Where can I locate the function in one of the old miners source code to add interface to fpga processing? Or which mining software is the easiest to use as reference design (learning purposes)?

Thought I'd give you all a heads up warning.
I'll be away overseas, enjoying Japan from the 5th to the 23rd of January.... While this is the time frame that perhaps one of the first ASICs comes into existence, the fact is that I really couldn't care less while travelling. Thus I wish to inform you that my right hand man, Kano(i), will be the only person around who will be producing officially sanctioned cgminer code while I'm away. So if and when the hardware does appear, and you wish to use cgminer to mine on that hardware, please use source and/or binaries provided by him.

if i remember rightly luke-jr made his own alt coin a few months ago, i think it was BBQ coin or something. it didnt catch on which is why i think that he now hates alt coins like litecoin because they have succeeded where he failed.
if an altcoin had no benefits or competition, there would be no reason for him to get so emotional about it. i dont get emotional of the threat that monopoly money will become mainstream. because they have no value or demand beyond the game, so i dont care about it.

Luke-Jr hates altcoins, hes a religion fanatic who trys to enforce stuff on others. unfortunately the core devs/team dont care about that, if it would be the community to decide Luke-Jr would have been banned already long ago. at the time of bip 17/22 the devs were talking about removing him due to his disruptive influence - all seems to have settled down and be buddy buddy now.... Luke is a well known wiki vandal - he has put his opinions and heavily edited the Bitcoin wikis Litecoin page - part of the reason the Litecoin wiki was created I have also asked him why he put scrypt support in his mining software as he is so opposed to alt-chains - he refused to answer my question (as usual) ah, good to see! there is still hope. |

wrong strategy, give 1 unique address per client/user, give them a option to renew this address too. the wiki covers such situations.

The massive amount of bandwidth usage certainly doesn't help things. I tried p2pool again yesterday and racked up 1GB in just over 12 hours (even with only ~3 incoming connections). I can't really spare 1.5-2GB a day on a 150GB monthly limit.

so, my son's uncle is 3.5 years old. and every single time they play together, he hits my son on the head with a toy or something... His parents give him time-outs or wtv. but it doesn't work, he literately will go hit my son again 1 min later So he smacked my son today, and I smacked him.  this caused a bit of a fuse.... ya sure its not my kid and i shouldn't be disciplining him.... wtv... i got mad he got smacked, big deal. its been like a year we keep explaining to him that what he's doing is "not nice" I'm fed up. if it was my kid always hitting a smaller kid, I'd smack him!
