anyone who believe 7% weekly, deserve to lose their money. Heck I'd be extremely happy with stable no risk 7% annually.

What is this new "progress game" thing? I don't really understand how it works, can you add a explanation to the page?

I'm also wondering how long it would take to crack an address/key pair. For example, let's say I have a lot of hardware at my disposal, and can generate 1 Billion address/key pair per second. How long would it take to crack a specific address? can some one do a math on this one? I would guess not very long.

The odds of losing all 9 bets is 1 in 416. It's unlikely, but not impossible. >>> 1 / 0.511719**9 415.6388335394661 Can you explain how this formula works? I didn't get the same result using the formula.

Chance are negligible. If collision occurs with a funded address, attacker you can transfer funds elsewhere.
Chances are still negligible when 1 billion people are using it? also can't I just run some kind of bots, that randomly generate addresses to see if they have funds in them? Yes, chances remain negligible. You could run your bot, but it'd be a waste of electricity. Chances are you'd wait the lifetime of the universe before finding a collision. But probability also says, I could have a success on my first run? isn't it?

What are the chances of an address collision? when for example 1 billion people are using bitcoin and on average they generate 10 address per person.
also what exactly will happen when address collision occurs?

I think you are confusing java with javascript. Javascript is quite safe and there's almost no security reason to turn it off. Mostly it could do XSS and that is only if the site programmer implemented security poorly. good lookin' out. Will be curious to see if Oracle pushes a patch out any time soon. And even then I wonder how many machines exists that don't auto update java properly due to pre existing malware or other misoncfigurations. as for me, I always drive with the java key in the off position and only allow individual modules to load on a case by case basis... for anyone else; Java permissions in IE http://support.microsoft.com/kb/315674In Chrome; chrome://chrome/settings/content and tick the box for 'do not allow any site to run javascript' To then enable it for a site you trust, you will see a small icon with a red x, at the far right side of the address bar. Just click it and select 'always allow javascript on this site'. Then refresh the page. For firefox the addon 'NoScript' should do the trick. With it enabled all scripting is blocked in a site and you then enable the compenents you want to allow on a particular site by right clicking in the page or clicking the NoScript 'S' icon while on the page and allowing the site and or subsites you wish.

A great thanks to Pratyeka. And I'll probably donate less to wikipedia this year... I stopped donating when they started deleting. They have deleted a huge amount of interesting material since the rise of deletionism at Wikipedia. I thought deletionist were always dominant at Wikipedia.

the page has become very slow for me, due to the huge wall of "recent bets". Can we paginate or filter the recent bets section? for example I only bet on lessthan 24000, so just let me filter the recent bets section to lessthan 24000 only, and show me only 20 lines.
The "unconfirmed" section is just unnecessary for the frontpage, move it to a separate page.

Actually the botnet operator herself said windows is just as secure as macos or linux, it is just that botnets don't target linux because its tiny market share and the users are often knowledgeable about computers. Please avoid this Windows bullshit. Those are Windows boxes because noobs use Windows and not Linux. And, since they are noobs, they keep their computer NOT secure, unprotected and vulnerable to everything The problem is the user, NOT the operative system.
A skilled person is safe with Windows or with Linux A Windows Security Experts advice to Noobs: Noob: What can I do to improve my Windows security? WSE: Install Windows ($150) latest updates ASAP. Make sure you are running a good up to date Anti-Virus. ($59.99) Make sure you have a good Firewall turned on. ($39.99) Don't click on or install dumb shit. (Priceless) A Linux Security Experts advice to Noobs: Noob: What can I do to improve my Linux security? LSE: Install your Linux (Priceless) distro's latest updates and fixes. Don't click on or install dumb shit. (Priceless) The cost of being secure on W?ndows? $250 The cost of being secure on Linux? Priceless

This is actually due to google's recent "penguin" algorithm update. A lot of junk results rose to the top. Google it.
I have actually switched to Bing.com due to this update.

Hey all - yes today (and yesterday) were very messy with the payments. We've change the coding now and we think it will be much better. I really appreciate all the patience and feedback. We're working on it until it runs smooth as butter. To address some former posts - we have not/will not change SatoshiDice payouts to require a confirmation. The goal is always for the payout to be instant. And if there are any material changes to how it works that would affect your bets, we will absolutely post it here. Hang in there everyone! PS - as the site owners, we are at a net loss thus far as our luck has been terrible last few days. So, I hope you're all enjoying your net winnings! SatoshiDice has been a charity to you all so while I'm crying I hope you're happy! I think it's not your luck, some one is cheating the system, I've been watching for 3 days as your btc pool fallen from 250+ to now 14, there's some type of cheating going on. Some one is winning consistently, with large bets, on very low winning odds, though he does throw in some small losing bets to make it look more natural.

I think require deposit + login would be a good idea to allow instant results.

I think there's something wrong, I observed the whole day today, the lessthan 12000 bet wins way too often, the odds of winning seems more like 50%+ instead of 18%, the pool has went down over 150 btc today.
for example, these happened in the past 10 minutes, this has been going on all day today:

This sounds very much like a Ponzi scheme.
I don't see how it can be since it pays 5.0%, 5.5% or 6.0% per day return. If it was a Ponzi scheme it would have a lot smaller return in order to last longer. Why would they use such a large return if it were just a Ponzi scheme? As a Ponzi scheme it would not be able to be supported with such a high rate of return. Also, why would you put HYIP right there in the name if you were a HYIP? In order to make the 6% per day return I had to move all of my money out of my Pirate@40 account into this one. Do you really think that was a mistake? Nope, a ponzi scheme can run perfectly fine with 5% daily return, as long as new investor growth rate is able to cover that, you will always have positive cash flow.
