 BTC / 873.27689107 BTC

OKEx
Number of channels- 200 (At the moment of writing this.)
Nodes connected- 191
Capacity- 2093269835 Satoshi

Bitfinex
Number of channels- 44 (At the moment of writing this.)
Nodes connected- 37
Capacity- 1328060580 Satoshi

SouthExchange
Number of channels- 148 (At the moment of writing this.)
Nodes connected- 136
Capacity- 513393348 Satoshi

These are the common exchanges I have found accepting LN payments.

Some swap sites which are very much necessary if you want to increase inbound capacity.

Zigzag
Number of channels- 26 (At the moment of writing this.)
Nodes connected- 25
Capacity- 75803243 Satoshi

Coinplaza
Number of channels- 41 (At the moment of writing this.)
Nodes connected- 41
Capacity- 124316916 Satoshi

FixedFloat
Number of channels- 27 (At the moment of writing this.)
Nodes connected- 26
Capacity- 74081174 Satoshi

There are a lot of swap sites which accept LN payments, can be found in LN directory- https://lightningnetworkstores.com/?sector=exchange
I have added only these which information I could find out from the LN explorer.
1697  Economy / Exchanges / Re: [ Coinmama ] is this a legitimate exchange where I can entrust my credit card? on: February 02, 2020, 03:29:59 PM
I have no idea about Crypto's regulation in Malaysia but from Singapore, you can use this service. However, as per their international laws-
Quote
Depending on your country of residence, you may not be able to use all the functions of the site. It is your responsibility to follow those rules and laws in your country of residence or in the country from which you access this site and service.
If Malaysia have no much regulation, you can buy/sell frequently. For me, it's not possible because I am from India and RBI has asked bank not to assist crypto transaction. Learn more info on Malaysia before doing a trade.
1698  Economy / Reputation / Re: Murat the worst campaign manager? on: February 01, 2020, 06:31:09 PM
He may or may not doing the job properly but this isn't a good approach at all I guess. He has been recruited by the project itself and they have given him the right to run the campaign as per his ways unless he is abusing the campaign with his alt. The things you pointed could have been done through PM as well. That would be a better solution.
1699  Other / Meta / Changes in merit policy on: January 31, 2020, 06:31:11 PM
I just have noticed a change in merit.
A staff has given merit to an user which isn't same as usual as mine or others. Does this mean merits from staff member carry more weight?
OmegaStarScream has given a merit to TryNinja and another user which has a star icon next to the merit amount.

1700  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to secure your asset in forkdelta? on: January 31, 2020, 06:00:45 PM
When you place an order, you are signing a message that allows you to transfer your coin out of your ‘wallet’ but only if you receive a specific amount of a specific other coin at the same time. The exchange does not ever have the ability to arbitrarily move your coin.
I guess we can call it a smart contract, can we? I have very little knowledge on this.
What if no one buys my coin at my desired price? Will my coin be forever stuck on the contract address? It’s possible that I can put a price which can be higher and no one willing to purchase at that price. When the contract will be ended in that case and the coin will be returned so that someone can ask for a lower price?
