rockxie just announced  the  new&mini blade. Here: http://vdisk.weibo.com/s/Jk4aV

new blade: 10GH/s=18.88BTC Group buy 18.68BTC
mini blade: 5GH/s=9.88BTC     Group buy 9.68BTC

here we go, people!  who cares about tomorrow's dividend, I am ready for NEXT WEEK!

those are crazy prices! People are going to tear arms of anyone that will have these on hand! I hope they will be for sale in other places than in China!

Crazy expensive.

I wish you people who don't seem to be capable of basic maths would stop spreading complete and utter bullshit in the hopes of pumping and dumping.

10 BTC for a 5 Gh/s miner is shite. Jalapenos and K16s are a third of that price at the current exchange rate. The mini Blade would have to mine about 6.5 BTC before a Jalapeno or K16 ordered today actually shipped. Based on a difficulty of 25,590,229 (about 20% increase), the mini Blade would earn 0.092 BTC per day. By keeping the difficulty constant, it would take 66 days to mine 6.5 BTC. If we assume the difficulty increase by 15% per pound, then we get the following:

0.0982 * 12 = 1.1784
0.0851 * 12 = 1.0212
0.0740 * 12 = 0.888
0.0643 * 12 = 0.7716
0.0559 * 12 = 0.6708
0.0559 * 12 = 0.6708
0.0425 * 12 = 0.51
0.0369 * 12 = 0.4428
0.0321 * 12 = 0.3852

That's 6.5388 BTC over the next 108 days after this coming difficulty increase.

Once again, ASICMiner has set its prices to rip off gullible idiots who can't count and the competition, even though they're not shipping from the shelf yet, is still more profitable.

I love how people compare asicminer miners to BFL miner. Dude. I mean dude. You know that when you order ASICMINER device you get it within couple days? If you were to order Jalapeňo today you will be happy to get it this year. Enough said.

Did you even bother to read the post you responded to? I compared the mini-Blade with a Jalapeno and a Klondike K16, then I showed that in order for the mini-Blade to be competitive, you have to assume that difficulty will not increase for the next 2 months. So, if you buy a mini-Blade today and it ships just in time to come online after this difficulty increase, and I buy a K16 today and it's shipped to me in 2 month time, the K16 will be more profitable and no amount of bullshit will change that fact.

Given that fact, how can you possibly claim that they're not still overpriced?

1822  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER Speculation Thread on: July 10, 2013, 11:27:44 AM
I did not realize nothing was more profitable than something... shit, learn something new each day

You can keep repeating that nonsense as much you want, but you'd have to be the most idiotic of idiots to actually believe that BFL hasn't shipped any products. Jalapenos are currently mining as we speak, can the same be said of mini Blades? So yes, something (Jalapeno) is more profitable than nothing (mini Blade).

BFL are currently saying all back orders will be shipped by September, that's only 2 months away. K16s will be shipping as well by then. Like I have just shown with maths, instead of the nonsense spewed by you pumpers, it would take 2 months of mining with no difficulty increases for a mini Blade to be as profitable as its competition. That's not going to happen.

Instead of spewing nonsense, how about you show some maths which would indicate that these devices are at least as profitable as a Jalapeno and K16. You won't do that because you can't.

Thanks again.

You seriously need to implement some automation. While you think the load may not necessitate it, it sucks waiting hours for shares to be transferred back and watching the opportunity to profit pass by before your eyes.

And on that note, do your transfers, man!  Wink
1826  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Difficulty speculation for the round started on 29/6/13 on: July 07, 2013, 02:00:17 PM
May I ask why you're doing this?  Smiley

There's a math puzzle factor to this and maybe a flip a coin aspect too.  But over the last 3-4 months difficulty changes have been sort of unpredictable - there was even a decrease if I remember correctly.

All due to a looong list of factors that affect the total network hashrate, including the less obvious ones like homemade rig uptime lapses, to FPGAs being sent back to BFL, people going on holidays and just not caring, to individual miners switching to other pools, to solo, to other cryptocurrencies ....

Don't get me wrong I'm tracking things too but why such a real time approach?

No reason really. Just curious to see how its progressing.
1827  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Difficulty speculation for the round started on 29/6/13 on: July 07, 2013, 12:46:53 AM
Over the 9th period, the difficulty increased by about 3%. If the following periods were all at least 3% then the difficulty at the end of the round would be at least 30%. If difficulty starts to increase by more than 3% per period then the difficulty increase could be as high as 40% at the end of the round. The next period of two should shed some insight on whether to expect 20% or 40%.
1828  Economy / Securities / Re: [BTC-TC] Deprived Mining Speculation (DMS) on: July 06, 2013, 07:52:13 AM
I'm still surprised how big the demand for Mining is. Selling gives at least double the dividend (for expected difficulty change), so its price should be at least double that of mining...  Shocked

Why get paid from one of them when you can get paid from both? I think you'll find that selling will shoot up in price as dividend day approaches and people switch from holding MINING to holding SELLING.
1829  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER Speculation Thread on: July 05, 2013, 07:44:31 PM
consider that the new blades should be announced/possibly go on sale around July 10.

If btc/usd is still low by then, how will that affect blade sales?  you can buy more blade per USD when btc is down.

I think most people expect us/btc to rise in the next months, so buying mining equipment when btc are cheap, especially when sold in btc, should be a good investment.

Has it been announced that the new Blades will be available for sale? As far as I'm aware, only 150 Blades have been auctioned off so far. What makes you think anything will be different with the new Blades?
1830  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER Speculation Thread on: July 05, 2013, 07:36:37 PM
Yep, me too....as soon as Friedcat shares some new knowledge it is going to shoot back up.

More usb erupters will also be in stock soon...

I think people will be more weary next time, especially those that lost BTC this time. If you buy shares just because Friedcat makes a post, then you're a fool. Anyone who actually does the maths will see instantly that AM shares at the current price offer terrible value compared to other mining options. Competition will force them to offer competitive pricing.

People here can pump the stock as much as they want but that's only going to make AM even worse value and we'll see a repeat of this cycle. That's just going to cause investors to look elsewhere.
1831  Other / Meta / Re: [Feature added] Color besides usernames for Ignored by % of established members. on: July 05, 2013, 04:43:02 PM
When people call you a troll for making posts they disagree with and put you on their ignore list for replying to people who took the time to respond to your comments, the whole system becomes meaningless and just encourages circle-jerks.

I don't even understand why people would want to put anyone on an ignore list. I'd love one of the most ignored users to post the greatest bitcoin tip ever. People would then understand how stupid it is to ignore everything said by a person because they once said something you disagree with.
1832  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Difficulty speculation for the round started on 29/6/13 on: July 05, 2013, 04:27:35 PM
Half way through the round now. There were major increases in difficulty at the beginning of the round. Do you think that was mostly due to hashing power or luck?
1833  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER Speculation Thread on: July 05, 2013, 03:49:39 PM
I saw some fake walls today, now we are talking manipulation ! Smiley

big ones, too.  These manipulators want AM around 4.  Notice when those sell walls disappeared, they started filling buy orders to fake panic.

The hashrate's been lowish for a few days now. I wonder what Friedcat's up to.
Maybe testing new blades.

We probably won't get an updated until after next week's dividend, at which time, he'll probably announce the new blades for sale.

Discounting the 150 second hand Blades that AM auctioned off for 50 BTC, what Blades have AM sold?
1834  Economy / Securities / Re: [BTC-TC] Deprived Mining Speculation (DMS) on: July 05, 2013, 12:41:11 PM
Hi!

How long does it typically take to convert PURCHASE?

Depends whether I'm awake or asleep.  I check regularly for transfers in and do transfers out soon as I notice.  You sent whilst I was asleep - so had a longer wait.

So when do you usually sleep? What time zone are you in? Also, have you looked into automating the process?
1835  Bitcoin / Group buys / Can someone start a group buy for the new BitFury miners? on: July 05, 2013, 03:22:45 AM
If you're not yet aware. 400 Gh/s BitFury miners are now available for 15,000 EUR with an August delivery date or 7,500 EUR with an October delivery date.

[ANN] Bitfury ASIC sales in EU and Europe

Can someone start a group buy with hosting and listing on the stock exchanges like ADDICTION did?

1836  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] Bitfury ASIC sales in EU and Europe on: July 05, 2013, 03:00:45 AM
Do you include the UK?
1837  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER Speculation Thread on: July 04, 2013, 02:52:26 PM
The change in share price over the past day should be enough to show that AM's share price has nothing to do with the actual value of the company and is entirely dependent upon speculators.

Everyone saying that AM is overpriced is correct, and the volatility of the share price just shows that.

Really ? I would say the past day was exactly opposite what you are saying
Given how fast price recovers, you're right. There is strong demand for 4-5 BTC shares.
It's mostly noobs panicking. I wish I had the time (and some meaningful capital) to participate every time!

Demand from who though? Speculators or Investors? If the demand was from investors who think 5 BTC is low, then the share price would be back above 5 BTC now.

So to all you "Investors" that keep claiming 5 BTC is low, why aren't you snapping up all these shares?

1,260 (6/16) = 7.4%

Cheers. I woke up 20 blocks to late for that one.
1840  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: I Predict Difficulty Will Be Over 100 Million by Summer 2013 on: July 02, 2013, 02:12:26 AM
This is mostly for my own amusement. Bump this to tell me how wrong or right I was when summer arrives  Grin

summer arrives. Your hit was 5 times to big Smiley

Well, he still has two more months. The term Summer 2013 is not a point in time but a range in time, from June 21st to September 21st.
He could still make it, but it is gonna be rough.

Great thread bump though Wink

He said when "Summer arrives" i.e. June 21st-22nd. So prediction was def off.

He said to bump the thread when summer arrives. His prediction was "I Predict Difficulty Will Be Over 100 Million by Summer 2013".

That actually means before the beginning of Summer, or to put it another way, by the end of Spring.
