1861  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Off-chain mixers on: May 10, 2023, 08:56:48 AM

However I wonder  Huh  why service like ChipMix was so popular since the chip appeared to be just a private keys.

We cannot say that it is an off-chain mixer because transactions are still taking place inside the network and have not left it, but the link between the sender and receiver addresses has been broken.

As for the reason why this method of mixing has not been used in any other sites, it is because of the risks of managing private keys in hot wallets, as hacking the site means end to that mixer, and such a method requires a lot of liquidity that the site must have (more than 500 bitcoins ) to ensure that every user who deposits will receive a private key to an address old enough to break the link between the current and past transaction history.

In short, such mixers need a lot of liquidity at the start of work, which is rare for a legitimate service, especially since they will work on the donation system.

1863  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Token/Coins pegged to real goods - Negative prices on: May 07, 2023, 11:12:22 AM
Commodities aka real goods are difficult to liquidate so that if the token has any problem with the price then selling those commodities will take time, this time is very valuable and investors will not wait until you sell the commodities and give them your money.
Also, when such a problem occurs, you become exposed in the market because you are forced to sell your goods, and therefore no one will buy them, because you will try to sell them in the fastest way, and therefore they will try to lower the price for you.

This is if we ignore the manipulation that can occur and the promise of the ability to verify pegged.
1864  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC 100K FOR 2024 ! on: May 07, 2023, 11:07:34 AM
At least try to defend your idea with some plans or logical evidence that may support or endorse what you are trying to reach. Either just the feeling that during the next year we will reach the price of 100 thousand dollars, it is just I hope from you, and if you adopt it as an investment plan, it is better to change it, otherwise you may lose a lot of money. Money because it is based on dreams, not logical analysis.

The closest analysis could well be that we will reach that price sometime between 2025 and 2032.
1865  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: New to Bitcointalk and have questions about a future service on: May 07, 2023, 10:54:38 AM
As far as the fees are good, the stable service of good quality that gives you access to many channels at good speeds (even for slow internet) is what will determine your success or not.
Unfortunately, a lot of digital products here are offered by scammers, so be friendly and try to gain people's trust by offering free offers and sending first to old members who wear predictions because those paid signatures enable them to earn good amounts every week and they will not defraud you because they will lose a lot.
1866  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Cartooned style video about Bitcoin for beginners on: May 06, 2023, 12:14:49 PM
I have not used Tik Tok before, but its impact on teenagers is very great, so it is a good way to introduce Bitcoin, especially to new generations, but then you must search for good sources for learning, otherwise you will find yourself far from learning good and valuable information.
Andreas M. Antonopoulos[1] has serious videos and a simple and clear explanation of Bitcoin from several technical aspects, and therefore I strongly advise beginners to follow his videos.

1867  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Are there boards or threads that a newbie is not supposed to post in? on: May 06, 2023, 11:58:28 AM
There are two boards I know of which is the Archival and the serious discussion board that newbies are restricted from posting on. Regardless, I don’t see any contribution that a newbie can offer that is beyond the remaining boards. Infact the beginner and help board covers almost everything for newbie, so you can post all your contributions there
In addition to those boards that you mentioned, this board[1] Investigations ----> https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=227.0 is restricted as it cannot be viewed by guests. You need to log in to be able to see the content, and the information contained in it is very restricted.

Also the Lending Board, newbies cannot ask for a loan without collateral.
@OP you do not need to worry much about these restrictions, you should focus on increasing the good content and sharing your information.

1868  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Investing and trading in crypto: can make you or mar you. on: May 06, 2023, 11:33:01 AM
What do you expect from people who seriously invest in Memes coins, or because someone like Elon Musk tweeted about it, or because of recommendations on social media, not to mention the madness of NFT and other recent events in the market, which indicate that many are investing with zero knowledge or even desire in learning. Most of the projects are paying more on marketing campaigns and high APY than on technical development, which makes them a big pump for hot money that quickly ends with losing wealth.

If you stay away from fast rich feelings and invest for a long time, you will notice a big change in your life. IM TALKING ABOUT BITCOIN HERE. Tongue
1869  Economy / Economics / Re: How the FOMC affects Bitcoin market. on: May 06, 2023, 11:08:02 AM
The assumptions on which this issue is based are urgent. The markets take some time to interact with the news, and we definitely have to wait until the week closes on Sunday to see the impact of the Fed's decisions on prices. The confirmed information so far is that raising the interest rate by 25 basis points has been included in the current rate, but trends that there will be no further interest rate hike is what we will see its impact in the coming days.

The continuation of the current bullish wave may end with a price above 35,000 before the end of this month.
1870  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Signature campaign post quota on: May 06, 2023, 10:53:44 AM
What do you think the right post quota per week?
If you are not satisfied with the rules of the campaign in which you participate, it is better to look for another campaign or to stop using signature campaigns. It is just a bonus and not a daily job that you need to strive to develop your certificates in order to preserve them.

BTW you are only newbie with only 60 posts, How did you know all these details? When I was in your rank, I could not distinguish between posting in some boards, or even knowing that there were paid signature campaigns in the forum. is this an ALT account?
1871  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Bitcoin fees - transaction cancelled on: May 06, 2023, 10:43:14 AM
If you can adjust your wallet node server, you will be able to watch this transaction, I do not know whether that option is available in that wallet, but that transaction can still be sure, as soon as you confirm it and the synchronization of the wallet will disappear from your wallet.

Thanks but I have a very important question here. Let's say I have signed a transaction using timelock for 20 years in the future. Then, let's say I die and my child needs to broadcast the transaction. What if he has the same problem and I am not alive to re-sign a new transaction?
When you sign a message with a timelock, after the transaction is confirmed, you do not need to re-broadcast it for the next 20 years, but those coins will be locked in that block till the locked block number. (so it is not about date)
1872  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Im trader new here but in the trading quite long Im looking for partners on: May 05, 2023, 12:03:50 PM
After all this time and after all these responses, you did not provide any signal.
if you are going to provide it for free and demand a return after success, sacrifice some free signals in public, especially since you do not want quick profit.

Personally, I advise anyone to stay away from any signs, especially those that ask you to come in private, even if you are not asked to pay money in advance.
1873  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: More exchanges shutting down, Hold your Asset with You on: May 05, 2023, 11:38:15 AM
There is no reason for you to keep your money on the platform after the trading is completed, all you need is to withdraw your money after you finish trading and divide it into several payments. It is true that you will pay higher fees, but you will reduce the risk if the platform decides to close your account or goes bankrupt.

2 . Bitcoincore is very good for your security measures over your asset and you can connect the software to run bitcoin node, for more details, check the link below
https://bitcoin.org/en/bitcoin-core/

Bitcoincore is not the ideal choice for your security, their security options are no different from other wallets that give the same result and with much less space, Bitcoincore is essential if you want to maintain your privacy.
1874  Economy / Economics / Re: Western Alliance shares on: May 05, 2023, 11:24:53 AM
Are you serious?  Grin
You're asking on bitcointalk bitcoin users if banks will face more difficulty and you think you will get a single nonbiased to the core answer who won't point at the banks disappearing by June, the fiat system collapsing and lemurs in Madagascar paying with bitcoins their mortgage?
This is the epicenter of the doomsayer's lair, banks are gone bruh!!! Don't ask silly questions! They are doomed!
I enjoy "black and white" opinions because at least they mean people continue to believe in something that won't happen anytime soon.
I was expecting to see the opinions of individuals about the rumors of bank collapse. I did not face such an option in the past. The worst thing I saw was that I moved to a country and the banks were suffering from a liquidity crisis, so restrictions were placed on the daily withdrawal limit, but to put your money and investments in a sector knowing that it may collapse, this is Courage (I don't mean the big banks)
1875  Economy / Economics / Western Alliance shares on: May 05, 2023, 02:01:41 AM
I think some of you may have heard of the story, but I did not see discussions here. I will quote the important points:
Quote
Western Alliance shares recovered from their session lows after the Arizona-based bank denied it was exploring a potential sale.

The Arizona bank described an earlier version of this FT report, which said it was considering a potential sale of all or part of its business, as “categorically false in all respects”, adding: “Western Alliance is not exploring a sale, nor has it hired an advisor to explore strategic options.”

Western Alliance has sought advice from the law firm Sullivan & Cromwell on dealing with the current turmoil in regional banking but said it had not hired them or other advisers to work on a specific transaction.

Sullivan & Cromwell said: “We have been providing legal advice around the banking situation to Western Alliance but neither we nor anybody else have been hired for a sale or a capital raise.”

Western Alliance, which has $65bn of assets, was trading down 26 per cent before the report was published, after which they traded down as much as 61 per cent on the day. The shares recovered before closing down 38 per cent.

Source ----> https://www.ft.com/content/bf2bd5af-1e55-4be3-b29d-f5cae9533b29

I don't know if it was the Financial Times report, but if one piece of news could have caused bank shares to decline by that much, then Bitcoin has become more solid and volatile than in the past.

What do you think, will we face more banks, more difficulties, or has the worst already happened?
1876  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Is it time for Old Signature campaigns to redesign? on: May 05, 2023, 01:49:21 AM
Another Signature campaign topic  Smiley Smiley we should stop taking this forum seriously or in terms of signature campaigns.

For me, the signature is more like a trademark. The repetition of its appearance in front of your eyes will make the campaign logo take root in your mind, and therefore, even if you do not click on the link, once you visit any site that contains the logo, you will try to use it because your memory is accustomed to it.

This reminds me of one of the gambling campaigns, and since I know nothing about gambling, as soon as I found their advertisement in a sports match, I was able to distinguish them.
1877  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: From Art to Assets: NFT Trading Expands Beyond the Traditional Market on: May 05, 2023, 01:06:13 AM
Our NFT comes with car VIN code and with 4 QR codes on the NFT:
1- Proof of Advertisement - proof that the car has been bought from a public car sales website;
2- Vehicle Possession Certificate - proof that the car has been removed from the government registry;
3- Vehicle Scrapping Certificate - proof that the car has been scrapped and no parts have reused;
4 - Proof of scrapping - video proof of car scrapping;
Since you do not cooperate with the authorities or there is a binding law to comply with such offers,

 - what prevents a person from providing false or inaccurate data?
 - What prevents you from tampering with the inclusion or removal of any NFTs because you are the one who sets the criteria for acceptance or rejection.
 - What is the benefit of NFTs here? I mean, wouldn't it be better to have a centralized service with a website, then the legal details would be easier because you would be responsible for any damage that occurred and managing everything would be easier.

Unless the user alone can set the parameters without your consent, they are not NFTs.
1878  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to maintain profitability in crypto trading on: May 05, 2023, 12:54:59 AM
1) Decrease your waste : if you want to maintain constant profits in your trading, you must reduce some special time you spend in some activities that will distract your attention in crypto trading because, crypto trading need constant attention so that you will not miss your profits at the moment.

This is very bad advice. Trading is not supposed to be an action that you follow every hour, but rather a strategy and a plan that defines countries and exit points and the profit-taking mechanism and leaves it to trading bots or the platform to place orders and therefore you do not need to be present to place and execute orders.

3) Increase your capital: if you want to maintain profits in your crypto trading, you need to work hard to increase your capital so that it will help you to buy huge amount of coins that will help you to maintain your regular profits in the market.
It may be good advice, but it is better not to invest more than you can afford to lose, otherwise the psychological damage will be great, not to mention the financial impact.

Returning the profits you made as an investment will be a good advice.
1879  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Is Tornado cash still up and usable? on: May 05, 2023, 12:42:13 AM
I've been wondering why it's called whirwind but I can't figure out where you got it from. Grin

Why the site interface is similar to the mixing service from @whierwindmoney, the similarity is almost close to matching.
I thought I was the only one who noticed it

Especially the side of the statistics where there is anonymity set  Shocked
Maybe they got some inspiration from tornado.cash
Neither this whirlwind got inspiration from tornado cash nor the maker from the tornado cash family But both are great  Grin
The only difference is that tornado is (air-based phenomenon) while whirlwind is (earth-based phenomenon)[1].
Also the extension  tornado.cash while whirlwind.money Tongue

I don’t know if using the current service is worth the risk knowing how this project was already under the watch of the government.
There is no guarantee that any future version will be run by the government or that there will be development of the project.
1880  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: FED raises fund rate and Signal possible paused on: May 04, 2023, 03:15:16 PM

What do you think will happen? this is a type of event that every 16 years actually has this problem due to inflation. Please also give your opinion on this matter.

Reference: https://www.washingtonpost.com/business/2023/05/03/fed-rate-hike-powell-banks/
The hypothesis is that the price will move according to the interest or that bitcoin is the only trend of cash flows is not true, the markets have already the price of 25 basis points a basis point during the past month, so it is in my view, the probability of the price raises above 30K is not possible or at least Not sustainable. Real heights may take place after more than a month when the next meeting comes, but all this by assuming that the interest is the basic price controller (which is not a precision).
