1801  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] DGEX.com multicurrency exchange BTC <-> NXT no trading fees on: January 04, 2014, 10:56:35 PM
Honestly, the trading volume reported by DGEX is highly suspicious.

If you look at comparables like Ripple and Mastercoin that have their own exchanges,  DGEX has 10 times larger volume.   In fact,  DGEX has volume larger than both Quark and DOGE combined!

I seriously doubt that there is that much BTC deposited in DGEX to support this kind of trade volume.

This is all fake, is it?...... https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AmpuZa3xuvmzdFVVZjRrRi1zYXdwSENsaFRkd3lCTmc&usp=sharing&richtext=true#gid=0

Yes, I suspect the BTC used to purchase the NXT is fake.  The reason I do say this is that the volume really can't be believed.  Volume more inline with Mastercoin or Ripple would be more likely.

The coins that come in and out of my DGEX account seem real to me. Tongue There are 722 pages of posts on the NXT thread on bitcointalk - it's not hard to believe that there's a lot of trading volume based upon community interest.
Together with early adopters selling off, and the rate of rise of NXT accounts, the figures are consistent as far as im concerned.
1802  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Trading Thread for Nxt :: Descendant of Bitcoin on: January 04, 2014, 11:49:03 AM
Guys, how much fees are acceptable to you for opening a new exchange?

I personally prefer to see trading fees and not withdrawal fees. I dont mind paying 0.35% for entrance and exit (0.7% Round-Trip), and for that to be reduced for increased volume trading.

1804  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Scam Report: Projects on: January 03, 2014, 03:17:42 PM
Recommended by whom? Projects traded coins - buying and selling equipment seems like an odd departure for him.

Are any of you UK based? Someone should speak with the authorities asap.

That was me who recommended him.

On the 23rd December, i contacted Projects to exercise a call option i had purchased from him weeks ago. After he agreed to settle the trade the next day via BT, he went on to explain that he had 4 x KnC pre orders that he would like to sell, as he owed some people money. Given that i have successfully dealt with Projects over the last 9 months, I agreed to get in touch with some people i thought may be interested, ffss being one of them.

Looks like i was used here in a particularly nasty and potentiality criminal way, and so, if someone needs recent communication between myself and Projects, let me know, while im still angry.
I have never had his phone number, but confirm the address posted in this thread is the one i have.

You will notice i left him a positive trust rating......as he paid the 4 figure sum he promised!!
Bitter sweet, indeed.

Wow Projects, what the hell have you done?

LTC : the sleeper has awaken

Is this a Charlie Lee/Coinbase story, or is it already out there? He kinda insinuated Coinbase should/would trade LTC, on LetsTalkBitcoin.

So, seriously. How does one avoid the image block?

https://i.imgur.com/ZFGqlEi.png
Lines and stuff

The fact that the volume is weak doesn't mean much, volume was very weak just before the rally from 200 to 400 as well and also it's holiday. And RSI and StochRSI are not very reliable indicators imo, I prefer to look at MACD which is about to crossover on both the 1d and 4h timescale. That is usually a bullish sign, and the volume might be coming very soon with it as well. But we'll see, the bearish scenario is not out of the picture just yet.

How come StochRSI never went back to overbought during the first climb from 800. It never even crossed 70 up until now and this weird uptrend..

EDIT: Can you "make" that happen so as to trick people into thinking the top is not reached yet?

Create a rumor so people can buy into it, and then sell the fact, is the usual process.

Ask Patel. He had a view about the price of MSC yesterday!  Lips sealed

lol were the one that bought the last 2.53 msc leftover @ 0.2?

Thankfully not, as that would have really pissed me off!  Smiley
1811  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: MasterCoin Buyer/Seller Thread on: December 29, 2013, 07:36:32 PM
So it was you who got that 100+ order @0.20 on one of the exchanges yesterday. I getcha.  Wink

Haha this just made my day!  Grin

The block hit, and I knew I had little time left. It was a 10 second victory my friend.

I watched the seller panic down in multiple orders from 0.25. You nailed it, cos he weren't going any lower.  Cool

What caused the panic yesterday? Any Idea?

Its so pathetic when a scammer (journeytodogecoin) tries to accuse the other party of scamming because they didn't fall for the scam.

Lol. Thats basically what we just witnessed. I have done plenty of trades with Doron and they all went well.

When something seems to good to be true, it probably is. Unless its on an exchange, in that case, grab that shit. lol

1814  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: December 29, 2013, 10:10:11 AM
In fact, dozens of people invested $130 or less in Nxt a few months ago and now own the equivalent of 6000 BTC.
I have a hard time believing that it's actually possible for a dozen people to all cash out a total of 72000 BTC from that market.

I seriously doubt it is possible to cash out 50 BTC from that market, I saw that exchange Smiley But some people may profit a little while it's still alive, sure.

"Total Volume:    295815629.92 NXT (9005.4240 BTC)"

You can add ~20% for off-exchange trades, and the majority of that figure happened above 0.00001btc/nxt
1815  Economy / Securities / Re: [BitFunder] Moving Forward/Resolution Process on: December 28, 2013, 12:07:12 PM
Ukyo, can you at least tell us if the funds that are currently unavailable are the same funds that will be dispersed in the future or if you are replacing those funds?

IE, are the bitcoin that are unavailable the same Bitcoin you are trying to release to users or are you drawing from a different pool of coins?

Also, any ETA on the Ukyo.Loan disbursement?

If the original funds become available they will be dispersed.
In the mean time we are working on alternative methods to make funds available to users with.

As for the loan, my current goal is to complete the AsicMiner claim portal and then begin working on the the new loan management system.

I did not sell peoples coins.

-Ukyo

If the original funds become available...

Y'all know the differece between IF and WHEN ?

It would also be fair to include the stated intent re alternative methods. Yes, 'time' to do this, is going to drive people nuts (me included), but the intention is quite clear.

Also, some people will remember TF's galling post re unpaid depts. Probably best Ukyo deals with it privately, and hope the 'right thing' is decided.

the amount of time and resources spent by people trolling this thread is mind boggling.

Tis a psychologist dream thread, this.

You got crumbs, the absolute pro trollster who takes pushing susceptible peoples buttons, to new levels, but who's new found skill has become an unhealthy obsessive trait.
You got VE, the master Schrodinger troll flipper, where you cant always tell if he is in troll mode or not.
And you have the delusional and self-righteous trolls who dont actually realise or are aware they are trolls, in the shape of StuartUK and Zumero.

Have had it all here.

So let me get this straight the raided because some Rs20-30 rupees where traded. One bitcoin currently costs Rs 46600

This made me lol very hard:

No country has legalised Bitcoin as of now because of its opaque nature

Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

"Bitcoin came into existence just 3-year ago......."

Lazy journalism, considering Bitcoin is 9 days from its 5th birthday.
