Is this for an altcoin? "LC" sounds like a name for an altcoin.

This looks like a trade-off between network bandwidth consumption and block time precision. Am I right?
There's also orphan blocks. Decreased block time = tons of orphans. Just take a look at all the "fast" alt-coins that failed.

I don't see it when I search for the transaction on blockchain.info.
Are you sure the transaction even has a memo attached?

Cavirtex withdraws have been very reliable in the past. However the last withdraw I made with them was on April 2013. If you're willing to pay the withdraw fee for me, I'll be happy to make a test withdraw for you

Why not just download a new wallet to the new computer and send the coins as a transaction?
Why not just download a new wallet to the new computer and send the coins as a transaction?
Personally I'd do this, can't really go wrong see: [...]I am just trying to do this to better understand the system and write up an article so others can understand. [...]

restart bitcoin-qt. this will reconnect you to new peers and hopefully get you a faster peer.

Please read the thread. He has already checked his ram.
|
|

That didn't take long. Less than a minute after my last post my computer shut down again. I think the problem is not that I don't have enough ram. I am using a Samsung Sens R530 with only 2gigs of ram. I am thinking that adding some ram may solve the problem, but the max for this unit is only 3gigs, so I wonder if 1 gig would really make that much difference.
Check task manager and see how much ram you're using. If RAM usage nowhere near 90%, you probably have enough ram.

3. Port is 31337 for two reasons. Reason one: I don't like that crawlers wandering around on port 80 looking for /phpmyadmin and things.[...]
If you don't want crawlers looking at your site, then why hotlink it on a public forum?

How would I go about configuring bitcoind to forward all change to a new address?
There's no built-in mechanism to do that. You can, however make a script that checks the wallet's balance, and sends the amount to an address of your choice.

I have a wallet with BTC in it, problem is I have good fiber internet (100Mbit), still I can download weeks and it still is not completing the blockchain.....
Restarting the client will connect you to new peers, which can potentially improve download speeds. Or use the blockchain torrent https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=145386.0

So like the title says I want to learn to use BTC without compromising my IP at all
use bitcoin-qt with tor. Alternately, you can use armory to sign your transactions and broadcast it using blockchain.info (using a proxy, of course). I want to learn how to store my coins offline to remain impervious from theft.. I want to divert a certain amount of my coin to these paper wallets which will then be stored in a safe which is bolted to a cement floor in a private storage unit..

I am using DeepBit.net. My worker is set to Pay Per share. I was getting steady movement all week near to what was estimated about 4.00 USD/ Day. I moved my device and a laptop into workers. Since then I have got no increase in credit. I'm sure that I messed something up but I can not figure out what. My miner is working and there is nothing unusual in the log. even if I attach my miner to my account w/o the worker designation The pool tells me that I have a hash rate that is at a speed that I expect. but my credit has not moved at all. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Would it be likely at all for no credit to be given in that length of time at my current hash rate? ( That is that nothing was discovered by the pool)
It's possible that you reconfigured your worker to a different payment scheme. Try contacting the pool administrator for support.

Try doing the following: 1. make a copy of your %appdata%\bitcoin folder 2. delete %appdata%\bitcoin 3. run a clean install of 0.8.3 (latest version) 4. start bitcoin 5. go to task manager and set the bitcoin's process affinity to only 1 cpu core 6. wait for it to sync
see if you get any more crashes.

So false! Blockchain.info actually pars your ip with the transaction if you create it on their site. Otherwise they use the relaying node's ip.
orly? A random transaction I pulled off the site: https://i.minus.com/idppJYCQHteTw.png
