70.000 btc linked to 100.000 GB = 7 btc per 10 gb ~= 1 btc per 1.43 GB(=1430 mb?)
Yes. In the 2nd and following rounds you will only receive 62,5 MB per 1 btc or less?
Yes, plus in the second round at least, you get 0.1 GB for each 1 GB in your byteball linked addresses. Btw. Byteballs are for free right? It is just not well known so not many people linked their btc.
Yes it is, just link BTC and/or BB addresses and you're good to go, I think one of the reasons why the distribution rules were changed is to enable byteball to get more exposure and attract more linkers.

Do you know why there is so much difference between round 1 ico vs all other rounds? If they want to distribute as much as possible it makes no sense to give out 20+ times more byteballs in the first round... Tbh it sounds like a big insider ico.

The rules have changed three times if I remember correctly. The first were that all would be distributed at once, then it was in 4 rounds (10%+20%+30+38%), and now we have these latest rules which are more advantageous for second rounders than the ones before. You may find useful info in the distribution section from https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1608859 and in this post https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1608859.msg17226859#msg17226859 from tonych about the latest rules.

As you posted, not many were aware of this free distribution. There will be several rounds of distribution. If I am right, there were only distributed around 10% of the Byteballs in the first round on 25th December. 90% are still available. According a statement in the official thread, next round will be in February. Hi could you explain a bit about the (first round of the) ico? 70.000 btc linked to 100.000 GB = 7 btc per 10 gb ~= 1 btc per 1.43 GB(=1430 mb?) In the 2nd and following rounds you will only receive 62,5 MB per 1 btc or less? Btw. Byteballs are for free right? It is just not well known so not many people linked their btc. I get the idea why the price is that high....

I saw a very large byteball trading price in my opinion. probably a lot of great whales play there. the selling price could be higher until the beginning of 2017

The 62.5 MB per 1 BTC ratio is explained in the distribution section by: The ratio 62.5 MB per 1 BTC is chosen so that the total money supply of bytes (1015) and the total number of BTC in circulation (16,000,000) are equivalent. I just recently raised a small concern of mine about it here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1608859.msg17347717#msg17347717.

I don't like to see the currency so cheap in the market, but I'm thankful to be part of it. There is a lot to be done, would be nice to see more exchanges listing it. I think this may be a rare opportunity for investors. Probably one of the best coins of the year.

The problems is this:
Round 1:
100.000 GB of max 1.000.000 GB distributed for 70.000 btc.
Following rounds:
900.000 GB rest will be distributed for 15.930.000 btc.
Something is very very very wrong.

It's a huge number, indeed, but an important aspect that you're probably missing is that you can use the same BTC balance to participate in several rounds. There will be many rounds of distribution, more than initially scheduled. I believe it will be a long process, but this will allow more people to participate.

In a perfect world you would be right Means, if every created Bitcoin so far would be linked with a Byteball address. But in the end, a great part of all existing Bitcoins will not be take part on the Byteball ICO. The problems is this:
Round 1:
100.000 GB of max 1.000.000 GB distributed for 70.000 btc.

I didn't even know that the difference in the first round vs the second was this huge.

This is not the only problem. Many first round Byteball receivers sold their stake in order to participate with the earned Bitcoins on the second round to get another stake of Byteballs. I am pessimistic regarding the price until all Byteballs will be distributed. The problems is this:

100.000 GB of max 1.000.000 GB distributed for 70.000 btc.
Following rounds:
900.000 GB rest will be distributed for 15.930.000 btc.

Really today the price of GByte is really increasing so it means byteball is getting lot user base continuity in the markets.I see there is some good things happening in byteball coin just not like pump and dump, this should be happen every time so that many people keep an eye on this. It's better for byteball to list in some more exchanges so that big whales will trade this.

seing it only on a small random exchange with really questionable distribution and someone saying it cant be a p&d i would say we surely have a pump and dump here.

Price dumped hard today following the Bitcoin flash crash ($200 within a hour). That is almost 40% in fiat value. Trading volume also fell under $10k a day. I think the first hype after the distribution is over.

I think the method of distribution will always raise discussions, but there's probably not much to be done at this point, most of the suggestions I see would not make things better.
