Wow...isn't it quiet.
ANd the exchanges are the same...just bots trading among themselves
Guess this is what Christmas is going to be like...

Should I change my bot to post on bitcointalk about it's trades?

Does anyone have settings for a 690 that doesn't absolutely melt the device? How can I throttle this thing to make it less intense?

Try running with -i -- it'll reduce the speed a little bit.

I _just_ got my 690 up and running and am still having driver issues with it (I can't run on both devices at the same time, sigh).

But with a single device running with -d1 -m1 -lK8x16
I'm seeing about 270-275 kh/s
and after a few minutes my card is at 78C.  It's freestanding (motherboard-on-a-table kind of thing).  78 is not something you want to stick your tongue on, but it shouldn't hurt the card.

What kind of temperatures are you seeing from nvidia-smi?  What hash rates and what config?

(And - for my own use - if you're running Linux, which driver are you using that works?  *grins*)

I tried running "-i --" but that just put interactive mode to 0 and made my pc unresponsive.

I'm seeing 400 KH/s in total with default settings on my 690 on Windows 8.1

Is there really no way for to have my 690 only mine at 60 % for example?

Are you comfortable editing the source?  There's an easy change to accomplish what you want, but it's a bit of a hack and requires recompiling.

You could also try running with a kernel config with something like -lK1x16
and see if that slows it down and reduces the heat.

I never compiled anything on windows before, I don't mind editing the source tho, can you guide me through it?

If you have not sold yet conciser it now!

Ugh and another troll is born. Maintaining an ignore list is such a chore...

Ohh and putting someone on the ignore list that could save you lots of money is very cleaver.  you are a smart well balanced guy Smiley

Be real dude... I can manage my own portfolio just fine, I've been sold since 970 on Stamp...
But what you are doing is just baiting people in to trading the way you want them to.

You have no fundamentals for your posts, they are just a waste of time...

That's why i'll ignore you...

Next time I meet someone from China I'm kicking them square in the nuts.

EDIT: Someone from the Chinese Central Bank. Not Chinese people in general.

Agreed, but at this point, I'm ready to kick anyone available in the nuts

You might want to kick yourself in the nuts for being a fool that doesn't use TA. Any TA system would have pulled you out a long time ago now.

I have a patented trading algorithm that works wonders with BTC and I'll share it with you:

If 2 Posts on 1 Page (Wall Observer) contain "Bitcoin" + "The End" Then Buy
If 5 Posts on 1 Page (Wall Observer) contain "Bitcoin" + "Moon" Then Sell
Else Hold

Thank me later!

191  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: December 18, 2013, 10:26:11 AM
Well Chinese exchanges can only sell now, what if the sell all the way to 0, will other exchanges follow?

Yep then youll be selling bitcoins for .0001 usd

Look guys let's face the inevitable...
This thing is going to go to 0, but I'm offering you a way out!

I'll be buying any amount of BTC you have for 1 USD / BTC!

If you compare that with .0001 USD that's a 10000% Increase in value.

Contact me via PM!

Recent days have been really boring. What's with the panic, as if this is the first "crash" we've ever seen.

Klee, I know you are passionate about this, but can we stop this useless discussion already?
I'd like to get an update on Neo & Bee, I don't want to see endless posts of you fighting a couple of trolls.

Just let them be, they'll go back to their cage...
Sure man, I took it more personally because he is Greek like me. Oh well...

I hope you didn't take offence, It's just no use discussing with people that are obviously out to get you to rage. (Trust me, I've been in your spot before)

Now, it's been a while since we've seen Danny in here, I'd like to see some more pictures of the building and maybe the PoS devices?

A bit off-topîc, but getting into quarkcoin is the most retarded thing a single person can do. Everyone that even thought about it is instant discredited and ignored for life.

How can you fall for something that you probably don't even understand, do any of these quark investors know how the mining process works (might want to read up), and do you really think your lord and savior max keiser is telling you about quark just to help you earn something?

Any of these quark defenders are an insult to humanity.

Have a nice day!

Now I get many errors like this for 6- and 7-chains

Code:
Invalid share
Reason: Share target too low

Why is it? I am using rdebourbon 4.0F2  with command option -m 61 -target 9 -bttarget 9

yPool has a detection facility on the server side which automatically tries to determine your client side targeting option to prevent share abuse via a lower target.. I've noticed that occasionally this would reject shares if you had not sent "enough" higher length shares..

As you're targeting 9 - and the network is now @ 10, the server side check is likely going to become more of a problem for you.. I'd discuss with jh00 if the problem persists.

All my miners are losing most 6 chains and  some 7 chains.  The output is like this -

Valid/Total shares: [ 59 / 185 ]  -  Best/Max diff: [ 9.075941 / 0.000000 ]
Share Value - Total/Per Hour/Last Block: [ 23.131973 / 0.999311 / 0.000000 ]
 6ch/h:     4.92 - 114 [ 28 / 39 / 47 ]
 7ch/h:     2.89 - 67 [ 20 / 14 / 33 ]
 8ch/h:     0.13 - 3 [ 1 / 2 / 0 ]
 9ch/h:     0.04 - 1 [ 0 / 0 / 1 ]

Is there anything we can do about share target too low?

It's the truth son. I'm trying to pick a beer-fight with you, in the end we're all beerbrothers!
The difference is day and night! Your taste buds just need to find true enlightenment!

Oh boy, if I didn't know that he most certainly isn't into Bitcoin, I'd say you sound like my girlfriend's father and his ale fawning.

No, wait, he's also Dutch, not a Belgian kiddie fiddler!

Cheesy

Lol! We might have some sketchy individuals. But your beer sure helped you win two world wars, oh wait...

I like you. If you weren't on the wrong side of the Dutch language area, I'd invite you over for a beer haha (Brand, to be precise. My current favorite)

10/10 Would troll again! See you around!

I am indeed Belgian, and as every Belgian should, I know quite a lot about beer.

I agree there are worse beers, but those I don't even take into account.
I take Heineken as entry level for everything that's beer and in that section it's rock bottom.

However:

I do enjoy beers from all over the world! The Netherlands for example has "La Trappe" for those that haven't tried it, I highly recommend it! Even in the USA you have a couple of excellent microbreweries!

Germany typically thinks they have decent beers, but 90% of what they brew over there is pure water with little to no flavor.

Nah, the  Belgians only *think* their  beer is that great. Know what their  problem is? They don't know what a good, mellow tasting Pilsner is. All of those Trappist quadruple-malty-thick-as-molasses beers can suck my ass Cheesy

That's exactly what I meant when I said "Heineken is a decent"... It's a decent beer in its category. And I'm not surprised to hear the beer snobs fags go all like "Oh noez! Belgian beer = only good beer".

Sure, if you like your beer the consistency and taste of raw sewage, you like Belgian. If you are, like the great nation of Germany, first and foremost a lover of greatly balanced Pilsners, you'll pass

Troll-y enough?

Troll-bait successful!

Not only do we have the best triple, quadruple Trappist! We also have the best pils by far! Stella, Jupiler, Even Maes! > All trashy pilsners!

Dude! I like Jupiler (and to a degree, Stella). But claiming Heineken is shit, while Jupiler is great is just... painful.

It's the truth son. I'm trying to pick a beer-fight with you, in the end we're all beerbrothers!
