181  Economy / Reputation / Re: [self-moderated] Report unmerited good posts to Merit Source on: January 12, 2019, 09:23:05 AM
or are  the merit reward for reporting quality post optional?
Yeah, it's optional. It should be kind of volunteer tasks. In fact, the objective of this thread is to provide enough merit to quality post. The main logic behind reporting is- If you think a post deserve merits and you don't have sMerits to share, report here. Just like ETFbitcoin has done right before your post here.
182  Economy / Reputation / Re: Lauda and new DT list on: January 12, 2019, 07:45:22 AM
if you don't like the way things are been done here,  you're free to leave forum, no one is holding you here.  We have numerous cryptocurrency related forums maybe altcointalk is where you belong 😂

everyone is free to express their thoughts on this forum, just because you agree to something, it doesn't mean those who don't should leave the forum, the new DT update was made mainly to increase decentralization, people have the right to disagree or argue even with theymos himself, again i am against these non stopping complains from people on the wrong sections, if you got something against any of the DT members then as SOHA said, go to scam accusation and post your evidence instead of spamming the forum.
In fact, theymos himself supports more freedom of speech. People can have different opinion. That doesn't mean he have to leave. We should try to defend our logic and hear everyone else. If you don't like someone, well, there is ignore button. Just utilize that, I don't think there has any other use of that button.
183  Other / Meta / Re: [infographic] DefaultTrust Who decides DT1 on: January 12, 2019, 07:35:41 AM
To be honest, you made it more complicated for them who still don't have any idea. Those who understand the system, will easily understand but noobs will be confused. I think the one by theymos was more easier to understand.
My personal opinion only.

~snip~
Will send you a pm tonight after having the text completed.
Text have been sent.

I myself think that is quite a lot of merit given for a low effort drawing including numerous English grammatical and syntax errors, but your effort to spread awareness is applaudable (if you plan to use it for anything more than merit bounty hunting).
Using a paid signature doesn't mean that I am here only for joining bounty. TBH, earlier I was in 777 campaign where I would get some bonus pay if I posted in gambling, but I didn't post there because I don't like to post there. Some people here saying like my dream, my goal to be 'X' rank here and posting the excitement after reaching full member, sr member or up (I am not here discouraging anyone, sorry if it hurts anyone). The only rank if I want is Legendary, for me it's prestigious to be a Legendary member here in Bitcointalk.

I think JetCash has some sort of forum for this sort of thing, or if you would like to, feel free to run the text by me so I can help you correct it and help you understand why it needs correcting..
I know, mate. Here in our country, English is not widely practised. I know it's poorly written. Again, I want to mention that one of my objective to be active here is to increase my English proficiency. Thank you for the suggestion. I will try to join Jet Cash's forum.

Sorry for my bad English.
185  Economy / Reputation / Re: shdvb has the best "Attitude" when it comes to sending trust (BPIP) on: January 12, 2019, 02:49:46 AM
Is that a bug? It says times merited while it's about trust feedback. Also, it should be an amount but displaying names.

186  Other / Meta / Re: [Infographic] Leaving Feedback vs Custom Trust List on: January 12, 2019, 02:30:18 AM
mate I don't remember - tell me, not got time to search

Edit - just seen, I asked for one of each! 20 being dropped, want more? got to do another explaining the importance of custom trust lists.
I didn't expect such a lot of merits for me. I got 36 merits yesterday. Thank you, by the way.
I had holiday yesterday and that's why I had time to write a little. Will write about the importance of custom trust list tonight if I get enough time.
187  Other / Meta / Re: [Infographic] Leaving Feedback vs Custom Trust List on: January 11, 2019, 05:18:56 PM
Simply add the people into your custom trust list when you believe them that they are giving worthy feedback to the other forum members when it comes to trade or reputation level feedback.

Leaving feedback to someone when you trust someone after a trade or you know them personally to convey other about his trust level from your opinion.
That's what I wrote, lol.

nice effort bud

cant remember how many merits I offered for this - remind me please
Are you kidding on me Cheesy Or you really forgot? Anyway, I had linked up in the OP for which I have written.

Nice work OP.

+ 2 Merit’s
Thank you. I love to write in this niche, in fact.
188  Other / Meta / Re: DefaultTrust changes on: January 11, 2019, 03:07:02 PM
- You must have at least 10 people directly trusting you each with an earned merit of at least 10, not including merit you yourself sent.
- You must have at least 1 person directly trusting you with an earned merit of at least 100, not including merit you yourself sent.
I guess it's saying 10 members with earned 10 merits have to include you in their trust list. (Excluding your sent merits to them)
1 memeber with earned 100 merits have to include you in his trust list. (Excluding your sent merits to him)
Did you say the same or I misread what you have said?

Or I misunderstood?

Looks like he is also saying the same thing, but more thing he is mentioning that the selection process will be manual even if the person meets all this criteria and decision is upto the theymos to include or not.
He has changed the statements, maybe you didn't notice.
189  Other / Meta / [Updated]--[Infographic] Leaving Feedback vs Custom Trust List on: January 11, 2019, 02:08:17 PM
I was totally unfamiliar with custom trust list till yesterday. After the new Default Trust changes, when I read that thread, I got what is custom trust list. Before that, I used to think-
In custom trust list, I should add people whom I can trust financially---> Not Correct.
Inspired by this, I thought to read a little about custom trust list from my understanding. I request everyone if there is anything I should include or exclude, please tell me, I will update the text.

Please note- It is highly encouraged to use custom trust list. If you don't know how to add members to your trust list, you may check this- [Explained] How DT system works

Thank you eddie13 for correction.
190  Other / Meta / Re: My 25 sMerit offer for a single post on: January 11, 2019, 12:37:27 PM
I have someone known who can produce animation video. I will ask him to do one. I have fixed a little story based on this. I hope it will not be flopped, lol. The only problem is if I could make it myself, I would deliver it by this time. I have PMed that guy. Will update here if I can produce.
191  Other / Meta / Re: Is Self moderated thread not allowed in Meta ? on: January 11, 2019, 03:57:19 AM
Not allowed. Not even in Auction too if I can remember correctly. At the evry beginning it was allowed, not sure though but later for avoiding any kind of issue, meta and auction were skipped, afaik.
Here is an old thread here M. Zakir claimed Scam accusation too. I didn't check though.

193  Other / Meta / Re: [Lets Discuss]Custom Trust list and Pros and Cons of the system. on: January 11, 2019, 02:48:06 AM
I just don't get one thing. Yesterday mday and today you are saying that it is recommended to set Depth 2. Where it has been recommended? Am I missing something?
We see depth level set to 2 because it's by default setting. That doesn't mean it is recommended. You should utilize it in that way by which you feel comfort.
Sorry if I'm missing something.
194  Other / Meta / Re: DefaultTrust changes on: January 10, 2019, 04:05:40 PM
Correct me if I am wrong here fellas, but if everyone creates their own custom trust lists Default Trust will have little to no meaning....
Well the default trust will alawys have some meaning, especially to the new members which don't know how to create their own.
It's not such a complex thing that a new member will not understand if he gives a try here. If a majority of the persons build a custom list, Dt will have a little value only. By the way, as per LoyceV, adding someone doesn't mean a trusted person rather a good habit of providing valid feedback. Again, most of the current DT members deserves to be in the custom list.
195  Other / Meta / Re: Default Trust vs manually added all the DT members. Difference in trust, why? on: January 10, 2019, 09:28:56 AM
but what is the logic behind this.
When you are trusting DefaultTrust, DefaultTrust is Depth 0, and Lauda is Depth 1 and someone whom Lauda trusts is Depth 2. You are trusting till Lauda's trust list.
When you put Lauda on your trust list, Lauda is Depth 0, Lauda's trust list is Depth 1 and their trust list is Depth 2. Therefore, you are trusting some more members.
The only logic is- when you are adding someone in your trust list, s/he becomes Depth 0.

Edit- You have forgotten to add a link to minerjones profile in OP.
196  Other / Meta / Re: Default Trust vs manually added all the DT members. Difference in trust, why? on: January 10, 2019, 09:07:09 AM
When you manually add those, the total feedback is 103. Have you checked who are those? I think it may give you an appropriate answer. Check which are those extra feedback displaying by default. I am not sure though.

In the first case DT1 users have Depth 1 vs. in the second case they have Depth 0? I'd assume that in the later case another layer is included in what you see as trusted.
Exactly. Got it.
When someone use DefualtTrust(Depth0), DT 1 are in Depth 1
And when someone adds DT1 in Depth 0, their trusted list become DT 1 and DT1's trusted list is DT 2.
That's the difference.
197  Economy / Reputation / Re: Wtf lauda is back? on: January 10, 2019, 07:59:20 AM
Lauda is back. It sounds awful. Rather we can say the system has pull back Lauda to DT. Isn't there a script used in selecting the dt 1 member? It's none like someone has selected Lauda to be in DT. Learn here how the system works- https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5095156.msg49143128#msg49143128
198  Other / Meta / Re: Ban appeal: 2 year old personal account/translator. Feeling bad/ashamed of this on: January 10, 2019, 05:50:31 AM
In addition, you have a habit of google translation which has been reported here- https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5038939.msg46221952#msg46221952
I hope you have got enough reason why you have been banned. No more excuse, please.
199  Other / Meta / Re: Trust Feedback Suggestion @theymos on: January 10, 2019, 05:33:05 AM
Sometimes when I want to change a positive to a neutral/negative or vice versa I have to go on to the specific profile, look up the feedback I've left and then delete it to add something new.
If it is possible, better not to delete the previous one as per theymos. You can add a new one. Whatever, it would be better to have an edit option.
- Older ratings count for more, so don't delete old ratings if you can avoid it.

Congrats @Hhampuz, seems you became legendary today.
Hhampuz is quite luckier than some other members since some people don't get their Legendary status at 1022 activity too.
Congrats Hhampuz.
200  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Is Really Meant as a Peer to Peer System on: January 10, 2019, 04:56:18 AM
Bitcoin was created as currency, so actually we need to focus on the real intention of bitcoin, but it's not an easy task, to make bitcoin into a successful currency we need the government permit, and because bitcoin is not too popular as currency its a bit hard to make people focus, people prefer to make bitcoin as store of value
If you are allowed by the govt, mostly they will have an access to your fund. Therefore, it's not decentralized. Isn't crypto's one of the purpose is to ensure decentralization in currency/payment system?
