It depends what kind of solder was used (lead free or with lead), what kind of flux, if boards have been cleaned and washed properly.

I would say noise is similar to msi gaming set to 80-85% fan speed.

Question about reference card, do they are noisy like the 290 was?

It depends, if you run turbine at 100% speed they are noisy. In normal mining operation, when turbine spins between 40-50%, noise is in acceptable range.

Interesting, i use them on all 390 and rx and they do work fine.

If you are not going to change a BIOS, you are denying yourself quite much of performance boost. With factory BIOS it will be 22Mh/s for 4gb vs. 24Mh/s for 8gb version. Still, i would vote for 4gb reference model.
188  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Difference between 4 Gb and 8 Gb RX 470 on: October 09, 2016, 10:34:52 AM
If price difference is greater than 10% then take ref 470 4gb, with proper bios you will go up to 27-28Mh/s ETH with no problems.

Or you can place big radiator on your gpu and make it run passive - a good solution if noise is an issue.

HDMI - Adaptador> D-sub se puede utilizar. Ponga 100 ohmios entre los pines 1 y 6.

hdmi -> D-sub προσαρμογέας μπορεί να χρησιμοποιηθεί. Βάλτε 100 Ohm αντίσταση σε όλη την ακίδες 1 και 6.

hdmi -> d-sub adaptateur peut être utilisé. Mettez 100 ohm entre les broches 1 et 6.

HDMI -> D' 서브 어댑터를 사용할 수있다. 핀 1과 6에서 100 옴 저항을 넣어.
194  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Headless hdmi power cable & Fake display MsiAfterBurner Overclock & Fan Control on: October 09, 2016, 10:08:30 AM
You can also use hdmi -> dsub adapter and put 100 ohm resistor across pins 1 and 6. Secure it with duct tape and voila.
195  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: WattMan requires VDDCI<=VDDC on: October 08, 2016, 11:10:34 PM

  I don't think it has to do with my BIOS, but rather the custom VRM Asus uses is probably not recognized by the program.

You can also try Sapphire Trixx to move the offset, but i am not sure if it will work with custom VRM.

Do you know anywhere that has a free and open (no signup required) download of WattTool?

Downloaded from Overclockers few minutes ago.
197  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Hashrate RX 470 on: October 08, 2016, 08:13:07 AM

You are probably generating crazy amount of memory errors. Some cards can do 2000MHz with low mem errors rate, some don't. As stated before -lidag can also help.
198  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: WattMan requires VDDCI<=VDDC on: October 08, 2016, 08:01:58 AM
You need WattTool -> Voltage Offset text box, but if it's NA you probably need other BIOS (with unlocked offset).
199  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Hashrate RX 470 on: October 07, 2016, 08:15:14 PM
I see 95-100c on my ref 470 4gb VRM's, it's quite nominal range for that card model.

This is my rig:
I get about 350Mh/s per potato

Nice results, i was able get only 320Mh/s per potato, tried with a baked potatoes but hashrate was even lower.
On the other hand, your cable management is terrible! You need to work on it Wink
