if you listen to how the miner revs up, the fans run much slower on the FF650 firmware, but on stock 650FF 105 temp seems very high to me.. if you were operating at 15TH then i would say 105 is expected, but that is high for stock setings, whats your ambient room starting temp?.. do you have a cool air flow into the miners?
Ambient is between 20 and 30°C depending on daytime. No Aircondition. Are all the fixed frequency models running hotter?

If them temps are showing over 100 they are correct.. if they are showing 80/82 ish they are incorrect.
Ok, but I dont understand: Why should the miner be 105°C hot with stock 650 MHz on fixes frequency firmware and on autotune on 650 MHz only 85°C?
|
|
|
yes they will work on fixed freq.. i have many of them but i do prefer auto tune unless you live in a cold place
Ok, but what temperatures are reported? Mine went over 100° with the newer batches and i was a bit scared. Or are the readings wrong?

I have the possibility to top up 2 more FPGAs from SQRL/Mineority. Not sure if the money is better invested in something else right now. 4th quarter is quite a delay...

Thanks but what are the exact stratum settings you used?
Because stratum+tcp://equihash.eu.nicehash.com:3357 does not work for me.
stratum+tcp://equihash.eu.nicehash.com:3357 is what I used. Nicehash wallet as username and "x" as password. What's happening to your devices that you have to power them off/on?
The only thing that happens to mine is an out of memory exception but the miner process restarts automatically. No further issues so far. Latest firmware installed.
Same here. So far they restarted without problems by themselves.

Can anyone confirm, that there are autotune miners from the newer batches, that are not able to work with the fixed frequency firmware? As I said, they report high temperatures, even at stock frequencies. Or is there a way to overclock them? I did not find anything.

So far everything was fine on nicehash. Now I get a lot of drops of hashrate. So far it was really stable though. Can anyone confirm these drops / dips of hashrate?

On the same boat my friend. 2 days with a very bumpy ride. Every hours disconnect back to 0 and then again to 40ksol. I think they were under DOS attack. I switched pool and mined directly coins. Btw what does your nickname mean? It seems to be fine now. I also think it was the DDOS. So far everything was fine on nicehash. Now I get a lot of drops of hashrate. So far it was really stable though. Can anyone confirm these drops / dips of hashrate?

Hi will you please share the exact process of what you did to connect the miner to NiceHash? Just put in the Nicehash stratum and your Nicehash wallet. No magic needed for this one...

I have got the "error" error. If I dont have physically access to the device yet, can I do something about it?
that's up on how you did your setup in the meaning of where the unit is, how it's connected, is a PC/Laptop there too on the router where the E3 is? I have remote access to a PC that is in the network and that I manage my farm with.

I have got mine at 55° C at the moment depending on algo because I have a problem with the ventilation. But everything runs fine. Will fix ventilation asap.

See whats coming... Check asicminervalue. There is a lot of hashpower incoming that will diminish the profits. I think first batches of Innosilicon and Z9 mini will ROI.

The 0720 FW is the same as the 0706 FW. Its just a reupload with a new revision number for the filename.

No way I invest in an AC for that room

I have to say, that I have to spend some more time understanding the physics of heat. But would you say, I will have to change the ventilator for my room i described in the first post? Its something I have, so i mighr give it a try. Since my rigs are splitted at 3 locations. 2 of the locations are just ventilated by open windows

Hi guys,
I have a cold basement room. It has a window, in which a ventilator is installed, that pushes 2000m3 per hour out through a short pipe and gets fresh air through an opening from outside.
The room has 90m3. But I can downsize it to 30m3.
Will 20kW of miners and some ASICs work with that ventilator? Should I downsize the room to exchange the hotter air faster or leave it big, so it can distribute?
Thank you in advance!

What Country are you shipping to?
In this case Germany.
|
|
|
Dont forward port 80 externally though, you will get eaten within short time by the bad internet. If you wish to do so, choose a random external port and forward it to port 80 internally. If you dont know what I mean, you probably dont want to do this at all. I would recommend a VPN tunnel.

Hey guys, I ordered one E3 the day it came out. Regarding Bitmain, payment was received 9th of April. And my unit is still not shipped? Really? Even batch 4 guys are going to get their units shipped soon.
Anyone from first batch, who did not get the E3 yet?
Rgeards
Bitmain states, there is a problem with the customs and so they put every order on hold for my region....

can you attach a screen shot shows where the button?
i never saw one similar feature button in the web interface.
Just klick on "Exapmle" and then Restore. Seems strange, but it is the factory reset, so does Baikal say. You will lose your settings! It solved several times some problems for me.
