I am thinking so too.
Suddenly everything went quiet.

1842  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Introduction to DualMiner USB (could mine both BTC and LTC) on: February 26, 2014, 10:52:19 PM
Thanks!
Here is the exact code param I use.
--dualminer-pll 850
Let me know how that works for you.
Also make sure you have a good hub.  The DualMiner overclock also only works in scrypt mode not dual mode.  At least so far.

I just wanted to let everyone know I put up a small review of the DualMiner on cryptocoinsnews.com
http://www.cryptocoinsnews.com/2014/02/26/dualminer-sha-256-scrypt-usb-miner/

It really is a good product and I wanted to share my experience using it with everyone.

Good article.

I tried your overclocking params and no matter what CGMiner instantly shuts down. Could you elaborate on what you did to achieve that?

Thank you.
I appreciate it.

I also made sure to mention that Nate and Luke were working hard on getting support for them for MultiMiner and BFGMiner.

Good review Smiley

I appreciate you even developing this.  For people like me trading can be a pain trying to keep everything straight to make a bit of profit.
This is something that will help so much and maybe make it a bit easier to increase what little I have.
Keep up the great work.

Once I get a user interface slapped on, I will start bringing you guys in slowly.  I haven't forgotten about everyone wanting to help Alpha test - it's a very important part of the development process that will really help me test out capacity of the system.

Thanks for all of your support guys - this has been a lot of work and it's been nice being able to share my development on here without having to deal with the typical negativity and accusations you see fly around here sometimes.

On the DualMiner support.
I cannot get it to detect the unit.  It flashes the light on it and seems to know it's there but it never shows up in the device list.  I even tried on my laptop.
Do I need to add something somewhere?

LOL He got us good that is for sure.
Either that or he is lurking and seeing what we are discussing.

lol, so I just looked again at the OP...he only has one post here.   So he made his first post, asking for advice, and then never came back...and now we are just talking to ourselves about his potential investment that he probably never made...haha

1850  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bter Points BTR? What to do with them?? on: February 26, 2014, 04:18:46 PM
That is odd.
I did not get any points a few days ago for my trades either.
I hope it is temporary.  I like BTer because it supports some coins that don't get traded elsewhere.

Anybody know what happened bter points ? Some days ago trade disabled.  :-(

No problem and it is not an issue.
I just happened to notice it tonight when I was stuck in bed and using MobileMiner to check on things.

I hope this makes sense and I am not just exhausted and not seeing things correctly.

Got it - thank you!
1852  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: Would more than 1 rig add up to larger rig? on: February 26, 2014, 07:31:21 AM
I would buy an Ant S1 that way I could get 2.5 the gh/s at less power draw than my current Avalon 70 gh/s.
Then I sell the Avalon on ebay and then my break even ROI is only about $400 as opposed to $1200+.
Add in the power savings it is a good deal at least for me.

yes, they add up, as does your power bill, space occupied, time spent setting up and monitoring.

the main thing is: are you really considering buying ants, or whatever miners, right now?

if so, your losses will also add up
1853  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: MultiMiner Remoting & MobileMiner: Your rigs. Your coins. Your pools. Your way. on: February 26, 2014, 07:02:53 AM
In MobileMiner I can see the temp of my Avalon like this screenshot.

But in any of my MultiMiner instances I cannot see it.

I hope this makes sense and I am not just exhausted and not seeing things correctly.

On MobileMiner when I go to my Avalon it shows the temp yet in MobileMiner any of them all on the same network as the Avalon the temp is not shown.
Is this a bug or am I missing a setting?

I think you meant MultiMiner with one of these? I'm not quite sure what you meant - do you think you could post a couple of screenshots?

Sorry to be a pain - I have so many things going on these days it's easiest if I have a picture of something visual to go off. Thanks for understanding!  Grin

Another most likely obvious answer I cannot seem to find.
On MobileMiner when I go to my Avalon it shows the temp yet in MobileMiner any of them all on the same network as the Avalon the temp is not shown.
Is this a bug or am I missing a setting?

By the way I did not get to try the DualMiner version yet.  Spasms landed me in bed unfortunately.  I will attempt that tomorrow.
Thanks again Nate for the info.
1855  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: Would more than 1 rig add up to larger rig? on: February 26, 2014, 06:30:40 AM
Mostly and depending on the how many watts the single 900 gh/s uses you may be paying more in electricity for the 5 Ant S1's.
Ant's are nice rigs with a lower power consumption that other similar gh/s sized rigs.
I really wish I could afford even one of the Ant S1's for myself that would be great.

So if I bought 5 S1s, would I get the same results as a single 900 GH rig?
1856  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: Would more than 1 rig add up to larger rig? on: February 26, 2014, 06:17:40 AM
You would have the same output but the drawback is power consumption.  If you have gotten some older gear, run it until you can afford newer then sell the older stuff on ebay and the like.  That way your hash rate goes up and power consumption goes down.
I am still running a Avalon 1 70 gh/s, it runs great but does pull 600+ watts.
Once I can afford an Antminer S1 I will sell this one.

Hello All,

Just started learning about crypto currency and mining.
My question is: If I bought 10 rigs that ran at 200GH/S would that get the same results as running 1 rig at 1 TH/S?  If yes, what is the down side?  Just thinking if you can get a few cheaper older models, the price may be better than a newer faster one.
1857  Other / Off-topic / Re: Terrible Day on: February 26, 2014, 02:55:44 AM
I agree and thanks for the encouragement.
Each day I look at as a win.
My wife, daughter and the rest of my family are why I keep going.

Thanks for sharing.
I have been through divorce and financially difficult time as well.  Nothing so financially devastating as now.
This has been just horrible.  My wife and I have seen our savings gone and 401K used just to get by.  Medical bills are piling up.  We have a 15 month old daughter that we had wanted for so long.  It was devastating to get hurt like this when my wife was 4-5 months pregnant.

I hope that things get better for you.  I never wished divorce or relationship pain on even people I could not stand as it is so terrible.  You are correct as well the over thinking, anger and paranoia get overwhelming.  I hope that you can get through this soon.
No one should have to go through it.

As for me I am just trying not to let it beat me.  Nights like last and days like today make it difficult to deal with.  My daughter has been playing and after me to join her all day and she gets so frustrated I can't do much.  It breaks my heart.
We cannot even afford day care for her a couple days a week so she can spend time with other children.  It makes me feel like such a useless waste of space.
I just want to be healthy for my family and to know it will never happen is crushing.
One of the humiliating things with this is trying to get disability.  They treat you like you don't want to work and are a lazy criminal who has not worked a day in your life.
I've worked for 27 years and would now if I could.
It is demeaning to be treated like this because some people abused the system.

Keep your head up too and don't give up.  I am going to try not to as well.

Thanks man, you are awesome and so understanding.

Think about it this way, your entire family wants you to become healthy again and they all love you and care for you. You have to be strong for them.

You have to act strong and be strong to get through this. Your children are looking up to you and you have to show them that their father is a very strong man and if he can get through this problem, they themselves can get through anything.
1858  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: MultiMiner Remoting & MobileMiner: Your rigs. Your coins. Your pools. Your way. on: February 26, 2014, 02:06:15 AM
That works.  I had used a preview release on my other system that is down and I never had a chance to see if it worked that way or not.
I am going to try the preview now.
I am looking forward to trying the DualMiner support. Are there any other notable changes in the preview?

Dumb question.
Before I DL and install the test version of MuMi with DualMiner support does it update like the official version?
So when you release the official version I can just update to it?

Yes this will still update to an official version when it is released. The version # hasn't changed for the preview-release (only the build #).

Quite true.
We had been on a great run of luck too lately.  It was nice getting those quick payouts.
Still nice to get steady ones too that we usually get.

Everyone who wants to mine should be forced to play online poker first...

opentoe go ten table 25hrs a week for 12 months.  Then you will have no problem understanding variance!

I'm so beat I am not sure if I am up to installing then having to uninstall and re-install when the official release hits.
