Yes I know it's 2 of 3 multisig, can you also please agree to use hardware wallets. You have all been trusted with a lot more funds then this will probably get to, but it's more the point now just to show that extra caution is good, you can never be too paranoid, whatever. This on top of the lukejr hack just gives BTC and this forum a bad look at the moment.

I never use hardware wallets - would not even know how to start with using one. I have quite a few of em in my collection though I use core - does that count? This is to show that one person cannot up and run with the funds - provide a bit more peace of mind. There is not enough money in existence to make me take it. My face is known, my name is known, my address is known and quite frankly I am simply not built that way.

As a note - apple has one similar “bitcoin address tracker”

I agree - I think Cygan is approaching it from his role of being the CEO anything he spends ahould then either come from yogg now or at some future point.

Congrats to the winners and thanks for the raffle!

I offer to volunteer but would also suggest minerjones
If it needs to be it could be done as a multisig wallet with 3 key holders requiring that at least 2 agree to send the funds - this way no 1 person can walk away with it
Okay the 3 key holders sounds better. Can you organize this? Yes - will get with MJ tomorrow to confirm and we will provide an address at that time

You were part of the inner circle…
Makes you wonder who else is in that "inner circle" and how much of other people's money they have access to... inner circle = trusted creators Nothing more

If I see any of these things on eBay where someone here is trying to rip off the unknowing… it wont be pleasant.
We cannot become scammers just because we all got scammed.

As hard as it may be to swallow, it would be prudent to peel - yoggs process was described as one where no keys were held or saved - the fact that he “found a random usb drive” would make me believe there could be other such drives and based on his dishonesty about it, I would not want to trust any sats to him any longer than necessary.

The point here is ban evasion

yes timezones can be an issue. would love to see his txn id to see if others were taken that late as well.
|
|

...
that shows your funds were swept at 630pm yesterday - that would put your sweeping at a time long after the others. Did he give his explanation to owlkatz and then start sweeping more cards?!?!? maybe provide txn id to see if additional cards were also swept at the same time.

I believe both of those above are only to address the funds stolen. which only affects the halving folks - in a way that is great as everyone else has been able to sweep their funds so far.
I dont know how one would address lost "premium" - get proof of the purchase?
for some that might be hard, but I keep all my purchases in a database so was quickly able to see I spent ~0.78 btc - being that I was able to pull .035 off the cards that makes my loss only ~0.75 plus the loan and cards never received etc.
which for me is a huge loss as that is approx 14.5k USD right now.
And I had a small collection - those with larger ones are probably look at easily 2x to 3x the loss that I have.

I am sorry to hear that many people have lost money due to a security issue with collectibles they purchased on bitcointalk. I understand the importance of security and will ensure that all of my future artworks, including those loaded onto opendime, are as secure as possible. I will also work to improve security for second markets. Despite facing difficult challenges in the past, I am committed to doing my best and will never compromise on security.
yogg forgot the first step - the most important step 1. DONT KEEP COPIES OF THE KEYS!!!!

is it possible to keep all the coldkey stuff in the one or two already existing primary threads about the matter? we are now pushing 5 or 6 threads all basically about the same thing - it can make it hard to keep it all straight and to keep everyone informed with so many repetitive threads.
I understand your concern and points...but most of these will be lost in one thread and I need to make people aware that I am willing to help out as well. One thread...my issues will be lost in there somewhere...by creating a post everyone is aware once started. But I promise you no new threads will be made. We have to tell people of whats happening and Help them as well. I already have people DMing me their qr code raw hex data etc etc Cheers I get it - for me it gets lost more easily when there becomes 10 places to go to for one subject because there are 10 different aspects of that subject vs 1 location for the subject that covers all aspects. I prefer the 1 location myself.

What he did is sacrilegious amongst us collectors.
Unforgivable no matter what the circumstances.
I ain't no whale and the money I just lost I worked and still Work very very hard for. He stole from my family's mouths.
this ^^^ I luckily got all my funding back but also lost the .78227786 that was paid in premiums for the cards themselves. This becomes a loss, add in the .05 loan, the 25 cards not delivered on... and the funds I swept pale in comparison.

How do i send my BTC from a cold key?:
You cut around the hologram on the back with a sharp knife and pry it open (making sure not to scratch the QR code underneath). The QR code contains the private key which you can sweep with Ballet Wallet/Coinomi/Mycelium/etc. can someone explain me step by step how to get the funds transferred from the coldkey cards with the ballet wallet app? the app does not accept the qr code/priv key... sent you a message on discord can walk you thru if you need help.

How much bitcoin has he known to have swiped in total now? Realistically what can the police do? I don't see how they could help in this situation
It's a pretty open and shut case of theft and fraud and one that he's seemingly admitted to so the police should probably be easy to prosecute and I would recommend people do that unless he's going to act pretty swiftly to try return users funds which is probably unlikely. Seems to be a premeditated scam as well or at the very least something that he purposely left open to be able to steal in the future should he ever need the money. There was 1.6 btc loaded on to all the coldkey halvings by my calculations. Probably a little more with prototype/proof versions. Coldkey Raffle allegedly held .19 btc (from Yoggs post) but based on the coldkey website he sold a lot less than that (214 in stock, 42 sold x .0025 funding = .105). By my calculations- he was able to steal less than 2 btc right off the bat. Sold out his name, his company, his friends, EVERYTHING- for 40k. Now I’m sure he wasn’t counting on people watching addresses, but he obviously doesn’t know Yoda. At Yodas pressing, I had just finished uploading all my collectibles addresses into the btc tracker app a day or 2 before. So even tho my cards were not in hand, I could instantly verify that they were swiped. I personally consider all Coldkeys made after the halvings as definitely compromised and will most likely be swept. You do not keep a copy of the keys of just one release and then stop. The earliest coldkeys may still be safe as hopefully, Yogg didn’t plan from the get go to be a scammer, but all premium is gone - so I would obviously peel them. all my collectibles are loaded as well in a program, Awesome miner - which I use for my mining farm monitoring, so part of it also has a wallet watching feature. so every loaded collectible i have is there with the exception of XMR items my point in the above, is that yes it is good that yoda was watching - and everyone should do something similar to watch their collectibles addresses.
