181  Economy / Economics / Re: Prediction for 2017 - share your views on: January 13, 2017, 10:41:51 PM
I guess 2017 is another bitcoin rally, we may see some dips today and it is normal.  We have seen bitcoin going up and down, but the fact that the lowest price it can go dip is higher than the lowest last year state that there is more adoption and more people are coming in to buy bitcoin.  At the current price, bitcoin seems recovering going back to $800+.  I can believe bitcoin will be around $1500 at the end of 2017 as what other veteran in bitcoin trading said.
It seems to be a reasonable number, but I think it can happen before the end of the year. There are many projects and apps scheduled to be released in a couple of months, and this can make the scenario very different by then. Since major investors are on the scene, this time the mainstream media can provide more coverage than it did years ago.
182  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you consider trading as gambling? on: January 13, 2017, 10:32:51 PM
For me trading is just halfly gambling because somehow you can control the outcome of the trade like just shulio said in the above post.
In gambling, even if you use some martinfail or whatever you call strategy you are still depending on luck entirely.
yeah trading sometimes force us to trade blindly place a buy/sell position baseless. and that time trading feel like gambling , it's frequently happened actually. that's why a lot of people really think trading are just like gambling, i do agree too in that kind situation. trading just more complicated than gambling .
Placing blindly buying and selling orders is a big mistake, it would be the same as gambling. Any experienced trader would recommend to the investor to carefully analyze each move. In trading, I think there are more variables to analyze, which is probably why some people consider it a complicated activity to understand, but the fact that there are methods to analyze such variables makes things simpler and helps to reduce risks.
183  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: you need to overcome your fear of losing money on: January 13, 2017, 10:26:22 PM
Yes, without any risks you also will not make any money, its as simple as that, you need to take some risks sometimes to get that money.
You're right if you really want to earn in trading you must overcome all of your fear. It's normal you have fear of losing all of your funds but just like what OP say you will need to face your fear just like in gambling bet what you can afford to lose. You will also need some strategies in trading
You will not only need strategies on trading but a knowledge and skills in able to be profitable and yes fear of lossing money is everywhere anytime you get or pick money on your pocket or wallet and most people do really feel this kind of emotion and its really normal because money is valuable for us thats why we are afraid to lose it but we should really face that fear in able to earn money.
There are many factors in scene, and it is difficult to understand all of them in theory. There are things that the individual will only learn through experience. It is not advisable to invest large amounts too early, of course, but as experience is gained, it becomes more advisable to make bolder investments.
184  Other / Archival / Re: Earning "free" bitcoins on: January 13, 2017, 10:14:13 PM
Like someone has said, there is no such thing as free lunch.  And no free bitcoins too, in any way you have to invest something, your time, your knowledge, efforts. Faucets, signature campaign and simillar, it's not exactly free bitcoins and many sites that are offering free bitcoins for nothing are just scam.

Exactly. They all can be considered free only by the people who think free means not investing any money, but if someone considers all kind of investment like time, efforts or knowledge etc then none of these ways are free as you said because in each of these ways you are investing something except money.
Some people do not understand that even in crypto, to have some profit something needs to be produced, and it must be something of value, that generates real demand. It is difficult to find such things in the cryptocurrency space, since it is a relatively new field and with many scammers... But there are, in fact, people producing things of value and working on projects that can make a difference in the real world.
185  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is Binary Options The Same as Trade? on: January 13, 2017, 10:08:27 PM
As the name says, it is a form of investment in which you have two options in a given period of time, being these options to buy or sell. Since the user has a short period of time to make decisions, the risk is very high, in my opinion. There are people who say they have good results with this, but I do not know exactly the techniques used, and in which situations can be applied.
186  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Great way to make Bitcoin! on: January 13, 2017, 09:59:51 PM
there is many ways to make more bitcoin like as gambling and trading there is a lot of people earning bitcoin in huge amount in short time through trading and i think trading has lowest risk than other investment.
Disagree, trading only has less risk than an investment if the investment is a scam of some type, investments can be very safe, look at casino investments, every month you will earn a small amount, there is the risk of losing, but since you are in the side of the casino, you have better chances to earn money than with gambling.
I'm sorry friend but I am disagree with you, I think the risk of gambling is really big because no knowledge that can help us to always win. My logic said that gambling site just take their profit from their customer, so I think joining ICO is the great way to make bitcoin.
This is also a risky method, but I consider it a less risky method than gambling, in fact. In gambling, it is difficult to have greater control over situations, since you can not control your luck. In ICOs, on the other hand, there is a lot that can be studied and, depending on your analysis, you may be able to choose an investment with high potential and acceptable risks.
187  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin, is it worth spending time collecting it? on: January 13, 2017, 09:56:19 PM
This depends on the method you are using and factors involved in the process. For example, many users recommend signature campaigns, which may in fact be profitable, but that will depend on the campaign and, of course, your raking. One must also be careful about the quality of posts, as this is carefully examined by campaign managers.
188  Economy / Economics / Re: Why do you buy Bitcoins? on: January 13, 2017, 09:52:37 PM
Now I buy Bitcoins due to the fact that the price has fallen slightly. I am confident that soon it will grow again and I will get profit. I have a few months waited for the moment when I can buy Bitcoins
This is one of the reasons why Bitcoin can be a great investment at the moment, but the main reason is that there is a good chance that, by the end of this year, with Bitcoin gaining more users and being recognized in the market, we may see a significant increase in demand, which is reflected by an increase in price.

Hi @secondstrade,

Please review my posts. I had made 10 in the last week, but the spreadsheet shows 0. Payment not yet received.
In previous weeks I had no problem, all other payments were received.

Thanks!

you posted 9 post in the last week .
you can see the record 99(12/26) doc.

thank you.

Only if my account has a different time zone, because I'm seeing 10 posts from the last Sunday (December 25).
Or some post was disqualified, in which case that would be a fair explanation.
191  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BYTEBALL: Totally new consensus algorithm + private untraceable payments on: January 01, 2017, 02:41:36 PM
People complaining could give suggestions, because the only method fairer than this is POW, the problem is there are no blocks here... and this is probably a good thing, because @tonych is not trying to replicate Bitcoin.

he was given many suggestion long before main net. He chose to ignore them. As yet the motivation is unclear.

To be 100% honest though it was not as bad as it could have been. Lisk, wave and komodo seem to be the largest whales.

I was told the second largest wallet (6.9K) is ICONOMY project wallet. Didn't check that information though...

Well if true thats another whale that could crush the price on a whim.

I strongly dislike this method of distribution. It is totally unfair. I like a bit of BTC and got some but I will gladly watch it sink to zero value if someone clones this with a better distributional method.

If it is cloned I hope they give tonych something for his design once they launch. However to see a direct clone bypass byteball will be signal to other devs not to launch with such a ridiculous method.
Dude, you complain that whales have zero risk to link their addresses, but the small fish also have zero risk by linking it. With regard to ico addresses, it's not just like individuals are linking it, these are addresses of foundations. If Apple wants to hold Microsoft shares, that's their problem. Blacklisting the addresses would be even worse, especially in the crypto space.
192  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [GBYTE] Byteball Speculation on: December 31, 2016, 06:58:55 PM
The problems is this:

Round 1:

100.000 GB of max 1.000.000 GB distributed for 70.000 btc.

Following rounds:

900.000 GB rest will be distributed for 15.930.000 btc.

Something is very very very wrong.
It's a huge number, indeed, but an important aspect that you're probably missing is that you can use the same BTC balance to participate in several rounds.
There will be many rounds of distribution, more than initially scheduled. I believe it will be a long process, but this will allow more people to participate.

You may have made 10 posts last week, but that does not necessarily mean that they have the sufficient quality or have been written in the payable threads.

And since the minimum number of posts to be paid in this campaign is 10, the system can not count less than that, so making 8 or 9 valid posts equals 0.
There are two columns, one for posts, and one for denied posts (non-constructive posts), both show 0. So I think there was some problem with counting.
194  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BitCoin 20 Years From Now on: December 31, 2016, 05:42:36 PM
After 20 years starting from now . The bitcoin price will hit 100,000usd
If somebody has got 10 bitcoins , They can become a millionaire.
Wow, That is a rich imagination for me.
i think the price of bitcoin is not going to be increase so much after 20 year, i think after 20 year bitcoin will be trading in a normal price may be trading in 4000 USD and at that state bitcoin will be mostly using as currency .
This price is far below what can be expected. I think Bitcoin will have reached a much larger user base, and there will be a large number of merchants and customers using the currency. It does not make much sense to think Bitcoin will be at such a low price after so many years.

196  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you regret spending money on this year? on: December 31, 2016, 12:37:53 PM
I should not have bought some electronics so soon, I could have bought it later. But what I really regret having bought, are some altcoins. It took a while for me to realize that the vast majority of them are just pump and dump schemes, to fill the pockets of developers, and some insiders.
197  Economy / Speculation / Re: is it time to start seriously talking about a $5000 BTC on: December 31, 2016, 01:27:25 AM
The key is stability, BTC has reached $1000 before but never stabilised for a significant period of time.

If BTC stabilised over $1000, I would say it's possible, although other factors are involved and have to be considered

You're right. I wouldn't actually even say we were over $1000 before... it was mostly gox fakery.
Today's ecosystem is much more decentralized as far as price discovery.

Stability in bitcoin affected by bigger market cap of bitcoin which means we need more adopters, more merchants/stores, big companies to adopt and accept bitcoin payment.  The most factor that makes bitcoin price always fluctuate is daily trader, buy and sell. It's a common thing in bitcoin world of course, but we need to pump by increase the adoption and market cap.

As you said, adoption is what really brings growth, but this adoption is something that has been growing in number for a long time. It is important to remember that many people are satisfied adopting Bitcoin as a means of storing value, rather than using the functionality for micropayments as the main use.

To answer the OP, not sure about 5k for the next year... but something close to that is possible. To some it seems like an absurd number to be achieved in one or two years, but something like that was already being speculated several years ago. At that time it was an exaggeration, but we are probably closer than many people think.
198  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [GBYTE] Byteball Speculation on: December 31, 2016, 01:06:45 AM
I don't like to see the currency so cheap in the market, but I'm thankful to be part of it. There is a lot to be done, would be nice to see more exchanges listing it. I think this may be a rare opportunity for investors. Probably one of the best coins of the year.
199  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Is about 953.3$ in preev now!!! on: December 30, 2016, 10:43:55 PM
I was predicting that the price could fall to a value just under nine hundred and fifty dollars, and in fact this happened recently... but now that we have seen a good price recovery, I think it will be difficult for Bitcoin to return to previous levels.
200  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why bitcoin is not supported in some countries? on: December 30, 2016, 10:21:41 PM
Because for many governments, Bitcoin is considered a threat to the local currency, and therefore, to the centralized model of power that the state imposes on people. The truth is that the more you fight against this kind of technology, the more people are interested in understanding what's behind it.
