1741  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will the Bitcoin price ever drop back down to $500? on: December 14, 2016, 07:30:31 PM
Simply impossible. The traction is too strong, nothing can stop bitcoin now from reaching the new all time high, there's no stopping now, all those people waiting for the perfect price to enter will be keeping left behind. There will no be major backslash until we destroy ATH and achieve 3000+ per BTC, then a big dip to an unknown price, then we are back on track.
1742  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin in India? Not for a LOOOOONG time. on: December 14, 2016, 07:26:05 PM
It's unfortuante that india is not ready for bitcoin yet, mainly because people is too uninformed to even know what it is let alone how to properly use it to store and move their wealth. A lot of people is going to lose their net worth because of government stupidity and gold will be confiscated if they try to go the gold route.
1743  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: NOT Upgrading to SegWit who's with me?! on: December 14, 2016, 07:22:28 PM
Only idiots that don't understand technology want to block segwit. Andreas Antonopoulos has advice several times to activate segwit before we try to raise the blocksize, because it's a mistake and brings up many new vectors of attack.

Segwit first, blocksize increase later. If there is no segwit, blocksize will stay 1MB forever, so your choice.
1744  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How Many Bitcoin Full Nodes Are Operated By Businesses? on: December 14, 2016, 07:17:40 PM
It's not possible to see what node is being run by what person or entity, so we can only guesstimate. You can add in all the bitcoin experts and people that talk about it all the time like Andreas A or Trace Mayer or all those guys, they all run nodes, they all want to activate segwit as soon as possible so thats 0.13.1 nodes.
1745  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: New Video: Why I am Not Selling Any Bitcoins Yet! on: December 14, 2016, 07:15:37 PM
Nice video indeed, but I don't really share your opinion about Altcoin.

Altcoins will rise when bitcoin fails. If bitcoin is successful, the altcoins will loose. I was really optimistic about Zcash, but look at it now  Shocked

It was clear since the beginning that Zcash would be a disaster. The sketchy ass way that the anonymity works due needing you to trust the developers into doing some fancy ridiculous gathering to delete master keys that would give them access to the entire network and the stupid coin emission that guarantees a perpetual inflation for years makes it a very shitty investment.
1746  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Inside The Mind Of A Bookmaker on: December 13, 2016, 04:27:55 PM
I didn't understand what OP is wanted to know from this post?

There are so many matches are fixed these days, so none of our experience will help to guess the winners correctly, and these bookies know how to play with these tricks and get profit. Normal persons difficult to guess those things.

Indeed so many people getting caught in total frauds nowadays, but that usually happens in the lower divisions, its way harder to fix a high level match for example first division soccer. Imagine the insanity that would happen if a Barca vs Real Madrid was found to be fixed. It could be the end of sport. Nobody would trust anything ever again. That's why I think it's reasonable to bet on high level matches.
1747  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC on FOX 22: VanZant vs Waterson on: December 13, 2016, 04:12:02 PM
I think the Urijah Faber and Brad Pickett fight has a reasonable pick for Urijah Faber in favor of a win. That is what i would do if I bet money, he is really good, but both will retire that night so im sure both will go at 100% and take big risks to put on a good show.

Paige VanZant surprised me with a greatly executed flying kick out of Tekken 3 that put the opponent to the floor in the last fight then forced a submission with repeated punches in the head. I hope she can keep winning, she has potential to become a big cash cow for the UFC brand, she definitely has the looks, she must be the cutest fighter I've seen.
1748  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Ballon d'Or discussion and odds on: December 13, 2016, 04:02:44 PM
Well Ronaldo won. That was a very easy bet, too bad I didn't gamble any money. I heard that it was leaked for days before the event that Cristiano already won. I didn't trust this enough so I didn't risk it. I learned from last time with the Hillary vs Trump thing. Some people claimed Hillary already won and was rigged, we saw that "Madame President" stuff leaked magazine. All the odds were in favor of Hillary... then Trump won.

Could have happened the same with this, except this time odds and polls were right.

Speculation Rule: buy when others are irrationally pessimistic or too cautious

For trading in general it's buy on strength and sell on weakness.  But with Bitcoin's case it's buy the dips and hold, so the OP has the right idea, but only with Bitcoin.

Yeah, buy the dips and hold on bitcoin never fails to deliver, we just saw this in action a couple of hours ago, I bought at 765 dip and now we are back at 781. The uptrend is so healthy and strong we are going to test 800 soon.

With altcoins is too much of a gamble, you never know if you are buying a dip or you are buying in a never ending lowtrend towards infinite stagnation....
1750  Economy / Speculation / Re: 778 resistance broken, 779 hit, time to fly!! on: December 13, 2016, 03:52:12 PM
As expected, as soon as we crossed the 778 resistance, we tested 793.3, almost 800. We saw a correction, smart people bought the dip and are now back on track with extra BTC. We are now sitting comfortably above 778, 781 right now. Looks really good. Next test for 800 begins soon. Prepare yourself and remember to wear a helmet.
1751  Economy / Economics / Re: Mining coins save or sell it? on: December 13, 2016, 03:49:55 PM
Sell all mined altcoins for bitcoin, this is the best strategy right now. I knew a guy that had a small humble mining farm and was making steady gains be mining ZCash nonstop and selling at market price for BTC. That is why the price of Zcash keeps going down combined with the constant inflation. It is overvalued so miners find a profit for BTC.
1752  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What will happen if Tech Giants get into Bitcoin or Altcoin Mining? on: December 13, 2016, 03:44:39 PM
What will happen if Tech Giants Like Google, Microsoft, Amazon starts investing in Bitcoin or Altcoin Mining?

If they did it right (developing new generations of ASIC's and running them in places with low energy costs), the diff would probably rise even more than it already did, forcing some smaller miners and miners with relatively high energy rates to stop mining.

For the rest, not much would probably happen, unless they suddenly added a ton of hashrate to the network one week, and took everything offline a couple months later... In this case the average time between two blocks would first be smaller than 10 minutes untill the next readjustment, then when they took their farm offline it increase drastically untill the next readjustment (every 2016 blocks)

It will be very, very difficult to keep developing ASICs that are better than past generation by the magnitude of order we have been seeing in the past few years. This video by Andreas A is very useful in understanding this fact.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2-fUosBOu58

What I don't get is, it will always be way cheaper to do it in china than in the rest of the world due electricity low prices... so how can we end china's monopoly in hashing power while this continues being the case?
1753  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Ballon d'Or discussion and odds on: December 12, 2016, 03:09:21 PM
I think Messi has better statistics by looking at the plain numbers.

Cristiano Ronaldo - 51 goals / 17 assists

Leo Messi - 56 goals / 32 assists

Looking at this, the assits from Messi are way more effective than Cristiano. Cristiano got also 4 less goals, and 15 less assists, that is a lot less.

But Cristiano has the most titles, hes got the Euro 2016 which is very important...

I think he will win, and there will be controversy, specially after the tax avoidance scandal.
1754  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC 206: Holloway vs. Pettis Prediction and Info Thread on: December 12, 2016, 02:46:43 PM
I made some money by betting on a Cowboy Cerrone win and it seems like I did the right thing. It was the only guy that I was familiar with, the rest of the guys didn't ring any bell for me on this card. I will wait until december 31 to gamble again in the Rousey-Nunes fight which should have a massive price pot. The problem is, I cannot decide who to bet a win for. Both are very good competitors..
1755  Economy / Speculation / 778 resistance broken, 779 hit, time to fly!! on: December 12, 2016, 02:29:20 PM
The last 778.something resistance from a couple of days ago before the dip to 743 was broken in the past hours. Now if you step back and take a look at the graphic you'll see that we have been going up for months now with a very healthy looking lateral uptrend. This is looking really good gentlemen, so get ready to buy as much as possible during any potential dips because we are going 800s soon.
1756  Economy / Economics / Re: How many coins did you have during the rise? on: December 12, 2016, 02:22:30 PM
If you are talking about the big big rise to 1200 dollars, then I didn't had many, I didn't even had 1 full BTC because it was still very new to me. I wasl ucky to wait until it went to 250 ish to buy more, I spent months buying at 250, so now im ready for when we go 2000+ again which will be in 2017 100% guaranteed at this rate.
1757  Economy / Economics / Re: Paper bitcoins. Is it worth it? on: December 12, 2016, 02:11:05 PM
Maybe it will be a good idea as a transitional model to full blown digital only scenario, because old people are too dumb to deal with technology and they only understand coins and bills, so we could make some sort of printed bitcoins but they could never be outside of the blockchain, otherwise you create the same problem all over again within the bitcoin ecosystem.
1758  Economy / Economics / Re: If bitcoin price is $10.000, will fiat be worthless? on: December 12, 2016, 01:38:12 PM
Fiat will not be worthless no matter what, as long as people accept it, it doesn't matter inflated it is, so when Bitcoin reaches 10,000 dollars in a couple of years, fiat will still be accepted by people, therefore it will still have value, we don't know what value that will be, but some.
1759  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is Gambling a Crime in your religion ? on: December 11, 2016, 05:29:40 PM
I don't follow any religion so it's up to me to decide if gambling is good or bad (there is no sin or no sin logic in my mind only good or bad). For me it's neither good or bad, it's neutral. It depends on how you deal with it. If you do casually and don't go overboard with it, it's good, but if you go insane and don't stop doing it, it's bad.
1760  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What are your favorite gambling games? on: December 11, 2016, 05:22:08 PM
I want to start learning how to play poker and go on the online casinos first, then start going into the real life casinos because online poker is boring compared to the real life situation of playing it with real people. Also I am paranoid that if I plan poker online i am going to get scammed by cheaters, lots of poker bots these days and it pisses me off the idea of losing money to a cheater.
Why not try on www.faucetgame.com/poker
No deposits allowed. Yet, you can earn real bitcoin.

I want to learn first so I must see some videos, maybe some books but I get too bored reading books, so I will see if in youtube I can find some decent tutorials in how to become a good poker player from scratch. But my goal is to play in casinos not online.
