1167  Economy / Economics / Re: Why the big whales are not cashing out? on: December 08, 2016, 04:01:31 PM
Printing a lot of money would make the value or rate of the money itself decreasing and will happen fluctuation. Fiat is now working on demand - supply, so if the supplies were just too much, the value would be decreased. Making money is not that easy, and that's why the country would prefer to take a loan from another country and not to print the money themselves

Heard of quantative easing?

They have printed alot more than $12b, global QE currently at around $12.3 trillion and counting

I appreciate a good mechanical watch.

You can keep your quartz.

1172  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: IOTA :: Buying / Selling on: December 04, 2016, 10:17:01 PM
And still question: as I understand, the network for the present doesn't work in full. How the transaction is made? If I want to buy, I will have to send the BTC to the eskrou-agent and when and how I will receive the IOTA?

Network is fine + a new gui has just been released.

Same process as always, btc to escrow then seller can transfer IOTA directly to your wallet.
1173  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Precious metals are not useful in a collapse scenario! on: December 04, 2016, 05:57:16 PM
And it seem both of you imbeciles forgot that the main point of this thread is not whether you can bury your gold in the ground (I never denied that), but whether you can spend your gold for anything in a collapse scenario.

iamnotback you have a serious attiute problem.

3226 posts in 5 months, perhaps if you spent more time in the real world then you could put your superior financial knowledge in to practise and become rich.
1174  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Referendum in Italy Which could lead them to leave the EU on: December 04, 2016, 04:59:50 PM
Every country is leaving EU but my country wants to get in.
mkd

Serbia knows your pain. Most of the people here do not want to join EU (it will probably fall apart before we enter) but Overlord Aleksandar Vucic says we're going to anyways. Also, EU asks of us to recognize Kosovo as a country but that's one thing that people will never do here, so we're kind of in a stalemate.

The problem is all the countries that want join only want to do so for free money and free movement of people.

All the countries that want to leave are sick of funding all the other countries and getting over run with immigrants.

What do you think will happen after the UK has left followed by France, Italy and the Netherlands, a bit of budget problem there  Roll Eyes

India has not banned gold, there are rumours at this point and nothing more.

Shit just got real. Citizens homes will be searched and 85% of wealth will be confiscated.

What they are going door to door looking for gold in a population of 1.3 billion people after giving advance notice they are coming, good luck with that  Grin Grin Grin Grin
1176  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: {WTS} Bitcoins for Skrill, Nettler, Perfectmoney, Paypal, Payoneer on: December 03, 2016, 12:10:59 PM
Are you in the market for buying btc as well?
Would you do the same rates as the ones that you are selling for?

Why would anyone do that as you are working for no profit?
1177  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Europe wants to ban blockchain technology? on: November 29, 2016, 08:37:56 PM
I have always said when the (central)banks are ready to launch their own crypto currencies bitcoin would be banned.

Bitcoin was just the alpha build and we are just the stress testers.
1178  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Precious metals are not useful in a collapse scenario! on: November 29, 2016, 05:17:09 PM
Could you care to explain how you drew such a profound conclusion on my understanding of money from the remark I made on not wanting to buy too much real estate?

When you eat much much icecream you got stomachache, or if you drink much much beer, you get drunk
same with assets, if you own MUCH MUCH assets of one type (much buildings for egsample) you CAN have some problems

the trick is own different assets
- 30% real estate
- 30% gold bars
- 10% silver bars
- 20% bitcoins
etc

different assets win because you become resilient

if building price FALL DOWN, you lost only 30%  -- this property is called resilience

edit: this is my humble opinion

So what budget is the above based on because real estate is not cheap in the UK.

A cheap house in the UK is £100k

So by your figures:

£100k rental property
£100k gold
£33k silver bars
£66k bitcoin

Total investment requirement = £299k
1179  Other / Politics & Society / Re: 100% water-powered car on: November 28, 2016, 06:17:29 PM
Basically it comes down to

Charge a load of batteries to provide electricity to convert water into hydrogen & oxygen.  Hydrogen is then used as fuel for the car.

Question is why not just use the electricity to power electric motors from the start and skip the whole water conversion process altogether.

Another scam.

1180  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin or gold? on: November 27, 2016, 06:31:13 PM
In fact, gold prices have never been stable. Recently, the price has been slowly but surely declining:

In the last half-year gold lost almost 15% of its value, from $1,366 in this July down to $1,183 per troy ounce today. Some are claiming that gold might eventually drop to 850-650 dollars, though I don't really believe it can fall significantly below the $1,000 mark due to powerful support from the gold bugs around that level...

In any case, to think of gold prices as something rock solid has more to do with wishful thinking than harsh reality

I would not regard a 2 month period a reasonable investment timeframe as you show in your chart above.  I also still believe the fundamentals for gold are very strong in the mid term when you consider world debt, increase in money supply and the turmoil across the globe that feeds gold price.
