Three correct scores took me straight to first place. Shame I didn't get any points from the other two matches as that would have been a great result. Nobody backed Brighton to beat Spurs which helped and only two users went with the Villa win not unsurprisingly. Not sure whether to go with 1-0 or 1-1 on the West Ham/Palace game. West Ham should win at home but I think they're equally matched and only one point separates them.
1802  Other / Meta / Re: Bitcointalk.org inaccessible from Turkey? on: October 03, 2019, 10:18:40 AM
Woah, be careful there. Merely using the word 'Turkey' associated with anything even remotely negative can get you accused of racism by the Turkish mob here  Cheesy.

It's crazy to think that governments still try to censor certain things. I think most probably do it some extent. Piratebay and some warez sites are blocked in the UK by court order but I'm not sure what good that does when you can bypass it in a second with a proxy. Proxies seem to be a booming business right now. They seem to be sponsoring half the big youtubers and I've even seen them advertised on the banner boards at football games and even during the TV commercials over here.

Seems its not the government, but the internet providers that are directly censoring the content. Which is weird, because some of the bigger, and more popular VPN services operate within Turkey. I do remember one of the VPN providers making a move from Turkey to Georgia a few years ago though which might be because of some ruling the government made. If someone wants to put their conspiracy boots on they could say the government isn't directly blocking the sites, but are putting rules to the internet providers that they have to block certain content.

I can't speak for any where else but in the UK with the case of PirateBay etc it's the movie studios and TV networks that go to court to get an order which if granted is then legally enforceable and ISPs have to follow suit in blocking them. Kinda futile as they can only block a specific domain so if it's piratebay.com all they have to do is start using piratebay.net or whatever then they have to go get a court order to block that one but specific proxies just to access piratebay pop up all the time so it'll be a never-ending battle.

1804  Economy / Reputation / Re: Should I leave the Yobit signature campaign? on: October 02, 2019, 08:59:52 AM
I have seen in some users' comments in this thread and others' that YoBit would be a semi-scam exchange. What are the arguments for that? Did they had an unpleasant event in the past for the users or closed people accounts without notice? I'm just asking because I'm curious to see if these are just words in vain and pressumptions or they're actually facts.. Huh
Just type as Yobit scam accusation in google then you can find lot of threads regarding their bad reputation.

Anyway some threads for your view

Yobit scam ? Trade lost money
Yobit SCAM - SYSCOIN withdrawal
1000+ ETH blocked: Yobit.net won't explain or resolve
YOBIT scam - class action law suit
YoBit seems wants to steal my money. Are they scammed?
Scam market YObit.net and YObit.io
Yobit.Net Scamming My Deposit

source this post : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4327871.msg38799090#msg38799090

But none claimed that they were completely scam exchange neither they run away from user's money, they still operating and their daily trading volume is huge. Shocked

Well to be fair you could probably do the same with any exchange and you'll find people complaining about them being a scam or in some other capacity. If someone has their coins stolen or account locked users often blame the operators and are quick to claim a scam even when they did nothing wrong. I think most of yobit's complaints come from them seemingly being a bit shady and unorganised, and being unregulated they don't have to adhere to the same standards many others do. I don't think they exactly run a water-tight ship but I'm not sure I'd call them a scam exchange either, though I haven't looked in depth to any of the complaints people have about them, but you also often don't know the full picture. I'm sure many scammers themselves start crying when an exchange locks their funds or whatever. I remember when people were quick to attack Cloudbet when they locked a users coins because there was something shady going on and two different parties were trying to claim the money. Many users were quick to call Cloudbet a scam but they were actually doing the right thing in trying to get to the bottom of who the funds rightfully belonged to rather than just possibly sending them to a scammer.

If you google "Cloudbet scam" the first thing that comes up is this: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5124896.0

But if you read the later posts in the thread you'll see it was quickly resolved.
1805  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: YoBit Signature Campaign (Bitcointalk) on: October 02, 2019, 08:47:28 AM

But I'm curios about two things
How did you get that email and what is the date on it?
The little russian I know makes me believe it is at least 3 months old.
You're right, this message was received in Jule. IIRC, I also  received such or similar message back then, but I can't guarantee and I'm lazy to dig deep into my inbox. So, these scammers have database of emails. Maybe it can inside job and someone from Yobit staff leaked it.

Multiple crypto databases have been leaked including this forum, so these scammers just buy them from places and I think some have even been posted publicly for free so scammers can easily target crypto users. I've had some fake emails from crypto companies I've never even signed up with so they obviously just send them to everyone they can and hope they get some genuine users.

That's why I don't wear their signature anymore. But, talking about their support, they don't answer on tickets via their website. And try to write yobit.ch in your browser, it will get you to yobit.net.
And...? Anyone can redirect their domains to any website.

This is 100% a scam. No questions.
It's a good scam though, until I read this I too thought redirecting the domain to their own site must mean they bought it to prevent abuse.

The email on the other hand is obviously a scam. You should NEVER trust someone who requires a payment before he can pay you. Didn't millions of emails from Nigerian princes teach you that? Tongue

I think that user might just be trolling with that screenshot. The url may or may not go to the genuine site, but if it does then maybe the address on that email is spoofed as well just to make it look like it came from an official source.
1806  Other / Meta / Re: Maximum number of posts eligible for payment on: October 02, 2019, 08:37:10 AM
If Yobit and ChipMixer had the same posting requirements and paid the same amount per post and per participant do you think that the members promoting ChipMixer would switch sides? Even if Yobit paid more do you think those users would advertise a site like Yobit?
No, Yobit can never have the good reputation ChipMixer and DarkStar_ have. I agree with you.

Why not? If yahoo runs it as tight as Darkstar does then it can quickly gain reputation as a reputable campaign. The only difference is the pay which is I think what makes Chimpixer such a sought after and in-demand campaign.

I think there should be a rule regarding maximum number of eligible posts.
You're mentioning the campaigns that pay an actual coin with value. As much as I dislike the current Yobit spam: at least it has a cost to them!
The bounty campaigns that pay in worthless made-up Tokens cause much more spam, but it's mainly restricted to the (totally lost) Altcoin boards.

True, but with that being said, Yobit is probably making shitloads from fees along with all the shitcoins they let list there so it's probably not that much expense to them. Hopefully maybe the shitposters will emigrate over to their new board and leave this one forever. I just hope yahoo can get on top of things because it would actually be nice to see a campaign that people can actually get on easily as there's not that many that come here these days and when they do the slots get filled up pretty fast. As long as yahoo can sort it out and people quickly realise that they can't get away with spamming 20 one liners as fast as they can there shouldn't be any problems. The issue has always been lack of or no management at all and hopefully we won't have that problem now.
1807  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: BitcoinNews.com's UEFA Champions League Football Preditor Pool Discussion thread on: October 02, 2019, 08:30:38 AM
I think it was me PMing you mate =) Well, as mentioned before, we didnt plan on doing this with an international base but next time I think I will really use Superbru and make it international - gonna be lots of fun. Smiley

At least two people have PMd me about doing their own, but come to think about it the other one might have been a cricket one or something.

I have been in a business relationship with them for years so we just talked about it. I will talk to them when its time for a new pool hilarious and sort something out. Smiley

Cool. Thanks.

Some surprising results yesterday. Glad I didn't put any bets on because Real Madrid would have let me down. I'm surprised they managed to claw themselves back. No idea why Bale wasn't even in the squad. I thought Zidane had started playing him now. Spurs got spanked. Good job that wasn't in the knock-out round because good job coming back from 7 away goals scored.

Speaking about Wednesday games, I think that Slavia can make an upset against Borrussia. They are very solid team and it will be so difficult for BvB to win.

I think I might go for 1-1 on that game. Had 0-1 to Dortmund but wasn't keep on it.

Barcelona in a strange shape, Inter on the other side playing one of the best football ever seen in Milano, and such an advance in odds for Barcelona?
Ok, sorry, yesterday I was asking too much from DZ obviously, but tonight it will be the night of Inter

Amala!

Inter is indeed have better performance in the local league compared to Barcelona, but we are here for the CL. Sometime a team with great performance in local league cant show the same performance in the CL. Barcelona is still Barcelona with very great history in CL but on other side Inter is also improving this season so I expect a tight match with many goals like my prediction for the pool 2-2 (I may change it though)

I think Barca will win this especially at home, but not by much. Maybe 1-0 or 2-0.
1808  Other / Meta / Re: Yobit spam on the forum on: October 01, 2019, 01:43:41 PM
Well this is something yahoo should be dealing with as that's his job now. As long as he kicks the problem users off and gets on top of things then there should be no issues. If he doesn't then that's a different matter.

The problem is that a one person can hardly keep under control a few hundred people, and their numbers are growing steadily. The last statistics suchmoon posted two days ago shows 310 participants, and if we assume that each of them will make at least 10 posts daily, we get 3100 new posts to check every day, mission impossible. How will things look like when this number becomes twice or three times higher?

That's something yahoo will have to deal with and if he can't get control of the campaign then it won't look very good for him and there should be repercussions for that, but it shouldn't be too hard to keep checking the new participants and kicking them off if they're blatantly shitposting. He should probably get in contact with yobit to change the way people can sign up and make it so they have to be accepted first or even overhaul the way the campaign runs completely.
1809  Other / Meta / Re: Yobit spam on the forum on: October 01, 2019, 09:37:59 AM
In just a few days army of cryptotalks/yobit spammers flooded the entire forum, there is no effective defense against the wrong set of rules. 20 posts per day+unlimited spots and two days ago there is 300+ participants in this signature campaign. I have no doubt that the situation will only get worse, much worse than to open one thread and see how a quality conversation is when one account and his alts abuse signature campaign.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5188341.60 (from post 75).

Well this is something yahoo should be dealing with as that's his job now. As long as he kicks the problem users off and gets on top of things then there should be no issues. If he doesn't then that's a different matter. There's a few from that thread you linked that are suspicious though:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=809633 aysg76 gap from April 22, 2019 to September 29, 2019
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=308192 btccoffee April 05, 2019 to September 28, 2019

These two are almost certainly alts posting back to back:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=770367 Ailmand February 13, 2016
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=775064 Inkdatar February 18, 2016

Probably unrelated but this user has a huge gap in his posts from November 29, 2017 to July 18, 2019:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=143378 Kyraishi

I don't think they care about the health of Bitcointalk at all.

Well they should if they want to promote it here because they had their signatures blacklisted last time they did nothing.
1810  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: YoBit Signature Campaign (Bitcointalk) on: October 01, 2019, 09:13:49 AM
Hello. I was wondering if posts in Off-topic sub-forum are not counted in to total posts? If they are not - I'm wondering why? Because I think you still get the signature shown there to the same BitcoinTalk.org members that use Bitcoin in general..

In my opinion, off topic is kind of useless section so its just understandable if signature campaigns don't pay posts made there. There are lots of sections in the forum that you can get paid, why bother on off topic section mate?

Why not if they're paying for posts in there and that's what he wants to know. If they do pay for posts in off topic then people are going to post there, but the issue is quality of content. People can make good posts in there but the manager will need to keep an eye on those that do but if he does then there shouldn't be any issues.

I've asked Yobit why I'm not payd. This is the answer.

So, why you think you can leave negative feedback, when Yahoo is announcing Yobit's campaigns? https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5188047.0 Why there is no your negative feedback too?

That looks fishy as fuck and looks like a scam to me. Yobit also uses .net not .ch. Are you sure you're not using some phishing website? It seems weird that a site would ask you to do this sort of verification and for such a high amount of money.
1811  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: BitcoinNews.com's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: October 01, 2019, 09:04:15 AM
you have the first and the fourth under the same nickname

Correct. I'm first and fourth on the points table currently but I'll probably make it so only one person can win only one prize from the consolation spots just so one person doesn't end up cleaning up. With that being said, I'm almost certain 14.5 will be too low to win anything by the end of the season. Maybe all the spots will be beaten eventually as it's still very early in the league really.

I'm just curious - usually only the top one from that round goes to the leaderboard. Now 2 teams went because they have the same score?

Yes. If it's tied then I guess we'll have count them both. It happened in Sept as well with BitcoinSupremo & hahay tying that week:

Top five highest scorers so far:

cryptofrka 16.5
hilariousandco 14.5
Sojourner 14.5
BitcoinSupremo 13 tied
hahay 13 tied

But like I said those sorts of low scores will quickly be usurped.
1812  Other / Meta / Re: Maximum number of posts eligible for payment on: October 01, 2019, 08:51:48 AM
As I've said before, it's not what you're paid or how many posts you're required/allowed to do, but the quality of the managers and the users they allow on their campaigns. 20 posts a day isn't too bad  and at least it's not a required minimum so nobody is forced to do that but the issue is is when people abuse it and spam 20 low quality posts as fast as they can but yahoo should be getting rid of those ones now.  I really doubt theymos is going to start getting involved with how many posts a campaign can or can't pay for and what amount they pay people to do but and enforcing that would be tricky and time-consuming, but we can punish those who don't meet some minimum standards by signature blacklists etc and that's something I think we should be doing to campaigns that clearly cross the line like Yobit have in the past. As long as campaigns have reputable managers or just ones that do their job then there would be little issue with signature campaigns so that's something we need to encourage.
1813  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: BitcoinNews.com's UEFA Champions League Football Preditor Pool Discussion thread on: October 01, 2019, 08:35:27 AM
Since I sucked so hard in our German pool last weekend, I will now focus on the CL pool guys... Sorry about that! Cheesy

There's a German pool?  You guys sure sucked at getting the word out.  Would've joined there too if I knew somebody got it up going.

Anyway big_daddy you bastard.  I thought I was leading this pool!  Lolol.

I think there's another as well. Someone PMd me a while back asking if they could do it. Would be cool if people started doing them for multiple leagues around the world. I'm good with just the PL and CL though (and the Euros/World cups when they come around. CL is already difficult enough to pick and I don't know enough about any other leagues to make even half accurate predictions.

Yes we do (only 10 guys though) but we didnt "go international", meaning we didnt promote it outside the German local forum, haha. Cheesy Was already too late when I thought about that even though we have only played 3 rounds so far - the thing is, we are using a German site for the pool so it  would be difficult for Non-German speakers I guess.

You should use superbru next time and maybe more players will get involved.

Other than that, our pool rocks though with a nice prize as well as great sponsors! The biggest German language betting forum as well as Sportsbet.io are supporting our pool! =)

How did you get the sportsbet sponsorship? I'm hoping one day we can collab on these pools with a big bookie and superboost the prizepot for everyone.
1814  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: BitcoinNews.com's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: October 01, 2019, 08:23:07 AM
Straight into the (joint) top spot with LTU_btc with 20.5 points for the consolation prizes:

hilariousandco 20.5
LTU_btc 20.5
cryptofrka 16.5
hilariousandco 14.5
Sojourner 14.5

I think that's the first time ever I got points from every single game. Got 1.5 from all except one game. Not sure I'll beat this round but goes to show that even the bottom of the leader-board can still come out top if they can get good results so not over yet.

1-1 was quite a popular score on last nights game with 8 users going for it. Two went for 2-2. Most others backed the Arsenal win so shows you how much faith people have in United right now.

Also glad to see var actually being used to correct a mistake instead of giving them for millimetres offside. Surprised the linesman got that one wrong as he was way onside.
1815  Other / Meta / Re: Ban for trolling on: September 30, 2019, 05:17:53 PM
One man's troll is another man's freedom fighter basement-dwelling idiot no-life. Yes, people can and sometimes are banned for trolling but you really need to be going full-retard for that to happen. Game-Protect is a tricky one. He seems to (try) make his money by hassling bitcoin gambling companies and there's been half a dozen complaints about him over the years but pointing out that casinos often don't have a licence or him now allegedly scamming someone aren't reasons to ban him as annoying as he may be. If you feel he should be banned for breaking the rules then either post the evidence in here on the infractions or report them to the mods.
1816  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: September 30, 2019, 09:44:53 AM
Wow nice information mate. it's more simple than Fantasy league. That's prediction score right? interesting, i'll check that thread. by the way it has been game week 7, is it already too late if I join now? or i should waiting until next season?

Well you can join at any point but you would be unlikely to win a top spot unless you're a very good predictor and climb up the top with very good form. However, you are always in with a shot at winning a consolation prize by getting the highest points in a weekly round (though maybe not worth it for you):

Consolation prizes for the top five users who score the most from a weekly round:

0.005 1st
0.0025 2nd
0.0025 3rd
0.0025 4th
0.0025 5th

You could also join the Champions League pool instead if you want as you've only missed one round so far so you'd have a much better shot at that (the next round starts tomorrow): https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4919683.0

Everyone is talking about Leicester today, so did I however tomorrow the big match is waiting for me. Man Utd vs Arsenal. I am expecting Arsenal to win in fact in my acca 4 I have it as one of the selection. The other three (Liverpool, Chelsea, City) own.

2mBTC will bring me 13mBTC if Arsenal make it to have 3 full points.

Come on Arsenal!
Mate, you should have looked at Arsenal's record at old Trafford before you gave it a win  Shocked . The record is very horrible let alone Arsenal's recent away record.
Even when Manchester United are very poor, they always got away of beating or drawing with Arsenal at OT.

Anyway i hope you win some BTC out of it  Smiley

I don't think you should look too much into past form given United's very poor current run. I wouldn't at all be surprised if United lost, but personally I think I can see a draw here.
1817  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: BitcoinNews.com's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: September 30, 2019, 09:28:35 AM
Some high scores in our pool so far this match week. I just about cling on to 1st place at the moment but it’s so close, even between the top 15.

Yeah. A lot of people did very well including me this time. Joint 1st at the moment. I got a point from every game so far which I don't think I've done before. I think Leicester should comfortably win today but the Man United/Arsenal game tomorrow will be tricky. United are too unpredictable at the moment and Arsenal are doing pretty well so I might go for a draw. United should win and I think they might just edge it but that uncertainty and unpredictability is turning me towards the draw.

I went -

Leicester 2-0 Newcastle
Man Utd 1-2 Arsenal

Thanks for arranging this for us again hilarious, really does make this part of the forum fun & worthwhile for me.
I’m really enjoying being a part of it again.

No thanks necessary. It doesn't take much to organise really as superbru luckily does everything we need and I probably enjoy it as much as anyone else. Gives me something to look forward to on the weekend and makes you care about games you would otherwise have no interest in so a lot of entertainment for a measly £25 quid or so.

The United game looks like it's going to be the decider on who comes out top on points from the weekly round. The top five are all in the running if they can get the full 3 points:

LTU_btc 17.5

hilariousandco 16.5

MoSala 16

tokeweed 15.5

bigdaddy 15

LTU has already gone to the top of the leaderboard in weekly round points and with one game to go. Current consolation prize winner leaderboard:

cryptofrka 16.5
hilariousandco 14.5
Sojourner 14.5
Brainboss 14

So remember even if you're unlikely to win a top spot you can always get a consolation prize. It's still to early to count yourself out though as a run of good forum can quickly take you to the top so don't give up.

As expected, it's going well for Leicester so far. Early red card made it easier but Newcastle is a really strong contender for the drop this season. They are horrible, Ashley is killing that club for far too long.

Leicester are doing really well this season, though this result should be expected from a ten-man Newcastle team. Liverpool are playing Leicester next week and that could be an interesting game. Could they take some points away from Liverpool? At Anfield I'm not so sure but it will be a game to watch.
1818  Other / Meta / Re: Stats question - Females in Bitcointalk? on: September 30, 2019, 09:09:19 AM
Probably 98% of people who put female as their gender here aren't female. Some people just put their gender to female just because it's there. If you could identify as an attack helicopter I'm sure that would be chosen just as much if not more. Claiming or pretending to be female is also often a tactic scammers use because sadly a lot of men let their guard down when they think they're talking to a woman. Who was that guy that disappear because of Alia? Nullius?

I think there's probably more women here these days than they used to be though, especially from developing countries, as signature campaigns are an easy thing someone can do from home.

No exact number, But I can say there are here.
Base on my personal experience all of the online community that I joined has female users
I talk to them in person and gives their social media and came to know each other.

Don't you Think Lauda is a female or its just Her/His name?

This is another example of how easy it is to fool someone here (or online in general). Often all you need is a female-sounding name and people will assume you're one. It's always blatantly obvious to me when someone comes here and they're trying way too hard to let everyone know they're a female and I can spot it a mile off and what they're trying to do (just to clarify: that's not what I'm claiming lauda is doing, but rather how everyone assumes he's a female merely because of the name).

Yeah, i thought this match will end up with no goal 0-0 but nope, finally there is a goal from Wijnaldum. I hope there will be 1 more goal from liverpool before the match end, 6 minutes left. 0-2 for Liverpool let's frickin go.
Full Time score 0-1 for Liverpool I don't think this is a good sign for Liverpool because only win with one goal

A win is a win. Doesn't matter by how many goals or even how scrappy the goal was (which it was a goalkeeping error in this instance: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PE0x_QuIbJ0). As long as Liverpool keep winning or at least getting a point from a game then that's all that matters.
