From what I remember, there was not much demand, so he took most of the 250 of each and made them into the gold plated 8-coin set varieties that would mean then that the mintages for the silver ones are a bit less - if they were approx 30 of each gold version, then instead of 250 silvers, there would be only around 220 or so - right? There were a total of 8 different finish coins for the big set... so if 30 of each would be 30x6 = 180 since 2 of the coins in the set were the 2 different all silver ones 250 + 250 = 500 - 180 = 320 / 2 = 160 of each silver left over ahh i thought he was saying 30 total not 30 of ea so yea less silvers than the gold tones then lol |

Yeah this is a beautiful coin, but I think I'm most impressed by that holo. Amazing work  Curious why you snuck a Monero logo into a Bitcoin denomination coin tho? Symbolism Monero is going dark in its technological advancements and it is "setting" like the sun does on the horizon. |

Rare coin to come across...especially on Ebay...were these gold plated?
Also have they ever been sodl here on the forum? Price reference would help to see what these go for here on the forum.
Mostly a higher price is almost always achieved outside forum
well, it is being sold by someone here on the forums just not here - on ebay where it will fetch a higher premium is my guess

there are 2 others though not gold like the one above.
I started looking for them after I noticed the hologram has a Monero logo on it which seemed odd for a Bitcoin coin.
you could ask eclipse as the ones I looked at today are being sold by eclipse, and the one you refer to was also sold by him if I recall.
I hate ebay though as it can be often hard to find something when people mislabel things - I know they do it to drive traffic but it's super annoying af.

Box is amazing work. Held together by hand notched dovetails (at least that’s what it looks like to me). Auction ends at 2:00 pm US Central time today Still way undervalued compared to what I paid and what these historically go for. Good luck to all bidders and thanks for bidding yes it is far below what you paid but still at nearly 4x the original price. I never saw the original price or presale price - but did see the auction by claycast where they were over 3k fiat with a lot of people fighting for it. Presale price must have been great but I’m guessing it took a long time to receive it. Either way - what’s done is done - if I take an L then at least it’s just $$$ yea, I only know the original price because it was mine lol I was glad to see the price go up further though I still think you took a loss sats wise. |
