That is cool. I know over on the MemoryCoin forum they have a setup for running it from Amazon as well as Digital Ocean. https://bitsharestalk.org/index.php?board=35.0I would use all of these servers for MemoryCoin. Use the Yam miner software. That would really get the most out of them.
yeah, I had around 50 servers running yam on protoshares until the feb 28 midnight thing. well, they're still doing protoshares, but that's just 'cause i'm lazy. memorycoins would be better.. oh.. i started running bitcoind again on 3 of them just for kicks. i wish blockchain would connect to them more often ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) ed: oh, for a while there protoshares were even good to use with those Amazon EC2 7c 8 core instances

This won't mess up the pre-release DualMiner support will it? Or should I wait until the official release of BFG 4 and MultiMiner? MultiMiner version 2.7.6 is now available. This bugfix release includes the following changes: - Port is now specified when reporting Network Devices to MobileMiner (for cases where multiple miners are running on one device)
- Fixed an error updating MultiMiner on all rigs using MultiMiner Remoting with more than 10 rigs (InvalidOperationException)
- Improved performance integrating with the MobileMiner API
- Fixed a rare application crash if a specific network timeout occurred
- Fixed a rare NULL reference exception on startup
Mote notably this release lightens the load on MobileMiner when running multiple Network Devices and MultiMiner.

I'm running mine on Windows 7 using the pre-release version of MultiMiner and it runs great. No problems or downtime. Can anyone with a similar rig comment on stability? How often do you need physical access to your rig, and why?
Software updates will bring more stability. Stay away from windows. I currently have 99 DMs running on a Pi for over 72 hours without any failures. I was having issues for a while where a DM or two would go down and I would have to have physical access to the hubs to fix the issue. After running only 9 DMs per orico p10-u2 and some new software (still testing, should be committed to git soon) I haven't had any fail. My only downtimes have been me moving pools. Once everything is configured properly you shouldn't need physical access often.

That could be really cool. I am sure they are time consuming though. I am looking forward to the new one's and especially the silver one's they should be great.
Would be cool if they had a serial number, like the RavenBits. ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)

So these work fine with BFGMiner as well? I love the look of them and the power consumption is looking good as well.

Coaex is a really good site for Gold and Silver. http://www.coaex.com/Tell him I recommend them to you. He is a great guy as well. Gave me some real solid advice on gold as well.

That makes sense. Thanks for explaining it. I see, so the worker for my Avalon 70 gh/s should be around 32. Now what should that enhance or help with? Does it also help you on the pool side of it with say lower latency and less dupes? How does it affect my rewards? Sorry to pester you with this but that was the first answer I got that helped and I really want to understand it better.
Difficulty is mostly for bandwidth reduction, and it also helps reduce load on the pool. It doesn't make you earn more (or less), it simply optimizes the amount of communication required between you and the pool. Each step you increase difficulty reduces the chatter between you and the pool by half of the previous value. It increases variance on your end slightly, but the recommendations I gave above are recommended because they end up having a less than 1% effect on your 24 hour variance (personal variance refers to share submission rates, not to be confused with pool variance).

I am going to this evening. That BTC would have been put to a better use towards mining equipment that I am .15 short for to be able to buy if I had not been ripped off twice last week for the .13 total. This is the weak link in crypto currencies as there are even fewer way to get your payments back if you are scammed than if it was cash. It's so frustrating and makes me lose faith in people sometimes. Even if you were only scammed for $10, please utilize the forum's trust function and leave the seller negative feedback.

Thanks I now have to see if I can do it. Escrow is free

Is this shipped from within the US? Last one I recently purchased was about $65 shipping in the US. I am trying to figure out if I can afford shipping if I buy this. Also what is the fee for escrow? Thanks

Good luck. I wish you the best of it in your battle with this. I have watched a friend die from his battle with drug addiction so don't ever give up. Heal up well.

Same with an order of baby stuff my wife ordered they are stuck in the south. Did you know yet if you had 2 for me to order on this one? If so I will send the BTC and PM. If not it's ok just let me know. Thanks

It's finally gotten back on track today. Variance was a nasty one this past week. Even though the difficulty jumped I am back up to almost the same return again. Not bad. BTCG keep rocking on. Without variance, at this difficulty you should be making about $0.40 an hour with an S1. You need to run a few days to get a better average. I run at BTC Guild too, they had some awful luck since the difficulty switch.

Cool I will look forward to checking it out. It really sounds like you are well on your way. ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) Does it use the same or less power as well as being less buggy?
Until the final specs are out, there is no way to know for certain. I will be working on a spreadsheet to provide a best guess estimate based on the currently advertised information from friedcat.

What is the formula for choosing worker minimum difficulty? I have no idea what to do with it and info is sketchy at best on the web.
The workers page shows you the recommended speed for each difficulty. Basically: Round your GH/s down to the nearest power of 2 (2, 4, 8, 16, 32, etc.).

That is a beast! I hope you are starting to feel better.

Since we are on worker settings. What is the formula for choosing worker minimum difficulty? I have no idea what to do with it and info is sketchy at best on the web. I know his has been asked and answered before but can someone please humor me.
I know PPS is pay per share and PPLNS is pay per last n shares. I also know that PPS can benefit a user when a pools having bad luck since they're paid per share. I'm not just too sure why one might choose one ovre the other other than PPS during bad luck.
Also, and this is for eleuthria... I'm not showin any shares for shift 15,360 and my miners are running fine. I did switch to PPS about an hr or two ago if that matters.
PPLNS pays better. Period. In any reasonable time frame, PPLNS wins. Jumping to PPS based on luck is gambler's fallacy. The ONLY reason you would use PPS over PPLNS is if you have some kind of *daily* bills that you can only pay via BTC, meaning you need 100% reliable earnings on a daily basis with no variance. As for your second question: If you're on PPS you do not have shares in shifts.

Those storms are delaying everything from down there. You would think we have never had snow before. Just 20 years ago every winter was mostly like this. Err - it's still in Kentucky, hasn't moved since yesterday... time to call UPS
