How to Secure Bitcoins?

The best way to secure your bitcoins you need to become careful to someone who you give your password of your bitcoin wallet. I think if you want to become safe you don't need to give your password to anyone else that is the safest way because if money are talking about you did not sure to someone that you trust. Some people become jealous to some one who has a money so they need to become friends with you.
182  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Reasons why not to invest in bitcoin? on: May 03, 2018, 09:13:39 AM
So there has been a lot of hype about bitcoin lately and I know it is revolutionary and has lots of advantages. But let's try to state the reasons why exactly do you personally think that bitcoin is not great and lacks in some points. I know it has great applications and is just great but it is not falwless right?
My question is simple and straight, What are the flaws of bitcoin?
Except its high volatility and "Dark use" (in illegal activities).

The main reason why I don't invest here in bitcoin because of some scammers are being caught by the police and other investor here in bitcoin are complaining about their money that have been scammed. I thought the there are more scammers now in bitcoin so I would not invest here because I want to become safe my earnings or my money.
183  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why so many Bitcoin users have fear of governments? on: May 03, 2018, 05:07:26 AM
I can't escape to notice that many users here on forum have terrible rebbelious fear of governments. Like government is some evil devil that will destroy Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. But is this realy so, do such claims have any reasonable ground at all?

To my opinion the cause for something like that is again ignorance. I think that regulation that is mentioned in many countries is often mixed with centralization which is something that is not natural to Bitcoin because it's functioning totaly different than fiat currencies. Also some warnings to people that Bitcoin is volatile and risky investment that come from national banks are often interpretated as hostile behaviour towards Bitcoin and attempts to make people not to use it.

Is there any hope that Bitcoin users and governments will find the common language and help Bitcoin together to be more accepted in economy, especialy by businesses and to become more "legal" everywhere?

I think why some bitcoin users has been afraid to governments because they think that the government can destroy the bitcoin in their country, So their bitcoin are lost if the government ban the bitcoin in their country or destroy the bitcoin. I don't want to become ban the bitcoin because the bitcoin is my only source of income and the bitcoin help me to help my family in our daily expenses or daily needs.
184  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency education in high school on: May 03, 2018, 03:25:31 AM
This high school in New Jersey is already teaching its students about cryptocurrencies.

https://www.cnbc.com/2018/02/07/bitcoin-education-at-high-schools-and-colleges.html

For me, that's a good idea because some students is veterans if talking about is computer. I think some bitcoin users are students only and some of them is studying with bitcoin. For me, if the bitcoin teach in the high school students I think most of them become prosperous in their life. I'm also a student so if I need some money I withdraw in the bank and I don't want to ask for money in my parents. That's the reason why I used bitcoin to support my needs and to help my family in our daily expenses.
185  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will bitcoin destroy the world? on: May 03, 2018, 01:58:50 AM

Bitcoin mining is based on very high energy costs and environmental costs.

One bitcoin =20 barrels of oil.

How many barrels of oil do you think the industry consumes every year?

10 barrels? 50 barrel?

Each year, the mining industry consumes more than 24 terawatts of energy, the equivalent of 13,239,916 barrels of oil.

Every 10 minutes, 12.5 bitcoins are dug up, meaning 20 barrels of crude oil have been reached since each bitcoin was dug up (not yet traded).

In other words, the amount of energy consumed by the global bitcoin mining campaign is 40 times greater than the amount of energy needed to support the Visa card network.

One bitcoin transaction = one American family USES electricity a week.

According to encrypt the currency analyst Alex DE Vries estimate an index, the currency trading energy consumed each year more than 24 tw, this is equivalent to total energy consumed each year in Nigeria, which has a population of 186 million.

Currently, about 300,000 bitcoins are traded each day. Each bitcoin transaction costs 215 kilowatt-hours of energy.

The average American household USES about 901 kilowatt-hours of electricity a month, which means that each bitcoin exchange consumes enough energy to make an American family comfortable for a week.

What do you think about the energy consumption of bitcoin?

I think the bitcoin is the reason if the countries become mad to each other, because some country did not against to the bitcoin so some country thinks that country is enemy. Some country think that the bitcoin is illegal or are used by some terrorists to cover the other country. I want to know why some countries against bitcoin because the bitcoin is very powerful so I think the bitcoin can destroy each country because of the bitcoin.
186  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why are banks and governments scared of Bitcoin? on: May 03, 2018, 12:46:15 AM
So many countries now were prohibiting the use of virtual cryptocurrencies. And to think that many unemployed individuals were beginning to uplift their way of living because of their dealings with cryptocurrencies. Banks doesn't expressly say why it is banning the use of Bitcoin.
What do you think is the reason behind this?

I think because some governments and banks are being scared of bitcoin because they think that the bitcoin is not a good quaternary for them. Some banks think that the bitcoin is a scam because of some news that the bitcoin is has been scam. So some banks and governments against bitcoin or they afraid to have them a transaction with bitcoin.
187  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What makes Bitcoin valuable? on: May 02, 2018, 11:05:50 PM
Everyone in the crypto space has had people tell them that Bitcoin is worthless or that it doesnt have any true value.

Of course, thats infuriating to hear, but for investors new to the space, its sometimes hard to craft a good answer.

So heres a little cheat sheet for any newbies out there who get this question or accusation:

1. Bitcoin is safe.  It cant be hacked because its decentralized.
2. Bitcoin eliminates layers of transaction fees.
3. Bitcoin is fast (especially after the lightning upgrade).
4. Bitcoin provides more privacy than normal transactions.
5. Bitcoin hedges against stupidity from central banks and governments.
6. Bitcoin cant be counterfeited.
7. Bitcoin isnt tied to other asset classes and is a hedge against other investments.

In short, Bitcoin solves massive problems with the financial and political world, and that is its value.

And because its the most tested and has first mover advantage, it has been established as a store of value, much like digital gold.

188  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: When is a good time to buy? on: April 28, 2018, 10:16:54 AM
I bought a bunch BTC when it was $17000, then bought a bunch when it is $14000...then the price dropped until 2 days ago. I bought a bunch again when it was 6000ish...haha, now the price went up...so, really, when is it a good time to buy? When it dropped for a while and it rose a little bit, then drop again, then buy?

For me, the best time to buy bitcoin if the sales become lower and rise again. In that time you need to buy bitcoin to become your price bigger. If you want to earn more, you should hold it until the sales become bigger in that way you can earn more money
189  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: When you first know about bitcoin what was the price? on: April 28, 2018, 09:43:20 AM
bitcoin price is know over $11714.95 and growing,
share your knowledge/memory of the first time you know of the value of bitcoin was.
My first time knowing bitcoin it was valued at $200+. Smiley

When I was first know about bitcoin the price is very small. My friend bitcoin user his earnings is 200 pesos a month only, but now the price is very big. If you are a good handler of money you can expand it to become it bigger. You need to be smart in managing your money to become it bigger.
190  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What are some of the best sources of information on Bitcoin? on: April 26, 2018, 10:19:24 AM
Working on a school project and I'd like some great resources to help me with it. Important information I'm looking for is the 'advantages and disadvantages of Bitcoin'. I would prefer credible resources which I can cite in the project, books are great if you know any.

For me, the best sources of information on bitcoin are both bitcoin users. The bitcoin users is the best source of information on bitcoin because some bitcoin users is veterans in the field of bitcoin so we can ask them questions about bitcoin that our encountered word that difficult to understand. In other side the google and the articles about bitcoin you must read it to have a bitcoin information.
191  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Should I Be Scared Of Hackers If I Have Lot of BTC. on: April 26, 2018, 08:45:45 AM
I am hearing a lot of users' complaint about having a problem transferring their BTC, Nowadays I am not selling it because I am "Hodling" it for future. But I am a bit of scared now because all this news about the people's BTC being hacked.

What should I do If My wallet or BTC gets hacked?

For me yes. You should be scared of hackers if you have a lot of bitcoin because if the hackers hacks your account or your wallet they can get your money because they are trained in hacking operations. I think if you have a lot of bitcoin you need to be careful to care your bitcoins and to become safe your money for future rather.
192  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you mean when you say Bitcoin is number 1 on: April 26, 2018, 01:56:19 AM
We are entering an era of multiple digital currencies, and many of them will survive. Bitcoin is certain to be one of them, but it can't be number one for every factor. Where do you think Bitcoin will stay as number 1

  • Store of value
  • Services in addition to simple money transfer
  • Convenience
  • Security
  • Investment/speculation
  • Safe transfer speed
  • Privacy
  • Freedom from globalist control
  • Other

For me, If you say bitcoin is number one it means that the bitcoin is the powerful currency among the other currencies. My friend told me that the bitcoin is the best cryptocurrency because the sales of coins is bigger than other currency and the bitcoin is very powerful that's why the government cannot destroy the bitcoin. The bitcoin is so unstoppable.
193  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if the bitcoin was not invented what are we now ? on: April 26, 2018, 01:29:23 AM
I  Just want to know the different opinons of bitcoin miners
becasuse bitcoin can help us bitcoin can change the world

I think if the bitcoin was not invented I think my life is not prosperous now and not comfortable. I want to earn more money for my future in my family and to help my family in our daily needs or daily expenses like our bills or the rent of our house. So i'm thankful because the bitcoin was invented. I want to help other people with bitcoin.
194  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: can bitcoin govern the whole world? on: April 24, 2018, 04:44:31 AM
Nowadays bitcoin reach other countries and it is use in some transactions and very helpful in some country's economic.
What you can say?
Can bitcoin govern the world of business market, govern the world of every payments as it is moving to make it the future money.?

I think if all of the people in the world using bitcoin, for me the bitcoin can govern the whole world. I want to earn money so I want also to share my blessings to other by teaching them how to use bitcoin. The bitcoin is very powerful because of it's ability to give or earn money by some bitcoin users.
195  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Prediction bitcoin in the future on: April 24, 2018, 03:40:31 AM
How Is Bitcoin In The Future?
The number of altcoin that popping up sometimes for me to think how  bitcoin 10 years from now Huh Is it still exist or has been replaced with a new type of better currency ? Many altcoins can now be traded with local currency and other altcoins and are not fixated on bitcoins.
Question:
1. What is your Prediction ?
2. And what the reason ?

Maybe that's what I want to ask , hopefully the answer can answer the question in my brain. thanks  Smiley

I think the bitcoin in the future, the exchange of bitcoin in the market is difficult. The bitcoin now is falling so I think in 10 years from now the sales of bitcoin becoming lower, but my trust here in bitcoin not lose because I believe that the bitcoin will rise again. But it has a possibility to fall again because of the sales in the market and the transactions.
196  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is the most attractive concept about Bitcoin? on: April 19, 2018, 12:36:54 PM
I think the most attractive concept about bitcoin is that bitcoin is like a gold but you only mine it in computer and graphics card. Imagine the idea of that, solving mathematical algorithm to earn money, for thats the very attractive about bitcoin mining in different way.

For me, the most attractive concept here about bitcoin are the topic that difficult to understand. So that topic encourage me to explore here in bitcoin. I want my knowledge to increase here in bitcoin. I want to earn more money to help my family in our dalily needs or daily expenses. Many people attract to  bitcoin because of its benefits, because here in bitcoin you can earned money easier. So the bitcoin is very important to me.
197  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: You can actually buy a lot of things with Bitcoin on: April 19, 2018, 01:54:08 AM
Bitcoin is just a virtual currency, but it is used as real money to buy many things. There are many people who accept Bitcoin payments for items, including online stores and regular stores. Popular online stores accept Bitcoins including Newegg, Overstock, Microsoft, Dell and more.

In the United States, there are Reeds Jewelers, One Shot Hotels, Holiday Inn, and even pizza locations, restaurants and more. You can even use Bitcoin to buy addictive drugs, gambling, bullion, or even donate to charity. This is the reason why I like BTC.

Of course you can! It has a very wide span now and other apps and stores are allowing bitcoin to be the "money" as payment. It's less hassle and you don't have to cary you waller of paper money around. Besides being a good investment, it is indeed a nice way of payment.

Yes, i believed that if you have a bitcoin you can buy all your want. You can buy all things that you need and you can support your family in their needs. But it depends in your earnings here in bitcoin. If you have a better campaign it has a tendency to you to earn more money.
198  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: WHAT IF the GOVERNMENT wins over BITCOIN? on: April 18, 2018, 12:18:03 PM
If you don't know then let me tell you that Bitcoin is a decentralized currency. What this means is that no single party controls bitcoin meaning even if the governments ban bitcoin there are going to be nodes running and miners mining bitcoin all over the world and theres going to be at least one country who will be crypto friendly.

For me, if the government wins over bitcoin I become sad. Why? Because the bitcoin is my only source of income, as a student it is hard to earn money because i'm a student I don't have any work or job but here in bitcoin I considered it as my job.
199  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What are the biggest disadvantage of bitcoin ? on: April 18, 2018, 10:53:22 AM
The main disadvantage of bitcoin is its constant instability. We don't know how bitcoin will behave in a week.

For me, the biggest advantage having a bitcoin are, if you have a bitcoin you can control some people who wants money. You can buy all your want or all your need. I believed that if you have a money you can have a more friends and you can control them like my friend.
200  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How can we share our knowledge to the other people about bitcoin??? on: April 18, 2018, 08:52:09 AM
First of all, as I think, it is necessary to tell about cryptocurrency to all relatives and friends! If everyone make it, it will be a huge jump for cryptocurrency.

If I have a chance to share my knowledge about bitcoin to other people, I used the social media to share my knowledge in some bitcoin users that are begginers only. I create a group that only bitcoin users are allow to thay group, If they encountered a difficult topic they can chat in our group to ask all of the bitcoin user.
