Scotland now two goals ahead...
-snip-
Epic result and a disastrous defeat for Spain with all respect to Scotland team and how good they did to beat Spain badly!

Edit: Turkey 0-2 Croatia  Smiley
Turkey should pressed to get a point from Croatia but they failed after all. With Wales victory vs Latvia today they passed to the second place and Turkey to the third one.
The fight between these three teams will continue and the result of every single game will count since there will not be a big difference in terms of points by the last match tho

This round there is two interesting matches between top teams which are : ATM - Betis and Villarreal - Real Sociedad.
Well for the first game, ATM are playing home and are favourite. The stability of the two teams is comparable with a slight advantage for ATM regarding their latest games.
In the second match, Villarreal are a little bit favourite as far as I saw in bookies even though Sociedad is a serious opponent and the result is quite hazardous in this match in my opinion.

Sometimes I wonder why this player plays so well at their club side but when they come for the national team they perform like overfed chickens instead of flying like the eagle their claimed to be, this is not the first time Nigeria's super eagles have messed things up for our national football and I know this will not also be the last time there will disappoint us.

-But the way to solve this issue is as hard as ways to solve Chelsea's underperforming issues also because both teams have the same similar problems facing their performances.
Having big names without the needed coherence between them will create a partially dysfunction team. They can win obviously but they cannot advance a lot. This is the example of many national and domestic top teams.
Today, Cameroon lost with 2 goals to 1 vs Namibia which is quite surprising for me. Egypt and Guinea switched position in their group. Ivory Coast (almost) claimed back the first position.
1744  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: March 28, 2023, 08:39:22 PM
In probability I think Lazio is still ahead of Monza. Of course you can still consider a draw for this match because Monza is playing at home, but Lazio's performance seems more promising to win.
Lazio is better for sure but they are fluctuating a lot so better to be cautious. Monza made good surprise for some better teams. The outcomes of the game is on Lazio side but we shouldn't underestimate Monza a lot.

My focus in Serie A is Napoli vs Milan which will be held at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium. It was the first Champions League pre-leg match between the two teams, of course it attracted a lot of attention. I think Napoli are the favorites to win but Milan will have to try something to keep their chances of staying in the top 4.
In 2 weeks, Napoli will have to face Milan three times, twice in home and once in San Siro. Odds for the Serie A and 1st leg Champions League games are in favour of Napoli. Milan will have hard time defying it since the overall performance of Milan dropped considerably comparing to the beginning of the season.

There will be some interesting matches to come but the hottest match will be bayern vs dortmund. This will become a very important match caused by it's gonna be the debut of bayern under a new coach thomas tuchel.
Yes, the match between Bayern vs Dortmund is an interesting match to watch. Because this match can also determine the position of the standings. Only 1 point difference between Bayer and Dortmund.

But Bayern must also think about the UCL match which will take place on April 12. Players must play softer to reduce the risk of injury.
Indeed Bayern - Dortmund is the most interesting match to follow after the World Cup break. Useless to say that it might be crucial to determine the first position holder but also to test Tuchel touch after signing the contract with Bayern.
For the Champions League match, there is enough time between the two and Bayern could play with full squad but I agree they have to reduce injury risk while trying to win that Bundesliga game. Odds are in favour of Bayern and I think they will win too.

Making money like this as an organization is not a trouble, it is what you should be aiming at and they are doing the right thing about that part. The issue is doing it in illegal ways, like we all know for a fact that Qatar bribed fifa to do it, and even though it had one of the best finals of all time and got so many views, that doesn't change the fact that it was a shame and definitely looked terrible for most of the organization.

We should be looking towards having some sort of culture that has real football in it to do it. I know that looks like a bad way of saying "west should do it" because west has better football organizations, but africa has it too, and that is not west, I wouldn't be against doing it in africa, or even asia has some great teams, but not Qatar. I am not even in favor of USA, sure they are doing better lately, but they do not have the culture for it.
I might not understand what you said very well but what's mean USA doesn't have the culture for it?
USA already hosted the 1994 version of World Cup and although the lack of popularity, at the opposite of the American rugby, that version broke many records at that time.
Nowadays, things are different, since soccer gained some popularity especially when the people see their team fighting very good in the last version of World Cup in Qatar.
BTW Qatar was accused of the bribery thing but nothing was proved yet? No? Is it hard to detect how they paid them? I don't know but when I see many criticism about workers rights and I read some bad behavior of the other nations such as France regarding their own workers in Paris 2024 Olympic games, I wonder if that is jealousy or political thing more than real thing. I don't know, just asking questions.

There are many useless players that are being paid a fortune for doing nothing. Some of them being the whole time injured, others don't care and some of them lagging in performance. Thus said, even some coaches are doing nothing serious to some clubs and we wonder how long could the fans support before the owner take the decision to make a change. There is some quality managers that are available and others soon. I don't know if they contacted Zidane, I assume he will refuse BTW, but there is rumors about Chelsea hunting Nagelsmann along with Spurs.
Nagelsmann is reportedly a Tottenham fan but since he didn't take the decision to join them immediately after Conte departure then I assume he is studying the available offers.
Chelsea have enough money and players. They need to find a good manager to make a clean recovery of the team.
1748  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: March 27, 2023, 09:07:41 PM
I think senior club managers can also make mistakes.  I am curious about Thomas Tuchel's performance like everyone else.  Despite Nagelsmann's not bad statistics, his brutal dismissal from the club even took place in the world press.  Many sports commentators said they found it pointless.  I hope Tuchel draws a good graph from Nagelsmann.
That was indeed brutal and happened suddenly when no one see it coming that fast. I believe most people expect him to be sacked if Bayern lose Bundesliga title or get kicked from Champions League. That wasn't the case obviously that's why everyone is talking about it.
Bayern have high standards and when they see a bad trending they just cut it off without much hassle. Poor Nagelsmann, he didn't deserve that but I assume he expected it at any moment. This doesn't mean that Tuchel will get green lights to do whatever they want or an immunity from being sacked, it all depends from the results.

Finally, they won the match. This has put a  smile on my face because I thought that they will mess the game up. Moses scored with  PK,which has given Nigeria victory over Guinea Bissau

An away win, shows that they took this game serious. Nigeria players are stronger than Guinea Bissau and this is why I wasn't happy with their lost at home. I am looking forward to the next match which is between Nigeria and Seria Leone. This match should be taken serious by the players and let them not ho and fill relaxed because they won today's match.
Nigeria took the revenge from the defeat they got from Guinea Bissau by the same score 1-0. They are currently in the first position in Group A with 9 points followed by Guinea Bissau with 7 points. Nigeria is able to finish in the first place in my opinion.
So far I see all classic good nations in football topping their group except Ivory Coast in the second position in Group H since they still lacks a game comparing to Zambia

My eyes are hurting when I watch the Netherlands play against Gibraltar. Seriously, this is one of the worst teams they ever had together with the worst coach. When you lose the first game 0-4 in the qualification and then Gibraltar is coming to your home stadium and also receives a red card at the beginning of the second half, how can you only score 3 goals as the Netherlands against Gibraltar? Anyone who watched the game at least partially, they have no ideas, no dynamic game, no creative positioning, nothing. If they play like this until 2024, they have no chance. That was one of the worst games I have seen from them so far.
I didn't watch that game but from the France - Netherlands game and seeing how bad Netherlands lost, you understand quickly that we are seeing a different team that we used to know... It is true Netherlands won with 3 goals to 0 but that score against Gibraltar which is playing with 10 players for almost the whole second half, is just ridiculous.
I agree that with the actual performance they cannot go far although its group isn't that hard if we don't count France.
1751  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: March 26, 2023, 11:00:29 PM
I think Manchester United will win the match, Marcus Rashford has to just turn up on his goal scoring boots. New castle have been on a decline recently, especially with their defense, which was one of their strong positions a couple of months back when they reached top 4 in the EPL table. On the attack, Alexander Isak seems to be so promising and I expect him to continue replicating his form.
Just wanted to say that odds are better for Newcastle than Manchester United. Maybe they took on consideration the home advantage? Because I don't see any other explanation since Man United won in 3 and got a draw in 2 of their last 5 games. Man United has a better ranking, performed well so far apart from Liverpool disaster.
1752  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ UEFA Euro 2024 in Germany ⚽ - Qualifiers on: March 26, 2023, 10:55:15 PM
So far, from the beginning of this qualifiers, 10 matches ended with a score bigger than 3 goals to 0, without counting those with the opponent team scoring a goal or more. Interestingly there is respectable teams like Netherlands that happened to be with the other weak, very weak in fact teams.
I don't know if I could say that Portugal was lucky to be in a group containing Luxembourg and Liechtenstein. Starting the competition with 2 victory, scoring 10 goals without receiving any is something optimistic for the nation. Even the other teams in that group aren't that dangerous for them.
1753  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: March 26, 2023, 10:45:41 PM
But if later Milan manages to beat Napoli in the quarter-finals, this will obviously be a very extraordinary surprise because they are not the favorite now. Indeed it will be very epic, it's just that many don't expect too much because with the current conditions it is clear that Napoli have the upper hand and I still believe they are the strongest candidate for the final compared to Milan.
I tend to separate Champions League games from domestic league results since both can go in a separate ways and the underdog could beat the favourite team.
Napoli is indeed in its best shape if not the best since many years while Milan is in its worst period and fighting to secure a Champions League spot next season if not any European competition spot. Odds aren't that big between them in San Siro but what I believe to happen is to see a match without a big goal difference between the two.
1754  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: March 26, 2023, 06:45:55 PM
Barcelona's 2-1 victory over Real Madrid was the final blow in their battle for the championship. Still, I find it anything but convincing what Barcelona has shown in this season. We now have exactly the 6 best teams in Spain in the top 6. After Real Madrid and Barcelona, they are all teams that are not much inferior to each other, although Atletico Madrid is the most appealing name of this group. Sevilla should be among them but has performed so poorly this season that they are not among the 6 best teams in Spain. Cause is still unknown.
Sevilla objective this season is to get out of the risky zone around the relegation zone, nothing more. Valencia place is wrong this season too. The other 6 top teams places in the ranking are correct in my opinion with Barcelona and Real Madrid could switch position if ever Barcelona start losing several games on raw, something that doesn't seem to happen. The other possibility is a sanction the Juve way, but I doubt it will occur.

Wrong topic and there was an unexpected result there

https://football-italia.net/dybala-disappointed-with-reaction-from-juventus-fans/
Juventus have been accused of many shitty deals in the past including money laundering which the team had tp be sanctioned and face a 15 points deduction in the league this season. I am not surprised reading of this news either. I think the FA and every other body regulating the game should put strong watch of clubs and their affairs and effectively enforce the rules and regulations so that clubs like Juventus, Barcelona and every other club allegedly involved in shitty deals will be sanctioned and tamed.
Sanctions are made in a weird manners. You have the feeling that some teams are more immune from it rather than the others. Obviously Juventus is a team where sanctions are imposed easily. Barcelona had a lot of suspicions around but they were safe until now, we will see if they will be sanctioned now since they were almost busted. City and PSG are less likely to be blamed.
1756  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: March 26, 2023, 06:29:40 PM
Maybe Tuchel would really be better for Bayern Munich in every way. But I still think that attitude against Nagelsmann was unfair. They could have at least waited for the end of the season before making such important decision.
~
I agree with Pulsar77 about the timing. Mid-season isn't the best time to switch the management and players will require some time to get used to the new coach strategy. What might be good, is the international break. The advantage of having a week before the next game rather than 1-2 days is important. There is also 2 weeks to prepare the team before facing City in Champions League.
Otherwise, Bayern players are professionals and I assume they will get used on him fast.

Spain beat Norway 3-0. Spain, who put pressure on their opponent from the first minutes, scored with olmo in the 13th minute. In the second half of the match, which continued in the same way, they won the match 3-0 with the goals of joselu in the last minutes.
In the other match of the group, Scotland defeated Southern Cyprus 3-0. It must be said that they played a beautiful and dominant game in the first half. They closed 1-0 ahead with the goal they found in the first half. Scotland, who found 2 more goals towards the end of the second half, won the same score with Spain.
Same score but the two games difficulties is totally different. Norway is way better and difficult than Cyprus. Spain played well and managed to score 3 goals without receiving any from Norway.
In the other match, Scotland was favourite since Cyprus is weaker.
Croatia 1 - 1 Wales was interesting result but painful result for Croatia since they dominated the game then received a very late goal Undecided

More rumors about Conte out.

The (now) ex coach of Bayern is the most wanted coach for Spurs.
It seems that the news of Julian Nagelsmann's dismissal has spread to England and if Spurs have a target for Conte's replacement, I think Nagelsmann is a good coach candidate, especially now that Spurs really need a replacement coach, after Conte's scathing criticism last week made his position as coach threatened to be fired . But on the other hand, it seems that Nagelsmann does not want to rush to determine his coaching career and seems to prefer until this season ends to accept offers from other clubs.
Media are talking about the possibility of seeing Nagelsmann in Tottenham Hotspur. Spurs are willing to sign a contract with him and it is up to Nagelsmann to accept or refuse the offer. For the moment, it was mentioned that he is taking some time to think about the whole situation but I assume that he is looking for the available offers to decide where to go. Spurs, the team we know, might not enlighten his career...
1759  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: March 25, 2023, 05:12:15 PM
After securing his first win in the last 5 matches, now Atalanta will play away to Cremonese next week. Since their first victory over Empoli last week with a score of 2-1, Gasperini's squad has been even more motivated to achieve consistent wins in the future. But the cremonese are not quite easy opponents, considering they beat Roma at the beginning of last March, as well as achieving draws against Monza and Torino. Even though Cremonese are currently at the bottom of the relegation zone standings, Atalanta must not underestimate it and must anticipate all things that are not desirable. At least Atalanta must be 2 goals or more ahead to secure 3 points in this match.
Cremonese isn't that good team to scare Atalanta and at worse a draw might occur if Atalanta didn't find a way to score.
Juve will benefit the most from points loss of Atalanta so they can get closer from them once they win vs Verona. Both Juve and Atalanta will play against teams in the relegation zone, Verona might be a bit better than Cremonese tho

Bayern Munich isn't a normal team to accept its position or the fact of passing PSG in Champions League then risk to fail next or even lose Bundesliga title.
Bayern lost 3 games and got 7 draws in total in Bundesliga this season with 9 matches left so their stats might become worse..
Once someone take the management of Bayern, he knows that failure isn't an option there.
