1723  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I am pretty confident we are the new wealthy elite, gentlemen. on: May 16, 2015, 04:11:59 PM

What's wrong with $80,000 per coin?

Nothing much but isn't it considerably more of a stretch? A $1000 coin was achieved off the back of a few hundred thousand enthusiasts using comedy exchanges run by children and crooks.

$80,000 would need a decent chunk of global wealth being convinced to pour into it and stay there. It probably wouldn't actually require that much USD in global terms, maybe $100-250 billion of direct expenditure to push it that high but that's still far from chump change.

Possible but far more difficult to achieve.

When the next Bull market finally starts, people will discuss $100,000 to $1 Million+ per BTC and be taken seriously. I think ~$5,000 is not too crazy within a year or two.

None from suggested speculated prices seems impossible.  Just imagine the price per bitcoin when millions of new bitcoiners will want to buy some.  Price will be astronomical.
1724  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: How many confirmations? on: May 16, 2015, 04:04:02 PM
Lets say I send some bitcoin to an address in a normal bitcoin transaction.  How many confirmations will it need before another transaction which spends those bitcoins will be accepted by nodes?

Hey,

You should read this ( https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Confirmation ) to understand confirmations better:

Quote
After a transaction is broadcast to the Bitcoin network, it may be included in a block that is published to the network. When that happens it is said that the transaction has been mined at a depth of 1 block. With each subsequent block that is found, the number of blocks deep is increased by one. To be secure against double spending, a transaction should not be considered as confirmed until it is a certain number of blocks deep. The classic bitcoin client will show a transaction as "n/unconfirmed" until the transaction is 6 blocks deep. Merchants and exchanges who accept bitcoins as payment can and should set their own threshold as to how many blocks are required until funds are considered confirmed. When potential loss due to double spending as nominal, as with very inexpensive or non-fungible items, people may choose not to wait for a transaction to be confirmed, and complete the exchange as soon as it is seen on the network. Most exchanges and other merchants who bear the risk from double spending require 6 or more blocks. There is nothing special about the default, often-cited figure of 6 blocks. It was chosen based on the assumption that an attacker is unlikely to amass more than 10% of the hashrate, and that a negligible risk of less than 0.1% is acceptable. Both these figures are arbitrary, however; 6 blocks are overkill for casual attackers, and at the same time powerless against more dedicated attackers with much more than 10% hashrate. Coins generated aren't considered valid by the Bitcoin protocol for 100 blocks. It is advisable to wait some additional time for a better chance that the transaction will be propogated by all nodes. Some older bitcoin clients won't show generated coins as confirmed until they are 120 blocks deep.

Best regards.

1725  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I googled: "The Times 0(...)" and it completed the sentence... on: May 16, 2015, 03:55:56 PM
I don't get how Google showing me personalized results automatically means they're evil. Also, I have used DuckDuckGo and it never gives me useful results.

They are not evil. They are just affected to the big data Smiley

I don't see Google as something evil but there are ways to use their data in evil way Smiley (well .. you can use holy water in evil way too,  so that's something to be worried about)

Best regards.

Why there are so few total bets?  Huh

That's a good question my friend Smiley

Because site is offering c high quality service and indeed it deserves more total bets made by players Smiley

1727  Economy / Services / Re: Will accept Bitcoin as payment: Marbella Holiday Apartment on: May 16, 2015, 12:35:44 PM
Wow up to 800€ per week, that's really expensive. It must be a beautiful place with great view for you to charge this much. Some pictures would be nice.

IMO it's not so expensive. It's 400-800, not always 800 and this is price for 3 beds - 6 people.

I hope I will be able to rent it one day.

Looking good.

Good luck and best regards.

What does make it so different from any other site?

Maybe it is not spectacular example but this situation above show how fast is working support of MultiDice. Maybe "this" will makes this site a bit different and a bit better than other..  Wink

Multidice support is one of the best. Even some major dice sites  can dream about such quality of their support.

.

Thanks mate, seems that's not what players are looking for.
good support is always one of the things that attract new players, for example pd has really bad email support and people are complaining about it, besides support you could have level based faucet and so on

Indeed. In my opinion support is always a good point. For me it's one of the most important things while using any services when I operate with my coins.

Those times it is hard to say what players are really looking for.

Keep it rolling Multidice! You are doing great job for those who use your service.

Best regards.

What kind of pricing do these custom thread designs run?

1731  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Saying hello to Bitcoin fans! on: May 15, 2015, 04:47:34 PM
Hello everybody!
I'm huge fan of bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies since 2013.
I was reading this forum for over a year, but didn't register (don't ask me why)  Grin
In this time I had only good experiences with bitcoin as payment method. I read lots of people got scammed...that's a shame.
The only thing I don't like at bitcoin is transaction time. Why 10 minutes?  Roll Eyes
If it would be like dogecoin, it would be fantastic. Is this time fixed, or can be changed?

It's not always 10 min.

And I don't think that this is a problem ... you can always pay higher transaction fee if you like to confirm your transaction faster.

It's still a lot faster than bank transfers Smiley

Best regards.

Not to mention that unless you are doing something that requires instant delivery, it won't matter.  Even some gambling sites credit users deposits with 0 confirmations.

You are right.  Thing is that people always want something better than they already have.

:-)

I will take 3 of these please: http://www.sklep-intymny.pl/product-pol-1898-Sex-lalka-Britney.html

how much is total in BTC? If I buy 3, do I get one for free? I *** hard so I guess one won't last longer than a week.

Are you serious with that? Smiley I don't see any "buy 2 get 1 free" on their site Smiley so if you really want it you will need to pay for all of them Smiley

1734  Economy / Goods / Re: [GOODS FROM POLAND] on: May 13, 2015, 03:46:08 PM
I will update shipping prices today and will post some example items with prices.

Best regards.
1735  Economy / Goods / Re: [GOODS FROM POLAND] on: May 13, 2015, 11:21:56 AM

Now kabanos  = one of the BEST of kabanos is 39.99zł per 1kg -- 0.0156 BTC per 1kg of sooo good kabanos Smiley
"Kabanosy Z Koniny" - Tarczyński company.

wow, that's pretty cheap

I'd like to try some, should of done it when I was in Krakow Cheesy

I wish to compare it with our kulen, it's the best thing I'v ever eaten so far Cheesy
Home made, not store bought  Smiley

Price for kabanos were calculated when Bitcoin was worth twice more.

:-) today 39.99PLN (zł) is ~ 0.05 BTC

Best regards.

1738  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin wallet on: May 12, 2015, 08:12:59 PM
What butcoin wallet do you use? I mean blockchain, xapo or whatever. Why? Which one is the best?

butcoin?

Blockchain? Xapo?
Whatever?  Smiley

If we are talking about wallets -> I don't recommend any online wallets. Xapo, or whatever. Also Xapo is not recommended by many BCTalk members.

There are different types of wallets which will suits best for you.

I recommend ( I like )..
For everyday use: "Mycelium Bitcoin Wallet" for Android device or "Bitcoin Wallet" for Android device.

Desktop wallets:  Bitcoin Core: 0.10.1  (mind large size of data folder)

What are your needs? If you want to store coins for a longer term and keep them save, there are better solutions.

Regards.

------------------------------- CLOSING THREAD -------------------------------

Thank you all for watching. I am glad to be an owner of btc-embassy.com and perhaps this domain wont be ever again for sale.
For me it's worth more than coins - it was just a desperate move to get some income to spend on development - but as no body wants to buy it - I will keep with with a pleasure to myself! Smiley

Best regards.

Im not a designer, but if youre looking for an experienced campaign manager im willing to help you out there. As far as designers go roslinpl or medUSA will be your biggest participants. Id start by offering a .250-.4 prize to all designers and you'll see some responses.

Thanks a lot for recommending me!

Cheers!
