1161  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Should Ethereum and DAO be bought now? on: June 19, 2016, 07:14:32 PM
I decided to enter also into Etherium family.
I have been dreaming for long to own some Etherium but now I saw the price came to more affordable levels so I lost my Etherium virginity.
I think Etherium has bright future and chances are the price will restart climbing and ETH rises stronger than ever before from this.

Disclaimer: I can be wrong also with this. It is sort of risky investment, but I am not "all in" so I am able to sleep my nights well.

At what price do you think the era of mass adoption will take its place?
That's the very point you want to be selling. The buyers are literally begging the bagholders to release a little bit goodies.

Sell orders on Poloniex will soon be under 200k.

Only half day ago was 330k. Like this will dry out till Monday.

Price must raise to change that. How high. I have no ideas.

Trend that no one wants to dump/sell their Moneros i notice in past 2-3 weeks. It is not something really recent, but asks increased right now and escalated all.

Personally I am hoping Monero is able to show exceptional strength to overcome the historically strong resistance on 0.004'ish. That is something that I am looking forward to.

Next resistance zone is around 270k.
That gap between 27 and 38 needs to be filled.

How are your feelings on XMR currently? Extremely bullish or bearish?   Huh  Roll Eyes

Bearish now that most likely you will begin the dumpage

Thanks for some nice profits though Cheesy

Why would I sell?
I do not really need that cash.

THIS IS IT! Ladies & Gentlemen, this is what we have been waiting for. I would like to congratulate all the monero holders. You've been mocked, insulted, made fun of. But you've held up, you've been brave. And today is hte moment this will start to pay off.

If you are out of XMR right now, this is at your own peril! There has never been a better moment to buy.

Go green candles GO

Those people who has not better things to do in their lives than mock, insult and made fun of others (regardless of being a bagholder of moreno or not), are childish and stupid.
It is easy to be brave when you are not invested too much into Moreno but enough to become wealthy if it will pay off some day.
1167  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: June 17, 2016, 06:18:01 AM
For me it is irrelevant. If Monero moons, I am rich. If not, I do not care. I am not personally over invested in Monero and I do not suggest anyone to be as well. However, if Monero moons, it is nice to have a bag that will be worth of gold.

Therefore, keep on good work buying/selling XMR and remember to borrow some coins along the way as well.  Wink

I speculate my low-ball offers get filled.... AGAIN.

You seem very sceptical ... are you afraid that XMR could be delisted on POLO as a trading pair?

No I do not think so... And ultimately XMR might be a shiny coin with bright future but I think it takes some time as the big public will pay attention to it.
The possible scenario might be as follows: BTC or ETH will introduce people to crypto. After when people will find the world of crypto they will pick their favorites (for some people it is privacy and then they will choose Darkcoin or Monero, for other people they might want some real world use and they will choose ETH, for some peole they prefer something else and they will choose the crypto that has not been yet introduced to us etc).
I see the future with several parallel cryptos focusing on their own userbase, not necessarily competing against each other but living together (just like now we have in fiat world: Sweden has Kronas, Finland has euros and Russia has Roubles - they are not competing with each other but serving their own userbase).

That being said, the short term we have some chances to go down from here although I also want to hold those btc since btc has brought some nice ROI recently.

I do not see Polo delisting Monero, it still gives more trading volume than most of the coins there, and the criteria for Polo is that they want to make money from fees. As long as it makes at least somewhat sense to keep the trading pair, they will keep it. It is a business that makes money from trading. Obviously they want high trading volumes but it seems it is enough the volume is at least on acceptable levels.

Monero's decoupling from ETH.

I did notice this but can only surmise it is because of the large capitalization as it certainly isn't because of the tech. I really expected the opposite but once again I gave the masses more credit than they deserve.

first thing to learn in trading is that the market always right...  either due to the mass behavioral psychology or that it was wisdom of the  crowd, either way if you lose accept that you were wrong and learn more.
if you never accept that you were wrong then you will never learn.

My lesson learned from the markets is the fact that one can refuse buying if (s)he thinks it will go down. If one thinks the price will go up, then buying is a viable choice.
Buy when you think it is low I guess and sell when you think it is high. There are always people who disagree with your views due to different time horizons (some people are here for quick buck, others are for 2-3 years and some are for decades to come).

GUI progress ?

Soon as always.

In my opinion, at some point we need a sub thread on how long is the patience of a Monero bagholder for the empty word "soon".
I think you are exactly the very right person to start that thread and discussion with the trolls.

go away please. I am sure I am not the only one tiring of your thinly veiled trolling / shilling.

when it goes up Monero is the best thing since sliced bread for you (1 k, 10 k, 100 k etc etc yawn), when it's weaker you keep stepping on its head to fill your bags.

It's understandable but fucking annoying.

Funny to see how you freak out.  Grin
Soon indeed is an empty word and doesn't mean anything. It is not a deadline but a vague expression of something probably going to happen in the future.

You are right in stating I will be buying when the price is lower than the current but on the other hand, I do not have any urgency to buy more since I hold Moneros and bitcoins.  If Monero moons I will be rich and you cannot prevent it but if it tanks I will be  buyer and you can not prevent it either.  Grin

The only problem with your example is that Monero has a much bigger chance of becoming worthless than silver. I would be comfortable holding 100% silver, but much less comfortable being 100% in Monero. In fact I was 95%+ once in Monero, but I wouldn't recommend it to anyone Smiley

No, I'm not talking about 100% in Monero. I'm talking about the entire 5% of your cryptocurrency allocation in Monero. 100% of 5%.  (1.0 * .05).

Let's just say your entire investment portfolio is $100,000. You decide that you want to put $5,000 in crypto. You have to decide what part of that should be XMR and what part of that should be BTC. If you think BTC is going to rise against XMR, maybe you will put the entire $5,000 in BTC.

In that scenario, you will be thinking about XMR's price in BTC, not in dollars. Because you want to know how to allocate the $5,000.

5-10 % is roughly the amount of entire wealth I am holding in crypto in general out of which a certain additional percentage will be allocated to XMR when the price is right (in terms of btc-XMR) for me, and such point is 0.001, as long as that's not the case I am getting interest on both XMR and BTC in Polo.
I think XMR is too young and immature project to be all-in it right now (the same applies to BTC also). The immaturity of a currency can be seen in the extreme volatility (like 5-10 % per day). As time passes, I think the volatility will drop (due to takers in dump and sellers in the pump)... However, this might take years rather than weeks or months.
I hold Moneros so I am also happy if it pumps but currently I see dumpage more probable than any meaningful pump.

Most of my wealth is bringing me more money, I am a huge believer and lover of passive income.  Passive income is the ultimate way to become a millionaire and when it is achieved, it maintains the status due to positive cash flow unlike winning in lottery which only brings more misery as the money management skills are not trained.

Bitcoinexpress is indeed active these days.
Last time he was active Monero was pushed to the valley of dead, shadows and darkness for a while.
Personally I am considering buying some coins at 0.001 price range.

I think also Monero will go to 0.001 before it will restart rising.  Kiss

I am not really sure what happened 2 months ago. Price left sub 0.0015 btc area 3-4 months ago.

The usual spring pump.

aminorex silent for six weeks

health?

walked away?

He is probably busy nowdays as it is time to waite for buying opportunity.

Yeah.

The same pattern as earlier. Seen the same thing and feeling like deja vu.
However, sometimes his recommendations to trade other assets (wheat, currencies, etc) is also a sign he is waiting cheaper XMR, a couple of times also this has happened.
On the other hand, his bullishness has meant  the dump is on its way.

Usually it is a great selling opportunity when we have the walls.
I am not giving any trading advice here - everybody shall do their own due diligence.
I am a buyer when XMR hits 0.001 (probably during the upcoming 6-7 months).
1180  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: May 21, 2016, 08:26:49 AM
Soon some consolidation around 0.0018-0.002 area with stability.
After that one more dead cat bounce which is the last selling opportunity before the deep and long dive.
0.004'ish price will be regained in spring 2017.
