1761  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: New to bitcointalk? Small advice to you. on: April 07, 2023, 03:22:51 PM
According https://www.zerogpt.com/ OP seems 91% is suspected/generated through AI/GPT tools Grin
Anyone can make this try...(reading the text I was seriously surprised for some errors/basic stuff...) Of course I don't know if this has been realized with an AI tools... but however another small advice should be something:
Avoid using AI/GPT Tools for your post unless clearly stated/or using quotes!!!
1762  Economy / Gambling / Re: Enough to consider a casino scam? on: April 07, 2023, 03:02:06 PM
Hi friends, I have some questions for you guys about online casinos

What will you do if you don't know that a online casino will ask you for KYC after winning over 8,000$ on the platform? And you now manage to process with the verification and they failed to pass you? Can you consider such a casino a scam?

Also, imagine you get attracted to an online casino because of the bonuses they offer and you open an account and make your first deposit then you didn't receive the promised bonus, is this an act of scam or not?

I am trying to solve such an issue for someone very close to me and that the complaint he gave, I have no answer than maybe the bonus was canceled already before he made the deposit or there was a minimum deposit requirement.

Any other reasons?

What says their ToS? Most of the times... they can avoid to pay bonuses or reject KYC.
Regarding this last point, if they are not able to confirm KYC it should be clearly stated why and what is wrong just to fix the issue... however I will pay attention to provide documents, if you're not really sure of their reputation.
Most of the times casino's are using a third party vendor so it's something possible the issue is not linked directly to them.
1763  Economy / Collectibles / Re: POLL- What to do with auction proceeds for ScamKey victims on: April 07, 2023, 02:23:42 PM
We should set up a private group in discord, with only invited members of all those affected.

We've been looking into exactly which laws Yogg has broken. There are a few which can be pretty hefty.

Now it's about getting the police involved.

Ok inform the police (hopefully they understand something about the btc topic).
But is there a legal contract or agreement in which coldkey/yogg "guaranteed" the nature of the keys or would not swipe them?
How many are the real probabilities that he can repay this theft (if it can be demonstrated in a court from a legal point of view...)? How long does it take? How much would be a lawyer's fee / various degrees of judgment cost... in the end what would you get?
if he doesn't have a criminal record, he certainly won't go in jail...
It is much easier for him to be prosecuted for unpaid loans than for such a scam Roll Eyes
1764  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bidcent: Decentralized, safe and uncheatable multiplayer financial battle arena on: April 07, 2023, 02:12:55 PM
just my suggestions...  but the interface is too essential and I didn't find a detailed guide...
why not provide some tutorials or provide a youtube video that explains how to use it?
moreover, why not launch some free campaign for bitcointalk users so we can make our tour on the site and understand better how to use it?

1766  Economy / Gambling / Re: Past Experiences with histakes.io ? on: April 06, 2023, 08:24:56 PM
no I have not experience with gambling bets in "histakes.io" and this is the first time that I heard about them... I can't know if they are legit or not...
For what I have seen @ligz you had often such issues with sportsbetting, I have counted 4/5 topic related this arguments and relative bookmakers Smiley
I hope that you get payed and this issue solved  Cool
1767  Other / Meta / Re: Who is the oldest user among forum still active? on: April 06, 2023, 08:17:17 PM
you can check https://bpip.org/Report?r=mostactivity where you can find people with most activity that more or less are people with oldest account.
also this rank allow to see a combination of users actually active/with highest activity.
1768  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Whitepaper Hidden in every Modern Copy of macOS on: April 06, 2023, 02:02:07 PM
The timing with which this news was revealed is pretty curious.
It's not just few days that WP is inside Macs... guys, do you really think it was a choice of apple as a company and maybe not a choice of a single programmer within their company?
1769  Economy / Collectibles / Re: POLL- What to do with auction proceeds for ScamKey victims on: April 06, 2023, 01:39:19 PM
ok option C can be an option suitable, but before proceeding I would carefully evaluate the costs and timing for such an action.
I speak from personal experience, but anyone dealing with a lawyer can confirm, the fees are very high literally for "everything" and if in the end it turns out "nothing, lieutenant" there is the risk that they will give him "a roll on the ears" and nothing more...
in the meantime a lot of time and money has been wasted....

1772  Economy / Collectibles / Re: yogg sweeping again - Playtoshi edition on: April 05, 2023, 05:39:58 PM
it's incredible that he continues to "re-discover" his old keys, and this means many things.
The first is that he doesn't regret what happened at all, he lied about the key back-ups (probably has planned well and it doesn't want a one-kind issue).
He was trying to build relationship and trust with many members of forum.
Much more important what it was defined as "Personal Problems" however temporary/not-expeted, instead seems to have a certain "frequency" Sad . Plus he destroyed a nice "brand" (and who knows probably also his vision of this hobby/free time).
Well, there is not much important as free time, and destroying a passion an inspiration is really a depreful act.

Whether it's gambling addiction, or drug addiction, it's best (always) to get to the "bottom" of these issues.
1773  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: April 05, 2023, 05:31:23 PM
several players will not be present at Monte-Carlo Masters... Felix AA, Nadal, Alcaraz... it would be a nice chance for players like Djokovic or Sinner.
But this time I am pretty sure Roll Eyes probably we will some outsider or middle rank take a good spot...

https://www.criptovaluta.it/64712/exchange-p2p-di-bitcoin-chiude-i-battenti-arrivederci-paxful

1780  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: April 01, 2023, 09:16:50 AM
WOW - what a win by Janick over Carlos in 3 sets, did anyone have Janick backed?

I watched the 2 minute highlights on Tennistv.com and OMG it looks like it was a cracking
match. Tie break in the first set and then the final two sets were definitively Janick's.

I think he has a real chance of taking the title against Medvedev and Medvedev will
probably be happier not to play Alcaraz....

unfortunately I didn't bet.
the risk/reward ratio was very high to me and then ... it was Friday evening Sad impossible to follow such an event and bet live (I Always bet live games).

the final victory can be there... Sinner here in Miami really played at the highest levels. among other things, beating a number 1 atp is not such a frequent event Wink
the final against Medvedev will be epic...
