Question to users in this thread: If we do future art contests what kind of changes would you like to see? The last few ones have been super close when winners are decided so I'm thinking that maybe if we lower the 1st/2nd prize a bit and add a 3rd/4th place prize too. I'll also run something by Roobet to see if free spins or free bets can be handed out to anyone who participates just a small thank you for joining. Happy to hear everyone's thoughts on this though!

I think lowering the 1st/2nd prize a bit and add a 3rd/4th place prize too is a good idea. Getting a prize, even if it is just a $10 freebet is better than getting nothing, so, more people will be happy from participating.

I also support adding AI category for future contests. AI is developing faster than many of us imagined, and it would be interesting to see what this thing is capable of in the contest thread.

It's something like this today

but I'm sure people can come up with much better images in the future. Can't wait for the new contests.
Thank you, Roobet and Hhampuz for running them!

I think that's a consequence of technological progress because there will always be a positive side and a negative side,
with this convenience I think we also need to be wise in using AI,
in universities it seems that now there are those who can detect AI so that it cannot be used arbitrarily to do assignments.

The positive side always outweighs the negative one. Maybe not right away, but in the long run it surely happens. AI will cancel many jobs, but it won't be the end of the world, we just have to be prepared. Right now we should be studying to be skilled in the new jobs that will appear in the near future because of the AI development.
1683  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: who Want To Bet On 2024 USA elections? on: April 17, 2023, 09:55:42 AM
To whom exactly is this "known", mate? Looks like some communist propaganda to me. Elections maybe still manipulated in some underdeveloped countries, but not in the countries of the level of the US.

Besides, we are talking about betting not on whether the elections will be manipulated or not, we are talking about betting on Rep and Dem nominees, and on who will be the next president.

American elections are conducted in a very opaque manner and they are susceptible for manipulation and rigging. There are provisions for postal voting, which are being misused by both the mainstream parties. At least when compared to the elections in European Union and Japan, those in the United States are conducted in a very unfair manner. A perfect example is the 2008 United States Senate election in Minnesota. Norm Coleman of the GOP was leading after all the votes were count. But Al Franken of the DFL was declared as the winner, claiming that tons of untallied ballots (all in favor of Franken) suddenly propped up everywhere.

We know about all those facts because the freedom of speech is on the high level in the US. We know about many bad things happening there because people can investigate and talk about it openly without fear to be punished. But let's not turn this thread into something that belongs to Politics and Society, shall we? Smiley Let's talk about betting on 2024 USA elections.
1684  Economy / Gambling / Re: Freebitco.in - FUN Token Investment Experiment on: April 17, 2023, 09:30:09 AM
~
if you look at the statistics of the 4 year cycle of course 2025 will be a bullish year where the price of bitcoin will increase also including the FUN token , I invest at the current price buy little by little and hold it in a freebitcoin account at the same time to become a premium membership get more WOF while investing for 1 or 2 years from now, I'm sure this will be an interesting investment

It is already interesting, same as may other things we are doing in life. Just don't invest more than you can afford to lose, and don't borrow money for making investment. There's no guarantee that FUN token will rise in price in the future, so we should be ready for the worst case scenario. But if we want to have fun with our spare money, it is our personal business and no one can stop us from hoping for the best.
It would be better if you intend to invest in clear and certain tokens like BTC or ETH and never invest long term in FUN tokens because there is a lot of risk of losing money.
FUN tokens are only suitable for trading in the short term to get gradual but consistent profits so that if you experience a decline we don't experience too big a loss.
Investing is profitable if you can properly invest in prospective tokens, but many investors are too greedy with profits so they invest in obscure tokens so that in the end they only get losses and lose some of their money.
Remember no one will suggest investing in FUN tokens.

There's always a risk of losing money, with any investment. If there was an asset that guaranteed you profit from investing in it, most people would stop working to earn money, they would just keep investing and gain profits all the time. If you have studied the project and realized that it has a good potential, you can take a risk and invest in it, even though most people think it's not worth it. In 2012 investing in BTC was considered stupid compared to investing in gold, but now we can see that it wasn't that stupid as it looked.
1685  Economy / Economics / Re: What is your biggest obstacle to achieving financial freedom ? on: April 17, 2023, 08:39:53 AM
Currently, the lack of support from people close to me is probably one of my obstacles to achieving financial freedom. Many people are not sure if I can do something to achieve this. Apart from that, there is a lack of access to find information about a field that I am passionate about, therefore I do not have the skills. enough to pursue my chosen field

If we already have good experience about plans to achieve financial freedom then leave people who don't support, don't just depend on people who support, life will always be difficult and often different from reality so self-motivation is the most important thing.

That's what I wanted to say, don't be dependent on others' support. If you feel lack of knowledge in the field that you are passionate about, use the internet to find the knowledge there. Although many courses require payment, there are free courses that can give you what you need. Just don't give up. Learn what you need. And you'll find a good job eventually and will be financially independent.

I won 5 through the Wheel of Fortune, and got one through my wagering. I knew the chance of winning the Lambo was minuscule, but I hoped anyway. Smiley It's interesting who of us here in this thread had the largest amount of tickets, and who won the Lambo? I remember the last draw the guy showed up here telling us he's the winner. Hope it happens this time too.

I wasn't the winner but I am still happy because I won some decent returns from the WoF spin.
I was so sure of not winning the Lambo that I didn't even check how many GT I had.
Is there any way to check how many GT I had in the previous round ?
Just checking if it was worth a shot that I missed.

Well, you never know. So far it looks like only people with thousands of Golden Tickets win, but we all know that just one ticket can be enough. In any lottery  only one thing is guaranteed: you will not win with zero tickets.

I don't know about you, guys, but I would love to read several words from the winner. I even googled "I won a Lambo", but I don't think this

is the right guy, to be honest. Smiley
1687  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Slots 101: Basics, Strategies, and Discussion (with poll) on: April 16, 2023, 12:04:02 PM
Regarding making higher bets, I disagree. Yes, you would win more in the case of hitting a high multiplier, but it would take just a few lost bets to reach the amount you could afford to lose. Too short to be fun.
yep, if I use a bigger bet amount maybe I can't get a big multiplier because my budget is too small maybe it will run out faster not until the free spins

It is not necessarily so. I mean, some gamblers claim that they win in demo mode and with smaller bets, but once they switch to higher bets they stop winning. I disagree with them. Nor do we need to make a certain amount of bets to hit a good multiplier. We can hit it right away from the very first spin. But normally if your budget for the day is $5-$6 it's not advisable to make $2 bets.

Cool!  Congratulations on the win.  This simply show that as long as we have spin left no matter how small our remaining bankroll is,  there is always a chance for redemption and bonus round triggers.  I seldom experience this kind of situation but if I did, I feel like jumping due to the joy and thought of the possibility of hitting huge.  Although your winnings is average, I bet you feel satisfied on hitting the bonus round plus retriggers.

Thank you! Yes, that's right, when your day is gray, you can colour it with some things, and good slots are definitely among them. For me, 15 minutes is enough to brighten up the moment, and then carry on with better spirit. It's not even necessary to win money for that, but it doesn't hurt, of course. Smiley
1689  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [POLL] Using AI to predict outcomes on: April 16, 2023, 10:37:45 AM
~ If you are already done with doing your part and you see that AI is giving you a same advantages, possible that you will proceed and take that call and place your bet.

I think AI can be more accurate in predicting the outcomes of sport events than we humans. It just needs to take into account all the data that is relevant, and ignore misleading ones. It should be prompted properly, and for that you need some knowledge about sports betting. But then it will be very helpful. More helpful then our own analysis. I'm pretty sure pf it, and can't wait to start using an AI connected to the internet for predictions.
1690  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: do you lose on slots? on: April 16, 2023, 09:48:34 AM
~
1. always set a budget for playing slots and stick to it. do not chase losses or try to win back what you have lost by playing more.

This is like the golden rule for playing not only slots, but for any kind of gambling, imo. All gamblers know that it's hard to follow it, but that's what we should do to not end up filled with regret.

2. if a slot machine does not hit in 7-10 spins, consider trying a different machine. this can help you avoid getting stuck on a losing streak and losing more money.

I'm not sure about this. For me it's 20-30 spins. And I don't switch to a different machine, I just quit for the day.

7. avoid getting "slot psychosis" where you get stuck on one machine for too long. remember that slots are based on random chance and there is no guaranteed way to win.

That's right, but there's no guaranteed way to lose either. If it's a reputable slot provider, and not some in-house slot on a shady site, you can win any time, either after a long losing streak, or after a big win.

Hopefully, they can visit the Gambling section more often to read information related to gambling and learn about many experiences from friends who have shared their experiences. It will be useful to them because at least they can get something out of this forum about playing gambling and the many things they must pay attention to. They have to be wise in choosing the information and what is useful for them to use.

Right, choosing where to get info is very important. What I like about this forum is that if a misleading info will appear many people will react immediately with their replies. If it's an aggressive promotion of a scam, negative trust given to the poster can save people from believing it. I mean, it won't be just downvoted and forgotten, it will get a reaction.
1693  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com - The Leading Crypto Casino - 🦉 Drake, UFC, Everton Main Partner ⚽ 🥊 on: April 15, 2023, 12:34:27 PM
I never learn.....

I have always said, NEVER play after Stake has paid out a monthly or a weekly, because the RTP are f#%%ed after they paid out bonuses. They do not wait to put Stake in feeding mode, it is done immediately after the payouts has been done.

So, today.. I claimed it and jumped into a Slot hunt and I paid back my full monthly back to Stake.  Angry  In any way...... I did 759 bets on one Slot and it did not give the Free Spins once...  Roll Eyes

Sorry for your loss, mate, but I think it was a coincidence. From what I know they are not watching you on the reputable gambling sites like Stake. You can win big one time, and then win big again right away. No one is turning on a "suction mode" after you win a big amount or get bonuses or something. And I'm talking about in-house games. Site has no control over games by third-party providers.
1694  Economy / Gambling / Re: What else should an established crypto casino add? on: April 15, 2023, 11:57:37 AM
I see the same casino games - dice, plinko, tower, limbo .......... Would you like to try adding a game like 2048 where you have to move squares.   Now that would be the newest thing in the gambling industry

This is a skill-based game, as far as I know, and probably that's why it is not implemented by existing gambling sites. I mean, there's a winning strategy for 2048 on wikiHow:

and surely the game providers would program their bots accordingly. But I don't know, maybe there's still a way to add this game in the same way as Video Poker was added. It will look like 2048, but will be completely luck-based.

^  That sht's scary bro.  Lol.  What's the sound like when you play?  I hope it's not something you don't wanna play alone in your room at midnight.  Cheesy  You know..  as a kid I used to play Diablo II.  And there are some parts of the game that made me turn on the lights and play on until day time because sleeping alone in my room at the time isn't an option anymore.

It is accompanied by some scary sounds, yes, but it's not scary as long as you are winning. Isn't it more scary to be losing again and again while hearing some jolly music? Smiley But, to be fair, I would play such a slot too, because what I'm looking for, when playing slots, is strong emotions. After getting them you feel relaxed and you can do your main job better.

I personally think that right now it is more appropriate for us gamblers to think about betting on the nominees, rather than on the next president. What do you guys think?
Wait what do you mean by this? Shouldn't we bet for a winner to win ourselves? Or are you talking about betting the order on who gets most votes and who comes for second and third? I haven't seen an option for that but i would be very much interested on that. Or have i completely missed your point? Could you elaborate more.

What I meant was that there are sites, sportsbet.io is one of them, accepting bets on the nominees:

Maybe somewhere we can bet on who comes for second and third, but I don't know such places. Those opportunities, imo, would also be attractive.
1698  Economy / Economics / Re: Without government job we can survive on: April 15, 2023, 09:55:28 AM
According to the information from Forbes.com Norway holds the highest percentage of government employees. This data is taken during the year 2015. Almost eight years passed and there might be small variation. Even in the highest level it is possible to see around 70% work force is on the private sector. This is more than enough to realise that people were able to move forward as well as survive without government jobs. When it comes to government job there is less risk of losing jobs which is why most people prefer government jobs.

Well, not most people, as we see from the chart in your post. Most people don't work directly for the government, and, like the OP here, they don't want to be dependent on the government's ability to provide them with job. They start businesses of their own and provide other people with job, and that's a great thing in my opinion. I just want to emphasize that that doesn't give us the right to say "We can do well without government". We can't, and I explained why in in this post of mine above.

How about we give away another Sportsbet.io merch bundle  Cool

The winner(s) of the Round 31 Yellow Cap will also win:
Choice of Arsenal or Southampton Shirt AND Sportsbet.io Hoodie + Hat combo

It is amazing to see that I still have one more chance to be able to win the black Arsenal jersey. My position in the Premier League pool this season isn't bad at all. But I couldn't win any yellow cap. I hope I can win my first yellow cap on this very special week.

By the way which one is the Arsenal jersey you liked the most?

If you mean the design, all them are great, in my opinion. But I want to talk about the quality. I won couple of them official football jerseys in the past Sportsbet.io promos,

and I use them for jogging and working out, and I gotta a tell you, it's something, guys. They are made from polyester, but it turns out there are different types of polyester. You can buy a regular polyester t-shirt for $5-$10, but these ones are a little bit more expensive. They go from $50 to $100 USD, but if you wear it you know where the money went.
