1702  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Provably fair games are not fair on: January 13, 2023, 10:59:10 PM
As far as I know Server seed, Client seed and Nonce are to ensure that the outcome of the game is random and unbiased. You can check this link[1] how provably fair works.

Well, I think during the game there is no certainty of winning a certain number of high payouts in a certain number of spins, or any winning at all. The probability of hitting a high payout depends on the game's rules, and the odds are always set in favor of the house. It is also not guaranteed to hit a high pay in a certain number of spins.  Since as stated the result in a provably fair game is always random.  So we really cannot calculate or predict anything since provably fair game rule is always set to random result of bet.
[...]
I wouldn't say this method really ensures that the outcome of the game is truly random and unbiased, because the owner of the game can give server seeds and default client seeds with low entropy, not random at all, and even biased ones if he wants. Giving the hash of the server seed doesn't mean he just generated it from a TRNG, he is free to give a combination of server, default client seed and nonce already used, of which he knowns the outcome.
But at least it offers a way to avoid that by the ability to change the client seed for a truly random one, with a high entropy if the player cares about it.
1703  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: List of Crypto gambling/casino sites on: January 13, 2023, 10:39:29 PM
I’ve been searching the Internet to see if there is a definitive list of crypto gambling/casino sites and can’t seem to find a decent list. Obviously these sites come and go , but I was wondering if any members had an up to date list of current and if possible a list of ones that have disappeared.  Smiley
Anyway , hope I’ve put this in the right section of the forum - mods please move accordingly.
Thanks in advance for anyones help  Smiley
In addition to the few lists posted above, there is this one dealing with the licenses and KYC requirements of several crypto casinos, from Mahdirakib
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5381143
and this one about bonuses offered by them
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5405581
Unfortunately I don't think a comprehensive one is existing as for now because I don't find some old and famous casinos like nitrobetting in those lists for example.
1704  Economy / Gambling / Re: Livecasino.io - 🔥 up to 20% cashback🔥up to 20% rakeback 🚨 instant withdrawals on: January 13, 2023, 10:14:38 PM
Sadly the VIP level of the Livecasino resets every month which users need to reach the points required again to claim the benefits. @Saint-loup is this same to you? Does your Legendary Stats already reset to the starting rank after the end of month? I’m curious how much rakeback you get for that huge points you accumulated.
Yes my legend rank got a reset at the beginning of the month but fortunately, I still profit from the rank benefits of the last month, that is to say the 15% rakeback and x2 multiplier points. The x2 multiplier helps me to reach another high level this month, but I don't think I will manage to keep the level6/Legend one unfortunately. Anyway I hope there will be some nice promotions or tournaments in the coming months to help me to reach this level another time this year  Smiley
1705  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Evolution Scammed me on duelbits table on: January 13, 2023, 09:48:55 PM
seems like the issue is in your internet connection. also, it is not that your internet is not working, you are most likely experiencing a slow internet connection. as Mahdirakib has said, we would have seen a good number of complaints being posted on Duelbits ANN thread if the issue was on the Evolution game's side.
To get a good number of complaints as you say, you need to get a good number of players first. And unfortunately here, only few people are regular gamblers. So I'm not sure if something goes wrong on one casino one day we will see many complaints popping here. Moreover on a Blackjack table there are usually not more than 7 players at the same time. So if the issue has only happened at one table, it hasn't concerned many users.
@kingbj21 those messages have been sent by Evolution or by Duelbits support?
1706  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Provably fair games are not fair on: January 12, 2023, 10:58:28 PM
I think you don't fully understand what provably fair means, and especially what it doesn't mean. Provably fair doesn't mean you won't lose money in the long run, it doesn't mean the house edge equals 0% or the RTP is 100%. In other words it doesn't mean the expected value is not negative. It just mean you can check the outcome and see if the casino has cheated you or not. So you shouldn't expect to not lose money by playing to these games, you will lose the same amount of money in the long run as a similar live game or a similar non provably fair game not rigged.

But weird as it is, thats probability for you, there are some players that got really lucky against all odds, so there must people people who got wildly unlucky against all odds as well. You just got the shortest draw. I feel like there should be some sort of consolation price when you are being really unlucky. Like leveling up faster or something.
There isn't such thing, you don't get higher levels faster when you lose bets or spins but there is a x3 enhancement when you wager on sportsboook (for non voided bets) if you win or lose. The weekly and monthly bonuses are increased because they are mainly based on the amount you've lost but that's it.

I notice that something is odd when I'm trying to transfer my USDT balance from Bitcasino to Livecasino before. There's a red warning that I can't use the livecasino wallet to receive my Bitcasino balance.

The same thing happen when I ask my friend to transfer $20 from his livecasino account to my Bitcasino acct.  I don't know why it is restricted to transfer fund directly from livecasino to Bitcasino.

I don't know why but it's the same thing with Sportsbet, you can't receive or send funds to Sportsbet from Livecasino. Wallets of Yolo casinos are certainly managed by the same provider, and it must prohibit to send funds to any wallet belonging to itself in order to avoid multi-accounts, without looking at which casino it is destined maybe. It's not very convenient but if you send your funds to an external address first, there is no problem afterwards to send those funds to Livecasino or any other Yolo casino from this address.

alors que des logiciels open source existent
A quels logiciels fais tu référence ?

https://www.assemblee-nationale.fr/dyn/16/textes/l16b0672_proposition-loi

There is currently a promotion during January for some EPL matches giving free chips, if you place a $50 bet on them but unfortunately the Terms & Conditions of this promotion are missing.
Does anyone know if there are some requirements for the odds, if betting odds need to be above 1.50 for example or if bets with low odds are also eligible?
Same question for live bets, are they allowed or is it only promotion on pre-match bets?

1717  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Evolution Gaming - Free Bet Blackjack on: January 08, 2023, 09:51:11 PM
I'm not an expert in Black Jack, but I want to ask - in this variation of the game, the casino margin remains unchanged or is it less/more than in the original game? I understand that adequate gambling is done for the sake of pleasure, and if this variation of the game is interesting, then it is worth playing it, but it is also worth considering the change in the bookmaker's margin (or at least being aware of this change).

The house edge of this blackjack variation is higher than the regular blackjack. This variation of Blackjack has a catch which the game is push if the dealer is bust at 22. According to the article that I read online. The house edge of this game is 1.55% if you apply the regular blackjack strategy which is still acceptable compared to other games like roulette.

You can win big time easily if you manage to hit those free bet and split in early stage. The only downside of this game base on my experience was it’s very easy to become greedy on bets here when you become frustrated on supposed to be win that turns out to be draw on push at 22 especially if you have a successful free double or split card that result to 20 or 21.
It's true but there is at least one blackjack variant at Evolution with a house edge smaller than their regular Blackjack. Their regular blackjack tables are offering a RTP of 99.29%, that is to say a house edge of 0.71% while the Lightning Blackjack game is offering a RTP of 99.56%, that is to say a house edge of 0.44%. I don't play very often to this game, and I didn't get very good results up to now each time I tried it, so I don't know if this RTP asserted by Evolution is real or not. Has anyone got results confirming this figure?
1718  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What Are Some Of The Most Efficient Ways To Invest My Bitcoin Earnings? on: January 08, 2023, 09:26:55 PM
Following my quest to get the best out of Bitcoin; I joined this forum as a newbie and have grown to the full member level with my knowledge base on the subject matter showing significant improvement. I have also joined campaigns from which I have earned. My concern right now is in regards to my future here and the best possible way to reinvest my earnings so I can make profit from it.

The logical choice for me had always been to withdraw my earnings to my wallet or better put, cash out, but with my recent renewed interest in crypto currency, especially bitcoin, I have come to understand a little and have questions bothering on how I can instead invest my earnings or even if it is just a fraction of it into bitcoin or any sure cryptocurrency for profit sake.

What are some of the most efficient ways to invest my bitcoin earnings to yield profit and is the strategy of investing due for long term or short term period?

What steps do I need to take to ensure this works?

Is it a waste of time to try to invest my earnings no matter how small into bitcoin at this stage or is it something that only pays off after a one time big cash investment?
The most easy way is certainly to lend them on serious exchanges in order to fund margin trading orders or to give liquidity to some markets. But as you know, when it's not your key, it's not anymore your coins. So you need to trust the exchanges where you are doing your lendings. You can also do some more sophisticated things like cash and cary trades with futures https://insights.deribit.com/education/cash-and-carry-trades/ or trying to chase bets with positive expected value on sportsbooks and casinos.
1719  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Private key from biometric data? on: January 08, 2023, 08:54:02 PM
If the system wasn't reliable it means it would be dangerous to travel abroad with a biometric passport, as it could prevent you from being able to return in your own country.
This is different, though.

Let's take fingerprints as an example. When you register your fingerprint with a device, the device is pinpointing various minutiae on your fingerprint, such as where a ridge ends, or where a ridge splits in to two, or joins another ridge, or a small ridge island, and so on. It creates a map of those minutiae points, and stores that in memory. When you scan a fingerprint in the future, it compares the minutiae points to the ones on file and decides whether they are similar enough. Their orientation and the distance between them won't be exactly the same, due to the rotation of your finger, or the angle of your finger, or how hard you press, or how cold/warm your skin is, etc., but if they are close enough then you will get a match.

Now consider trying to restore a private key from a fingerprint. The scan isn't exactly the same, because it never is, and so you generate a completely different private key. Perhaps it measured the distance between two minutiae points to be 49 microns, instead of 50. Or perhaps the angle between two points to be 24.4 degrees instead of 24.5. But with nothing to compare to, where do you go next? You have no way of knowing what part of the process is giving you a different reading, and even if you did, nothing you can realistically do to fix it. Do you just endlessly scan your finger over and over and over and hope that eventually you get an identical picture to the first time?
May I ask you if it's just your own opinion based on your knowledge or something you have read in reliable sources because I guess you are not a specialist of the matter and your knowledge on the topic is limited as mine. So I think it would be better to provide some sources supporting those conclusions.
From what I see in those articles some methods seem to already exist to encode fingerprints actually.

There is nothing as important as the private key.

Because the seed phrase can produce the private key, that is why the seed phrase is very important but there is nothing as important as the private key.

Bitcoin core do not have seed phrase, either you backup the master private key or the wallet file. If you backup the wallet.dat, the password will be important if you encrypt it.
Actually Bitcoin Core uses HD wallets with private keys derived from a seed since several years. Only the first versions of the software didn't use them. The seed is not in the BIP 39 mnemonic format but in the WIF private key one, that's why so few people are aware about it.
But you can simply get it by doing a dumpwallet and looking at the first lines of the dump file. The seed will be a key named hdseed in the file.
Quote
Set or generate a new HD wallet seed. Non-HD wallets will not be upgraded to being a HD wallet. Wallets that are already
HD will have a new HD seed set so that new keys added to the keypool will be derived from this new seed.
