I thought they had given respite because of Ramadan.

Yet another sad story involving weapons, if they keep the streets have become more violent.

The question is, why attacked gays?

Because islamists will kill gays. They killed gays before the invention of the gun or the creation of the USA.

It's worth noting that the continual CNN news has NOT mentioned it was a gay club.

One protected minority cannot kill 50 members of another protected minority.

At least they didn't targeted the schools, orphanages and kindergartens. Still a little bit perplexed about the surge in terrorist attacks, during the month of Ramadan. The Muslims consider Ramadan as a holy month, don't they? Also, this attack seems to be the worst terrorist attack to have ever occurred in the state of Florida.

50 dead? That could be the worse since 9/11. Let us see what 0bama will say....

GOP senator: 'More of these attacks are coming'

"There's just within the wonderful group of Islamic people, a certain group of radicals and it's been there for a long time and it seems to be growing and we have to accept that fact," he said on "Fox News Sunday."

The shooting at the Orlando nightclub is being characterized as an act of terrorism. The suspect, who was killed inside the club during a shootout with police, had an assault-style rifle, a handgun and "some type of advice." An agent from the FBI's Orlando field office also said there are “suggestions” that the suspect may have had “leanings” toward radical Islamic ideology.

Sessions said the country has had more than 570 people either convicted, charged or connected to terrorism since the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks.

"And it's not stopping as we see apparently today," he said.

"More of these attacks are coming. It's a real part of the threat that we face and if we can't address it openly and directly, and say directly that there is an extremist element within Islam, that's dangerous to the world and has to be confronted."

Sessions said the country needs to be careful about who it admits to the country, adding that the issue is a "serious matter."

"I wish it weren't so," he said.

"I wish there were some easy solution but there's not. We have to be more vigilant."

Orlando gunman identified as Omar Mateen - CBS

Omar Mateen: Orlando gay club shooter identified by police - US media

Police sources have identified the gunman in the mass shooting at a gay club in Florida as 29-year-old Omar Mateen, an American citizen whose parents are from Afghanistan, according to US media reports.

Authorities in Orlando said they were investigating the shooting, which killed at least 20 people and wounded 42 others, as an act of terrorism.

The gunman was killed in a shootout with armed officers at around 5am on Sunday morning, US time. He was armed with an assault-type rifle, a handgun and some sort of "suspicious device", police said.

Omar Mateen: 5 Fast Facts You Need to Know

Omar Mir Seddique Mateen has been named as the gunman who killed as many as 20 people and wounded 40 others at the Pulse nightclub in Orlando, Florida, CBS News reports.

He was later killed by police after taking hostages at the LGBT club.

Mateen, 29, is a U.S. citizen of Afghani descent from Port St. Lucie, Florida, according to CBS News. He has ties to radical Islamic ideology, CBS reports.

Port St. Lucie is about 125 miles away from Orlando.

Here’s what you need to know:

1. The Gunman Exchanged Fire With a Police Officer Outside the Club Before Going Inside & Taking Hostages

The gunman, Omar Mateen, was engaged in a shootout with police outside the night club at about 2 a.m., police said at a press conference. Mateen then entered the night club and took hostages.

“The officer engaged in a gun battle with that suspect. The suspect at some point went back inside the club and more shots were fired. This did turn into a hostage situation,” Orlando Police Chief John Mina said at a press conference.

Mateen was armed with an “assault-type” rifle, a handgun and a “suspicious device,” authorities said.

Management at Pulse took to Facebook to warn people to stay away. Everyone is being asked to stay out of the area.

The attack occurred during Latin Night at Pulse, the one of the largest gay clubs in Orlando.

Kenya Michaels was scheduled to perform at midnight and the shooting took place around 2 a.m. Michaels’ colleagues, who were also at Pulse, are OK, according to posts that were making the rounds on social media. Roxy Andrews posted on Facebook that she was in Tampa and was fine, and that Axel Andrews and Angelica Michelle Jones made it out OK.

Fans of Michaels were on Facebook, posting and requesting an update on the performer’s status. They were asking in response to her post about performing if she was safe. It was later determined that Michaels made it out safe also.

The nightclub was at full capacity when the shooting began. One person, who was at Pulse, posted on Twitter that he was just able to get out, but others were still inside when he fled.

2. He Was Killed by a SWAT Team in an Effort to Rescue Hostages

Mateen died at the scene after he was shot by police at about 5 a.m.. He had barricaded himself in the nightclub after opening fire. Witnesses reported that some of their friends were hiding in dressing rooms and bathrooms, trying to stay safe.

A video from the scene appears to show the moment the SWAT team engaged in a final gun battle with the suspect:

An officer was wounded during the shootout, but was saved by his Kevlar helmet, police said. More than 30 hostages were rescued from the club.

Mateen has no known criminal history, according to CBS News.

It is not clear if he was known to federal authorities prior to the attack.

3. The FBI Says They Are Investigating the Shooter’s Background & Possible Connections to Islamic Terrorism

Local FBI Assistant Special Agent-in-Charge Ron Hopper said at the press conference that there are “suggestions” the gunman “may have leanings” toward Jihadist ideology. Hopper had been asked about whether the shooter was connected to radical Islamic terrorism.

Hopper said they can’t say definitively whether the gunmen is connected to that ideology. He said we’re looking into all angles right now.”

ISIS supporters and sympathizers on Twitter posted messages after the shooting, but there have been no official claims by the Islamic State terror organization.

4. The Gunman Was Organized & Well-Prepared

The FBI says the gunman was “organized and well-prepared.” Police have not released further details about the plot or whether anyone else was involved.

Police have asked anyone with information about the shooting and the gunman to come forward.

“If you have some information, no matter how small you think it may be, that would relate back to today’s events, please share it with us,” Hopper said. “I would urge you to call the 1-800-CALL-FBI public access line, we have phones standing by to take any information or lead whatsoever.”

Hopper said they will be conducting interviews and a huge FBI presence will be seen in coming days.

The shooting comes one night after former Voice contestant Christina Grimmie was gunned down outside of Plaza Live, about four miles away from Pulse. The gunman in that shooting, Kevin Loibl, fatally shot himself, police said.

But police said the shootings are not connected.

5. Mateen’s Parents Are From Afghanistan & He Was Married in 2009

Both of Mateen’s parents are originally from Afghanistan, according to CBS News.

Mateen was born in New York, NBC News reports.

He was married in 2009, public records show. It is not clear if he was still married at the time of the attack.

Mateen is a registered Democrat who has also lived in Fort Pierce, Florida, according to online records.

He was also a notary public in Florida, but his license, issued in 2008, expired in 2012, records show.

Maybe they are already aware of our existence they are just finding a way to talk to us because maybe they are using language that we don't know yet.  Grin And maybe they have a technology far more advanced than us or far more inferior than us. Its also possible that they also have a crypto-currency that is similar to bitcoin.

Or maybe they put as much effort wanting to communicate with us, as we wanting to communicate with ants.

I feel that Hillary might perhaps be trustworthy in the personal sense, as in if you told her a secret about yourself she wouldn't go tell everyone, but not in a professional sense. She's lived her entire life for politics, and she's a scripted robot that is very careful not to offend interest groups. Her promises change with political winds, as she is always out for more votes. Not very principled, but practical. Politician (and by extension, liar) at heart

Translation: all the crooks and criminals who sent money to the clinton foundation can trust her support in the future.

Child Bride Legally Married Under Sharia Law, German Judge Rules

A regional German court has recognised as valid the marriage of a 14-year-old Syrian girl to her 20-year-old cousin, despite the legal age for marriage in Germany being 16. The case represents a landmark ruling, with the Federal Court set to adjudicate on the implications for the country as a whole.

Among the hundreds of thousands of migrants arriving in European countries over the eighteen months have been a number of underage wives, some as young as eleven, others already mothers. But although most European countries stipulate that a girl must be 16 to marry, the authorities seem unsure what to do with young bride migrants.

In what is likely to become a landmark ruling, the Oberlandesgericht Bamberg (Higher Regional Court in Bamberg, Bavaria) has this week decided that the marriage of a 14-year-old girl to her 20-year-old husband must be recognised as the wedding has already taken place, was recognised as legal in their native Syria, and was conducted in accordance with Sunni marriage rites.

It had been asked to rule on whether the husband was the girl’s legal guardian in lieu of her parents, after the girl had been removed from an asylum centre where they were both living and placed in a centre for teenaged girls.

Appealing a previous ruling which had granted weekend visitation rights to the husband, the local Youth Work Officer, who had guardianship of the girl, requested the visits be restricted to three hours a week to prevent intercourse between the couple.

But the court disagreed. It said it could find no evidence that the marriage was a forced one, and granted guardianship instead to the husband.

It also refused to draw up a visitation schedule on the grounds that, as her guardian, he is free to interact with the girl whenever he likes. And in light of the fact that the marriage had already been consummated, it further recommended contraception for the couple.

The judge however recognised that the Federal Court had not yet ruled on whether underage marriages legally conducted abroad should be likewise recognised in Germany and that as such it’s ruling may be declared invalid, inviting the Federal Court to now come to a decision.

That's the thing.

If your job can be done by a robot, then you are useless. And sooner or later, you will be fired.

Colleges are losing their advantages slowly. Most of them will be producing biological robots with no thinking- Humans. (They already do actually, but robots haven't completely overtake humanity yet.)

Robots are cheaper, robots make no mistakes (very little chance), robots don't hold grudges, they don't spit on your food. Then why the heck i choose humans? I prefer robots.

Robots are also doing another good for us. They remind us that we don't need to make kids more than 2. That is the reason why the world is becoming a shittier place every day.

We are already seeing colleges declare a war against ebooks and they try to suppress technology. So yes, you are absolutely right

Why would colleges be against ebooks? Aren't things like chrombooks, as an example, cheaper to install and maintain? If anything, ebooks should be forced upon schools to avoid heavy books.

He means something else.

They are against free ebooks. Smiley They don't want you to read everything available on the internet. They want you to study in their college and pay for it. They don't want you to think anything other than what they teach you. If you do that you will become smarter than what they expect. Smiley

Obviously.

Emails in Clinton probe dealt with planned drone strikes: WSJ

WASHINGTON Emails between U.S. diplomats in Islamabad and State Department officials in Washington about whether to challenge specific U.S. drone strikes in Pakistan are at the center of a criminal probe involving Hillary Clinton's handling of classified information, the Wall Street Journal reported on Thursday.

The 2011 and 2012 emails were sent via the "low side" -government slang for a computer system for unclassified matters - as part of a secret arrangement that gave the State Department more of a voice in whether a CIA drone strike went ahead, according to congressional and law enforcement officials briefed on the FBI probe, the Journal said.

Some of the emails were then forwarded by Clinton's aides to her personal email account, which routed them to a server she kept at her home in suburban New York when she was secretary of state, the officials said, according to the newspaper.

Investigators have raised concerns that Clinton's personal server was less secure than State Department systems, and a recent report by the State Department inspector general found that Clinton had broken government rules by using a private email server without approval, undermining Clinton's earlier defenses of her emails.

The still-secret emails are a key part of the FBI investigation that has long dogged Clinton's presidential campaign, the officials told the Journal.

Clinton this week clinched the Democratic presidential nomination for the Nov. 8 election and was endorsed by President Barack Obama on Thursday.

The White House rebuffed questions by reporters on Thursday on whether Obama's endorsement might be seen as unduly influencing a criminal investigation by the U.S. Justice Department involving Clinton.

White House spokesman Josh Earnest told reporters that Obama "has reiterated his commitment to this principle that any criminal investigation should be conducted independent of any sort of political interference."

The emails, which did not mention the "CIA," "drones" or details about the militant targets, were written within the often-narrow time frame in which State Department officials had to decide whether or not to object to drone strikes before the CIA pulled the trigger, the officials said, according to the Journal.

Law enforcement and intelligence officials said State Department deliberations about the covert CIA drone program should have been conducted over a more secure government computer system designed to handle classified information, the Journal reported.
