1721  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: == Bitcoin challenge transaction: ~100 BTC total bounty to solvers! ==UPDATED== on: March 08, 2023, 04:29:00 AM
Guys I'm telling you, Satoshi solved the puzzle, few days after I pointed him to this thread, he did it with his super GPU computer, and I bet he is busy with the next one #125. I just didn't expect him to take the loots alone, we were partners.🤣 at least let me loot the garbage coins. Lol.
1722  Other / Serious discussion / Re: I need your ideas on: March 08, 2023, 04:12:08 AM
hopefully you will get suicidal thoughts out of your mind in a few days.
It's been months since he posted, I pretty much am certain if it was going to happen, it would have by now. People who tend to kill themselves for real usually wouldn't talk about it, those who do, are looking for someone to comfort their pain and a little hope given to the person is enough for them to reconsider.

Having that said, you are too late for that hope and comfort. Make sure you never sign up for suicide hot lines. Lol.
1723  Other / Serious discussion / Re: Recovering funds arbitrator request on: March 08, 2023, 04:00:32 AM
So since this was pointless to even request.... i want to know who to file a claim with the site from someone who inst biased.
OR does this need to be done via attorney ?

Do you know how it was done, can you reproduce the results or you don't know anything about it?
What I mean, is this the only one time in history of bitcoin that something like this is happening or do you know any similar cases?
Because if you can't do what he did then how are you going to prove to anyone that someone transferred 10,000 bitcoins without having a private key? It doesn't matter what data you had, unless it was a signed transaction, which I doubt anyone would keep a signed tx on a file.

What makes people doubt you is the fact that nobody has been able to do what you are claiming is possible.
1724  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: this is, how easy it is to scam people on: March 07, 2023, 09:07:46 PM
Somehow I doubt that a person with a binance account to be stupid, the process to which you need to go through in order to be able to trade at binance is with some complication that not any ordinary individual is capable of handling it. Moreover I fail to see any gullibility here.
1725  Other / Archival / Re: I hid the dust under the rug - it means I cleaned the apartment on: March 07, 2023, 08:50:19 PM
To be frank, I don't see any benefit to report years old topics/ posts as others pointed out. However if a topic is still active and has many pages with useful information for new readers, it is logical to clean the early pages even if the posts are years old, but reporting dead topics/ posts, is just a waste of your time unless the goal is something other than a clean up, it could be perceived as if you are trying to bump up the report count, and since there is no competition for more report counts here, your method seems inane no matter your intentions.

But as I said earlier, you should always use a more friendly tone and wait at least a day or two, to receive more feedback, you know? Like behaving in a way to put the responsibility of defending your case on others, that way if you were right, the community would have acted accordingly to prove your point, but now it is either the mod's fault or your's. You left no middle ground for us to stand.
1726  Other / Archival / Re: I hid the dust under the rug - it means I cleaned the apartment on: March 07, 2023, 07:44:33 PM
I like how Welsh came in like Natasha to calm the angry beast, as I read the replies I could see the hulk shrinking.
Your reaction is what I had few years ago when I thought admin reduced my smerits because I was an outsider (foreigner), I did the same as you which I later regret it.

For a few weeks I can see less spam and garbage, though I don't visit altcoin forums at all, maybe once in a week, but other sections look cleaner and honestly I enjoy it.

I would like to thank you for all the efforts you have put to this thankless task, believe me, we all appreciate it.
But talking like that with moderators/ who have been here longer than you is not appropriate especially coming from someone like you. You both deserve more than this.

Honestly, after so many years I get pissed when I see reports are marked as bad or I see my posts deleted but after a few minutes I calm myself by reasoning with my inner hulk and then move on. One thing I know, mods do their best to stay neutral and unbiased, so you should always approach such cases more  leniently than you already have, like posting here to notify the admin and other mods and post a more consulting oriented topic rather than a "fuck this I'm out". We would like pretty much to have people like you around. I hope you continue the support as it is towards the community than admins/ mods.
In other words, you are contributing to the forum as a whole not just to a part of it.
1727  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: worried about downloading blockchain... on: March 07, 2023, 06:59:35 PM
Encrypt the blockchain data on your hard drive
What? Why such fuss? Just go pruned or disable the sharing of your blocks manually.

If a "government" wants to limit the non-transactional data on nodes in their country, they should limit the miners not to mine them in the first place, and one government knows they don't have the power to limit all the miners, and no power to actually control individual node's behavior, but they do have the power to limit services such as block explorers and other online services engaging in the distribution and exchange of such data.
They can't do shit, in my opinion, for if they could, they would already have. Bitcoin nodes? They are not targets in the first place. Miners? They can't detect who's mining practically. Block explorers / SPV servers / Users? Tor.
Never suggested encrypting the data, that was a question.
I was also speaking generally, if there is a global ban on services related to ordinal/image/ garbage content creators on blockchain, they can't use clear net, so they will have to go deep in the dark net, where they belong.
1728  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Is the handshake version-verack? on: March 07, 2023, 06:17:01 PM
Say verack comes first. Then the node which initiates the connection sends version, then receiving node responds with varack-version in this order and then the initiating node responds with its own verack. What's the problem?
Do you have any example to show us? Where did you see any interruption between sender and receiver?

Edit, according to my source, both clients need to exchange their versions first, then the header ( verack ).

1729  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: worried about downloading blockchain... on: March 07, 2023, 06:02:30 PM
One could in a new core version,
Simply encrypted the blockchain with AES.
The own private key for the wallet would also be suitable as an AES key.
Then no government of the world could decipher its blockchain.

Apart from that, everyone who is afraid can simply encrypt their hard drive.

Encrypt the blockchain data on your hard drive, how would other nodes read your encrypted data? If it's accessible for other nodes, it will be accessible to everyone, you can't hide/ lock the data if you want to maintain a node.

They can't censor nodes just because of some garbage which you could get even without running a node.

And no dark web trader wants that much attention, they wouldn't touch ordinal/ whatever else as their advertisement medium. If you see such data there, it's not the usual illegal traders, it's the opposition trying to fight the junk.
1730  Local / Other languages/locations / Re: فارسی (Persian) on: March 07, 2023, 04:41:58 PM

If you'd added this rule sooner, I would have applied with a clean trust account, lol. Just so you know, having such rules have no effect whatsoever, anyways good luck on your education.

Wow, you intentionally excluded me from your giveaway?
Sad face emoji here.
1734  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Non-digital/non-electronic storage for secret material (private keys) on: March 06, 2023, 10:04:27 AM
Tattoo, engraving on the walls of caves, etc. Just don't think too much about it. How many backups do the banks have of account information? 2 or 3, so for bitcoin that's enough.
1735  Economy / Reputation / Re: [Interviews] with Bitcointalk members on: March 06, 2023, 06:28:31 AM
Lol you want us to pick the questions? Since when this forum become a whorewhitehouse? You should apply for mainstream media to become a journalist.🤣
Now where are the Qs? I'm dying to push my opinions down your throats. 😉
1736  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: REWARD offered for hash collisions for SHA1, SHA256, RIPEMD160 and other on: March 06, 2023, 06:05:55 AM
Btw, why bitcoin's SHA256 is different, is it because it hashes bytes?
The only difference is the size and the algorithm, otherwise all hash functions deal with bytes although the algorithm is defined to work with octet strings, they are all implement to deal with full octets (ie. the algorithm is defined to let you compute the hash of a 1 bit input but implementations don't let you and it has to be padded to 8 bits).
Is there any tool that I could use offline to experiment on BTC's SHA-256 and both 160 hash functions on windows? (Lol). I tried different online services and all of their output differed from bitcoin's. That's why I asked.

@long inactive OP, at the time of creating the reward transactions, you spent around 0.5BTC as a reward for something that challenging and at the time price of 0.5 bitcoin was less than 100$, was this a mockery of some sort or you guys were serious?
1737  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Satoshi Nakamoto Is US Government on: March 06, 2023, 02:27:45 AM
Now I understand why the computer mouse price skyrocketed in US in the recent years, They were used to click away and create wallets. Though did they get the coins first and then created the wallets or did they created the wallets and then got the coins?
How did they transact 15M bitcoins? Was it as fast as 15M clicks or did it take years?

I have heard if you try reversing the sound made when you say satoshi nakamoto, you can  hear it clearly it says USA, USA. Just put it on loop and you will understand, if you are going to object to the subject raised by me, Don't Ok?
1738  Other / Off-topic / Re: How to find a girl like this...;) on: March 06, 2023, 02:08:32 AM
Onlyfans.com is one of the great places where you can only watch the girl of your dreams. Lol. No there is no such a place. Don't look, just live with the one you love not for what they offer you, but for what they are.
1739  Other / Off-topic / Re: Webb telescope makes a surprising galactic discovery in the distant universe on: March 06, 2023, 01:36:21 AM
I like it how you discredit the entirety of science in all fields just by saying universe was born 7500 years ago. You are not only proving anything but insulting thousands of years of experiments, hard works done by millions of people, and yet you easily throw them all away by a single sentence. Lol. Since the expansion of the universe happened faster than the speed of light for some time, there is actually no way for us to observe the real time of big bang. No matter how much further you look in to the past.

In the past we didn't have the tools to look deeper, so we thought we have seen everything, and it's not about how much we have to wait for the light to reach us, even if you wait until the universe is destroyed, you still wouldn't be able to see the end( starting point of the big bang ), I don't know why they used to believed they have seen( measured the age of the universe). Guess the cosmos had other plans for us.😉
1740  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: REWARD offered for hash collisions for SHA1, SHA256, RIPEMD160 and other on: March 05, 2023, 11:58:19 PM
Can someone please explain what happens if there is a collision? How can someone exploit it? How can we stop the exploit? Is it safe to publish such collisions like what the OP is asking?  Btw, why bitcoin's SHA256 is different, is it because it hashes bytes?
Since this is technical I don't know where else to ask.
