1801  Economy / Gambling / Re: Is antillephone a legit Curacao casino Validator? on: February 28, 2023, 05:39:52 PM
Antillephone is not legit!

Multiple casinos claiming to operate under the 8048/JAZ license scammed me!

As you say crypto site, this license does not cover crypto currencies.
Yes many scammy offshore/crypto casinos are operating from Curacao with those dubious sub-licenses given to almost anyone without any control, that's why Curacao is ending this system and is replacing it with a new one with licenses now given directly by the curaçaoan gambling authorities, the Curaçao Gaming Control Board (aka GCB) that will become the Curaçao Gaming Authority (CGA) soon.
https://www.gamingcontrolcuracao.org/regulation/online-gaming
Quote
The government of Curacao is in the process of modernizing its gambling legislation to bring it in line with international standards and to adopt a responsible gaming policy that spans all gaming activities that are and will be licensed in the jurisdiction.

Based on this new legislation, the GCB will be converted into a new independent licensing and supervisory authority for all games of chance.

The first gaming sector to be legalized under this new law shall be remote gaming.

Quote
The current Curacao gambling regime is considered one of the most liberal in the world, with low costs, minimal requirements, and not much in the way of supervision or scrutiny. The changes put forward by the Curacao government include:

  • The establishment of the Curacao Gaming Authority to oversee all licensing and gaming operations;
  • The issuance of B2C licenses and B2B licenses for operators;
  • Licensing fees start at EUR 4000 for an application, EUR 12,000 a year once approved, and EUR 250 per month for each URL;
  • At least three employees were hired into key positions and located on the island;
  • Enhanced monitoring and anti-money laundering controls.

I was praying you were right even if I had no real hopes it will be true since many players wait the last days/hours to play seriously in this kind of tournament but finally someone else took the 10th position with a big 1000+ multiplier unfortunately for me Embarrassed I won't chase him and I'm not even sure he won't be kicked out by another guy. Anyway when you say "to*****in" and "ma*d" are competitors from another casino, you mean they belong to another casino sig campaign or you mean they are mostly playing elsewhere?

So sad bro, but that's how the competition is nothing that can stop it we can try it again on another time, hopefully Livecasino provides multiplier race every month
Oh yeah, the 2 users I mentioned are users of this forum they are active in several race competitions they are also members of the local gambling community and I invite them to play in this casino. Strangely I told them the strategy in the race competition but as you can see those who managed to take place in the standings  Cheesy  it seems they have found a new strategy lol.
It's nice to see big players joining Livecasino, it shows how this casino and this campaign are managed professionally and can be attractive for high rollers, I hope newcomers will keep coming and leave their feedbacks here.
BTW a new table games provider seems to have been added recently Live solutions, it's a really funny concept because dealers are running the games from their home through their webcams LOL Cheesy

On the transfer of fund from  Bitcasino to Livecasino, I withdraw it first to my wallet then send it to another casino.  I believe there is no direct transfer for Bitcasino and livecasino.
I'm also doing the same thing but it's not easy to make such transferts in USDT without paying rather high fees. So which wallet are you using to make those transferts in USDT please? I was using the TRON network and Trust Wallet for withdrawing my USDTs and sending them to the other platforms till now, but an upgrade has occurred recently on this network/blockchain and now the fees are higher. So it would be nice for users if YOLO could allow withdrawals toward deposit addresses from other Yolo platforms (Sportsbet, Bitcasino, Livecasino, ...) for USDT at least.
I am also using tron network, I thought that there is no fee in withdrawal on Bitcasino just like in livecasino, the fee on the tron network isn't that much since I am using tronlink, it is less than a dollar I think.  I also withdraw usdt in erc20 and I believe Livecasino don't also charge a withdrawal fee on it.  Other platform may charge $3-$5 on withdrawing ERC-20 USDT and $1 on TRC20 but as far as I know Livecasino and Bitcasino do not charge any withdrawal fee.

And yes it would be a breeze if we can transfer cryptocurrency directly from LIvecasino to its sister company and vice versa.
I think you haven't transferred USDTs over Tron recently, because the network fees are high now, so it doesn't matter which wallet you are using, Tronlink or another one, if you want your transaction to be sent you will need to pay more than $1 of fees at least, as you can see in the recent USDT transactions confirmed https://tronscan.org/#/token20/TR7NHqjeKQxGTCi8q8ZY4pL8otSzgjLj6t

I think using BUSD now is the most efficient stablecoin right now because it’s still charge cheap fee.
Unfortunately there have been serious issues with BUSD recently, Paxos the issuer has stopped to mint new ones because the NYDFS and SEC ordered it and Paxos is now about to stop working with Binance on top of that https://www.reuters.com/business/finance/paxos-engaged-constructive-discussions-with-us-sec-over-binance-stablecoin-2023-02-21/
1806  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Thinking of separating my holdings into two physical locations. on: February 26, 2023, 08:59:06 PM
You just need to tell your wife where is located your encrypted seed, then she will be able to access your encrypted seed but not being able to decrypt it while your relatives will be able to access your password (if they unseal the envelope at least) but not being able to locate your encrypted seed.
You are just trusting two people instead of one. If you don't want to trust anyone, then trustless solutions are better.

AFAIK you can't spend anymore funds included in a timelocked transaction before its expiry date once your timelocked transaction has been mined.
You can spend the coins any time you like. The timelocked transaction can only be mined after the timelock has passed. If you need to spend the funds, then you can do so and then simply replace the timelocked transaction.

In addition, it implies to know at which date you will die. That's not convenient at all.
Not at all. Create the transaction for 6 months in the future. If you are still alive, invalidate it and create a new one another 6 months in the future.
It means you won't leave your seed but a signed transaction with a timelock, it implies to create a new transaction each time you spend some funds or you receive some if you want to transmit all your funds. In addition, if you spend some funds included in your last transaction and if you die or lose your memory before creating a new one, the transaction won't be usable anymore, and all your funds will be lost. So it's a convenient solution only if you don't hold much funds in altcoins, and if you only make few transactions with your Bitcoins.

You can check the service from time to time before losing your memory or dying, if you are afraid of that.
Maybe it's just me, but it seems absolutely crazy to me that you wouldn't trust your own wife to even know that you own bitcoin, but you are quite happy to trust a bunch of complete strangers (with a track record of terrible security and privacy) to store part of your back ups.
There is a difference between knowing that you own bitcoins and having access to them, in the same way as knowing you own a smartphone and knowing its pin code for example.

I've lost $25 only, my best was no more than 200x LOL in Legacy of Dead with 2 lines.
I decided to stop because the chance to win is small now, unless we have decent amount to start and play those extreme volatility slot.
Currently it is required to hit more than 774x in order to take the 10th position, while to be a bit safe, we need to hit at least 2,000x

The 10th place is the user in this forum he is @saint-loup and 2 other users are your competitors in another casino to*****in and ma*d I'm sure you know  Cheesy
I have also stopped to hunt if I managed to take place top 5 the prize might only able to cover my previous losses and that is just an opportunity not a guarantee
Maybe I will consider it if the prize increases x2 or provide 20 places Grin within 16 hours the tournament will end it seems that the current ranking is the final result.
I was praying you were right even if I had no real hopes it will be true since many players wait the last days/hours to play seriously in this kind of tournament but finally someone else took the 10th position with a big 1000+ multiplier unfortunately for me Embarrassed I won't chase him and I'm not even sure he won't be kicked out by another guy. unfortunately, you can't be helped much. Apart from some comforting words and sympathy, you can't get anything more. everything is absolutely your fault, and stake.com has no obligation to you.
do not offer any monetary reward for help, because you risk losing money there as well.

I am truly sorry for your loss, it is huge. but you have to move on.
Why do you say they have no obligation toward him? You have seen a judgement from this jurisdiction or from their gambling authorities saying that in a similar case? AFAIK being reckless doesn't give the right to anyone to steal you. This casino doesn't ask to be a security expert or at least to be an educated crypto user to register. They are locking withdrawals of long-standing and honest customers without reasons as we can see here and on review platforms, but they let a brand new account withdrawing tens of thousands US dollars he just received from a simple tip? Seriously? Was the attacker connected from the usual location of the victim at least? Was he using his usual browser, OS and user-agent?
I'm sorry but I don't think alertoriole is the only one being reckless in this case, on many platforms it couldn't have happened and I'm not sure the basic AML policies allow to do that, honestly.
1809  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com - The Leading Crypto Casino - 🦉 Drake, UFC, Watford Main Partner ⚽ 🥊 on: February 26, 2023, 06:07:50 PM
Hey Stunna, probably seems like I have a vendetta with the hack and everything else the last few days, I don't and intend on using the site moving forward. I would definitely take issue with this explanation above though. The information, perhaps not in this leak but in another definitely had sensitive information attached as rollbit has been emailing all of the users above a certain category offering them money to come to the company. They know exactly what position a player is at stake(plat diamond etc) and catered their welcome bonus around that. Many of the other diamond players i know and myself only use our email for stake alone, there is no other website no other connection to the email address. For instance my welcome bonus was 4 times higher than someone at a regular diamond level. I've said it over and over again that stake is by far the best crypto site. I just struggle to undertand why stuff like this isn't addressed? The sites targeted because you have the biggest volume and players, which is great but the security and transparency isn't near where it should be. We shouldn't be figuring out ways to secure the site from hackers, it should be secured plain and simple, other compnanies shouldn't be buying email lists and ranking lists from people. This stuff shouldn't be happening, yet it is.
That's a very interesting information about this hack, thank you for sharing it with us here. But you say the email addresses of those users have only been used for this casino, so they are maybe the same as their username. For example alertoriole@gmx.com as email address and alertoriole as username at Stake. Could you confirm they are not the same? Because as you know you can easily watch the statistics of an user or at least his VIP rank by typing /user @username in any chat room there. And I guess this feature is also available through their API. So the hacker or the Rollbit team could have made a script to check all the email address, or could have even done it manually if the number of addresses was not too large.

In addition you can split manually a seed into shares without using complex procedures, if you need a kind of SSS scheme to dispatch it in several places (without checksum though).
that would literally be like a terrible idea.  Shocked
I don't think it's terrible, because it will always stay as stronger as copying the initial seed, at least. So it doesn't weaken the seed, if you need to duplicate it.
The iancoleman page is offering this feature, and for a 2 of 3 split of a 24 words seed, it seems to remain very hard to break according to his calculations.

https://iancoleman.io/bip39/

Quote from: Saint-loup
So doing all this work manually doesn't seem to be very useful at the end, I don't see any real use case requiring it at least.
that's why they're asking people to email them if they know how to include those functionalities. just because you use a computer at some point to fund the wallet doesn't mean the entire scheme doesn't have a purpose. the title of the video should give you a hint though: MIT Bitcoin Expo 2022: Breaking Through - Long Term Trust and Analog Computers, Andrew Poelstra
That's why I weighed my words by saying it "doesn't seem" to be "very" useful, and by adding that "I don't see" any real use case "at least".
The obvious one is when you receive, inherit or find a seed while you have no access to a trustable device because you are in an isolated place (a boat, a jail, a place without electricity, ...) or because you are too poor to buy one. But apart from that one, I don't think there are many other use cases in real life to be honest.

1811  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Codex32 on: February 25, 2023, 10:48:32 PM
But why? I think you're more likely to need / want to verify the whole backup and not just the checksum. And you will need a computer for that, either way.
I mean verifying that funds are still there and everything. It is quite easy / cheap to acquire a computer of some kind, remove disk & networking, boot off USB and restore the BIP39 seed phrase backup. Then you can query some of the addresses using your full node to check that it has the balances you expect.
Yes and I would add that nobody is able to create a seed without a computer because a seed without funds is useless, and you need to know at least one address derived from this seed to be able to fill it with funds. And as everybody knows, deriving an address from a seed without a computer is not feasible.
So doing all this work manually doesn't seem to be very useful at the end, I don't see any real use case requiring it at least.
In addition you can split manually a seed into shares without using complex procedures, if you need a kind of SSS scheme to dispatch it in several places (without checksum though).
1812  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Ballet wallets on: February 25, 2023, 08:30:23 PM
How is dkbit98 wrong? Because there is a pro version that you can use to add your own passphrase, that means it is an hardware wallet? You are wrong. Ballet wallet, be it the normal or the expensive one (pro version), they are both paper wallets, they are not hardware wallets.

No, it's not wrong because I was not talking about ''PRO'' version that is much more expensive $299, compared to normal Ballet that starts from $35... that is almost nine times more expensive!
I do not know if it is true, that it comes in three packages, which makes it three of the paper wallet in metal, that would be $99.66. Still pretty expensive and better to just go for a hardware wallet instead.

In fact they don't even call it a hardware wallet on their website, they just say ''Cryptocurrency wallet'' or ''Cold Storage Crypto wallet''.
You can't change or add new addresses,so this is just glorified paper-like wallet, that can only serve as cool collectible for me.
It is not a hardware wallet, it is using the principles that paper wallets are using to operate.
No I'm not saying it is the same thing as a hardware wallet or it can replace it, I'm just saying the pro version is safe because Ballet will never know what passphrase you have chosen to generate your BIP38 key. But I agree this version is very expensive, even if you get 3 paper wallets made of steel for the price. Unfortunately hardware wallets are fragile and break down easily, it means you need to use a paper along with them in order to back up your seed when you are using them. But paper is fragile too. That's why some people could prefer a paper wallet in steel with an encrypted key to hold their Bitcoins. It allows them to access their funds at any time without using a device they have to trust, and without dealing with any complex derivation path or address format.

People who have a strong tendency to gambling will bet on anything they can. There are people who bet on the colour of the next car which is coming down the street or any other random event that may happen anytime of the routine.

And regards Academy Awards, there must be many gamblers willing to make their guesses, since movies play a big role in many people's lives and also because there is a profit opportunity available for those who consider themselves to be experts on this matter.
I agree with you, when you're a bettor you can bet on everything, including sports, games or events you don't understand. Because when you're used to betting, you know what is important to look at for placing good bets and making good guesses. Besides that klidex is right, bets are open since several days and the pools are still very low, only few hundreds of bets have been placed till now while Oscars ceremony will be held in only 2 weeks.

Long time no check in, I see you guys have finally put out the sports betting, so I might come back to check it out at some point, always looking for good odds and promos as everyone in sportsbetting does Wink

Champions League is always a good tournament to promote but don't forget Europa and Conference too!!
That is long of ton being absent from this thread and the blackjack community because it's almost getting to 6-8 months since blackjack fun launched the sportbook section.

And you can bet that blackjack has also made other improvements in various areas not only the sportsbook alone recently the site was updated and I believe that will come with some new features.

6 months?? Has it really been that long? I feel like it wasn't too long ago when they did a new version, but I don't recall the sportsbook out.

I was actually commenting because of the post I saw on the same day from sujonali about sportsbetting finally been live (but I guess it just meant it's finally live AGAIN?

Saint-loup and Maus0728 how have your investment performed so far? I haven't invested in a site since I stopped at Bitvest a couple of years ago but it does seem like something I would do again.

I only remember my experience here wasn't so smooth before, communication wise anyway. Has that improved?
How do you know I had an investment there? I didn't remember it myself LOL It has been a good surprise for me, to discover I staked 6mbtc there several months ago indeed. 15% APY is a very nice ROI, but it's sad they don't accept DOGE coins, while many gamblers are using them. I wouldn't tell it's a 'trap' as BitcoinHunt3r says, I would rather call it a clever feature.

Why don't you open a thread on this matter instead of posting here, I don't think players eventually experiencing the same issue will bother to look at a thread dealing with the Crypto Gambling Foundation. You claim to have played around 180 000 hands but when it was precisely? During the very last months, or over several years? If a bug has happened several years ago, it can been fixed now, and it wouldn't be possible to spot it now. In addition a game can be mathematically provably fair but having a lowest RTP than announced because of its rules for example. But as TwitchySeal said, at Blackjack the 99.5% RTP is only achievable if you apply the basic strategy, otherwise it's way lower.

Please be very careful when playing slots on this site. Particularly hacksaw, no limit, netent, relax, truelab, spinza, blueguru games.

Most games from these providers have duplicate versions of these games with different RTP's. Depending which image for game you click, you get different RTP's. For Hacksaw, for example, it can be 88%, 92%, 94% or 96% RTP. (https://imgur.com/a/OmfV4G2 and  https://imgur.com/uIVt2jd ). After helping( as I was thinking) player on chat, mentioning he's playing 88% RTP version (https://imgur.com/8xsQdqs ) while there is exactly the same game with 96% RTP and posting relevant message in Discord #suggestions, in 1 hour I was banned from site and Discord.

Fact that these duplicate versions exist for months ( for NoLimit for over year) and after repeated polite suggestions that having 88% RTP slots while EVERY(?)other casino has only 96% versions is well below industry standards, leads me tend to ask if it's done on purpose (so players would loose really fast)? We are talking about most popular gaming slot providers in industry. I assume removing them don't need doctorate degree or more than 1h of work. Why it hasn't been done for many months? Players first? Right? The honesty is best policy? Even the TombstoneRip slot in the first page promoted isn't 96% version.

I have even prepared popcorn to watch big streamers face when he understands that he plays 88% RTP game. Of course it's their casino, their rules. Only you choose where to play.
It's sad you have been banned, I hope you have been able to withdraw your funds at least. Anyway I think it's bad for a casino to only offer the lowest RTP versions but I don't think it's unacceptable to offer several versions of the same slots, because sometimes you can get different features in the different versions of the game, for example the minimum stake can be smaller in some versions, or you can activate longer automatic spin sessions for example, sometimes the highest multipliers are bigger in lower RTP versions, etc
