Beside that, buying physical gold here is also very expensive as you pay at least a 10% premium over the gold that you buy.

So as you said gold is down around 30% since that time, it means that your investment in gold is now worth 40% less.

1) You need to find a better dealer. I pay 3% over spot for all my gold purchases (unless I pick up semi numi stuff)

http://www.hattongardenmetals.com/buy/cid0/all-stock

2) Gold has lost a hell of a lot less off its all time high compared to bitcoin

3) Gold is up 17% Y2D

4) You still pay over "spot" for bitcoin, the spread on localbitcoins for example is about 6%

5) Trying posting actual facts not made up crap.

1702  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTS] a lot of 1oz Minted Gold Bars (PAMP) on: April 21, 2016, 06:54:59 AM
The problem with Pamp's is there have been a few slightly different designs of lady fortuna and the packaging, only slight differences but it can make it difficult to spot the fakes V real bars.
1703  Economy / Economics / Re: Is the government manipulating gold and silver prices? on: April 20, 2016, 09:41:06 PM
How do they manipulate the supply? I hear what he is saying, but the miners will sell when they are ready and that is usually when the price is high or when they need to pay their expenses. This

is not a easy commodity to manipulate and if they are doing it ...they are damn smart. The reason why they would want to do this is sinister in the least... trying to protect the value of the dollar and

making gold as a commodity less attractive, seems to me as a bit trivial ...they have control over the supply of money already... printing it like toilet paper.  Roll Eyes

They have manipulated prices through paper leverage not physical supply.  Currently several hundred paper claims per oz of physical metal.
1704  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin or Gold? What would you pick? on: April 20, 2016, 06:03:24 PM
There is a hell of a lot going on with gold behind the scenes right now like the new china gold price fix, banks admitting fraudulent price fixing etc.

Well worth doing s little research as we could see significant price movements in the near future.

You think bitcoin price isnt manipulated?  The all time high was achieved by manipulation through bots, and I doubt very much this activity has suddenly stopped.

Well, well, well.  It seems that in the past month or so, Bitcoin's price has been more stable than gold.  I did not know that, but gold's price has been going up in 2016.

Nonetheless, a WSJ article via Facebook (of all places):

https://www.facebook.com/wsj/posts/10154235395168128

Gold is up 17% this year.

17% is much lower for those who are holding bitcoin, as when bitcoin comes to rise up then it goes much high even more than 50% if the luck stay with us.

Except 17% year to date is a real figure, where yours is a finger in the air guess the halving will deliver a good price increase.

Its just few bunch of people who are responsible to create a negative image of entire community, and because of those few people the reputation of entire religion is at stake.

Its more than just a few though.

How many in ISIS, boko haram, al qaeda, Islamic Revolutionary Guard, etc.

Then we have all the rapefugees rioting, raping and pilaging as they go.

Quote
"There are 1.2 billion Muslims in the world today. Of course not all of them are radicals. The majority of them are peaceful people. The radicals are estimated to be between 15-25% according to all intelligence services around the world.

"That leaves 75% of [Muslims being] peaceful people. But when you look at 15-25% of the world's Muslim population, you're looking at 180 million to 300 million people dedicated to the destruction of Western civilization. That is as big as the United States."

Quote
the FBI Terrorist list of 59 FBI defined terrorist organizations. Of these, 43 were muslim terrorists.

And if you think gold & silver are rigged, why be in the market?

Because it cant last forever and when the paper games stop the physical metal price will go parabolic, so I am buying gold while its on sale.

Also its generally accepted that the reason that bitcoin hit the all time high price was through price manipulation and bots, you think that manipulation has ended suddenly?
1710  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Belgium: Moslems Celebrated Brussels Attacks on: April 19, 2016, 04:46:06 PM
The so called "Belgian Muslims" feel no affinity towards the nation of Belgium. Their loyalty is towards their religion, and not towards the country of their citizenship. The Muslims in Western Europe want to displace the native inhabitants, and to live in a Muslim-majority super-nation (Eurabia). It might take 50 or even 100 years to achieve, but they know that ultimately, Eurabia will be a reality.

The problem is the native populations will move to another country and turn that in to a successful prosperous nation while eurabia will just become the same shit hole these muslims left, and the cycle repeats.

Hopefully this time around we will get the nice weather as a bonus lol

Stephen hawkings, a russian billionaire, and Mark Zukkenburg have teamed up to launch an extraterrestrial project. Thoughts and info?

why spend all those money when it is guaranteed that alien life will be discovered someday.

IF they are doing some actions to help the poor before doing this then its ok.

It's good as long as it wont be wasted, but i would be devastated if they wont prioritize their fellow human beings.

Cause there are many more things to discover in our own planet that space missions.

Judging by your username you a Christian,  so why dont the Vatican lead by example and liquidate some of their $15 billion dollar wealth and spend it on the poor instead of telling everyone else to do it.

1712  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Belgium: Moslems Celebrated Brussels Attacks on: April 19, 2016, 03:07:16 PM
They should have just shot them on site as traitors.
1713  Other / Politics & Society / Re: MUSLIMS ARE NOT TERRORISTS AND TERRORISTS ARE NOT MUSLIMS on: April 19, 2016, 10:16:16 AM
Totally agree. Terrorists have absolutely no religion at all, they have no relation with Islam or any other religion. All the religions in the world teach peace and harmony. None teach hate and terror.

1714  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin or Gold? What would you pick? on: April 18, 2016, 06:51:01 PM
I would go for the bitcoin because I think the gold is not as good as people say, the gold also has been go down in its worth.
Plus the bitcoin has a very good future so you could or do both or only pick the bitcoin in my opinion.

Bitcoin is better than gold. Gold is already scam-medium. The daily traded-gold volume is  not available for trade. Its all fraud. They sell and buy more gold than available on world-markets... Same like the fiat...

Isnt that all the more reason to buy some of the physical metal.

When the paper games collapse, which they will in time the actual value of the metal will go parabolic.

Dont forget the China starts their own gold fix tomorrow on the 19th April which will favor physical metals over paper prices.

I actually considered this, only cause the stupid deficit is only growing..

So even if I dont see the paper pop out my life time, I`m sure I`ll see another financial crisis at least so I can hedge some way to profit.

There has always been and will always be hunger etc.

The X prize drew a lot of private investment in to the space industry so why not the search for ET.

Personally I dont trust that NASA would reveal the truth of any findings.

A private mission probe to Mars or Europa with $100 million prize is far more likely to get to the truth.

When I say alien life - I mean bacteria and up, not little green men running around anal probing earthlings Smiley

Alien probing is the only thing a few of us look forward to when the aliens come to say hello.
If they are not cross breeding or eating us,what else does that leave for them to come swing by!

I heard they are still on their way to get Mark Karpeles as they had a shit load of bitcoin in MtGox.  The incomprehensible vastness of space is just slowing them down slightly.

Source of this info? it's a waste of money imho, we got a more challenging situation on earth (hunger, climate changes, and education) and yet that big sum of money used for something that's not sure Undecided

I would pick bitcoin because i can easily obtain bitcoin and invest in the internet while in gold i have to go find some legit seller of gold where its hard because they only sell a large amount of it.

Ever tried one of the hundreds of online bullion dealers where you can buy from 1g up  Roll Eyes

e.g.
