1741  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A no-Bitcoin friend turned a old Bitcoiner on: June 20, 2023, 10:30:05 PM
...

Today I get to know from a relative of his, who thought that we are into Bitcoin investment together, a coincidence that brings up some suspicious thought, now I am left with thoughts of why he was hiding this all along from me?

At first I though maybe he was scared bringing me along, but it doesn't make any sense because I thought I knew better than him and I needed to teach him.

What do you think is probably ongoing here?

Not all holders are the same I'm also holding some information on my friends and relatives who are investors like me, I value my privacy when it comes to investing so just be happy that he is into Bitcoin like you when it comes to investing in Bitcoin and you know someone, learns to accept the fact that you do not have the privilege to ask him to open up.

You can now talk about the market and news about the industry and what coins are good and what are going to be pumped but not to the point that he will open up his investment to you, I don't want to say that he distrust you because you know him better, but still congratulate him for investing in Bitcoin.
1742  Other / Meta / Re: My password was changed on this forum on: June 20, 2023, 02:54:05 PM
Today when I tried to login, my  old password was not working. Was my account hacked ? Do I need to worry about it.

I was able to reset password as email was not changed.

Are you copy-pasting your password and how complicated is your password if you follow the right security in creating your password, then it is a combination of small letters, big letters, special characters, spaces, and numbers and because of this, you may have mistyped some of the letters because your keyboard could be malfunctioning.
This was my case when I cannot log in.

But if you think that this is not the case then you are right in changing your password, if there's an intrusion you are lucky that the email was not changed.

But do an investigation if you think that there's an intrusion.

1743  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A discussion On Too Much Gambling Addiction Topic on: June 20, 2023, 01:01:47 PM

....take a look at this thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5456913.0  it was creatd yesterday admist of all the complaints of such type of thread and it already has more than one page yet we're complaining of too much addiction threads. If we are not going to do anything about it then we can as well stop complaining.

Checking the OP of that post he did not post on topics that concern flooding of topic about gambling addiction, he may not be aware of the existence of these threads or he just ignored it so we cannot tell if he agreed about too much discussion about gambling addiction.
Or does he abide by my opinion that
Quote
I voted that the topic of gambling should be minimized but if there are unique topics about gambling addiction it's okay to create one.

The topic that he created may not be unique but it has different variations from what I've read here in gambling discussion so my take is the thread is good.
1744  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [Warning]: New Mystic Stealer targets 40 web browsers and crypto wallets on: June 20, 2023, 11:58:45 AM

Mode of infection is always the same, crack softwares, torrents and warez, unsolicited emails.

How else can it get, by letting hackers get into your system, anti-virus and malware are ineffective some can still manage to get it, awareness is the first prevention you should always be aware of what you're opening and what you're downloading even on sites that you think are safe

Quote
So again, just a reminder to everyone just to be careful of anything you download in the web as it may contains a malware and might be too late once our crypto wallets have been drained.

https://inquest.net/blog/2023/06/15/mystic-stealer-new-kid-block
Just reading the article makes us scared of what this virus can do to our system

Quote
As Mystic Stealer is a new player, it's hard to predict its trajectory. What's clear, however, is that it's a sophisticated threat with the potential for widespread damage.

So double your effort, awareness, and education everything you've had are stake here, and make security your number one concern especially if you are involved in Cryptocurrency.
1745  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: 1XBIT SCAMMED for 30.69mBTC on: June 19, 2023, 11:18:29 PM
Their trustpilot reviews are on decent level, I decided to check them with small-medium stakes but it seems like even that it did not work. Lucky me that they let me withdraw my desposit as I saw now in the past they were doing worse scams.
You can use my post as another one as a proof this site is scam machine and is not worth to trust at any stakes.

Like all the others here its surprising that they let you withdraw, some other complainants are totally ignored, I'm surprised that they are now doing this but they are still scam sites, it's been quite some time since I have not seen a new post about 1xbit here but this does not mean that they are changing their ways, they are very far from going straight even though they claim in their thread that they are resolving issues, with hundreds of scam reports, it will take a lot of money to restore their reputation

I'm still encouraging people to post their bad experiences on 1xbit here when it comes to scams, there are never enough bad reports.
1746  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Blackrock ETF for the win! on: June 19, 2023, 09:48:27 PM
Take note — nag aapply ang BlackRock ng ETF; walang guarantee na ma aapprove ito, since naka ilan na ring application ng Bitcoin Spot ETF ang ilang kumpanya dati at lahat sila na-decline.

Though mas mataas chansa ng ngayon ng konti, dahil malaking kumpanya ang BlackRock at mas may resources sila to make this work.

Mukhang may magandang chance na ma approve ang Blackrock dahil ayon sa article sila ay undefeated against SEC.
Quote
It’s the “real deal,” according to Senior ETF Analyst at Bloomberg Eric Balchunas, who defended the “ETF” label yesterday on Twitter. Balchunas also pointed out that BlackRock is nearly undefeated when going up against the SEC, at 575-1,

1747  Economy / Gambling discussion / A discussion On Too Much Gambling Addiction Topic on: June 19, 2023, 02:23:43 PM
I will lock this thread once it reaches 40 responses or the discussion reaches its high point.

I understand there is a call to minimize gambling addiction topics

I think topics/discussion on gambling addictions is too much

I understand the concern raised, but we need to understand that this forum is an internet platform since it has a good rank every topic that we discuss and started is indexed immediately by Google for those visitors who are looking for their concerns.

I have here two samples of topics about gambling addiction and both topics landed on the first page
so my point is we are helping this forum to gain more traffic and visitors if we have a unique and fresh topic and this is why what we advertise in our signature gets more leads.

I voted that the topic of gambling should be minimized but if there are unique topics about gambling addiction it's okay to create one.

So it's like this
A good discussion gets indexed for new visitors and new leads for what we advertise.

This is my take what's your take?

1748  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will you find it offensive to be referred to as an addicted gambler? on: June 19, 2023, 12:44:28 PM
The answer is different for every gambler here.

For me, that's offensive whether you're addicted to gambling or not because being addicted to gambling connotes or described that you have no control over how you gamble and you are someone that can not be trusted with money, this is the reason why compulsive gamblers deny that they are addicted to gambling and those who gamble responsibly will also deny and challenge those people who refer them as addicted to gambling.

This is something that we all watch out for, people describing or treating us as addicted to gambling, so if we gamble be sure that we minimize your time and don't let others, who knows you, how much money you spend.

People are judgemental and it could ruin your reputation and character, especially if your reputation is part of your job or business.
1749  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Happy father's day to Satoshi Nakomoto on: June 19, 2023, 10:06:41 AM
I support! Bitcoin is a very ingenious "invention"!
But behind the pseudonym Satoshi Nakamoto is most likely a large team.

How likely is it that, Satoshi Nakamoto's identity is still under speculation we all thought he is an old man from Japan or Craig Wright, there was a thread I read he is from India and there's speculation that it's a NASA team but I support in greeting him a Happy Father's day because he is the founding father of Bitcoin and the Cryptocurrency community, so every year we should greet our founding father a Happy Father's day, as a way of thanking of bringing Bitcoin.
1750  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [SCAM] Stake.com trying to scam! on: June 18, 2023, 11:15:55 PM
Hi, welcome back to Bitcointalk good to know that you move on and forgotten about the suicide well I hope you realize that there is still life after what happened to your account on Stake, Covid is manageable now you can back to work or you are working now, you can now provide for your family forget about gambling for now because you are gambling within your means, it's not good for someone like you who has a tendency to commit suicide.
You've misread him IMO, he didn't tell he stopped gambling, he said the bookie has still not paid his winnings neither give him back his own deposited funds till now. Fortunately decentralized sportsbooks without KYC and funds custody are growing fast, and will compete with those dishonest sportsbooks very soon IMO, because nobody likes being likely to be scammed once he manages to win risky bets. And even if scammed customers find a safe place to bet I don't think they will forget their stolen funds, so it's also a risky game for scammers.
Yeah I know, that he didn't get paid that is why I included his quote, if he gets paid the title would have been changed to resolved

Still relevant :/
Scam sh....t Sad

I welcome him because he did not consider suicide
Hello everyone...

P.S. I will definitely mention Stake in my suicide note...

And perhaps realized that there's more to life than going for this, I even encouraged him to look for his family, yes it hurts if you think you got scammed even though you know you are right, I don't know who is right or wrong here, I just encourage OP to never consider suicide.
1751  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: my message to Tim Heath sportsbet owner. on: June 18, 2023, 10:39:10 PM
The guy is obviously a compulsive gambler, he wants his way and will not accept casinos' decision to limit or stop him he prefers to go here than ask the casino's support why he is limited.
These newbies are abusing the scam section totally ignoring this section's purpose and not following the right format.

They just want to give the casino a bad reputation even though they know that this will not consider a scam accusation because OP did not lose money, he is so sure that he can win if he is not limited so he thinks he is going to lose money.
1752  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Suggestion on: June 18, 2023, 09:41:11 PM

..One of my friends asked me a question regarding why I am trading and investing in cryptocurrencies considering that there is no central authority and no physical entity involved. They were concerned that if the internet were to go down today I would lose all my investments.?
People are so used up to the central authority,  physical offices, and human management that they cannot accept something like a technology run by algorithms, machines, and the internet is possible and that's because they are so ignorant and limited in their knowledge about Bitcoin and Cryptocurrency.

Quote
They also asked why the currency of cryptocurrencies is valued so highly.?
Because it's decentralized and privacy in nature, something that we all need in a world where the government wants to interfere with everything that we're doing aside from the profit people are going to get from investing.
Cryptocurrency now is what the internet was when it was just starting we are going to need it in our lives.

1753  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Meron Na Bang Naka Apply Dito At Is It Worth It on: June 18, 2023, 02:23:11 PM
Meron palang ganito at bigatin din yung mga members. Siguro for me hindi ito worth it for me unless may specific goals or target ako na magawa within this organization. Membership fee is no biggie pero hindi ako mag sspend ng ganung amount para lang matawag na member nito. Maybe you can gain connections since bigating tao yung mga kasama mo sa organization but yeah maybe not for me. Ano ba mga benefits as a member of this organization aside from possible connections?

1754  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I think topics/discussion on gambling addictions is too much on: June 18, 2023, 10:55:47 AM
It would be good if the thread gets closed by the OP after 100 response. If not then it is better to start reporting those threads to the mods. Let them then decide how to handle these kind of spams.

Yes that's a good suggestion and I will lock my thread created for gambling addiction,  once it reaches 100 responses or less  I think the number is already good because all the members have given their input on the subject and further responses will be considered spam or redundant.

I think all OPs who create topics about gambling addiction should put a note that they will voluntarily close the topic once it reaches enough responses, 100 responses, or 72 hours is already good.
1755  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Project: Sewing machine BITCOIN on: June 18, 2023, 10:32:21 AM
Sewing Machine #BITCOIN on geyserfund  is done!

Bought:
1) Brother F480 (0.07 BTC) with automatic thread tension adjustment for flawless stitches.

2) Brother 2104D Overlocker (0.01 BTC) for seamless seams and trimming.
Now accepting orders for Bitcoin-themed clothes! #sewing

Congratulations you've got your goal, Brother sewing machine brands are the best compared to Juki and Siruba, I am a sewer myself and have never handled or used an automatic digitalized thread tension adjuster
You have to manually adjust the tensions to the fabric you're sewing, I don't know if we have something like you're using here in our country.

Here's a sample of what we've had in my friend's shop Siruba 747 series.

1756  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Oleksandr Usyk VS Daniel Dubois For The Undisputed heavyweight champion on: June 17, 2023, 11:47:39 PM

While we can agree that Usyk indeed can defeat Dubios, the opposite can also happen. It's more possible to happen to me.
19 fights and 18 by KO is a scary record for a heavyweight.  Usyk will not be surprised if he is gonna be knockout by Dubios, just look at how solid young man he is compared to the old Usyk.

Strange choice of place, they could just agree on Wembley Stadium? There must be a story behind this decision.

Usyk is well aware of that power but he knows how to counter these strong boxers, and that is to make them awkward just like he did against Joshua, Dubois's only loss was against Joe Joyce who capitalized Dubois's lack of movement and jabs and this is what Usyk will do.

About the place of the fight It's a 43,000-seat stadium and the promoter expects it to be full, Usyk wants to fight in front of his fellow Ukrainian but since it's not possible, the nearest is fighting in Poland where one of his biggest fan base is located.

1757  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Recommendations for signature designers on: June 17, 2023, 11:13:13 PM
Jayce is on top of the market but another good option is icalical

If you are the owner of a project that needs a design, launching a contest is a good option so you can have the best design for your project, but if it's for your client and the signature is immediate then hiring a designer is the best option, its better to contact the candidates to check their price and additional input.
1758  Economy / Services / Re: Instagram Comments Likes on: June 17, 2023, 09:34:53 PM
I am looking for Instagram comment likes services. I tested so many services but nothing works!

Offer some ones.

Have you tried Fiverr there are over thousands of services dedicated to Instagram alone and the followers and likes are organic, but it will cost you a lot, another one worth trying and looking at is Addmefast, if you tried both services, another option is to do a contest for Instagram likes in the bounty section but your content should be Cryptocurrency related because these bounty hunters are involved in Cryptocurrency.
1759  Economy / Gambling discussion / Oleksandr Usyk VS Daniel Dubois For The Undisputed heavyweight champion on: June 17, 2023, 02:41:22 PM
This promises to be a great fight in the making as both fighters have gone through a lot and both are champions, this is a battle of tacticians, and expect a lot of jabs and movements in the ring but this is not going to be a boring fight as both fighters are capable of hurting his opponent.

I have Usyk as the favorite here being an undisputed champion but I don't rule out Dubois coming up with a massive upset because he can do it.

So who you got in this fight

Quote
Oleksandr Usyk will square off against Daniel Dubois on Saturday 26th August 2023 at Stadion Wroclaw in Wroclaw.

The fight will take place over 12 rounds in the Heavyweight division, which means there is no weight limit.

This contest is for the undisputed heavyweight championship of the world, with the WBO, WBA, IBF & The Ring belts on the line.

Also, is it possible to tinker the tool to provide the number of posts made per day?
This can help CMs get accounts that make posts in only 3–2 days per round.

Yes, it could support such a feature. However, there would need to be actual interest in the project for me to invest much more time.

I do have some plans of improving it overall to be able to support more features.

Since you're offering to manage bounty you can explore and develop it in your campaign this is actually a good tool to add when you are offering developers to manage their marketing.

We do not have this back from 2017 to 2019 when the bounty campaign was at its highest but you can never tell if suddenly there's a surge of bounty campaigns, I'm sure in the future there will be a big surge of new campaigns and it's good if we have something in place where bounty managers can use for all their campaigns.

We now have talkimg.com made for the community we need more for users and bounty managers.
