Because pointing the old miners to Eligius and posting a link is bending over backwards?

No because there are many ridiculous requests coming from trolls like yourself that any normal CEO wouldn't even blink an eye at. Ken is in here almost everyday trying to restore confidence and be more transparent (very much so recently)

edit: can all yall tell im hungover today? no hard feelings trolls Smiley

How was my request ridiculous? The image you posted to "rebuke" me, shows a significant decrease in Avalon hashing power at a time when Ken supposedly has new miners hashing.

And you don't find that suspicious? Not even after all the shit Ken has pulled? Would you like to invest in my IPO?

Development board running here:

Early Prototype Development Board

Now create another account and put the old miners on it so we can see the two side by side, proving that you're not just using the old miners.

Here you go idiot:

That's not what I asked for you silly spazzy on a lazzy. I asked for proof, not a screenshot that can be created by any fool like yourself.

Ken please bend over backwards, touch your toes, do 5 jumping jacks and run 12 laps around the VMC office. Thanks!

I then place an order for Smart-Hash™ Slide Rails .
My BTC payment through mt.gox was accepted on 2013-11-26 08:11:10 .
And was delivered on 2013-11-26 08:11:10 .

I have been waiting for my hardware since 5+ months and have been pulling my hair out starring those blank slide rails since 4+ months .

And the mystery of the shipped product was solved!

Ken, are the chips you are using ours? it's a simple yes/no question, that we shouldn't even have to keep asking you for. It should have been all laid out in your announcement. Why do you keep avoiding it?

Of course they are not. How could they possibly be so? The 55nm chips were cancelled and the the 28nm design hasn't even taped out if it's even being worked on. Now stop asking this silly question. The chips are HashFast's.

We are currently running one of our Demo boards on BTCGuild and our total hashing rate is:

Team AMC:

 211435   926.93 GH/s
""Our existing hardware assets from AMC liquidation
6 Avalon miners, currently running on BTC Guild under "Team AMC" for around 430 GH/s;
An order of Avalon chips from steamboat's batch #1, for 68 Klondike-16 boards, rated at 68*16*282 = 307 GH/s;
An order of 20,000 Avalon chips (end of May and beginging of June orders), for a combined hashrate of 20,000*282 = 5,640 GH/s.

In total, around 6,377 GH/s, expected to be fully operational in the middle of August."

In a recent news video from about a month ago, it was clear you still had those machines. Thats 737GH so I dont know what to expect your demo board is worth - 190GH.

Without further explanation or (im serious) a photo, my assumption would be that you threw an antminer into your collection at a simple 375Mhz (190GH+/- 2GH) overclock.

nobody understands what is going on, and you are evidently a man of few and imprecise words. Maybe photography would be more your style if you actually want to post useful updates

+1

Weekly Update 3/19/2014

Here is the good news for March, we are rolling off the production line ~100 TH/s of mining gear which will be installed in our soon to be leased data-center.  We are expecting to have the 100 TH/s up and running on our BTCGuild account in the next 2 weeks, so everyone will be able to see the new hashing power.  We will then convert to sole mining over the next month.  After the first 100 TH/s is on line we will be increasing our hashing power on a regular basis.  We are expecting the next increase in hashing power to be ~100 TH/s within a month for a total of ~200 TH/s.

Active Mining PR Staff

Why is that good news? How much did you pay for that 100 Th/s and how much is the power bill going to be? How much will the 2nd 100 Th/s cost? Answer those questions and then we'll see if it's good news or not.

This announcement has to be we are using Avalon or AM chips. Look at the Avalon countdown. http://avalon-asics.com/

Ken is expected to release an announcement roughly 24 hours after that ends. Maybe a coincidence but the timing does align. I really doubt we have our own chips given past results.

Hmm perhaps we are still pursuing 28mm or whatever it is, but Ken has struck a massive deal with Avalon in the meantime (so we can start hashing) ?

isn't ken suppose to be in California this week for some sort of meeting?! , why would he announce this theoretical Avalon chips deal from there? I could be wrong maybe something else going on. At this point who knows  Huh

The FastHash ASIC was a failure, better buy some chips from HashFast instead.

Back on topic. So this Wednesday news won't be a 28nm then?

News will be nothing of value, nothing but words - guarantee it.

ActM could be purchasing Avalon or AM chips. This could be the best thing for ActM as Ken has shown he is too incompetent to bring an ASIC to the market himself. I wouldn't get to cheerful though if I was a shareholder. Remember the company that Ken blamed for cocking up? What was it they were making?

Oh boy, you lot are in for a pleasant surprise!  I am hoping it's gonna happen on Wenesday so I don't have to read all these gloomy posts anymore.

Also, I do not own any shares on CT and won't be buying any in the near future due to my insider knowledge.

So you are admitting to having insider knowledge while ACTM is being investigated? You've just killed off ACTM and got Ken imprisoned.

In fact it is also valid in the context of physics exams: since 1J=1Ws, W/GH/s is equivalent to J/GH

There is a very detailed post from DaT on the forums going into details (can't find it just now), but yes: AM's rev3 is at least twice as energy efficient as Avalon's rev3 (if expected values can be reached).

The confusion arises from people using the wrong units - "Gh" instead of "Gh/s"
1054  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER: Entering the Future of ASIC Mining by Inventing It on: March 09, 2014, 04:33:34 PM
Right now they are mining 50TH or so?  That's at 330mH chips.  I read somewhere (correct me if wrong) that new chips are 12.8GH each.

So that's 38.7x improvement in speed for gen3.  Using the same facilities from the 50TH they could get 2PH of mining revenue (if power was the same).  + additional from franchises.

Then chip sales.

All speculation.

not how it works. The old chips were 130nm. the new are 40nm.  (roughly 1/3rd = 9x the hashrate/power efficiency)

If the chip had the exact same footprint and power it would be about 2.5-3GH/s
Most likely the new chip will be larger and draw more power in order to attain the 12+Gh of the new chips, roughly 4x the size of the gen1 chips

Gen 1 chips were 6mm x 6mm
Gen 3 chips will be 8mm x 8mm, with 7mm x 7mm being possible

Can a signed message be sent from a cold wallet without compromising the private key? ie entering it online?

Armory can do this.

Ken hasn't said he is using Armory though I don't think. There is a security issue here we need to be aware of. You are asking Ken to confirm he has a million dollars of BTC on a laptop with Armory on it (for example) and his work address is public knowledge. Do you see the issue? I would think the cold wallet keys are kept in a safety deposit box in a bank in Springfield or Kansas City and there they should stay until they are needed and their safety shouldn't be compromised just to supply a signed message. Surely we want evidence of chips and not just company cash deposits?

There is no issue. Ken just needs to use the private key on a clean, offline computer to create a signed message and copy it to external storage then an online computer.
1056  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] Official Shareholder Discussion Thread [Moderated] on: March 03, 2014, 02:39:16 AM
The worst thing about this is that Ken was saying how great ActM's financial situation was (and still is) and how great the 55nm chip was before selling Ukyo's shares. Now the shares are sold, it turns out ActM's being investigated, the 55nm chip has been cancelled and bitcoins have been lost in Gox.

In his last update, Ken said:

Virtual Mining Corporation 02/27/14

Virtual Mining is currently processing and confirming pre-order refund requests. It is a very timely process because we are in the final stages of configuration before all of our pre-orders are shipped. Look to your email for product shipping order schedule. At the current time we are not immediately moving every order to a refund status due to our final staging and rigging our products for shipping.

We are contacting all of our valued customers with pre-orders  with our new product specification details that includes an increase in hashing power.  This increase in hashing power will make up for our delay in shipping.  Should any of our customers still wish to receive a refund even with the increase in hashing power please contact our customer service department.

Thank you for your continued patience and good luck on your Mining Ventures

What products would those be? The ones he just cancelled earlier?

*sigh* Maybe to distract us from the current Bitcoin bear market, we should talk about the upcoming gen3 tapeout announcement... that should be any day now right?

Before March, I'd guess. Tapeout should have taken place by now so they'll need a few days to receive sample chips, confirm/adjust the official specifications and we'll get an announcement.

Hmm... didn't know it was possible to get sample chips a few days after tapeout.

AFAIK they're producing maybe a wafer to verify everything's fine before producing the actual 100 (which then takes a month)

Yeah but those initial sample wafers will be about a month or two after tape out, not a day or two. Tape out is just the completion of the design. Turning that design into wafers takes weeks.

104 wafers. That's good, can anyone work out how many chips that will be in total.

A few other things to process there. I guess an info request from regulators is a good thing. Ken can you show them sufficient paper work for your orders and work in progress?

1.9 Gh/s per chip
6,800 chips per wafer
104 wafers
707,200 chips
1.344 Ph/s

Some of those chips won't work properly though so the numbers will actually be lower.

On Crypto-Trade:

I am hoping to get shareholders shares transferred ASAP and get full trading up and running.  We have received a letter from the Missouri Securities Division asking for information on Active Mining Corportation, at this point we have ask for more time to respond and have seeked legal advice.

Active-Mining PR

In other words, no trading any time soon due to being investigated.

No trading and being investigated by the Missouri Securities Division - not so good.
