Auroracoin is for anyone who wants to break the shackles of financial slavery. Every part of my body wants aurora to take off on iceland but there are people in my country that are buying asome much auroracoin as they can and for a very legit reason they want to free themselves. Auroracoin is an experiment to see if a national crypto can show the world how it's done. When auroracoin starts getting popular in iceland, people from all around the world are going to want to buy auroracoin. Foreigners buying auroracoin is not a bad thing and if you keep shaming people who want to buy auroracoin you are damaging the fibre of the auroracoin community @ soltangrisk. |

Can't wait for the bus stop campaign, and launch of the exchange! We are headed above 1 $
It will be interesting to see what reaction we will get but you shouldn't expect too much. This is just the beginning and I seriously doubt we will have an explosion in usage but we will get noticed and that is our goal. The rest will come over the next couple of years with continuous efforts to promote, develop and educate people here. This project can't be built on top of just a handful of people. This is a community project and our goal is to get people involved with the project and contribute. That's the long journey we are just starting now and if we do our work well we will get more people involved and so accelerate the reach and usage of Auroracoin in Iceland. Adamastor was most likely responsible for this rise in price. When there is lot of coins in South Africa would.it not make sense to make that a 2nd base to Iceland? SOUTH Africa is exploding with crypto projecos, not all of them good. The latest scheme to go viral here is a bitcoin pyramid scheme called triple m. It's been accused of being a scam on national television but the operation seems to be picking up steam on Facebook. We had the 4th worst performing currency in 2015 and peopen are desperate to get out of the rand. Auroracoin is a perfect option for us because we experience financial oppression just like iceland. There is a political party called the economic freedom party and their motto won 5% of the vote in a country ofor 55 million. |

I want to set up a proper Auroracoin hackathon here in Iceland. I think it would bring good attention to Auroracoin here (especially from developers) and it can return something useful for the Auroracoin ecosystem. What do you guys think about that idea? How would you handle such an event. - What aspect of Auroracoin would you focus it on?
- What kind of rules and rewards would you set?
- How would you judge the competition?
The competitin could be based on who comes up with the most creative proof of work system for auroracoin. The prize could be aurora and the honour of naming the pow system. My personal ambition is to develop a pow system for an onine learning programme that uses your academic progress as a pow and students who make the most progress get the biggest share of new coins with each block. Does Iceland have black lives matter group that we can help sponsor or donate too? I don't mean to get off topic but the word black refers to a race and race is a fake science. Using words like blacknowledge and white can be deemed racist and should be kept away from auroracoin. All lives matter. To say black Lives Matter could be deemed as racist |

If iceland is a potential market for auroracoin, what does the segmentation of the market look like? Computer enthusiast is one segment of the maretail and a Hackat hon will appeal to that segment. What are the characteristics of some of the other segments in the market? |

Today is a very special day.
I sold 33 auroracoin to a new investor.
This is nearly the same amount that was claimable in the first momentus auroracoin airdrop.
Today those 32.98 auroracoin sold for 100 south African rand.
This is an amazing achievement and congratulations to the foundation and the developers backstage may may bring you untold honour and glory.

This thief must be exemplarily punished. It's a shame this kind of people are running nations. Unfortunately it's not not a local problem but a global one, as the "Panama Papers" reveal. The grotesque part of the story it's they portray themselves as our saviors. They feel they deserve what they steal from us, the mob, the lower level, the insignificant. this is a much welcomed development by Auora users in South Africa. The new geo location feature waggle will be a novel way of tracking and communicating with other users in our immediate vicinity. My immediate plan is to set small cafe's up with signs that say: "buy auroracoin here". these merchants will acitivily sell auroracoin instead of passively accepting it. Accepting auroracoin is one thing but this does little to spread the use of the coin. Instead I have approached most of the Cafe's here in town and have explained how crypto-currency works and the benefits they can take advantage of when actually selling coins to the public. |

How are people in southern Africa taking to AUR? Have they heard of bitcoin or AUR the first introduction to crypto you give them ? MOST people know about bitcoin here.
