181  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: [ANN] | Support Thread | Coins4Hash | Tomos Mining Refugees: This is For You! on: April 10, 2018, 07:29:04 AM
I need a monero7/cryptonight7 linux miner or when the c4h pool updates I'll loose some machines, do you know any? I'm using cpuminer-opt now but it looks like it hasn't added monero7 yet.

Any luck finding one yet?

I was hoping cpuminer-opt would be updated with the alogs but the developer doesn't seem to be willing to do it.

I think Xmr Stak would do, I hope I'll manage to compile it.

Any plans on adding monero7/cryptonight7 algos? Xmr Stak supports monero7 now: https://github.com/fireice-uk/xmr-stak/releases
I don't think so. CPUminer-opt doesn't supports huge pages, and main focus are other algos. We have some good CN miners, but much less, for example, Yescrypt miners, Lyra2z miners, etc. This miner supports and optimizes CPU mining for it.

Thanks for the answer.

Please read his post on march 10 2018, i think its on page 49

i will not spend m energy to answer separately to this shitty questions..
i will not pay from my pocket, my deposit is already sent to cryptopia so i must wait.  I am too tired from that complaining shits also i have no profit from these my projects, my total loss is more than 5000$ for now and i will stop losing money. Will pay that miners mined, nothing else. Be happy that i am offering so high payout rates and spending my valuable time to maintain my server for YOUR profit. This time i can easily spend to my family without stress, and you are complaining???  WTF

I can understand anger outbursts here and there when things don't turn out as hoped and expected. Trading is risky and margin trading with other's money is even more risky.

But from my point of view, this is the situation:

Should I go yelling scammer and offending? No because they are only 6$ or less, I go for it only when people take from me 100$+ Smiley

Still, I gave out hashes, I got nothing so far, so I think I don't deserve to get called an idiot for this, maybe just a naive.

Anche io avevo proposto di levare le signatures, ma secondo me non verrą mai fatto.
Se togli le signature thermos non campa pił. Qualche giorno fa ricordavamo l'incredibile ammontare di coins che ah avuto per lo sviluppo del nuovo forum;

6000?Huh  Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked
mamma mia... chiaro che a lui frega relativamente il futuro del forum, con quella cifra...

momento momento momento. 6 o 6000? gią 6 mi sembravano tanti.

Because of all the idiots that are not patient, Tomos is probably fed up with the project. If you guys remember one of his previous posts responding to one of the idiots, he said that he was doing this as a hobby and he wasn't making any money since he was paying 90+ percent of the mining to people and 10% was for paying the server costs. But people kept pushing because ya they are idiots, so there you go. Maybe people were just jealous so they wanted to boycot him, and then the ETN case was the tipping point. In any case it was great while it lasted. Thank you Tomos. Maybe when BTC price grows again you can show the middle finger to all the idiots and pickup where you left off. And to all the idiots, quick...somebody just dropped a penny on the ground, go pick it up! You gotta round up the dollar somehow. And if you are from another country other than USA, well read between the lines.

You definetely made me very curious with this post.

Who are those iditos you are referring to and how are they connected to Tomos81 stopping the payouts to the users mining with his service?
A while back Tomos was getting frustrated with people asking to be paid. And also with people saying he was a fraud because it was impossible that he was paying so much when other sites were paying much less. Therefore he said that this was his hobby to help people, and that he wasnt making any money since his money was made from other investments he had. I would say he just got fed up, i mean i would too.

I followed this topic recently, since I started mining here and I didn't see any abrupt explosion of anger or accusation for one, two even three weeks with no payouts. People were understanding that ETN was frozen on Cryptopia and patiently waited. When Cryptopia unlocked ETN from manteinance and still payouts were missing, than I saw people starting getting worried and a few (a couple of users, maybe three) called out for the scam.

Now, nobody mentally sane would blame 2 or 3 angry users for the failure of a mining pool operation in this context, I hope.

But, not only the operation may have failed, but the website nor the first post of the thread has been updated with information of the uncertainty of the payouts or the shutdown of the operation, so he may actually still gathering hashes. I find this not cool at all.

Bonusbitcoin looks the most extensive heavy javascript of the moon* sites to me, and often fails to load completely when one or more sctipt's hosts fail to load for whatever the technical or network reasons. When those issues occur, we only have to wait for them to fix themselves.
189  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: [Unofficial] Coinpot.co - new microwallet on: April 09, 2018, 10:53:40 AM
It makes sense to me - people love gambling. A tiny number leave with their pockets full, but usually, as the saying goes, the house always wins.

It's good, it helps the site staying alive.

a. The most recent version after the fork isn't the 2.4.2.?
b. Had a look in pools.txt. Shouldn't we add our wallet address after "SK_qSQgoe3NtQn8xmSxmtDW9.<<<OWN_ADDRESS>>>"?
c. The double reward starts from when?

a. he said 2.4.2 is buggy and crashes and he suggests 2.4.1. I'm using 2.4.2 with not issues by the way

b. own address has to be put after right after "SK_qSQgoe3NtQn8xmSxmtDW9. as usual. You are pasting your address there often, I hope not to lure newbies into pasting in their config to mine in your place, but I'm sure you're not.

c. From my understanding, it's already started.

how can i remove 2fa or change 2fa from my account i made factory reset and i lost my 2fa google app and now i cant login from another pc / phone and i cant disable it because support is not answer send them 4-5 times the past month nothing

You must use the fixed secret code that you saved when it was given to you when you first enabled 2fa. That's the only way. If you didn't save it, I don't think you will be able to access your account unfortunately.

...CUT...

There is an identical code inside the config.txt. I tried to cut this identical code from the config, but when I did the miner did not want to start.

The config for CPU and GPU are created automatically. I hope I didn't do any mistake.

Enjoy

Mmm I'd suggest to extract the new version in a new folder and use the setup wizard by answering the questions made by the executable. The config files with the latest version differ a bit, there is a new pools.txt now

If they kindly offer to roll 1 time per hour, nobody can't be blamed for rolling 1 time per hour, even if he manages to do it 365 days per year by disrupting his nervous system and family by putting alarms or team membering with unwilling brothers and sisters Cheesy

Understandably when bitmain announced they have new mining equipment for monero, many people were upset and afraid that bitmain would end up causing chaos and controlling the Minero network. So the developers decided they would change the proof of work every six months in order to prevent ASIC manufacturers from making miners on monero. However this just creates an alternative and more harmful form of centralisation. The Minero developers are saying that they can and will change the consensus rules whenever it suits them and the community seems to be conditioned into following the wishes of the developers.

Minero?  Huh

Thanks for help. Now, where xmr-stak storing config files (and why authors changed it?)? I asking because after answering for questions program not working.

At present time latest Xmr Stak (2.4.2) is this: https://github.com/fireice-uk/xmr-stak/releases/download/2.4.2/xmr-stak-win64.zip
Why authors changed the format I don't know, it depends on them choices, but often happens with a program update, nothing to be afraid of.
Is a simple zip file. Extract into a folder, for example D:\Miners\xmr-stak or make a folder in the Desktop and extract there.
Just be sure to put the folder into the exclusion list of Windows Defender because it may recognize it as a crypto-virus and put in quarantine and you won't be able to execute it. If you don't know how to add a folder to the list of excluded folders of Windows Defender, google it.

Xmr Stak stores configuration files (.txt) into its directory, that is the same directory where the xmr-stak.exe executable is.

Configuration files consist of:

- pool and wallet configuration in config.txt and pools.txt
- hardware configuration in cpu.txt (and gpu.txt if you have a graphic card).

if you want to restart first time install setup simply delete them all. For tomos and coins4hash the setup is almost identical except for the pool address of course with the ip and port and the username formatting.

The answers to the questions are:

http monitoring: 0 to disable or 3334 if you want to be able to access via browser localhost:3334 the info on current mining

coin to mine: cryptonight

pool address: ip and port of pool of your choice.

user: your wallet for tomos, SK_qSQgoe3NtQn8xmSxmtDW9.YOUR_FH_WALLET for coins4hash

password: x

use nicehash: y

use multipool: N

use TLS: N

I hope I remembered them correctly.
199  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in - Win free Bitcoins every hour! on: April 06, 2018, 10:44:22 AM
Gambling is entertainment for most people but for some people gambling is a job. Poker players mostly but also some sports bettors or horse races bettors.

You mean, for the idiots?

The categories of bettors people you mentioned aren't in any way comparable to web dice bettors. There is no TV, no sponsors, no bribes on web dice betting. Eg, I bet poker players get more from sponsors that from winnings.

Keep betting and you will lose everything. The fact that you are not able to make money from poker and that you are so narrow-minded doesn't mean other people can't make money playing poker.

I pay taxes on my poker profits every year since regulation was implemented into my country, and before I had profits every year but I didn't pay taxes. Few people, poker pros, have poker as a job but there are many others, known as regulars, that have it as a side job and gives them extra income. They have no sponsors and they don't appear on TV.

See how many people here appear on TV or get money from sponsors:

https://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/2/poker-news-amp-discussion/

In poker you're playing against other players, not against the house, so other factors come into play. I wouldn't compare playing poker (is it even regarded as gambling? I don't think so) with dice betting at all.

Hello,
My xmr-stak told me to update miner because of fork monero. How can I do this?
And second question: Why win10 after night has freezed desktop, and than work of xmr-stak on cpu is at half efficiency (and work at cuda stopped at all). I tried some solution from internet forums but they didn't work.
Greetings.

Download and install new version in a separate folder and redo all the config from scratch.
