I know there's a 100 btc redeemed bar on ebay:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/291419942852?ru=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.com%2Fsch%2Fi.html%3F_from%3DR40%26_sacat%3D0%26_nkw%3D291419942852%26_rdc%3D1

I'm sure the ebay store is operated by someone on here, I just cant remember who I'm afraid.

Good luck with your search anyway Smiley.

1849  Economy / Goods / Re: Selling Xbox ONE Console, Galaxy s6, s6 Edge Accept Escrow on: June 18, 2015, 03:56:04 PM
The good thing is that people are more aware of scams like this now so hopefully nobody will fall for it.
1850  Other / Archival / Re: Pictures of your mining rigs! on: June 18, 2015, 11:49:15 AM
A hacky scrypt rig I assembled a while back, overclocked slightly to 13.6-13.7 MH/sec (all devices are stock because I'm a chickenshit when it comes to actually hardware modding such things  Smiley )...  It's all stuffed into a PC case because the computer therein also serves as my network gateway/firewall, so it's up 24/7 anyway.  The strips of tape across the front are just to keep my cats out while the machine is closed-up, as the front "knockout panels" have long since been removed.

Nice job, that's a pretty funky little rig you've got there Smiley.
1851  Economy / Goods / Re: Selling Xbox ONE Console, Galaxy s6, s6 Edge Accept Escrow on: June 18, 2015, 11:44:56 AM
Newbie account + dropshipping sounds very dangerous to me, despite using escrow.

If anything goes wrong with the original purchase - stolen card for example - it can take up to a few months until they come knocking on your door;

every single time a "dropshipper" pops up on here with a great deal, it turns out to be a scam.  And yeah thats probably all it is, someone with a stolen credit card who is more than happy to order on amazon and send it to YOUR address.  It may show up, but YOU are the one with stolen goods now...

Very true, its really not worth the risk to possibly save a few $.
1852  Other / Politics & Society / Re: US to charge FIFA for corruption! on: June 18, 2015, 11:43:31 AM
• Investigation into 2018 and 2022 World Cup bids could take years

In that case, it seems very unlikely that Russia will be disqualified from hosting the 2018 World Cup. That said, anything can happen, if an American puppet is elected as the next FIFA president, instead of someone from the Blatter camp. Expect many more dirty tricks being played around, by both the sides.

My thoughts exactly!

Hopefully if there is any proof or corruption to do with Russia and Qatar winning the rights to host the world cup they should lose the right immediately. And I think we all know the only reason they won those builds was through bribes and backhanders. Money talks as they say, especially when it comes to FIFA officials, as if they aren't wealthy enough... Bunch of greedy bastards.
1853  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: CoinBet.AG Scam! on: June 18, 2015, 11:30:41 AM
Okay I sent them a message now. Also, that's mBTC not BTC Tongue. I would never bet that much. Anyways, the money doesn't matters, I just want the winnings I deserve (50mBTC).

That's definitely wrong, you've done the right thing contacting customer support, hopefully you'll get your winnings now Smiley.

EDIT: Keep us informed with any updates please.

Swiss investigating 53 cases of possible money laundering at Fifa:

• Swiss attorney general says ‘53 suspicious banking relations’ uncovered
• Investigation into 2018 and 2022 World Cup bids could take years
• Fifa’s Sepp Blatter and Jérôme Valcke not being ruled out of investigation

1855  Other / Politics & Society / Re: A Cop just told me, "Freedom doesn't exist anymore." on: June 18, 2015, 10:58:52 AM
Again, time of day had nothing to do with it.  Weird that people are so focused on that.  Perhaps most people don't understand the need to get yard work done early when it will be 115 degrees outside.  I'll say it one last time, this was not an issue of noise or had anything to do with the time of day.  If it was something so trivial, I wouldn't have felt the need to post it.  This was a cop probably 10 years younger than me who made a bad judgement and used the threat of jail to cover his tracks and intimidate.  I just wanted to highlight that.  If you want to take the police officer's side for why I'm at fault for clearly not breaking any laws, I'd venture to say you are what is wrong with America.  Even police officers have to follow the laws and can't threaten people with jail based on their opinions.

Edit: I was blowing dust off my driveway which a rake wouldn't help.  Quite normal in the desert.  I heard 2 neighbors do it this morning at roughly the same time I did.  It is so common that me being confronted by police for doing it and then urged to install cameras on my property gave me such a strange feeling I felt the need to post it online somewhere.

I'm sorry I misunderstood the severity of the conversation and certainly didn't realise he'd threatened you with jail! He sounds like a nasty piece of work Sad.

You're right, it would have gone viral by now if you'd recorded it, it's shocking.
1856  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: solo mining in lottery terms on: June 17, 2015, 11:22:15 PM
Not sure exactly what the odds are using lottery terms but it will definitely depend on your hashrate.

For example, an S5 (1.15TH) according to coinwarz will take 2148.02 days ( 5.8 years ) to find a block at current difficulty:
http://www.coinwarz.com/calculators/bitcoin-mining-calculator/?h=1150&p=600&pc=0.10&pf=0.00&d=49692386354.89380000&r=25.00000000&er=250.82000000&hc=0.00

Whereas 1PH ( 1000TH ) should only take 2.47 days to find a block: http://www.coinwarz.com/calculators/bitcoin-mining-calculator/?h=1000000.00&p=600.00&pc=0.10&pf=0.00&d=49692386354.89380000&r=25.00000000&er=250.82000000&hc=0.00

Ignore the watts and power cost its irrelevant Wink.

Right so if we take the S5 figure, for instance, and extend it with the average 144 blocks per day, I think it's 1 in 309,314.88. I also think all of these calculations are all restatements of what everyone in this thread said earlier. The lotto-type odds rely on difficulty and local hashrate. Difficulty depends on target. Target is reset every 2016 blocks based on global hashrate.

I've no idea mate I just go on coinwarz figures they seem to be pretty accurate.

EDIT: At the end of the day the more hash you have the better you're chance Grin.

Yep. But at the end of the day I want to be able to tell people what my odds are at hitting a block when running a little home miner (R-Box or U3... Maybe U2 or other USB miner). So for instance, at current difficulty, I can tell someone that little funny looking thing on my shelf gives me a 1 in 5.5 million shot at $6250 every 10 minutes or so for the cost of 15 cents a day. (of course at current btc value). It's a little easier way of explaining it to people to engrained in difficulties, blocks, hashrates, etc.

Thats all you can do mate I'm afraid, mining is so difficult now that unless you have mega terrahashes or a petahash its just not worth it really. Sad to say but true. Ocassionally you hear about a smallish miner hitting a block but thats very rare.
1857  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: should to move my ''saving'' to Bitcoin? on: June 17, 2015, 11:08:02 PM
Bitcoin is risky, don't let anyone tell you otherwise but it could pay off? Who knows it is your decision and noone elses.

yes i know, just want some advice, i'm really closse to actually doing it.

Its up to you buddy, I would but thats just me....
1858  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: How much money do I need to invest before I start making money? on: June 17, 2015, 11:05:24 PM
It doesn't matter how much you invest it depends on your electricity cost because thats the major expense in running bitcoin miners. If you're paying cheap electricity and have efficient miners then go for it but if you're like 90% of the world then electricity costs and miner costs are more than you can earn. Do the maths and you can work out whether its profitable or not.
1859  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Scam or Not? on: June 17, 2015, 10:59:32 PM

1860  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: is gambling fix your life? or wreck your life? on: June 17, 2015, 10:52:42 PM
I can take it or leave it. Having a game of poker now as we speak but not for much.

I cant understand how it ruins peoples lives, its never been that important to me.

I tend to play tournaments for smallish amounts or if I'm feeling lucky sit and go on a bigger money table.

And only when I'm bored and with money I can afford to lose.
