181  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Btc mining or staking crypto? on: April 08, 2023, 03:46:36 AM
As we know, both mining and staking have their own risks and advantages. For example,  mining is relatively more secure since you own the tools and do the mining privately without an intermediary (we talk about independent mining, not mining pools), but it needs big resources like electricity and expensive tools and hardware. Moreover, there is a regulatory and legal issue for some countries, and you must be aware of that and always keep up to date. But, it actually has the potential for long-term value since mining is more decentralized and there won't be risks like being scammed by third parties (hosts). On the other hand, staking also has its own risks, such as lock-up funds, which mean you can't use your funds as you wish at any time you need them, and since it's kind of centralized, you need to be careful for the intervention of the stakeholder itself or the whales, who hold a significant portion of the staked funds and have a disproportionate influence on network governance and decision-making. However, compared to mining, you need less energy and hardware to engage in staking. It needs lower operational costs and is relatively easier to do than mining. Everyone could jump in without any sophisticated tools. Now, it is up to you. With this comparison, I wish you could choose which one is best for you.
182  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Another scam email attempt on: April 07, 2023, 04:22:51 AM
Upon entering the world of cryptocurrency, I realized that there are various scamming attempts targeting crypto users, ranging from emails asking for sympathy, offering prizes, or offering help. I've found this kind of email once, but I just read it in a flash since I actually never read any spam in my email that I've made special for crypto purposes and just directly erased it. So, I was shocked at the time and tried to get the email back but unfortunately couldn't, so I just ignored it. Thank God, nothing happened (and I hope it never will), so I assume that what I experienced back then is the same as this one.

I recently came across news of a new malware that can automatically empty crypto exchange accounts, which is a significant concern. It's evident that breaches and cyber attacks are inevitable, even on seemingly secure websites like Twitter, as I discovered when I checked my email on https://haveibeenpwned.com and found that my email had been compromised in a breach unrelated to cryptocurrency. This experience has highlighted the importance of being extra vigilant with password management and overall online security. It's crucial to use strong, unique passwords for all accounts, enable two-factor authentication wherever possible, and be cautious about clicking on suspicious links or downloading unknown software.

As cryptocurrency users, we must take proactive measures to protect our investments and personal information from potential cyber threats. Regularly updating our devices and software with the latest security patches, using reputable wallets and exchanges, and staying informed about the latest scams and best practices for online security are essential steps to keep our crypto holdings safe. In conclusion, while breaches and scams are prevalent in the online world, we can mitigate the risks by being vigilant, informed, and proactive in our approach to securing our cryptocurrency investments. Stay safe, everyone!

185  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: People mindset in Bitcoin on: April 05, 2023, 07:56:03 AM
I believe that statement may have been true in the early days of Bitcoin, when the market was more volatile and there were fewer participants. However, as Bitcoin has become more popular and more people have invested in it, the potential for quick riches has diminished. While there is still the possibility for significant gains in the long term, it is important to approach Bitcoin as a long-term investment and not as a shortcut to wealth. Additionally, the market has matured and become less prone to extreme fluctuations, so it may take some time before we see another rapid increase in Bitcoin's value.
186  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is it possible to get bitcoins for free? on: April 05, 2023, 07:46:37 AM
A few years ago, it was indeed possible to earn free bitcoin through various methods like playing games, watching ads and videos, and participating in airdrops. However, with the rise in popularity and value of bitcoin, it has become increasingly difficult to find legitimate sites or apps that offer free bitcoin. While there are some genuine platforms that offer rewards in bitcoin, it's important to be cautious and do proper research before investing your time or money. For instance, I was able to earn bitcoin a few years ago from a PPC website called adBTC, but I'm not sure if it's still legit now. So, always be vigilant and verify the credibility of any platform before engaging in any activity
187  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What can be the best way of controlling emotions while trading ? on: April 05, 2023, 07:41:08 AM
Controlling emotions while trading is essential for success. It's important to stay aware and not get caught up in FUD and FOMO. Develop a trading plan with specific goals, entry and exit points, and risk management strategies based on sound analysis, and follow it strictly. A stop-loss order can help limit losses by automatically closing out a trade at a certain price level. Taking a break when feeling stressed and overwhelmed can help clear your mind before making decisions. It's also helpful to manage your emotions by practicing mindfulness techniques like breathing exercises or meditation. Remember that emotions are normal, but keeping them in check is crucial for successful trading.
188  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: +0.54056624 BTC Scam mail on: April 04, 2023, 04:38:12 AM
Wow, I'm surprised there are people who fall into this trap. I mean, it's really an old way to scam. I knew about this even from the beginning, when I jumped into crypto. But, however, thank you for bringing this out, because that means there are actually people who don't know about it. I personally never respond to any email that comes in offering this kind of thing. As the saying goes, "If it's too good to be true, it probably is." I don't want to take a risk by opening one of them since so many emails came in to me. I've made a special email for crypto and never really touch it except for registering. Always be vigilant and careful in the crypto world, guys.
189  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: knowing the basic concept is enough for a beginner on: April 04, 2023, 04:27:35 AM
It's truly inspiring to hear about someone who is willing to put in the effort to improve themselves and their contributions to a forum. The fear of not having anything interesting or valuable to say is something that many people can relate to, and it can be especially daunting when you're in a community with other knowledgeable and experienced individuals. But, it could also motivate us to be better. The best way to overcome this fear and gain confidence is through reading and learning. By taking the time to read and research, we can expand our knowledge and understanding of the topics we're interested in, and use that knowledge to provide insightful and helpful contributions to the forum.

In order to bring good posts and insights to this forum, we need to invest in our own education and personal growth. By always learning and getting better at what we do, we can become a valuable part of the community and provide reliable information that can help others learn as well. So let's all take a page out of the original poster's book and commit to learning and growing as individuals. With dedication and effort, we can become more confident and skilled in our contributions to the forum and ultimately help each other achieve success in our respective fields. Cheers!
190  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Newbie: If trading isn't working for you, buy and hold. on: April 04, 2023, 04:12:36 AM
Hmm, I see "hold patiently" in your statement. Exactly—that's the key. Meanwhile, it's not easy to be patient in the crypto world since the pace is so fast. While patient people probably could be successful with this advice, many people jumped into the crypto world because they were attracted to the temptation of getting rich in one night. Besides, only those who aren't greedy could actually be satisfied with the profit they get (even if it's small); for those who are greedy, they want the biggest profit in the shortest time, which is sometimes unrealistic (although possible). If people want to get big profits from bitcoin, they need to hold it probably for 4 years (based on the history of the bitcoin halving that will bring us to the new bitcoin ATH).
191  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: This is crazy on: April 03, 2023, 07:09:09 AM
In the era of digital technology and the rapid development of technology, do people still believe this kind of prophecy? and they bring God to this? I'm speechless. I mean, can you people stop bringing God to fool people for your own advantages? If you want to bring people in, at least offer them some logical analysis. Why Shiba inu will arise again? for example, because of its initiative to build great new partnerships, etc. In my opinion, it's always important to invest in the right mind and base our judgment on a rational and logical mindset rather than blindly following someone's opinion (whether they invoke God or not), so we don't regret our decision and blame people who actually don't care about us when bad things happen.
192  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The bear market is your friend on: April 03, 2023, 06:54:10 AM
I think it takes patience, experience, and knowledge so we can surf the wave, because for newbies or even people who've been here long enough but are still affected by emotion when trading, it is not easy to know where the bottom is and to decide when we can take a profit. For some people, there is doubt about whether the cycle of crypto will occur as history did or not, whether crypto will still be the same profitable investing tool or not, and so on, and this could affect someone's judgement. However, I kind of agree with you: the bear market can be challenging, but it can also present opportunities for those who are prepared and have done their research. Investors can make smart decisions and possibly make money when the market turns bullish again if they carefully study the market and look for good projects.
193  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: A crypto world without CEXs...How would it be? on: April 03, 2023, 06:41:07 AM
I think we'll find a way, like we always do. For years, crypto has faced challenges from many parties, but we're still here to survive and thrive. Beside, at the beginning, crypto was meant to be decentralized, so it is actually all about P2P trading and, later, DEXs. Although there is no doubt that CEXs played a significant role in the development of crypto, If major countries reject crypto and blockchain technology, there could be a risk of CEXs shutting down their operations, but the crypto industry is not solely dependent on CEXs. With the massive development of crypto and how big the industry became, I think many countries will also think twice before banning it; they probably will regulate it instead. By doing so, CEXs could then adapt to the regulations and survive.
194  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's your opinion on the future of Decentralised exchanges on: April 02, 2023, 04:46:45 AM
I think DEXes have their limitations and potential risks, such as high slippage and scam projects. CEXes also have their own weaknesses. So, I believe the future of exchanges lies in hybrid models that combine the best of both worlds. These exchanges could offer the security and control of DEXes along with the speed and liquidity of CEXes. This could be an attractive option for traders who are hesitant to fully trust either type of exchange independently.
195  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: What makes Binance stay strong despite all FUD ? on: April 02, 2023, 04:38:38 AM
Binance is a major player in the crypto industry, known for its trustworthiness and diverse offerings. While recent accusations and inquiries may have raised concerns, Binance's proactive response and clarification of misconceptions have helped maintain market confidence. The market understands the importance of Binance's stability and reputation, which may be contributing factors to its strength. The crypto industry as a whole relies on the stability of major players like Binance, and it is likely that other parties are working to support Binance as well. Overall, Binance's ability to weather negative news and FUD can be attributed to its strong reputation and position in the market.
196  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: We are about to enter altcoin season, what do you think? on: April 02, 2023, 04:28:19 AM
Hmm, I think it might be, yes. But I'm still not really sure whether it's a calm before the storm (in a bad way) or if it's really the beginning of the alt season. Because I'm still holding onto my belief that before the bitcoin halving period (which is predicted to happen in 2024–2025), everything is still in sideways mode. However, I agree with your statement that the Altcoin season will follow after the stabilisation of Bitcoin's price or the decrease of its dominance score.
197  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: why people are always interested in altcoins on: April 01, 2023, 06:04:07 AM
In my opinion, cryptocurrency investors can be divided into two groups. The first group prioritizes investing in projects with a real utility case, credible teams, and good tokenomics, while still aiming to take profits. On the other hand, the second group invests based on hype, takes high risks, and may even invest in meme coins.

While investing in Bitcoin is considered safer than altcoins, its price is typically less volatile. Altcoins, however, can provide greater opportunities for higher returns, especially for traders. The first group of investors may only trust their money in Bitcoin, or they may invest in high-cap altcoin projects that are already stable and trusted. Meanwhile, the second group has a wider choice of altcoins to invest in. Ultimately, the reason for buying altcoins varies from person to person, and may be influenced by factors such as high pumping and unique use cases.
198  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Dead Coins on: April 01, 2023, 05:48:16 AM
Based on my experience since 2017 as an airdrop and bounty hunter, I have accumulated a number of dead coins. I remember coming across a project that offered to manage these tokens, where people could send them their dead coins and in exchange, they would receive the project's own tokens with the hope of increasing their value. However, this solution was not practical since it required sending the tokens to the project, which could be risky, and it also incurred gas fees.

As for managing my own dead coins, I have not done much with them since some of these tokens could be fraudulent or lead to scams. Therefore, I have chosen to leave them as they are and not invest any more time or effort into them.
199  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoin is controlled on: April 01, 2023, 05:20:32 AM
While many altcoins are correlated with bitcoin's price movements, it doesn't necessarily mean they are all controlled. Cryptocurrency markets are unique and influenced by a variety of factors, including news events and investor sentiment. Technical analysis can be challenging, but there are other indicators such as cryptocurrency social media and FOMO indicators that can be helpful. Altcoins also have their own market dynamics and features that can differentiate them from bitcoin and affect their price. For example, altcoins might have a unique use case or be listed on a major exchange. Overall, the cryptocurrency market is complex and influenced by many factors beyond just bitcoin's price movements
