According to Daily Tribune PH sports columnist Ian Suyu, as per Meralco Bolts' Head Coach Norman Black, the team will conduct an exit interview with its players starting today, April 25, 2022. For who are those players, we don't know. One thing is for sure, they want to revamp their roster next conference.
For me, they are already good and seeing their roster, they have one of the best rosters in the league especially if it's an All-Filipino Cup. They don't need a revamped but just utilized their players and give others more minutes. Since there will be no import next season, it might be easy for Coach Norman to test some rotation.

This is my first to hear such news regarding exit interviews on a basketball team. I thought exit interviews will be done only to those who have already tendered their resignation, this is weird for me. IMO, Meralco Bolts is not a championship team in the PBA, they are just lucky to be in the Finals because of their very talented import same with NLEX, the priority of their company is TNT but if they are serious in this one then it's good and I think it will start with the coaching staff. Agree that they are already good, it's just that some of the players lack exposure and the playing time. I wonder why Mac Belo has not been playing heavy minutes considering that this guy is very talented. So yeah, the coaching staff should start experimenting with the locals next conference and see what works for them. |

Maybe Shakur is very confident that he will destroy Oscar Valdez, after all he is the betting favorite if I'm not mistaken.
But yeah, there are boxers who doesn't talk that much but would rather to the work inside the ring. So this is still very close fight as both fighter are still in their prime. This is going to be another compelling fight for boxing fans.
Shakur is still the favorite in this match, he is just too fast for Oscar Valdez, that's what the bookies are thinking and some boxing analysts as well. But we know that a single punch can slow down a fast Shakur so this one is an exciting fight as both are still in their prime and a powerful punch could turn the fight around so Shakur will have his guard up until the final bell rings if he wants to win this one. People are motivated by defeat, not victory. When a boxer wins too often, he gets the feeling that he is invincible. It seems to him that he is stronger than any of his opponents. However, this is a false feeling. On the contrary, after winning the ring, you need to train even harder. However, Shakur Stevenson gives the impression of a confident person. And that's bad... And If Donaire wanted to win against Inoue, he'd rather develop his body weakness as this is the most possible target otherwise, he losses again.
He must find a hole for Inoue in order to take him down as he is firm and strong that he can really take a hard punch at their first meet. For this rematch, he must have to be more aggressive as this is the only way Inoue can make preparation for the next move.
They don't have a long age gap that is why I don't weigh this as a factor as experience is really an advantage when it comes to boxing sports.
The age gap is 10 years and in boxing, it is already considered a wide margin plus the fact that Nonito Donaire is 39 years old, this is to his disadvantage as reflexes as a boxer reduce as an individual aged, of course with an exemption to a few boxers who really excel even though they are 40 years old but to most this is a disadvantage. Inoue has learned a lot from their first fight so I think he will be very careful in the rematch so as to not fall prey to Donaire's lethal left hook. Donaire's chance here is a lucky punch that Inoue won't see though very slim but still a possible scenario. |

Is there a rumor about the possibility of Christian Standhardinger being shipped to another team or does he have some misunderstandings with some other guys out there in their locker room? Is that what you meant, mate? Although not much productivity in the recent Finals, his presence inside the paint is effective to cover the absence of Japeth Aguilar in both offense and defense. But yes, he might want again to be one of the main options of a team and not just doing a backup role where he hasn't used to be. Yup, that is what I meant. There are even talks that he will be shipped to Magnolia in exchange for Calvin Abueva and also there was a rumor that he will play in Japan but that is not possible now as he was offered a contract extension which he already accepted. Though not too productive in offense but his defense on Tony Bishop was extraordinary for me as the latter's offense mainly came from outside jumpers, rarely in the paint as CStand was always there ready to bang bodies with him. |

Sultan was able to hold until the end of the Match though, that can also be a good one considering that he was being substitute last minute, he might have a problem with his trainings. I see the improvement of Butler but I believe if Casimero will able to fight, Butler will surely loss the fight. Well, Sultan have to recover and be better on his next match, most probably there will be another fight for him.
I thought that it would be a competitive fight because Sultan have prepared for that fight as he was advised by MP Promotions to do so because they know that Casimero is in trouble weeks before the fight. I could now say that Sultan will be just a stepping stone for upcoming young boxers that has some potential. But let us also give credit to Team Butler for preparing well for the fight even though they were facing which they not too familiar with. |

Its very unfortunate to see how the fight end up and seems sultan fighting style is so lousy since he can't adjust for what gameplay Butler show on that match. Now Gibbons is packing up things since Butler take the belt. If Casimero is there for sure we can see different story on that fight since Butler looks like like lack of stamina especially on late rounds on that match. Agree, it could have been a KO win for Casimero but it is what it is lol. As I've said in my previous post that the real enemy of Casimero is himself. All he has to do is make the weight and walk into the ring and go home a champion still but unfortunately, it didn't happen as making weight for the bantamweight limit is just not possible for him in this stage of his career, he need to move up now. |

I've read a post that if ever Meralco wins the 6th game, then the game 7th is going to be on the Philippine Arena. Well, it's already been said here IIRC a few days ago.
But the thing that caught the attention of the people on that post is about "IF". They've given a big meaning to that because they're telling that Ginebra is going to lose in advance.
I wonder what would be the total crowd number if we are able to go for a game 7, well Ginebra didn’t need to wait for that moment and they want to claim the championship already. That was a great run by Ginebra and every player really contributes, they all deserve the title and congrats to all the bettors who also won a money by supporting Ginebra that includes me. I think the total number of people watching the do-or-die game would reach 60k individuals, unfortunately, Ginebra Kings did not let it happen though. I hope that win of Ginebra last night would end all speculations/rumors that PBA games are staged. Personally, I did not bet on that game as I thought that Meralco would win because the series is a see-saw battle (not because it is staged). |

- Japeth Aguilar's recovery but it's just an extra 2 days. Not enough time to ease his injury that got re-injured on Game 4.
Meralco
- Just an extra period for their rest days.
Therefore, not that much advantage for both teams if Game 6 will be delayed. A fire incident that is claimed to be scripted should now be debunked.
The delay can still benefit them considering there’s still time to prepare and only the best team can able to adopt the situation. The fire is not scripted, no one will do that kind drama its real and big dome is at stake by that time luckily no one hurts and the fire is already under control. MOA will be a great place for Ginebra to be a Champion though, let’s see this. I do agree that the two extra days are very helpful for the team to rest especially to those who are injured like Japeth Aguilar as he is on a day-to-day basis in terms of his status to play. MOA is a very good venue but I think Smart Araneta Coliseum can accommodate more people than MOA if I'm not mistaken. If this series goes to game seven, I would not be surprised if this will be staged at the Philippine Arena. |
