181  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is the max amount of money that you guys earned from ICO? on: August 20, 2017, 04:41:01 PM
Once there was an ICO and I earned 4x on it in the initial days.
And in the waves ICO my money was lost as the coin was listed on the exchange below ICO price.
But the decent ICO is actually good and I have earned my profit and also have saved some decent for future pumps.
182  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bitcoin Cash surge - reasons for the increase? on: August 20, 2017, 04:21:34 PM
because it's new Alt coin and the Broadcast of BCH is everywhere
i guess BCH don't want to disappoint us.
Maybe BCH is just luring us.
or
maybe BCH is just really good that will overcome Btc someday
bitcoin cash is just having a small pump and nothing else but due to this pump, the mining profitability of bitcoin cash have become greater than bitcoin so the Miners are shifting towards bitcoin cash.
183  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: If you will get now 100,000$ how will you turn them into 500,000$ trading crypto on: August 20, 2017, 02:53:54 PM
I would make a portfolio and then buy the coins according to it in a dump and wait for the pumps and sell those and rinse and repeat the process a couple more times.
184  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Altcoins that might survive in the future? on: August 20, 2017, 02:37:50 PM
Litecoin, Monero, ethereum, waves, stratis are gonna stay here for ever and right now stratus and waves is quiet undervalued and everyone should consider investing in these coins.
185  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you save bitcoin for fun or for future purpose? on: August 20, 2017, 02:13:56 PM
Most of the time I think that I must save my bitcoins for future, but when I get some bitcoins in my wallet then I become tempted to spend all the coins I am having. And in the end I remain broke with no bitcoins.

CryptoKingdom died?  I see posts from rptelia from just a few days ago about it.

Always wondered if it ever actually became a game instead of a spreadsheet and a role playing thread but never got around to checking.  How's he a scammer?
Exit scam.  He ran off with 7 figures.   I am very sympathetic to those who lost money, but good riddance IMO.

Whoa rptelia did?  Good grief - from the game coffers?  How's he still keeping the game going then?  7 figures of $ or 7 figures of Monero?

He locked the game thread and started a "new" game. I doubt there are any/many actual players besides his imaginary friends.

The original game continues with a few die hards who have kicked him out and are attempting to revive it.

You can read more here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1890786.0

Other than that it seems somewhat off topic. CK was certainly not the biggest use case for XMR, though it had ambitions of growing into that, never realized.

What is bigger?
Assuming the trading in Poloniex is excluded...
Some darkmarkets adapted Monero but afaik it was barely used there...? If I recall right, there was 1 psychiarist in New York City who accepted Monero payments...?

This is just insane to me ... I've had had a dozen scam ideas with all of these ICOs going on.  I'm fairly sure I could make a million or two.  But I'm too terrified of the law to do it ... prison time kinda scares me.  Can't believe being a public figure he decided to.

Guess that explains why he doesn't post around here much anymore.  Was there some "hack" or excuse - or he just emptied the coffers?  He was one of the few around here I *almost* trusted.

Money made by scamming and stealing will not bring blessing to you. It is even better to have less money but the money is made in honest way than have shitloads of stolen money.  Scamming seems the fast track to riches but it actually ends badly and the thieves will become sooner or later broke.

Well I assume CK was the biggest single use case of Monero? I doubt there was no significiant demand from dark markets for Monero....?  Huh
190  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: July 08, 2017, 05:54:13 PM
The utility of Monero is very limited and basically it is just another shitcoin.
In my opinion, the current price is very lucrative selling opportunity - after all it is like 4-5 times higher than 1 year ago.

Not making this up... I read this and immediately bought 4btc more monero.

I value your input.

Good luck with your investment then I guess....
191  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: July 08, 2017, 05:01:01 PM
would you buy some xmr right now?

Sure...one of the only credible alt coins out there.

I disagree.
Monero seems so hard to code that there are very few wallet providers supporting it. Remember, Jaxx gave up. Also no hardware wallets so good luck storing your coins outside of the exchange in a secure manner.

Basically Monero is in the same situation it was 1-2 years ago. Hardly real world use cases.
Actually, it is even worse now as even Crypto Kingdom is out of the picture.

192  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: July 04, 2017, 09:49:57 PM
Talking my book.

Just finished moving most of my trading stack back into XMR after a successful run with ANS/Neo. Looking for north of $70 before the end of July. Adding additional with leverage under $40. Technicals and news based trade. An inflammation of the BTC scaling debate is the biggest risk right now to XMR USD price imo.

At some point in the future I see XMR being a flight to quality asset for BTC instability, but we aren't there yet.

Indeed Monero can rise to 70 usd by the end of this month, but that would require bitcoin to rise. Monero cannot rise significiantly with its own merits.

You know what is the pun
Poland used to be a wealthy country but when the Jews were thrown to the camps/out from Poland, it crashed economically and now it is in the level of a third world country.

Oh wow. Associating jews with money and wealth is the climax of anti-jew stereotypes. Don't you know that TrueReactionnaire ?
What's next ? Jews are bankers and a fifth column ?

These antisemitic rhetoric have to stop. Why you no learn lessons from history  Huh

It is not antisemitism to say that the Jews are associated with money.
While there are some "Milkman Tevjes", they are very exceptional cases. The majority of Jews are highly successful people and they have significiant wealth (at least in my country, I do not know if it has a lot to do with the smallness of the community but that seems to be the case).

Many Jews are involved with banking and finances. Bear in mind, we probably would live in the middle ages still if we hadn't functioning banking system.

Bear in mind that it is Gemara that says that the righteous people consider money more valuable than their body (Sotah 12a). Of course we can make a whole shiur on this what that does mean and it has several perspectives.

---

But now back to speculation: Monero will go down and fall into oblivion, but it will not happen over night. Bear in mind, Monero is not "get poor quick" -scheme.
194  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: XMR burnt me really bad on: July 03, 2017, 10:24:15 AM
Yeah, and the people who buy at the top apparently come here to cry.  Nobody likes a whiner, dude.

Now as to advice:  I say just hold onto whatever you bought and hope for the best.  You will absolutely never make a profit if you buy high and sell low.  It just doesn't work that way.  You ought to be investing only what you can afford to lose.  Mad money, play money.  Extra.  Be a man and suck it up.  Wipe the tears away and burn the kleenex with your brilliance.

This!!!! Let's hope...
195  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: July 03, 2017, 10:03:35 AM
Still people interested in Monero?  Huh

I am long on Monero for a long time.... Aren't you? If not, then why are you here?  Grin

I do not borrow bitcoins to buy Monero. Especially these days when the price is in the bubble and about to burst any time now.
I do buy coins when they are cheap and sell when they are expensive. Borrowing will not create wealth but destroys it (unless you are lucky one).

You know what is the punishment for Europe of nazism?
As the Europeans did not want the Jews here, we got the Arab invasion instead.
Jews were bringing wealth to the countries they are, the Arabs are mainly leakages and some of them are ISIS warriors ready to do the same thing to the European the Europeans did to the Jews (in the Torah it is called "measure for measure", in English it is called "Karma").
Poland used to be a wealthy country but when the Jews were thrown to the camps/out from Poland, it crashed economically and now it is in the level of a third world country.

I bought 36 XMR @ 0.01738500btc . Now it kept decreasing and I am super depressed just looking at the figures. Any idea why is XMR dumping so hard guys?

It is a horrible timing to buy any coin right now.
Basically the only coin you should be hoarding is bitcoins.

You should read the Speculation thread and follow me.... When I say it will pump, it will go up. When I say it will go down, it will dump.
Last time I checked, I am bearish on Monero.
Aminorex has quit working, he has expensive lifestyle and tons of Moneros. He needs to sell his Moneros now to sustain his lifestyle. Risto also is a high roller and living high and he has Moneros (although he says he was hacked - but definetely he has Moneros in some other storage units that are unhacked).
A lot of selling pressure, and the competition among the anonymous cryptocurrencies is getting more and more intense all the time. Dash replaced Monero, next is Zcash.

Right now I would just hoard bitcoins... The massive altcoin bubble is about to burst and bitcoin will get back some of its previous marketcap dominance.
198  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto Kingdom - 1991 Retro Virtual World(City) on: June 30, 2017, 06:43:21 AM
This proposal expired with no acceptance or counter offer. In fact not even a response. Since my proposal met the steep discounts proposed in the quote above this is indicative that there is no interest and / or ability here to settle these debts even with the steep discounts above.

* Future of DAGcoin, XMR, Markka, etc. hinges in my actions

Sorry for off topic but what is Dagcoin?
Is it going to be the next game changer?
199  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto Kingdom - 1991 Retro Virtual World(City) on: June 29, 2017, 12:48:15 AM
Risto could try to negotiate the interests away (at least partially) by prioritizing the ones who are willing to forgive the interests. I am sure many might want to do that especially nowdays when bitcoin is quite valuable asset.  Roll Eyes
200  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][EXCHANGE] Poloniex - Crypto Exchange with BTC/NXT on: June 26, 2017, 06:36:38 PM
I wonder if the people having troubles with Poloniex are using coins that have been money laundered...?
An exchange is responsible of making sure the money is not used in illegal activities.
