Another perspective us on ask: does the governmenet of iceland regulate Auroracoin and how?

Furthermore what obligation does the government have to regulate auroracoin transactions in Iceland and is the government in the wrong if it doesn't regulate Auroracoin?

I have a question which I hope someone can answer: can owners of Auroracoin take legal action against other parties just like a company would sue another party?

I'm not sure I understand the question.

By owners do you mean users who have acquired and hold some Auroracoins?

And what kind of legal actions are you talking about and in what case?

I mean take legal action against reserve banks on behalf of auroracoin as a "shareholder" claiming anti competitive behaviour has damaged my "business".
I did some reading on juristic persons. Is Auroracoin a juristic person. Ie. Can it sue?

Just because you did some reading does not make you a lawyer, does it?

You are the attention seeker from South Africa who is always trying to involve Aurora Coin in your dramas.

 Roll Eyes

It struck me that crYpto has disrupted the financial system and the political system but it has done very little to disrupt the legal system.

Maybe this is because alot of investment has gone into startups that focus on financial tech but no one has focused oN legal reform.

Instead the only legal content available has come from governments trying to define bitcoin. What I'm looking for is to use crypto to challenge the current legal system in the courts.

Adamastor showing the love in Cape Community !!

wow, that is amazing to see how you have embraced Auroracoin as your local alternative value trading system !

I will definitely be looking for the right time / article / interview to use your efforts as a personal story of how Auroracoin is being used and what it can offer.

Why did you choose to go with Auroracoin ?

I can tell you that it makes me that much more inspired to continue my dedication to this coin.

Of course I always wanted to change the world, just didnt know that I would be doing it in my home country of Iceland using a vehicle like Auroracoin that can actually drive the change.

The gods (or God) must be in my favour.

Much love and respect,
Mikjáll

I've pretty much gotten auroracoin to all my close friends and family but merchants adoption is next to nothing.

I've approached several community members about promoting crypto  but that has proven very slow.

I've lived through an era in my country of financial fraud and undue inflation because of government corruption and a depreciating currency.

I've witnessed our neighbour Zimbabwe go through hyper inflation before dumping their currency outright in favour of the dollar revealing the true face behind all fiat currency.

We live each day with a accuse awareness of the criminality of our government without any means for redress.

I beleive that the one time event of the airdrop makes Auroracoin the answer to a new and democratic financial system for the world.

I have a question which I hope someone can answer: can owners of Auroracoin take legal action against other parties just like a company would sue another party?

Hello y'all,

Mikjáll Hannes here, from the Vice Documentary Auroracoin-New Currency At The End Of The World?

unlimited.world/motherboard/new-currency-at-the-end-of-the-world

Just to let everyone know that there are some events being planned for this month and some adoption meetups, some of which have begun to occur.

Right now it is informal as I work with some merchants on roll-out strategies, but we will be having more formal events in October.

More news to follow, including an online store, buy Icelandic products and creations with Auroracoin.

take care,
mikjáll

Awesome!

This post brings me joy.

Is there any way foreigners like myself (a South African resident) can support your movement.

Are you working with the dev's or the foundation at all?

I loved your film

Can I get a whoop whoop

Dev's have done us a favour by keeping announcements minimal as a week price will give us one last chance to affordably buy coins before this rocket ship takes off.

Does any one have any concerns about holding coins on bittrex?

Why hold any coins on any Exchange. It's not necessary. An avoidable risk.

Correct answer Molecular! Besides that, I think Bittrex is the most severely audited and therefor trustworthy exchange around next to Kraken and Coindesk.
Thanks for the advice.

Does any one have any concerns about holding coins on bittrex?

The market has a warning of low liquidity and they seem to be quite invested in ethereum as they opened a dedicated eth market.

Does any one here not bit the ethereum story?

Feeling super proud of iceland after the game.

Sportset.io was accepting bitcoin bets for the game and returned 8 times your bet if you put money on iceland.

Awesome

Another great performance by iceland last night in their Euro group match against Hungary.

8 percent of iceland is in Paris to support their team team which is funny to watch coz they only fill up 2 grand stands in the stadium.

It puts the 10% who hold auroracoin into perspective.  30 000 icelanders doesn't seem like that much when you see them on the screen.

Like Skarfur has said auroracoin has to grow out of this small market cap of 2 million dollars.

From here you need the right partners to accept the coin

Merchants aren't the first answer and I don't know if the team has thought about this but merchants will convert coin back to krona if their suppliers don't accept coin.

so the game you need to play is one of supply chain management. supply chains don't start with merchants they end with merchants. Instead they start with electricity so if you want many supply chains and the eventual merchants to accept the coin you need the electricity suppliers to accept auroracoin.

This is easier done in iceland than any other country given the six and nature of electricity supply in iceland.

Landsvirkjun, the largest electricity producer, had 76% annual production in 2007.The majority of the electricity is used in industry, mainly aluminium smelters and producers offerroalloy. Landsvirkjun does not participate directly in the retail market for households and smaller businesses. In the retail market the main companies are RARIK, Orkuveita Reykjavíkur and Hitaveita Suðurnesja. The last two have also entered into the market for energy intensive users. The households heated with electricity, not many, receive subsidies to make their heating costs comparable to hot water heating

A smoke shop, a convenience store and a coffee bar here on the tip of Africa have all accepted auroracoin wallets and will be accepting the cutrendy once I furnish them with the right merchandise.

Our town simonsrown is the headcquartes for the countries navy yet we are a tiny community of 6000 people which includes 2000 employees at the naval he base here.

Close to 50 people have auroracoin here including many navy personal and our collective stash of auroracoin is near 1% of total supply. Most importantly a small financial services firm that actively invests in and promotes gold has invited me to pitch auroracoin to its client base which includes many money managers here in Cape town.

Selling auroracoin to navy personal has been interesting because they have been exposed to countless money schemes by other navy staff or by foreign navies that have visited us. The navy has the most disposable income though and the navy continues to be a great target for auroracoin.
