Most of the altcoins will look weak while Bitcoin rises so strong, with the reverse most likely happening when BTC adjusts down. As long as there is some type of foundation working on Auroracoin's promotion and use, it has more going for it than almost any altcoin out there. I believe that now is the time to buy AUR, and am using the little BTC I have to do just that I know the dev's are working hard on aurora but I always triple the time they say they gna get shit done in. Auro is a 10 year game for me. We only 2 years in.

I want to reach out to all my brothers and sisters in iceland today who are very Alone this Christmas Bitcoin Bull Run. The whole world is enjoying the fruit's of bitcoin but your leaders have denied you this simple pleasure.
alts are down across the board cause of bitcoin insane rally. It's time to buy the alts that truly have value. AUR is among them for me. EDIT: also: noone has denied Icelanders anything and I doubt anyone in Iceland is purely in AUR with no BTC on hodl. That'd be "too many eggs in one basket". This rally hasn't even started. Will icelanders start to notice and begin buying more auroracoin on isx.is. in order to get in on that bitcoin goodness?

I feel like guys are missing auroracoins geopolitical potential. Crypto currency was designed to disrupt geo politics not to compete with fin tech. Political elite in iceland are invested in crypto currency in several ways with Auroracoin as a player amongst other prodcuts like bitcoin and ethereum which is mined heavily in iceland. Fintech gave us ethereum. Crypto currency gave us bitxoin and auroracoin the latter which broke a world record in its first month by gaining a market cap of several hundred million dollars in a matter of WEEKS!

I know there is a merchant platform under development.
WI'll it have a Point of Sale system that links up to Apple and microsoft devices in store that will printake receipts or tally items on a list for a restaurant or retailer.
I'm interested to know your thoughts on the potential for a slightly differento system where a customer makes a cash purchase and then the system offers you your chaneeds in auroracoin...

The Pirates will likely be frozen out of a coalition.
Independence party have 21 seats. Left Green Movement have 10 seats. Majority vote in the last government was 38, i'm assuming it's gonna be roughly the same. That does leave them short of seats. The Pirate Party gained 10 seats, do you think it's possible for a 3 party coalition? they would be short on a majority vote with 31 seats. I don't see the Pirates being part of any coalition. More work needed.

Bittrex, to us, is by far the most trustworthy exchange out there. They responded immediately and adequate to our warning. Please respect that! I take that back. I'lll be glad to carry on trading

Someone took a 77K dump all over trex's buy wall.
Question for you: I've been invested in AUR for some time and just added another round to the wallet. I originally bought in shortly after the initial release because I liked the concept. I know there is no "crystal ball" but, what do you see happening this weekend and where do you see Auroracoin in the future? It's what you make it of it. Mathematically that supply book is gonna get thinner and thinner while your local fiat is gna be in a coffin awaiting burial. The maths donot need you but you can use a few mathematical truths to your advantage. AuroracoiN is a tool to be used. Trade it, make it, say it and flay it to those around you and at the very least start using it as amedium for saving.

Megahertz and I are making a web store that will sell all sorts of Icelandic products and will only accept Auroracoin as payment. Fortunately for all of you that are not located in Iceland, we will have international shipping so you all have an opportunity to buy stuff from Iceland for you Auroracoins.
So that being said I wanted to hear from you guys what it is you would like to be able to buy in the store.

Legislation has always been an issue for Auroracoin. It's basically what started it ;-) What I'm saying is that the defunct system that led to numerous financial crises in Iceland has also led to the creation of Auroracoin to offer the people an alternative based on true valuation of their holdings.
Looking at the current political landscape in Iceland, I would say upcoming elections might push legislation towards a favorable way of Auroracoin. Again, the movement of Auroracoin is closely embedded into the minds and thoughts of Icelanders. Once it gets political endorsement, things might become more clear.
Also, I might add that we already have had several official meetings with official Icelandic organs including the tax department and we have in writing that Auroracoin in no way is questionable to any legislation.
Thanks LTEX.

Those are legitimate questions Adam, so I'll try to answer them to the best of my limited legal knowledge.
I personally don't think chasing a legal path to fight the established elite (i.e. banks and governments) will do much good in getting Auroracoin anywhere. Fortunately (as I explained a couple of posts back) Auroracoin is no legal entity to engage in such legal battles anyway.
Politically, our movement has a good position in Iceland though. You might know that this year there were numerous events that clearly show the people of Iceland have chosen a path of questioning the establishment. This creates a unique opportunity in the political landscape, enabling Iceland to become the first country in the world that is lead by a "anti establishment" party. It happens so that this party has already shown to be very supportive of alternative, blockchain based, currencies.
So, in stead of discussing and pursuing legal routes, I would say, lets get the majority of the people behind us, by means of democratically chosen representatives.
That's fine but at what point will legislation become an issue for auroracoin in iceland?
