Die Kurssprünge haben zweifellos stattgefunden. Die suggerierte Behauptung, dass es ansonsten keine nachvollziehbare Entwicklung ("lineare Entwicklungen auszudenken") gegeben hätte ist nicht ganz richtig. Die Charts der Vergangenheit, sprechen eine andere Sprache:

Insbesondere, kann man aus der Anzahl der Transaktionen einen deutlichen Trend ablesen. Und der Chart Handelsvolumen vs Transaktionsvolumen sagt zweierlei. Erstens spielt der Handel eine erhebliche Rolle und zweitens nimmt die Wichtigkeit zu. Man braucht keine Chartanalyse, um einen einen exponentiellen Trend fortzuschreiben.

Funny idea - but if one gets the puzzle out of the safe he may be able to solve it.

Simply create an encrypted paper wallet. Print it out five times. Split the key into ten chunks and write one chunk on every print out. Then fold them and seal them with some kind of stamp. After this the five sealed printouts should be given to reliable persons with the instruction only to unseal them in case of your death or on your request. It is a good idea to have at least someone in the group who is not in good relationship to the others.

So then you have a perfect backup of the coins even for your heirs or in case you loose your wallet key or the password.

Secondly the root cause seemed to be an old qt wallet that has been password secured later. So that the thief could use an old wallet file with a subest of the private keys to steal the 90 BTC instead of everything.

Thirdly @philipzhai - you may check where you kept your old wallet files. Especially cloud space, forums or email accounts. Maybe you gave an old disc or computer away containing the wallet file.

Finally it should be clear that no wallet is 100% safe. There are many recommendations how to create safe wallets and keep them safe. Eg.
 - create offline paper or brain wallets with btcaddress.org
 - encrypt wallet.dat and keep it offline most of the time
 - use anti malware and anti virus software to detect key loggers
 - ....

From my experience I can say that nothing is finally 100% safe. For one a unencrypted wallet.dat with bitcoin-qt may be safe because it is used in a safe system. For another one even the offline generated paper wallet is not safe because on reuse his smartphone is infected.

This situation is a clear sign that we have to manage system security more carefully because the system use cases are extended into a secure area. Everybody must be aware about the traps and open doors in his systems (computer, smartphone, ...) like everybody keeps care about closing the doors and windows of his house over night. This is a ongoing and demanding task and requires awareness for anybody.

Ein Einbruch der Aktien impliziert aber nicht automatisch einen Ausbruch der Bitcoins.

Wenn ich die Twitter Meldungen verfolge (@BTCNews247, @bitcoinmoney, @BitCoinReporter, @Bitcoin, @bitcoininfo, @TheBitcoinNews, ...), dann würde ich sagen, dass ein Anstieg des Kurses kurz bevor steht. Aber sicher kann man sich da nie sein. Erstaunlich ist allerdings die relative Konstanz des Kurses in letzter Zeit.

Da gebe ich Dir Recht. Aber erstens ist Bitcoin keine Aktie und zweitens war der Kurs der T-Aktie nie unter Beschuss, bis urplötzlich der freie Fall einsetzte. Das ist bei Bitcoin anders. Als Anfang 2013 Regulatoren mitbekommen haben, was sich da entwickelt, haben sie alle Hebel in Bewegung gesetzt, Bitcoin zu zerstören  ...  und es nicht geschafft. Im Gegenteil ... jeder Angriff führte zur weiteren Verbreitung und noch höheren Kursen. Das ist quasi organisches Wachstum. Es gibt derzeit keinen Sichtbaren Grund, warum das nicht so weiter gehen sollte.

Anmerkung: Die klassischen Chartanalaysen machen nichts anderes. Und für mich als Mathematiker ist das wirklich Kaffeesatzleserei.

Ich gehe davon aus, dass wir uns noch in einer frühen Phase bewegen. So angenommen, wird sich die exponentielle Kurssteigerung fortsetzen. Deshalb habe ich einfach aus der Vergangenheit auf die Zukunft geschlossen

Die relative Stabilität des derzeitigen Kurses (kein steiler Anstieg) und die damit einhergehende Ruhe (Bitcoins sent last 24h    346,786.94) ist allerdings bemerkenswert. Ist das die Ruhe vor dem Sturm? Jedenfalls dürfte das FBI Guthaben dem Markt nicht viel anhaben.

sehr schöne Analyse - obwohl weitere feindliche Aktionen der Finanzlobby nicht ausgeschlossen sind und dann das Wachstum nochmal bremsen und damit temporären Kursabfall oder eine Seitwärtsbewegung erzeugen. man erinnere sich an die vielen letztlich erfolglosen Versuche der Vergangenheit in 2013. wirklich interessant wird es sobald einer der Zahldienste, wie PP oder WU, aufgeben. dabei könnte PP problemlos zum Escrow-Service mutieren



Hinzu kommt, dass einige der Inhaber grosser Volumen über gezielte Markteinstreuungen, die Preise auf einem gewissen Niveau halten könnte, was dann auch erstmal zur Seitwärtsbewegung führen würde. Was ist eigentlich mit Satoshies Million ??



Ramschpreise sind wohl mittlerweile fast ausgeschlossen. Und die Sicherheit fehlt in der Tat. Mit 1kUSD ist eine psychologische Hürde erreicht worden.
