Wallet v0.25.1 has been released and you can find it here: https://github.com/Qoracoin/Qora/releases/tag/0.25.1

Thanks Skerbus...this version fixed my connection errors and saved me a lot of time sorting out port-forwarding issues. Running like a beast!

  • The dialogue prompt for password to unlock the wallet when performing actions in the Web.
  • Improved Asset Exchange section.
  • Added voting within assets.
  • Auto update Asset Favorites for non-zero balances.
  • Added to the menu item to unlock the wallet.
  • Added hotkeys for all menu items.
  • Added Closing dialog.
  • Display the synchronization status in tooltip in systray. Also added wallet synchronization status.
  • Added new API commands.
  • Minor optimizations and bug fixes.

A Hard Fork is scheduled for February 22 so, make sure that you will update your wallet to the latest version ( 0.25.0 )before the fork takes place.

P.S.: The Windows installer will be tomorrow.

Really like the improved peer section and good to see a -testnet for development. Overall really good improvements. Will there be a genesis for testnet qora?

In our roadmap - to release light wallet based on web. To be able to make transactions knowing your seed anywhere. Without installing the app, and without downloading the chain.

From version 0.24.0 already made 237 patches.

Much needed update. Qora is in for a great future. Once people catch on and realize the potential in addition to ACCT, I see at least 100 sat and more and more use. Today at 10-11 sats, Qora is 84th on Coin-Market-Cap at $474,000. At 100 sats, that's only $4.7 M and just in the top 20. Not an unrealistic target.

Edit: just knowing how qora trading goes, however, dumpers dump and it's been really hard to maintain a solid trading volume and higher value. Once more people use/buy qora, distribution will prevent this but it will take some time.

Thanks qora.team for pushing out the new version.

do we have working wallet for polo and bter?

I don't know how to withdraw from exchanges.
The new version fixes a lot of errors. Made a lot of improvements. Probably all the problems will be solved.
I think that the withdrawal will work in a week.

Got v 0.24 working fine now. So many great features and a well-built platform. Looking forward to v.25. Thanks for the continued effort qora.team!

Just tried to fire up v 0.24 after a few months away and getting the following error:
INFO: Peers retrieved after settings : 0
The wallet just kinda seems stuck and does not connect.
Any idea why I am unable to connect to peers?
What version? Can zip the whole folder with settings.json and data, upload to the cloud and send link to me to agran@agran.net? It will be very helpful.

Email sent with link to data folder and settings.json file. Thanks for checking it out.

Error update: so I took my laptop out and changed wifi networks: I was able to connect to peers and sync the qora blockchain. I recently moved apartments and it appears that the syncing error (peer = 0) is related to the router or wifi network? Do I need to set anything on my router to allow access and/or communication with the qora network? What do you think is the simplest solution? Thanks.

Qora has never hit 3 sats as far as I remember....2016, so many alts are going to lose steam and simply putter out. Qora has enough qualities and features to survive but it's not looking good. Community is wavering and no sure path communicated from dev team. Not blaming...what would you do if you were the dev team...with no community support. Tough to admit the huge loss, been with qora from the beginning and invested a lot. The atmosphere has never been so grim...I'm holding because of my stubbornness to not trade so low. Good luck Qora in 2016. ...I hope you survive..and better yet, thrive and prosper!  Undecided

Once IOTA are distributed, will I be able to transfer/hold them in my NXT wallet as an asset together with JINN?

Im unable to synchronize the bc in v23. Every time I restart the GUI, the entire bc has to download...back to same old problems! What are the characteristics that required a fork..i.e. why can't I use the older client that works fine for me (v21)?

Each time I delete wallet and data folder for fresh install, bc never loads fully and everything freezes....

...and ideas?

The stacktrace shows a Gui issue (that might happen if you e.g. open the debug window), but this should not cause a freeze at all. Do you use the windows or the universal wallet?
For deeper help I suggest to join slack and join our bugs channel, there we can discuss the issue easier and help you getting things right.
The lightwallet is a good recommendation by bobafett, but if there is no wallet it will start in heavyweight mode in order to allow the creation of the wallet. After that is done the next start will be the real lightwallet Wink.

Thanks Skerberus and bobafett...I've switched over to the light wallet for now...so far so good.

I was having so many syncing/freezing issues with most recent release that I reverted back to v22.0. Now I'm back to forging ~500 qora/day. I hope the upcoming release fixes things. Thanks btw Skerberus and Vrontis for the continued efforts!
193  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Qora | POS | Assets | Names | Polls | Automated Transactions | Social Network on: August 13, 2015, 07:49:26 AM
Block generating balance is not tied to a specific forger who generated that block, it's a global variable that can be identified.
Here are some great explanations from rlh....
...The first account right now is Poloniex , http://qora.co.in/?q=QPVknSmwDryB98Hh8xB7E6U75dGFYwNkJ4
BTER is the 7th account, http://qora.co.in/?q=QXNz5kBknsgNYtRKit4jCDNVm7YYoXLZdB

Thanks Vrontis. I'd also like to take this chance to thank you very much for taking the lead with qora. You are doing amazing work!

i'm seeing recent block height of 123359 (and many previous blocks) with a generating balance of almost 4 billion qora (3,967,186,475)!!! However the richest account is roughly 760 million qora...

Does qora have a merged-account forging feature that I have not heard about? Or am I misunderstanding "generating balance"?

Also, are the top 2 accounts (over 700 million qora) Bter and Polo?

Thanks!

I have sent a message to the guy that looks after new coin inclusions for supernet and Qora management a few weeks ago. Dont know where that is at currently.

But i would love to see Qora in Supernet  Smiley

This is a good idea, thanks PondSea. Would be great if he (Cassius I think) finds Qora favorably. Qora has really improved it's tech since SN first recruited coins: AT, micro-blog, voting (not as relevant now with NXT having vote), etc.

Hope this happens.

How-To Deploy an AT on Qora

Automated Transactions (AT) is a technology created by CIYAM Developers which provides “Turing complete smart contracts” for any blockchain that implements it.

Below we’ll attempt to explain, as best we can, how to deploy your AT using the Qora client. We've compiled this with the help of vbcs and Vrontis and is subject to change if errors are found.

  • Account : Select which account of yours will be funding this AT.
  • Name : The name for your AT.
  • Description : A description about your AT.
  • Type/Domain : This is a unique name that will identify your AT with any other AT’s that are using the same code. For example, you can create a CrowdFund AT and if others are using the same code, they will have to use the same domain.
  • Tags : Descriptors for your AT. Separate multiple tags with a comma.
  • Code :  This is where you place your AT code.
  • Data :  This is the data space of the AT, or the “harddisk” for simplicity.
  • Data Pages : This is the size of the memory to allocate for your AT. The memory in AT is working on chunks of 256 bytes which we call “pages“. If you don’t define any data in the “Data” field above, because you don’t have any initial values to define, but you still need to allocate memory, this is where you do it. For instance, if you want to add 1024 bytes of memory for the AT then you need to set the Data Pages field to 4. Each “page” is 256 bytes.
  • CS Pages : Stack memory. This will only be used in specific situations, if your code is using PUSH/POP commands, for example. It’s extra memory to allocate to the AT.
  • US Pages : Same as above. Stack memory. This will only be used in specific situations, if your code is using PUSH/POP commands, for example. It’s extra memory to allocate to the AT.
  • Minimum Activation Amount : This defines the minimum transaction amount this specific AT will be able to see. All transactions below that amount are blind to the AT and will be ignored.
  • Quantity : This is the amount you will send to the AT when it is created. For instance, this could be the initial balance on an infinite loop that pays out x Qora each block.
  • Fee : How much you will pay the network to post this AT. You can compute the fee based on the number of “pages”. Each page cost 1 Qora, so if your code is two pages (512 bytes) and your Data, CS and US pages are 1, then you have a total of 5 pages. If the fee per page is 10 Qora then you will have to pay a fee of 50 Qora’s to create the AT.

Wallets contain 10 addresses by default and are generated from seeds.

Has anyone ever sent qora to another address within their 10 addresses. i.e.: can you send qora to yourself but to a different address in your wallet?

Yeah, it says:

The wallet has not seen a block in over 60 mins. This is likely because of long block times on the coin network. Please check with an official block explorer and see what's happening.

There hasn't been a block in a long time, so it's just that I guess.

What's going on with the network!? I sent a transaction 3 days ago and there are only 3 confirmations on polo?!
