Your link appears to be broken.
is it so hard removing the "%22" from the start and end of the link and putting ":" between http and //? ah wait, for some ppl it is...
here we go:

1802  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Open-Transactions / Moneychanger (latest release: v0.87e) on: January 04, 2013, 10:23:22 PM
this wont work on Ubuntu Lucid:

Code:
checking for PKGS... configure: error: in `/home/k1773r/git/Open-Transactions':
configure: error: The pkg-config script could not be found or is too old.  Make sure it
is in your PATH or set the PKG_CONFIG environment variable to the full
path to pkg-config.

pkg-config is working therefore clearly not my fault.

i tryd this now twice, still dosnt work (following compiling guides).
1803  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Interest for Bitcoin penny auction site on: January 04, 2013, 09:25:48 PM
Penny auctions are like gambling. There is always demand for it. However smart people know the odds, and won't play. Therefore you need lots of stupid people.
it needs alot of stupid ppls, but there are enough of them! just look at Satoshi Dice!
1804  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [POLL] Should we recommend that noobs use an alternative client? on: January 04, 2013, 09:13:19 PM
u forgot Armory... sad
1805  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [400GH/s] p2pool: Decentralized, DoS-resistant, Hop-Proof pool on: January 04, 2013, 08:56:59 PM
It still leaks memory, after less than a day I'm already around 1 Gb of ram used.
spiccioli

I can confirm this. 2 GB (RES) in 2-3 days and then I'm forced to restart.

650MB after 2 days, which platform are u on?
1806  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Will bitcoins be illegalized in 2013? on: January 04, 2013, 08:14:37 PM
Yes, it will. So will be stupidity.
so all stupid ppls are executed? finally! Cheesy
1807  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Merge Mine FRC - Start a bounty? on: January 03, 2013, 08:39:08 PM
applying the MM patches should do the trick, altough everyone would have to upgrade to work (otherwise it will only produce orphans).
1808  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Devcoin on: January 03, 2013, 07:32:59 PM
Is this something I'll need to do every so often? Or is it a one time thing?
if it wont fetch the new ones automatically u have to do this every 4k blocks.
1809  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: P2pool WebUI - Test version 0.01 on: January 03, 2013, 07:16:25 PM
I made a user-friendly UI for the p2pool. Dont know if there is any interest and thats why i released it too early, to see if people really need(think is useful) something like that.
You can read more and download the file from here: http://forum.litecoin.net/index.php/topic,1025.msg5394.html

Any opinions suggestions are welcome.
Free to use, free to modify, free to distribute as the original p2pool.

Files in archive must be put in in the web-static directory of p2pool

Any donations are welcome, and shows me that there is some interest.

This is pre-beta actually and has nothing to do of what it will become.
It also may inspire any more experianced web developers to build something fantastic.

Note to devs: My code is dirty Tongue

Thanks goes to Greedi for hosting it
just checked the source (as i dont need it, i got p2pool integrated into conky), your code isnt so dirty, i saw far, far worse things!
1810  Other / Off-topic / Re: READ THIS IF YOU WERE MY BUYER IN THE PAST VERY VERY IMPORTANT on: January 03, 2013, 07:00:56 PM
What does anyone make of this? Torac expressed interest in buying something from me.

Awesome, but I can only pay you in 1-2 months or so. Not sure when, maybe I can pay you faster. As I said my paypal is limited and I will have to pay you once they unlimit it then I can buy bitcoins to pay you. I have 600$ stuck there so it is not a problem, I am willing to pay you 5$ extra of what you sell them for. But only when I can pay you, it will be asap, sorry for the delay.
If they sell it for a limited time in your university let me know, I have 8 BTC or so in my wallet the thing is I have to keep it in case someone needs refunds from me and I also need it from something else, but if it is limited time and I must pay you in a rush for them I will. But if you can wait for the payment it would be great.

I am not going to buying anything from you anymore. - Fuck you, stupid seller! Everything must be HIGH TRUST AND MUST BE SECRET, STUPID SELLER.
ur kidding? u sell stolen accounts and you state "it must be HIGH TRUST AND MUST BE SECRET, STUPID SELLER.". therefore u are a bad, trustless and stupid seller? ouch!

Oh wow.

But shouldn't he take that on with Erik?
Wait! Apparently he does: https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Erik_Voorhees (In his own way)

This has much potential, I haven't had this of a chuckle since the brief period Atlas was allowed to post again.

Actually, to be blunt, the guy is simply making a fool of Bitcoin.

He posts personal opinions all over the Bitcoin wiki - to the point where it isn't much use as a reliable, objective wiki.

A lot of what he has posted would be automatically revoked by the rules of the original wikipedia

Personal opinions are not the point of a public wiki about Bitcoin - and his personal opinions just make Bitcoin look foolish.

I'll give yet another example of it related to something I'm involved in (of course) cgminer:
https://en.bitcoin.it/w/index.php?title=P2Pool&action=historysubmit&diff=31023&oldid=30982

Yes the guy is complete fail.
But I consider the wiki itself not worth making any effort on due to crap like this thread points out, so I've never bothered to try to get undone that crap change he did.

Edit: Or the previous change where he simply removed cgminer:
https://en.bitcoin.it/w/index.php?title=P2Pool&action=historysubmit&diff=28709&oldid=28414
worst part is core devs do agree with such things...

I have a question about what hash rate I am getting.

Does this mean I am getting 1375Mh/s or 677.9Mh/s? Thanks in advance.
theres nowhere 1375Mh/s in this screenshot, how did u come up with this...
1816  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [ANN] SwarmStream.org - Privacy-focused Torrent Service on: January 02, 2013, 11:23:05 PM
Thanks, K1773R!

I'm pleased to announce that SwarmStream.org now has torrent search capability! With the disappearance of BTJunkie, Demonoid, and others, I'm certain many of you have had difficulty finding some torrents. The Pirate Bay is great but it certainly is not as good as our beloved Demonoid and BTJunkie.

As the hint on SwarmStream indicates, you can use "@name" and "@content" to more accurately find your content. Here is an example: http://swarmstream.org/search?q=%40name%20Pioneer%20One%20%40content%20avi&order=0&p=0

You can then sort your results by Relevance, Seeders, Rating, Date Added, Size, or Files.

Enjoy!

which sites are searchable?
1817  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Best way to make user proof that he owns address? on: January 02, 2013, 09:31:20 PM
it even can be a static text since the sign will always be different for each address Wink
1818  Other / Off-topic / Re: READ THIS IF YOU WERE MY BUYER IN THE PAST VERY VERY IMPORTANT on: January 02, 2013, 09:15:18 PM

torac

Take your business else where.

I, for one, would prefer that illegal activity not take place on the bitcointalk.org forums.

Thank you.

what is he selling?
