1701  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How many bitcoins do you have? on: October 23, 2017, 12:26:39 PM
Just seeing how many whales we have on the forums. I can't see who votes what, so no reason to hide Wink
I only have bitcoin amounting .03 btc right now. I am not a whale, I am just a shrimp in this industry. I know that there are many ways in accumulating btc and one of these is the signature campaigns and that is where I am accumulating mine. But if you will add all in all, all the bitcoin I received it is just .4 bitcoin. I am just a shrimp. Sad
1702  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Betting with microbits (Bits)? on: October 23, 2017, 04:02:22 AM
With BTC hitting over $6k US a pop, is it time sites start offering betting with microbits (μBTC)?

I like to bet on sports for fun, with most site minimum bets of 0.1mbtc (61cents) I can throw down a few dollars worth and still have fun watching the game.
Ok for the moment, but if the price of BTC keeps going up as forecast it will become a barrier to playing!
And casino, playing a 25 lines on the slots at $1.20 a spin is a bit much!

With microbits, the minimum bet is future proofed to say min bet 10μBTC or whatever.

Or am I completely wrong?! lol

If I am not mistaken microbitcoin(μBTC) is connected to bitcoin. I think that microbits times 1000 is the value of microbits to bitcoins. I noticed this one because I am receiving mBTC. In coins.ph we are receiving mBTC not bitcoin itself. But once the transaction of bitcoin is confirmed the bitcoin will take place. That was just my observation I don't know if it's true.
1703  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why and Who ALLOW the Bitcoin Hardfork? on: October 23, 2017, 02:52:10 AM
I have this question on my mind that keeps bugging me. Can you tell me WHY and HOW they allow the Bitcoin Hardforking if majority doesnt want to implement this?

Does it mean "ANYONE" has the RIGHT to create or hardfork Bitcoin. And every hardfork would result a sprout version of Bitcoin for example: "Bitcoin DOG" ,"Bitcoin Cat", "Bitcoin Whatever".

Seriously this is not good, if we could not stop it, in the future it would lead to the growing dozen or even hundreds variation of Bitcoin shit coins: Bitcoin dark, Bitcoin Unlimited, Bitcoin Cash, Bitcoin Gold, etc..

What do you think?
I believe that no one needs a permission in forking bitcoin or any other coins. Anybody can do it but as forking is concerned, they need to have the literacy in forking bitcoin. In here guys it is all about businesses. People in here are just business minded and they will do everything so that they will have money for themselves. And remember many forks have 0 value Wink
1704  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Buy altcoins or not? on: October 22, 2017, 10:05:00 AM
Should we invest in altcoins?and why?which is better altcoins or equity shares?
You should invest in altcoins. THAT IS A MUST if you wanted to earn a lot of profit right now. Because of the reason that we missed the bitcoin train that launched on 2009. And I think that it is possible possible for us to profit not that much as those people who invested on bitcoin a long time a go but I am sure that we can take profit from other promising altcoins.
1705  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Isn't Bitcoin 100% sure to dissapear in mid-term? on: October 22, 2017, 08:55:40 AM
Hello guys,

My understanding of crypto-currencies/Bitcoin is, I would say, intermediate. I need people to make me understand why my assumption that Bitcoin WILL disappear in mid-term and be replaced by another cryptocurrency/technology could be wrong.

Why am I making this assumption ?
If I am not mistaking, one of the main principle of the Bitcoin (and most crypto-currencies) is that you can't change how the technology / the blockchain / the crypto currency is made. Meaning that the Bitcoin that went out in 2009 is supposed to always be the same. (unless you make a Fork butt well, it seems like all forks will always be much smaller in Market Value than the original Bitcoin).

If technology stays the same forever, isn't it OBLIGATORY that another technology (and I mean by that, probably another cryptocurrency) will take the place of Bitcoin in the short/middle term ? Not sure if you know it, but if Bitcoin was a country, it would already be 71th in the world in electricity consumption ! Isn't the Bitcoin aim to be the world-decentralized money simply impossible due to the limitations of the technology?
It seems to me quite obvious that another crypto-money WAY less demanding in energy/electricity and also waayyyy faster with calculations should replace the Bitcoin in the future IF the Bitcoin technology isn't evolving.

English is my third language but I hope I am making sense.
I don't think so dude, bitcoin might stay in our world and it will not disappear. Bitcoin is just connected to the internet. And when the internet will die so as bitcoin. That would be the possible reason for the death of bitcoin not just it will just leave this world. Another way of dying is that when it will be delete by the maker, Satoshi Nakamoto.
1706  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Key points to consider before investing in ICO (share your experience) on: October 21, 2017, 05:07:00 AM
Based on my actual experience. These are the things you need to consider if you wanted to invest on a project and buy their coins in their ico:
1. First things first, know the whitepaper well. Their plans on their project and etc. It is all belong to the whitepaper and this is also a way in checking if they have a shitcoin.
2. See some reviews of the ICO.
3. See the meter on how many people invested on the project.
4. Check if they have an Ann thread here at this forum.
1707  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin is an asset or currency. on: October 21, 2017, 04:07:05 AM
I hear from many sources that btc is used for trading much more than it is for goods and services; doesn't that make it an asset ??
and is that necessarily a bad thing ?? and what can we do about it as a community ??
Well, it is both, bitcoin is an asset and at the same time it is a currency. If you are to look deeper on bitcoin it is a cryptocurrency. A cryptocurrency is a digital currency that works online. You are wrong, bitcoin is used also for goods and services here in this forum you can buy digital goods and such refer here in this board, https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=51.0. There you can see now that bitcoin can be used in almost every way.
1708  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTCUSD 6000 is new low, breached today on: October 20, 2017, 03:43:36 PM
I know right. This is a great opportunity in all traders around the world. We are close to the 10,000 usd mark or new ATH. Probably we are to reach that goal in no time. This is why bitcoin is love by many people. And right now many people that invested in bitcoin especially those people that invested a long long time ago, will rejoice. They are now richer than ever. Cheesy
1709  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Transaction FEES 0.00133153 BTC !!! on: October 20, 2017, 12:13:27 PM
Well, there are many exchanges that asks for a higher fees in transacting your funds onto your wallet it is sad that they wanted so much fund on your part but it is part of their service. The exchange that I use most is hitbtc and the only fee is 0.0004 btc. That is the flat fee and I think it is so humane on that fee versus the fee from your exchange Cheesy
1710  Economy / Speculation / Re: What is your prediction price of bitcoin end year 2017 and why? on: October 20, 2017, 04:31:12 AM
I can see bitcoin at 8000 usd in the end of this year. In fact I saw many predictions regarding the last price of bitcoin before 2018 starts. It is so fun visualizing what would be the price of bitcoin in the next month, year and so on. But next year I think that bitcoin might hit the 10000 usd ath. It is not impossible for it to attain that ath tho.
1711  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: New Era or just bubble ? on: October 19, 2017, 10:03:53 AM
Will crypto-currency change the Worl or it's just a new way of  robbery?
I am not certain but I think bitcoin together with the other cryptocurrency will change the world and might be a new way of robery. I believe on a saying that "If you want to change something, change something on its own way." Just like crypto. As it develop, new ways of robery is also developing. So secure your wallet or else it'll be all gone.
1712  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: WTF is Bitcoin? on: October 18, 2017, 12:33:25 PM
Will the bitcoin replace the Gold? If there is A war coming everyone will run to the Bitcoin instead of the gold?

Cheers

You should keep in mind that bitcoin is SO DIFFERENT than GOLD. Gold is a physical thing that you can give and exchange for a big amount. The real question in your opening post is that, bitcoin can defeat gold based on its price. Well it beaten gold last months ago. And I wouldn't wonder if it beats the gold so much more in the future.
1713  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2018 NBA Season on: October 18, 2017, 05:57:54 AM
I am not really sure who will win this time or who will be the victor as the champion. But the team I have my bias on right now is Los Angeles Lakers. They have now the most hyped and my most favorite player and rookie, Lonzo Ball. I love seeing him fly. I love seeing him shoot the ball, his unorthodox shot is so amazing. I'll go for Lakers this time Smiley.
1714  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: interest in bitcoin is increasing on: October 17, 2017, 03:19:49 PM
As per we can see the interest in bitcoin of people is increasing at a high rate...I believe it will be our future...but will the shoppingsites like flipkar, amazon be able to accept bitcoins?
may be in the next generation.......thanz fr reading
I really hope so that these kinds of markets or online markets will accept bitcoin as payment in buying their stocks. But I heard in some part of this forum that bitcoin payment is now accepted in paypal. And I think paypal is a good start tho. Having paypal accepting bitcoin as a mode of payment, I can see many platforms will follow it.
1715  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Coming Fork(s) Safety For BItcoins on: October 17, 2017, 02:29:45 PM
Just wondering, as I am reading a lot about Fork risks especially with bitcoin gold.

I have the private keys (the 12 words) safely stored.

What if I simply uninstall the wallet that has my BTC (it is Jaxx by the way) before the fork, then reinstall later and recover from the 12 keywords. Would that be ok or will be risk?

Would my BTC remain BTC or can accidentally be changed to BTG?

What safest wallet?

Your help highly appreciated.
Dude, you do not need to uninstall and reinstall the wallet for the sake of being safe. The fork is like this, you have money put it in your wallet and let a security check your wallet and double it. But without any keys or private key, that security guard can't customize your wallet. He can't control it. He cannot get the funds and etc.
1716  Other / Off-topic / Re: What's your way of spreading Bitcoin knowledge? on: October 17, 2017, 09:48:17 AM
My way in spreading bitcoin knowledge is to inform my learner in personal way. I will go to his house in order to teach him well. And I think sharing knowledge about bitcoin makes you more humane. And I really like helping people learning the new way of payment. Which is bitcoin. And also guys remember sharing is caring.
1717  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How did you first hear about bitcoin? on: October 17, 2017, 03:03:38 AM
I first heard bitcoin on deep web. There was this friend of mine told me about deep web and she told me about the currency on deepweb. She told me that the currency used in deep web is bitcoin and the price of 1 bitcoin at that time is just like the price of eth right now which is 300 USD. And from their I got curious at deep web first and I didn't thought pushing bitcoin. After a year I was told that a bitcoin is  now 2000 usd.
1718  Economy / Speculation / Re: Selling Bitcoin on: October 17, 2017, 01:47:33 AM
I'm a week into this whole bitcoin thing so be easy on me. I wonder why you would ever sell a BTC ... For example: you buy 100 dollars worth of BTC but the price drops drastically. Why would you sell it when its that low? You KNOW it's going to go up again. You could wait a month (for example), the price will be up again. Or am i totally wrong here?
First of, hi and welome to bitcoin and cryptocurrency! Cheesy. You are right, people are selling their bitcoin as of this moment even though everybody knew that it will go up and it will always go up Smiley. Well the main reason for people like me selling bitcoin as of this moment because I am taking profit of my trades. In short, I am a short term trader. I am only trading from a day to week.
1719  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will a fork of Bitcoin ever take over? on: October 16, 2017, 11:53:01 PM
Now that there are going to be 4 different forks of bitcoin...

Bitcoin
Bitcoin Gold
Bitcoin Cash
B2x

What do you guys think the chances of one of the forks or even a future fork taking over the main market capitalization.  Maybe after these upcoming forks it will only strengthen bitcoin.  I think all of these forks are just cash grabs profiting off of the hype of the real beast.

Thoughts?

What do you mean B2x? This is the first time I ever heard that coin. Is that coin would be a result of another fork? I only knew bitcoin gold. Bitcoin gold or BTG is the newly forked bitcoin this October. Particularly October 25. Well in forking bitcoins, the market cap is still the same as bitcoin that is why it has the capability in getting the attention of the crowd thus climbing the coinmarket top 10.
1720  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What about Bitcoin gold?? on: October 16, 2017, 07:26:05 AM
As we all know another fork is coming. What do you guys think will it be successful like Bitcoin cash or it will be a waste of time?
It will be like bitcoin cash. It will always be a success guys. But it is dependent to you if you wanted to participate. If you wanted to sell all your alts and make it into bitcoin and store it to make bitcoin cash. Then go. But I am telling you that it will be hard for you to do. Sometimes we can only take a small amount of profit from segwit. So your choice.
