Does it use the same or less power as well as being less buggy?

Small Update:

Considering changing the chip from the Coindesk A1 to the upcoming ASICMiner chip. There are issues with the A1 that will make it difficult to reach the full 40GH/s turbo performance.
1762  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [In Stock - Free Shipping] AntMiner U1 USB STICKS - US/Canada .042 unit on: March 03, 2014, 10:29:03 PM
Ok Let me know I want 2 please if you have any left.

OK I think I'm close to being out -  let me pause this for a few hours, get a real count and get all the orders processed and shipped.
1763  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Introducing OneString miners on: March 03, 2014, 05:38:00 AM
Are you also going to have the USB Hex-Fury available soon as well?
I had just PM'd intron about them.
They would sell well I could imagine with the low power requirements.

Cool I snagged it from you.
A block finally.  Grin
Good news.  I hope it levels out soon.

Block at last !

That is funny where did you get it?

Google

1766  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] MemoryCoin | CPU Coin | Paid Dev Team | Limited Supply [MMC] on: March 03, 2014, 03:58:26 AM
I think too many people equated them as the same or connected.
This just gives me the opportunity to buy more MMC at Bter.

The descent in price of PTS is dragging the MMC ?

Probably. It's irrational cause if I remember correctly MMC has nothing to do with BTS, but seems like their prices are affecting each other
1767  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bter Points BTR? What to do with them?? on: March 03, 2014, 03:56:46 AM
That being said I should talk to my sister-in-law wednesday.  She is from china and lives up the road.
She has been teaching me some Chinese to go along with what I picked up at my past job but I still cannot read it all.
Only problem is she does not like tech stuff much other than her skype to talk to her parents and friends.  Undecided
1768  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bter Points BTR? What to do with them?? on: March 03, 2014, 03:54:27 AM
Ah that makes sense.
The owners of the company I worked at for 12 yrs were from Taiwan and China.
It sounds allot like when vendors would call and did not want to talk to me, the Service Dept Manager/Systems Admin or the Sales Manager, they wanted to talk to the owners.  Things would get worked out but the fact that we ran the company and had to sit in on the calls to give information was crazy.  LOL

Can you translate that to english for us please?

That is odd.
I did not get any points a few days ago for my trades either.
I hope it is temporary.  I like BTer because it supports some coins that don't get traded elsewhere.

Anybody know what happened bter points ? Some days ago trade disabled.  :-(

yup same. Maybe they are fixing the problems.

I QQ Message them and they stated it was only with CNY or BTC trades. But I had many trades that dealt with the two and was stuck at no Bter Points. Guess I wasn't the only one with problems.

I can translate that for you Smiley

Are you chinese? If yes, leave your qq messenger username. We can be friends, and we can discuss the forums and new coins together.

I do have a question that even a google search cannot seem to help me with.
The difficulty settings should I adjust them up or is leaving them default the best way to go?
1770  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [5500 TH] BTC Guild - Pays TxFees+Orphan+NMC, Stratum, Private Servers on: March 03, 2014, 03:34:15 AM
We are good.
It will level out again.  Smiley

At BTC Guild's current shift length and the network difficulty, the AVERAGE blocks for a shift (once closed) is between 10 and 11.  This means if the pool has a really long block, you can see 5-8 of the most recent open shifts with 0 blocks.

Right now we're at a little under 6 hours without a block.  Not exactly hard to believe, that's only ~6x difficulty, something which happens at least once a month (probably more).
1771  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [5500 TH] BTC Guild - Pays TxFees+Orphan+NMC, Stratum, Private Servers on: March 03, 2014, 03:33:31 AM
It looks like ghash has been getting a majority of them the last 6 hrs.
Our luck will change and eventually variance will bring it back to us.

Add to that sheer variance has been killing us the last week or so it adds up to a long time between payouts.
At least he is not solo mining with only 2 th/s then there would be no chance for anything.
I'm like you I only have 100 gh/s I cobbled together over time.  I just do not have the money to buy anything else.

I'm mining with 2Th/s
and no blocks in the last 5 shifts whats going on !!!!!!!!!!!

I have had bad luck before but this is very strange

The current network hash rate is about 1000 times what you've got and the difficulty is now ridiculous, so not having any blocks with 2TH is nothing to cry about.  You could be like me and mine for shares because you couldn't afford a 2Th unit and never in your entire mining career hit a block.  I figure anything is better than nothing and at this point the only point to mining is the fun of it.  There will be no way to make a profit unless you're a pool operator, like Eleutheria,  or you're selling mining equipment.  Those are THE only two ways to break even or make profit within the mining aspect of bitcoin.  If you want to make bitcoin, make something that people are willing to pay bitcoin for and sell that shit.

im sure that in one of these shifts there must be a block !!!!
If I don't get anything then there is no point in mining BTC any more

I don't think the heatsinks are going to be any bigger than red furies or bifuries from the looks of it.

I do however recommend this hub and razorfishsl as a seller.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=413406.0
This hub is a beast.  It is solid and powers everything I throw at it.  I even overclocked my BiFury to 6.3 gh/s stable.  I did clock back to 5.8 gh/s though just due to heat on the unit not lack of juice from the hub.
1775  Economy / Goods / Re: [ANN] Got a craving for sweets? Satisfy it with Sweetbits! on: March 03, 2014, 03:02:40 AM
I won't.
I got scammed twice this past week for a total of .13 BTC when you include this deal.
It's not been a good week.
This one was a risk I knew, but the other was trusted with many sales under his belt.
Not happy here.

no point even calling; it could be fake number to build trust

Could buy one from MinerSource they have a setup deal so your Ant will be setup and tested before it ships.
1778  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Hacking a BFL Jalapeno to 32GH and beyond....(???) on: March 03, 2014, 12:47:29 AM
I was part of the Fire Protection unit during my summer off from college at a PaperMill.  We had an electrical fire it bizarre to say the least.  Hair standing on end in my turnout gear trying to get around it to cut the power while it melted the steel frame to a multi-ton dryer unit.  Not fun.
I can imagine the plasma bolts you saw on the other one were spectacular.  Run, Run!!

Sounds like you might need a fire suppression system in your work room.

I do have a fire extinguisher, and yes when I saw the first fireball I thought "grab the extinguisher". But this was merely a 12 volt, 2 amp mini fire, not a 300v 10,000 amp one. With a 300 volt fire (or a 36v fire if you have several thousand amps of power) you literally throw the fire extinguisher *AT* the IGBTs so that it's mass will blow the parts far way enough that the plasma arc will go out.

Been there, done that.

So the unit stayed on the heat plate (which is all about heat) till I was able to dig the fire out.

Update: The fireball is now hashing away at 5gh. Bit slow, but I have seen worse.

What did I do? Why dig out the fire, like a coal mine fire. Literally, I dug through the board substrate, removing layers till I got rid of the ground plane for the right side FETs. Then removed all the caps in the region, removed the right side choke, and fired up the unit.

Came online with the left side FETs. Put heat sinks on the FETs to control temps, put a big fan on pointing *DOWN*, and it's hashing away at 5gh.

Yes, anything can be fixed if you have enough insanity. But still the little fires were pretty.

And no, I am not turning my back on this one. It will go into the museum of weird stuff.

Feel better soon.
It's been a cruddy winter for getting sick.

Daily update, 3-2-2014
Current SVN revision: 275

Today I started a round of verifications and general code cleanup.  I'm going through all currently supported exchanges and doing a full functionality verification, as well as general code cleanups.  This is a bit of a tedious process but is coming along nicely.
I also contacted a few more exchanges today about adding certain features to their API that will allow auto-adding of new currencies and markets as soon as they are added to the exchange.  No huge deal if they don't add the features, it just means that I have to enter new trade pairs into the database manually as they appear.
So far everything is looking good on the timeline for testing and full release dates.  There is going to be a huge push this next two weeks on the interface and frontend services.

I'm going to go lay down now, I haven't been feeling good all day.  Just wanted to post a quick update before I got off of here
